Best Argentinian in Amstelveen. 💓

It was a unique experience... we had a reservation at 7:00 PM, waited an hour and a half for the appetizer, and then an hour and a half later, finally, the main course. Three dishes were good, but one piece of meat was shoe-sole-sized. The baked potatoes were cold. Finally, the staff admitted we were in the "forgotten" corner. They did replace the bad piece of meat with another, even though they said it wasn't necessary because the rest was already ready. There was time to order drinks. We eventually received a drink on the house, but we didn't order dessert, for fear of having to stay overnight.

A wide selection of various meat dishes. The meat is deliciously tender and well-prepared. The Argentinian beer is also delicious. The service could be a bit more cheerful. The man who served us was a bit grumpy. Despite that, we still left a tip. ------ We ate here again on Saturday. The meat was perfect again. However, the service was young, inexperienced, and unprofessional. The man did his best, but okay... the restaurant was a freezer. There was a small electric heater, but it didn't help. It was truly awful. I also noticed that the restaurant is poorly maintained. The restrooms are appalling. Dirty and dilapidated. This is NOT how you welcome your guests. Disgraceful!!!!!!! - 2 stars

I had a modified starter: stuffed tomato with tuna salad. It was delicious. The fried salmon was delicious. It was just a shame there was only one prawn, which was also quite tough. The dessert was a cheesecake. It was delicious. The men's room smelled. I couldn't dry my hands on anything after washing them. The staff was very friendly.

The food is perfect, a wonderfully tender piece of tenderloin. The giant prawns were also delicious. The furniture is a bit dated, the atmosphere too quiet, but the service was excellent.

Everything is old and it smells like that when you enter...it could use some renovation first.

A nice family restaurant with Argentine cuisine. The main dishes are steaks and pork ribs. There is a salad bar. For dessert - mainly ice cream. Subdued lighting; cow hides on benches at wooden tables; Latin American music... a romantic place that is suitable for both couples in love and for a family or business dinner. The restaurant is very popular on Fridays and Saturdays, so it is better to book a table in advance. The only thing is that now in the cold season the restaurant is not hot, it is better to dress warmly.

The salad was full of flies, and they didn't have anything for kids. I found a few flies in the food, and they didn't do anything about it. Don't eat salad; you'll get diarrhea, just like me. The food was absolutely disgusting, and the restaurant was incredibly disgusting. The restrooms were never cleaned or maintained; the bathroom doors wouldn't even close.

From the outside and inside, this restaurant has clearly seen better days. But, the food is still excellent.

Apparently there was only one person in the kitchen cooking for more than 20 table 1 hour and a half waiting for the food, I even thought about ordering dessert but it would be out the next day.

Actually not worth a star! What a mockery! We sat there with our coats on, so cold. Were the only ones in the restaurant at 7pm. No feeling of welcome. We left without ordering anything at all.

Food was fine, service was a young boy who really did his best but still has a lot to learn. Hadn't been there for years, but the interior could use some renovation. The lady was also nice by the way.

Dated restaurant. Faded glory with cowhide benches that are in serious need of renovation. Tip: take cassis, which comes from a bottle and contains injection. The cola comes from a tank and is carbonless.

The food itself was tasty, but the service was slow and substandard. We were only told when dinner was served that we could also go to the salad bar, and after dessert it took us a long time to get attention for a cup of coffee, even though it was very quiet. Finally I walked to the bar myself.

The food is very good that is why we have been there several times. The restaurant itself has a real Argentinian appearance and has a view over a pond/nature reserve at the rear, so when you sit there it is a nice relaxing meal.

Excellent steak for a reasonable price. Just a pity that the chairs and sofas are not very comfortable.

We were looking for food late at night an nothing was open. We stumbled upon this place by chance and just happened to have the best ribs of our lives. As a citizen of the States, I’ve had good BBQ, and this is hands down the best ribs I’ve ever had.

We always have a delicious meal there. And the staff is very friendly and polite. Worth repeating.

I sat down at 5:45 PM, the starter was delivered at 6:15 PM, ordered normally at 6:30 PM, in the meantime the staff dropped many glasses, people were shouting for plates and many left. Finally got food at 8:00 PM and dessert at 8:30 PM, unwashed cutlery and glasses, but the food was fine.

Delicious food, good service, lovely people, but the decor is dated. If you come for the quality of the food and the good service and can see past the datedness, then definitely eat here.

The tenderloin was mediocre. Probably no heating on due to energy costs, eating with your coat on is not exactly pleasant

I gave it a month to cool down, before getting to this review. So we went 2 times to this place, and it was our start for our love for Argentinian food, I would say. But.... We had a reservation for 20:00 for 2 persons, we came around 19:55, been asked to sit on the bar and wait for the table to be free. Around 20:05 another couple came in, they have been told - please wait, there is other people waiting. All good till now? Yes, almost. That couple approached a different waitress, and she gave them a table that just got free. When I told her - hey, miss, I was here for already 15 minutes... Guess what? they still got the table, without any "we are sorry", we had to wait extra 5 minutes for next table. Service = 0 About the food, as mentioned - our second time to dine it, and we ordered a delivery one time. It used to be much better 2-3 years ago. Food = 2 The atmosphere is darkish, kind of nice... The toilets.... reminds me of ex. Soviet Union countries Atmosphere = 1 Never again in this place. It kind of ruined the Valentine's Day...

We had a very nice meal here. It was Valentine's Day, very busy. We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. Normally the waiting time is less. The interior has remained virtually unchanged for decades. That shows. old-fashioned or atmospheric, that's up to you.

Good Authentic restaurant with clear number in the menu. The dishes are super prepare, the portion decent and the price very fair. The waiters in the restaurant are friendly & speedy.

What just happened?! It was always our favorite restaurant, but it looked defeated, not recognizable as we are used to! Most of the staff/servers no longer work there. The kitchen staff are also new and we heard a whole argument in the kitchen that day which was quite loud! We were recently there with a group, and one of our friends ordered a cutlet, but it was medium instead of well done. For dessert we ordered ice cream, and then one of our friends had a long hair in the ice cream, and then the waitress quickly removed it with a smile. We feel sorry for the owners because they are very nice people, such a shame that things seem to be deteriorating. Hopefully the cozy, nice atmosphere with good fresh food will return as we are used to from them.

The interior could be improved. when you enter it feels like you travel back in time. the design the smell and the feel of the restaurant is very 1990's. this is why I am taking one star. food however is great I had the garlic ribs and they were very delicious some would say too much garlic but I would say it's never too much hahahaha. The staff is friendly and polite I think it's family owned.

Well, the name here is Program. There is meat. And that's certainly nice. The side dishes were a bit poor, but the starter was very tasty. The name program also applies to the staff. You should be patient. They're not in a hurry. But that doesn't always have to be the case with a fine dinner.

The vibe is good but the food is oily and drink is of poor quality. They need to reconsider the quality and taste of the food they offer .

Greatest Argentinian steak in the Netherlands!

I had been looking forward to eating here again for a long time, unfortunately it was no longer what I was used to from this restaurant. The salmon was really dirty and the spareribs were edible but certainly not special. In short a huge disappointment as this used to be one of my favorite restaurants

Excellent quality and service for a reasonable price

The meat is of very good quality and that is partly what you go to the Argentinian for. The fries are fine (although the portion is a bit small), and I haven't even tried the salad buffet. The desserts were disappointing. The profiteroles were old and not tasty. But it is certainly a good place to eat tasty meat

bad restaurant, had bought 2 beers and 2 wine and meals without salad, but when we went to pay they had added 3 beers, 3 wine and 3 extra salad to our bill. we had to wait 45 minutes until someone came to ask if we wanted something to eat and the food wasn't great either. guess what their excuse was? it's very crowded. (was not it)

What a great place, delicious meat, cozy cozy booths, American style. Fish is also possible, but I don't go to the Argentinian for that. Drinks are not expensive and they are all fine. From the outside you don't think it looks that nice, but inside there is a warm atmosphere.

The food was good. Friendly service. Only the benches may have new upholstery and be padded. They don't fit well.

What you expect from an Argentinian restaurant: lots of meat. Meat of a quality that I did not have the tendency to want to supplement the taste with one of the included sauces. Definitely worth a visit.

Waited 10 minutes in the door to someone to sit us (with a prior reservation). Waited another 20 tonorder drinks! No Covid distances or measures followed. On top of that food was completely tasteless... Not recommended at all

We ordered a grill dish for 3 people for €29.95. They come with a warming tray and the meat stacked 5 rows thick. It didn't look like much and you had to try very hard not to let everything fall off. Meat itself wasn't bad. The furnishings are very outdated and the carpet is simply filthy. Not recommended.

The style of the restaurant is very old fashioned. Sofas are not comfortable. On a Friday evening there were only 2 other tables. However, the meat was delicious and well prepared and done. If you are looking for a good piece of meat quickly, it is highly recommended. Would you like to have a nice, quiet dinner, a little less?

This restaurant is one of my life favourites. I grew up in Amstelveen and my family would always come here for special occasions; birthdays, graduations, anniversaries. This business is run by a wonderful family, who are incredibly welcoming and give great customer service. We moved to England and the family still recognised us when we returned! We now live in the USA, but when we come back to visit the Netherlands, we will always make a stop to visit Fierro. The ambiance is amazing, the food is even better, and the customer service is wonderful. Bedankt voor de fantastische herinneringen.

Reasonable food but very poor service, they just make you wait before they take your order, the dirty plates are left in front of you, the bill was incorrect, so not OK!

cozy Argentinian restaurant where you can sit comfortably and eat delicious food. yesterday with 5 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 6. Everyone had a delicious meal and the little ones got ice cream with a sparkler from the company. Salad bar is always crisp and fresh. Staff friendly. good service. We have been coming here for many years but we continue to love it

It was the worst food and they are cons. We ordered meat dishes and extra vegetables. The veggies were old, limp and uneatable. The waiter said we could grab anything from the salad bar, but did not mention he would charge us later almost €7 per person for this “salad”. The salad was canned corn, canned olives, lettuce, hard boiled eggs and Something that looked and tasted like sour Coleslaw. The not homemade guacamole with counted 10 chips was €6,50. They asked us if we wanted mayonnaise but we saw on the menu they would charge us extra for this. The meat was not good and very tasteless. Within 30min we went home, feeling sick and payed €50,- for uneatable food. Don’t go here.

Arrived a little later yesterday. But we were able to eat at our leisure. And that's what we did... Delicious dishes and very friendly staff. Recommended.

Order was taken quickly at 7pm, then waited 1.5 hours for the dish. Then waited another 1.5 hours for main course, but always came for drinks. 3 times meat was good T bone was really bad I didn't eat it. Sat for 2 courses for a total of 4 hours. Wasn't good.

It was the worst experience ever.
