Dragons Delight Cafe in Zuid Pijp

A very nice spot by the river. The breakfast we'd imagined after reading Google didn't disappoint; everything was delicious and just like in the photos: orange juice, smoothie, granola with red berries, and banana breadcake! A delight. The service was very good, even though you have to order at the counter, which isn't really our usual thing. The place itself is simple and efficient, with a bit of an old-fashioned tea room feel.

Food was absolutely incredible! The Full English Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, including in England! Smoothie was amazing as well. Highly recommended

Great breakfast options. Good pancakes and vegan options as well. Big groups also welcome, they take all the orders and then cook so you eat together which is nice. Pricing is great as well.

Absolutely amazing food, we had berry pancakes and smashed avocado & eggs. The portion size is insane!!! I only wanted something small with being very hungover, but I just had to eat all the eggs and avo cause it was so good!!! The smoothies and fresh orange juice were also amazing. Highly recommend 👌

I swear their breakfast pancakes with maple bacon, the thick good happy English bacon gets better and better each time order it. Which is almost weekly ! Thanks Sam!! it’s my favourite meal

Had an amazing breakfast here: berry pancakes and a coffee. The pancakes had great texture and there was a generous amount of berries and sauce. Servers were really kind and quite fast. Loved the fresh air outside and met a stranger with whom I had a great conversation, 10/10! 🥰

Super fast service though we did book but it still only took 15mins free Wi-Fi and amazing food we had the breakfast pancakes and it was super delicious and very filling

2 hours for a cold, flavorless sandwich and a hot juice

We ordered food and it came 1,5 hours later. Because of this reason the food was very cold and drinks were hot. There was no traffic and delivery was made with bike so there was no reason to be late but food came 1,5 hours after we ordered. The food was not tasty and bread was very hard to eat. I will not eat from here again.

Great spot for a propper English breakfast

Realmente disfruto de las selecciones de desayuno Inglés. Y el panecillo del desayuno es magnífico. Llevé algunos pasteles conmigo y todos estaban súper ricos. Lo recomiendo mucho y es mi lugar de referencia para desayunar en Ámsterdam.

I had the blueberry scone and it was beautifully made! Served warm with clotted cream and jam, it had a great texture and taste. The earl grey tea was nice as well. I had been trying scones around Amsterdam in search for a good place and I think I finally found it. And for great prices! Will be coming back.

No volvería como desayuno muy mal preparado, El tocino estaba quemado, pero tibio caliente, que era mejor los frijoles que estaban fríos como piedra. Todo parecía como si los ingredientes hubieran estado rondando la cocina durante algún tiempo. Nada se servía caliente. El pan de masa agria era como cartón. La peor experiencia gastronómica que hemos tenido en Amsterdam. Te preguntas cómo sus calificaciones de consejero de viaje son tan buenas cuando nuestra comida era tan tenida.

Absolutamente increíble almuerzo. Visita obligada. 10 / 10 . Nos vemos mañana por la mañana para otra. Recomiendo encarecidamente el aguacate y el tocino aplastados

Picked up food here yesterday as a driver for Uber eats. What nasty staff. The lady behind the counter yelled at me to go outside and use the other door. When I indicated that I had tried it and it was closed, she said I should have knocked. How can I know that if there is nothing mentioned on the door about knocking. In addition, this all happened early in the morning, there were no guests in the business yet.

Very casual but cosy place. Not too many tables, but it was not crowded in the morning. Tried Breakfast Pancakes and English Breakfast. Both were very good! Portions big enough so better be hungry :)) Had vegan choices as well.

Good, hearty food. Super friendly service. Enjoyed it so much I went back my 2nd morning in the area. Would definitely recommend

Went here 3 times during our stay in Amsterdam and every time it was 10/10 food was great and service was outstanding, the kind lady that served us also gave us good ideas and directions for what to do whilst we stayed, would definitely recommend going

We came for breakfast and ordered the lovely smoothies and the chocolate pancakes for my son, banana pancakes for my husband and the best thing they even had vegan pancakes for me since i am a vegan for my auto immune disease. The lady ewas super friendly even though we were super early. We will definitely be back to try different things on the menu.. ( probably the whole dessert menu🤗)

Went here early on a Sunday-perfect spot to have a quiet breakfast. Had simple pancakes-fluffy on inside and a little crispy on outside…perfect! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will defo go again.

Nos encantó este lugar. Fantástico desayuno y brunch. Mucho, mucho mejor que el desayuno restaurante del hotel de 5 estrellas de al lado. Amplia variedad de opciones. Grandes opciones de cafés especiales. Las tortitas estaban esponjosas, justo. Tostadas francesas deliciosas. Los pasteles tenían la textura, humedad y sabor perfectos. ¡A nadie le gustan los pasteles secos desmenuzables! El servicio fue muy amable y rápido. Nos quedamos muy decepcionados cuando nos enteramos de que están cerrados los martes y miércoles por la mañana! Porque no podía conformarme con otro sitio después de comer en Dragons Delight. ¡Volveremos seguro!

Dragon’s Delight is a nice low key place to get a good breakfast. A rarity in Amsterdam to find a place that is not crowded, and has good food and good service. The pancakes are thick and fluffy. I recommend the chocolate pancakes. The bacon (3 different styles) and scones (6 different kinds) are also very nice. The one retraction is the sausage used in the English breakfast is not the tastiest. Enjoy!

took some time to get the food but when it came, it was amazing <3 we had the egg and avocado toast, one spicy and one not, and an english breakfast. big portion sizes and very tasty. the blueberry scones were incredible!! highly recommend

This cafe is a hidden gem, I had the large full English breakfast, which cost €15, which is quite a good price for Amsterdam, it was very well cooked, I found it to be of better quality than quite a few full English breakfasts I’ve had in England

I ordered American pancakes with cheese, ham, eggs and maple syrup… I have already tried 5other places that sell pancakes with this being the BEST TASTING PANCAKES !!!

What a find! Opposite our hotel, it meant we didn’t have to rush up for breakfast rather could land here when suits. We enjoyed full English, vegan berry pancakes, the best OJ, berry smoothie and cappuccino’s during our stay. Clean, staff super friendly and helpful. Accommodating to any allergies. Would highly recommend and we would return when back in Amsterdam. They deliver too - what better than a full English arriving at your door after a night out in town!

This place does not match the positive reviews. Food is okay. Pre cooked stack of pancakes was visible. When your order, the chef takes one of these and re heats! Floppy pancakes are the result. How LAZY! I recommend to avoid!

Checked into the hotel next door at midday and hadn't eaten yet, so we decided to give this place a chance. Food was ok, not great. Wife ordered a Chai Latte that was gritty with spices that did not mix. Took almost 40 minutes to get a breakfast sandwich, a full English, and two scones on the table. Unless you absolutely have to have English food, there might be better options for you...

One of the best English Breakfasts I've ever had and the The Bruncher is amazing. Never had a Mocha as good as theirs and the fresh juice was brilliant.

Friendly service but the quality of food is quite disappointing for the price. This place is not cheap but the food and coffee (cappuccino more like a weak latte) is.

Lovely little cafe. I stayed in the hotel opposite so ate breakfast here everyday, the kitchen and service is run by an absolutely lovely lady. The coffee was good, the pancakes were fabulous. Nothing not to like, so I never went anywhere else!

The food is just really, really good. I get delivery from this place often, the brownies, scones, and the sandwiches are just exceptional. I've brought scones to my friends on the weekends too and they all love them. As far as the sit-down experience, the staff is very nice, but it is a bit jarring that you must order and pay at the counter. The layout is more like a traditional restaurant, and so you have to make your way through the tables, etc.

So.... I actually don't know where to start. I came to this place to enjoy a brunch in a quiet and cozy environment and oh boy I did! I ordered the breakfast pancakes and I asked from them if instead of the scrambled eggs I could get them fried sunny side up and they did it happily! The woman who is the front face of this place was such a kind hearted and positive person and her smile made my day! I also tried the scone and it was freshly baked and my god that cream they served it with was delicious! At some point the guy who was working there took his break and sat at the table next to ours and we had a lovely conversation until the lady also came in and then the conversation became longer and so enjoyable. I really love it when the people who run a place are so friendly and nice! have to say that the people who run this place are a great example of how friendly and approachable people in the HORECA business should be. I left with a full stomach but also a full heart! I am very happy to say that I will definitely come back here and try more of their menu! Overall the experience was amazing and I really wish them to be well and keep thriving with this amazing energy and love for what they do! 5/5 stars for every aspect 😍 P.s. I was so excited about the food and it looked so appetizing that I didn't have the opportunity to take photos, but I will the next time 😜

Nice spot in de pijp, next to Amstel river and not crowded. Especially in the morning, you can enjoy the sun as well. I tried scones, best in town for me, and the bruncher. I liked it a lot.

Finally a place in Amsterdam with a full breakfasts and full sized lattes. The portions are large, well made, and taste great. Price is also good.

We walked in, there weren’t any customers, three employees, one employee said “you can grab a menu on the wall, then order at the counter.” IMO the employee should’ve grabbed the menu and taken our order. Food was very average and over €50. Typical tourist trap.

My partner and I came here for a breakfast. We loved that they did English breakfast and they had an assortment of sauces at the table. Great food. Great service and great coffee!

Voor ons nooit weer. Er werkten twee dames, eentje was de hele tijd druk bezig met haar telefoon en de andere maakte het eten. Je moest aan de bar bestellen, er komt dus niet iemand om je bestelling op te nemen?? De pannenkoek was voor 14 euro lauwwarm en mierzoet en er hing totaal geen sfeer. Zeker het geld niet waard.

Terrible food and greasy. Before I ordered the bruncher I showed them a picture from their Google review and asked if this is it (so with English muffin) to which they confirmed. I received a sad burger (so with buns) with a sausage in the middle, bacon and eggs. No sauce and not appealing. I told them this is not what I ordered they confirmed it is and that the photo on their review was old. They nicely offered us a coffee as compensation which I thought was good (hence the 2 stars and not one). I also had pancakes which were just cold and crumbling. Way over-priced for the quality.

This place might just have the best English breakfast in Amsterdam. Faultless and full of flavour. Black pudding was fantastic and it arrived fairly quickly after ordering online too. 100 percent worth a visit, if yiu aren't close then order through Uber eats.

Ottima breakfast in Amsterdam. La consiglio tanto perché il local è accogliente e la vasta varietà di prodotti fa venire fame.

Kommer in genom dörren till ett litet mysigt ställe, nästan som ett hål i väggen och möts av glad personal, bara där är intrycket bra. Dom ber oss ta en meny och beställa i baren. Frukosten sen blev succé! Vi beställde yoghurt med granola (äntligen ingen som snålade med det), spicy avokodomacka, omelett och scones, till det färskpressad apelsinjuice. Vi blev mätta! Rekommenderar starkt detta ställe. Kommer helt klart gå hit igen när jag besöker Amsterdam. Vi var där 9:30 en söndag och då var vi ensamma innan rushen satte igång vid ca 10:00

If you want a friendly environment to enjoy breakfast this is the place. I recommend this place to friends and coworkers and they have all enjoyed it as well. I can’t wait for my next trip so o can eat there.
