The service was very unfriendly. The dish was small, and the farmer's bread was just two simple supermarket slices. One was placed under the dish and the other was just placed on top.

The food was great and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was good, but the service wasn't very welcoming!

We love coming here! The staff is super friendly. And the food is truly delicious.

Very bad restaurant, never go back there. Just got a cancellation on my birthday dinner because they found too late that I reserved at 19:30. They said it was either me coming earlier or they have no personnel available and close kitchen at 20:00. Felt rude and bad, since it was my birthday dinner and really wanted a fondue. No, I cannot go earlier and do not want to facilitate things for lazy personnel that close at 20:00

Apparently it doesn't actually close at 10 but earlier.

Went with a group. A bit of a shame that the billing was not correct due to the chosen method. Everyone made their own note.

Absolutely unfriendly and unwelcoming staff. The whole cafe was empty but the staff insisted that we sit on table for 2.

A beautiful location for dining and celebrating. We came for a party, and there was plenty of room for about 40-50 people. It was partially fenced off, so it could probably be a bit more spacious. The food was served from their own kitchen. It was well-organized and tasted great. As a discerning Indonesian eater, I was very happy with the chicken satay and satay sauce. Well done, Chef!

The food was in line with what you would expect from a restaurant of this class. The spare ribs, especially the stir-fried ones, deserve special mention. The ambiance is neat but uninspired, as is the service. Very much against current standards, they refused to serve ice water, and the bottle of Chaudfontaine was left unopened. The bottle of wine we ordered was good, although it was poured immediately without a tasting. On the other hand, we must understand that it's difficult to find good staff these days.

The food is good and the service is fast. The atmosphere is also nice. However, I found one of the waitresses very rude. Perhaps another job would be more suitable.

This is one of the worst bars i'we been, first if all the stuff are totally unfriendly, not smily, not communicative, I would say rude when you ask the questions, they were open for a Dutch speaking customers, but for English, not, we were in a big group there( spending a lot of money ) but still we all felt like unwelcome. The food also not worth the money,. Total crap, I would never return there and not recommend to anyone!

The ladies who work there are not nice at all, they don't smile, they don't talk, they are not kind. The place is excellent, but the customer service is terrible. My advice is to change the staff so the restaurant continues to be successful with good people.

Old-fashioned brown eatery with average dishes that are reasonably prepared. The lady at the counter does not have a friendly appearance, to say the least. Actually just quite grumpy and curt. As if she doesn't really feel like it at all...

Inside it smelled a little like a combination of a broken sewer and a serious moisture / mold problem, the food was mediocre and the staff uninterested at best.

Enjoyed sitting on the terrace. Operation is nice and smooth. Pay inside now.

★☆☆☆☆ Bad experience at this pancake restaurant. The staff was unfriendly to young people and we were not all allowed to order a pancake, even though we were just customers. In addition, people who did not order anything themselves, but were with friends, had to wait outside. This felt very unfair and inhospitable. We won't be coming back here again!

The service came to the table twice and for the rest they didn't see you anymore. They were busy with other things. Until you leave they don't know how fast they have to be at your table to clear it. Even the receipt had already been punched out. In short, no place for us, we got dehydrated.

Celebrated my mother's birthday there yesterday. We had a special placemat made and were neatly laid out. But the waitress didn't even congratulate. She wasn't very bad, she wasn't really happy either. Food was very tasty. Eat there often, always nice staff. But this time it was very disappointing.

Zelden zo’n ongastvrije en klantonvriendelijkheid gelegenheid meegemaakt. Jullie zijn te laat! Zo werden we verwelkomt. Personeel is zo onaardig. Je voelt je totaal niet welkom. Het is koud en het tocht. Dat is bekend en we kunnen er niets aan doen was het commentaar. Het is eigenlijk een pretentieloze gelegenheid die niet de moeite neemt om zich te verdiepen in gastvrijheid. Ook al is het eten nog zo goed (wat in dit geval zeker niet aan de orde was). Standaard grand café kaart. Kokende olie met veel knoflook en taaie garnalen. Hoe zou dat nu kunnen. Aangebrande bittere bruine drap wat saté saus moet voorstellen. Als je dan ook nog Slagroom uit een spuitbus durft te serveren moet je jezelf de vraag gaan stellen of je zelf ook zou willen eten

A wonderful place with welcoming staff always eager to help and delicious food. Escape romms very well done and with talented actors. My daughter birthday party was a total success. Thank you Du Monde for all your efforts.

This is in the former Spa Romana where i had many happy beauty experiences. This was a large farewell dinner including all ages. The food was just so so and around $50 per person. Parking is a challenge as the area in front is very small. Our kind driver had quite a walk in the rain.

I ate here again and the food was delicious! Chicken/prawn salad last time was great. Now one of the tastiest burgers ever eaten with bacon and cheese. Top!

Had a less pleasant experience with someone from the service. A misunderstanding about an extra portion of fries was handled unprofessionally. The food was generally good (delicious tiramisu and large prawns, tasty fries, crispy tasty vegetables), only the tenderloin skewers were over-salted.

It's a nice place for burgers and drinks. The prices are a little bit on the high end. For a 200ml coca cola zero, I think 3.25€ is high for me. The burger tasted good. The fries to the burger had a nice seasoning, and the ketchup and mayo had a good amount. Some staff members were more friendly than others. In the beginning, we waited quiet a while for the waitress to order.

Man man man, what a service. You have to walk in yourself to order. Walking around very grumpy. Do they look at you with a look of "what are you doing"? Not customer friendly at all! Food is fine, good portions!

Good restaurant. Tasty food, large portions. The tenderloin (250 gr!) is highly recommended. The spareribs are also nice and tender. Good service and very attentive.

While the open hours are until 22:00 at 20:00 they just told us that they are closing 🤷‍♂️

After visiting Museum Jan, we enjoyed lunch with friends in this well-staffed restaurant/bar, which provided us all with a wonderful stay and a nice end to our Whit Monday outing. Top!

Onvriendelijk personeel. Met twee woorden spreken is teveel gevraagd. Je wordt weg gekeken van je tafeltje vanwege reserveringen in de avond. Om 16.30 uur hebben ze liever niemand meer op het buitenterras voor een drankje.

Very unfortunate. I liked coming there, but from now on never again. What a rude staff. My mother-in-law (84 years old) only asked for the menu after 10 minutes, without any action, and received an immediate response. Once she received the menu, she was told again that the staff will only come when they have time. Shameless!

Zero hospitality (below happened several times…)👎🏻 We went to restaurant for Valentins Day. We sent an e-mail for a table next to window and we received a reservation confirmation e-mail. When we arrived we have been sent to a table next to kitchen which is under smoke. And the unrespectful point is the table we requested for us was empty… They decided without any reason not to give us. Your clothes get terrible smell in the inner part of the restaurant with almost zero light…

Du Monde is the restaurant for my girlfriend and myself, great service and, above all, delicious food.

They have Beyond burgers here. There are no better vegetarian burgers. There is a very friendly atmosphere. Cozy tent!

Delicious and good food at a reasonable price. - Du Monde has the tastiest spareribs! also enough of everything. Unfortunately not all staff are nice! sometimes even very unkind and inappropriate - That's a shame.

The food was horrible.. my son ordered a burger, the bun was cold, the fries were hard. My daughter ordered chicken satay and it was undercooked and sweet. I ordered chilli chicken salad and that was sweat!! We were so disappointed with the food that we felt there wasn’t any point in making a complain as well, since everything was horrible. The only things nice were the beer and the water..

We have been coming here for years. The food is good quality, however the prices have increased so much. This evening we ordered 2 bottles of wine, 4 beers and a sprite, 9 main meals and 4 starters and were refused more than 4 glasses of tap water. Absolutely ridiculous, considering what we ordered. Due to this they missed out on us ordering deserts and coffees! Not a very smart business decision!

Had lunch here for the first time and my wife and I selected the " Noons" ( 12 uurtjes) fish and meat from the menu. Both where very good . Good portions,fresh ingredients, well prepared and tasty. The onion soup came without gratinated bread on top which was a pity. In general i found the service acceptable but not really friendly. The staff did not really engage with the guests, more robotic and going through the motions rather than guest focused. Found the restaurant in general a bit dark. Would i return? For the food yes but service needs to change. Wheelchair accesibility is ok but there is a doorstep that requires some efford to get over.

Very unfriendly, expensive & the staff completely ignore ignore you. Do not come here.

Nice restaurant. Varied menu card. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, Du Monde is a nice place to have a drink or eat.

Because we already knew that this is a very nice restaurant, we decided to have the reception and dinner here for our wedding. First of all, the contact with Jacqueline is very pleasant, she is easy to reach by telephone, she thinks along with you on everything, including your theme. She is a hardworking woman who wants to get the best out of your party, no question is too much or too crazy. Location is perfectly located, opposite the Amstelveen town hall. It is tastefully decorated, you have a separate room in the restaurant, which is ideal for rest before your party and for the restaurant guests. We did a photo shoot between the reception and dinner, so Jacqueline converted the room into a dining room with a completely different look/style, so she experiences a different experience. After dinner, we moved on to another location for our party. Time of departure discussed and taken into account. We were very on time; food was taken and served quickly. I am a very slow eater, but I was able to eat my food at rest. In short: only positive words, your wishes are listened to carefully, nice staff, delicious food, attractive location and above your expectations. Had a very nice wedding! Thank you Du Monde and especially Jacqueline! :)

You have to know to go there. lost in a magnificent alley/pedestrian area, the restaurant offers a lot of choice, everything is fresh, and delicious in more than reasonable portions. Excellent value for money! we will return there for sure!

Been here a few times now for coffee. Coffee is good, service not fast but otherwise fine. There are quite a few tables, but the atmosphere is lacking. Maybe it's better in the evening.

Just a stopover in this restaurant after 1 walk around De Poel. The Apple Pie with whipped cream is beautifully prepared and......tastes really delicious. Made with thin slices of apple with a hint of cinnamon, really delicious. Together with a hot chocolate a tasty treat 😊.

Now DuMonde, lunch done. Meatlovers, two slices of baguette with roast beef points, very good. Also a perfect light meal for dinner. DuMonde (Grand café), Excellent food, top service.

Great place to eat. We were with a large group and it went well. They don't know much about gluten allergies, so it became a bit of a gamble

We arrived at 12, were immediately seated at a table in the corner, and got service very quickly. The dark chocolate latte macchiato is absolutely to die for. And it's available in oatmilk instead of cowmilk, which is fantastic. Next I had the "Kannibaal uitsmijter" which translates as "Eggs a la Cannibal". In this case (fortunately) this means 3 eggs, sunny side up, with roast beef and ham. The option of glutenfree and lactose free bread was there, so I took it. I didn't have to compromise any of my food intolerances or allergies. The bread was delicious, and very crunchy. We also chose to have a bottle of water to share between two people. By the end of the meal we were both very full. The staff is wonderful and very friendly and the atmosphere is what the Dutch call "gezellig" and there just isn't any good English word for it, the music is varied, I even heard Pavarotti! We'll be coming back some time with our dogs, as they are also welcome in this fine establishment, both inside and on the terrace.

I was pleasantly surprised when I was served the burger I ordered. The meat was absolutely delicious, fried to perfection, crisp and juicy, with side dishes and fries. The entire portion is large, but edible... Other than that, I got what I wanted for the money. Good beer from a stick, friendly service. I recommend
