Cozy atmosphere, attentive staff

It was busy and I was worried for a moment if everything would turn out well. Completely unnecessarily, because the staff has everything under control and you get the attention you deserve. A nice, relaxed dinner out.

The food was delicious! The terrace was wonderful – the interior was just okay, as it was a bit dark. Nevertheless, highly recommended!

Had a tasty meal, good fast service. Pleasantly busy 👍 only there was an apple pie on the bill that we hadn't ordered, but I only realized that when I got home.

We had a delicious meal on the atmospheric terrace. This restaurant offers the right value for money and has friendly staff. Highly recommended and definitely worth a return visit.

It’s a nice place overall. It’s the nearest establishment to the campsite we were staying at that’s open in the evenings. We’ve been there every night for four nights. For the first three nights, we just had drinks. They accommodated us but clearly thought it was unusual. Fair enough. Service was fair. Tonight (Wednesday) we went there for food. After we were seated, after 20 minutes we had to forcefully ask a passing waiter if they would take our order. Twenty minutes sitting there with a menu and no drink is a LONG time. Ordered the special. Not available. Okay. It happens. Ordered alternatives. Had to actively harass a waiter to ask for a dessert menu to order. Food was lovely, mains and dessert, when we had them. Then my husband ordered another drink. Twenty minutes passed and no sign. I went into the bar to ask for it. It’s a weird set-up where they start packing down the seating from 20:00 and most of the staff seem to be engaged in closing umbrellas and moving unused chairs to storage rather than serving customers. We had a waiter close an umbrella over our heads this evening and even though he promised it would be fine, my husband had to duck out of the way and we had to move our table (covered in food and drink) to enable him to close the umbrella. Bizarre experience all around. Earlier in the week we encountered helpful friendly staff but tonight they were clearly struggling. Leaving the area tomorrow but wouldn’t return for food due to disorganised and stressful service.

Popped in unannounced and were able to sit outside. The atmosphere was great. Really good service too. And food was absolutely rocking. The steak and sate was to die for with a perfect medium cooked steak skewer. Spare ribs were great too! Highly recommended!

Great, and what's better is, I enjoyed a delicious lunch. I chose the meal salad with Asian meat. Lovely relaxed atmosphere.

After a concert in the Amsterdamse Bos, we decided to go to Silversant for a drink and bitterballen. Given the time, this was no longer possible, so we decided to have dinner here instead. And it was delicious, and more than enough! No measly little bowls of fries where you look at each other to see who takes the last one, but large platters and plenty of mayonnaise. The service was prompt, up to and including the main course. After that, unfortunately, the pace slowed down considerably, and we had to call ahead ourselves to have our dessert orders taken. I found the restrooms a bit messy. We will definitely come back here again; 5 stars are achievable!

Had chicken satay. It was delicious. Busy but quick service. Ate there again last week. Lunch now. Croquette sandwiches. It was delicious.

Placed next to the church, location wise it is nice. There is available parking behind the restaurant as well street parking. However the food was average, and we waited a long time to be served. Service can be much better and friendly. Outside area was very crowded and noisy, lots of people smoke so that is not nice either. Inside of the restaurant is nice but quite dark. Prices are ok comparing to other places in Amsterdam area.

Simply good in a word, and a nice location

Nice food and setting spoiled by the rude tall waiter. When I asked for tap water to go with my main meal, he said "after you order some drinks". You can afford to be kinder. You can also deliver the same message in a nicer way. Or is politeness only reserved for local customers?

Always good and tasty. I eat there very often. Good place for a quick and good meal. You can't make reservations, but the wait is never long. Good place.

Plenty of staff, but tables remained full of dirty plates for a long time! Despite the 30-degree heat outside. Staff only took one glass inside at a time. The steak was tasteless; we had to call several times to ask if we could have another drink! The terrace was full, but not overflowing. All in all, not worth repeating.

We stayed at the campsite for five days. And we found this restaurant. It was great. We went there twice, each time without a reservation. They still let us eat there. And it was worth it because the food was incredibly delicious.

Excellent food in a really nice setting

Great ribs, beers and burgers. And it has a traditional Dutch brown bar atmosphere. Most of the staff are wonderful.

We both had beef tenderloin satay; it wasn't warm and was way overcooked, and water was seeping out of the meat into the satay sauce. A shame. The wait staff was very indifferent, not a smile to be seen. It has to be done.

Waited a very long time for the food. Salad with the steak was bad, salad completely soggy, filed a complaint, removed from the bill.

Up to the usual McDonald's UK standard of cleanliness, as in a bit grim. Take your own antiseptic wipes for the table. Coffee tasted fine.

Good food, service a bit pushy!

I've been dropping by here occasionally for years. It's a fine place, as long as your expectations aren't too high. The quality isn't always consistent, but it remains an accessible location for a casual bite.

We had ordered bread with herb butter, and then satay with fries; we received it almost at the same time, the satay was still raw, we both felt sick. People came in asking if there was a table free, then they said, no, you're out of luck, then more people who wanted to sit somewhere and someone shouted a very loud "No", really such an arrogant little man was walking around, there was no friendliness at all. What a difference from the old days! Such a shame.

Beautiful large terrace, we were served quickly. Tasty cappuccino and afterwards we ate 2 delicious, generously filled salads, Thai beef (really a lot of beef) and goat cheese. Both highly recommended.

Great food. The salad was big enough to qualify as a main rather than a starter with so much delicious chicken. And the sate was also delicious.

Food was not that tasty and not warm enough

I've been several times, both for lunch and dinner. It remains a top-notch spot! The sandwiches are fantastic (the meatball sandwich is THE BEST), the satay is delicious, as is the sole. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff!

Sometimes you have to wait a bit to order. But it's a cozy and pleasant location with delicious food.

Good menu, delicious food, friendly staff, but two drawbacks: - hardly any vegan options - the acoustics are poor. For those with hearing impairment, there's no quieter seating. This makes conversation almost impossible. A separate corner without other tables and without loudspeakers/music would be a big help.

Busy, noisy, and very old-fashioned. The same old thing might appeal to some, but not to me. Parking is practically impossible because there's far too little space.

The staff was fast and friendly. The food was okay, not great, but good. The prices are low, so maybe that's related.

Four of us were here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We received a warm welcome and were given a lovely table by the window in the extension. It's a bit of a step for my mother with her walker, but perfectly manageable. Despite the crowds, our orders were delivered quickly, and the staff paid plenty of attention to all the tables. We all had something different and were very satisfied. My "uitsmijter" (ham and cheese sandwich) was delicious. We came here to see if it was suitable for a party. It certainly is, and we've now made plans to celebrate with a group. A real bonus is that they're very dog-friendly. TOP!

The coffee (Smit & Dorlas, which wasn't the problem) was a bit sour, not really good, so we just had one. We ordered an espresso macchiato, but that wasn't it either, too much milk. It's a shame.

A great place to relax after a busy day (funeral) and end the day with drinks and a tasty snack. I had quite a few specific requests, but they were perfectly understood and honored. Five stars and top-notch!

We had a delicious meal for two. The service was friendly and fast. Our dishes were on the table within fifteen minutes. I had a Wiener schnitzel. It was delicious with fried onions and mushrooms, and came with some salad and fries. The atmosphere is friendly, you don't need a reservation (at least not during the week), and parking is free. A great place for a bite to eat!

What a wonderful evening I had at this restaurant! The dishes were refined and full of flavor. The carpaccio appetizer was light and perfectly seasoned. The main course, a piece of salmon with lemon butter, was tender and juicy. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed. The wines perfectly complemented the menu. The dessert, a homemade cheesecake, was the perfect ending. I felt truly pampered here. A top-notch restaurant that I recommend without hesitation.

A cozy, old-fashioned restaurant with delicious dishes on the menu and reasonable prices. The 300g ribeye I had was delicious, and the sole were also wonderful.

This is a great place to enjoy local Dutch cuisine and alcohol. The atmosphere is great and lively, but I think it's a great restaurant.

Nice atmosphere. The food was quite good. We came to eat. We had to wait a bit, and they said 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, I asked again, and they told me it could be another half hour, and they didn't acknowledge that they'd forgotten me... That's when you get one star.

The table is much too low compared to the chairs, resulting in a sore back. Recommend raising the table leg.

What a pleasant surprise this café was. The staff were friendly and immediately made me feel welcome. The coffee was excellent, and the homemade cake was delicious. The decor was modern yet warm, with great attention to detail. There was a relaxed atmosphere where you could chat or work in peace. The service was fast but not rushed. The background music was just right—present but never intrusive. The tables were well-spaced, which was nice. The prices were reasonable, and the quality was high. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Our second year in a row dining at Silverstand in Amstelveen, and it’s absolutely amazing! The food is fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel truly welcome. The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant — perfect for any occasion. Consistently excellent quality and service. Highly recommended!

Just a traditional, cozy cafe frequented by locals. We were there with a group of eight, and the separate meals were fantastic, and especially plentiful. Luckily, you can take leftovers home. Unfortunately, the steak wasn't fantastic, although cooked well, but the quality of the steak itself simply wasn't great. So, I'll go back to Loetje for the steak next time. But the atmosphere and service were good 👍🏻

We're on a suggestion as we are visiting. Looks fantastic. Quick word, better and cheaper than UK. Told it's on the border of the forest. Nice location. Customers are more polite? Anyway, the steak was just how it should be, thick & juicy. Red in the middle. Do love the salad. Coffee, chesse cake, wow. Go 5 stars. We loved it.

This is a cafe where you shouldn't have high expectations. The quality of the food and service is adequate. The ambiance is a bit old-fashioned, but that also adds to the atmosphere.

We celebrated two birthdays yesterday with 15 guests. Everything was perfect, delicious, and all the guests received their food at the same time. Noa, a lovely guy who served us, made us very happy! Silversant is a wonderfully cozy place where you can enjoy a meal, drinks, and more.

It was truly disappointing. We ordered spareribs, and they arrived within a minute. It couldn't have been made that quickly. The flavor was also disappointing; there were a lot of splinters in the meat. My salad was dried out, as if it had been sitting around waiting for a while before being served. The dessert was delicious; there's nothing wrong with it. It was a shame about the half-cookie on top. It was very clear that only one cookie had been used for each of us. The staff was quick to serve.

Good service, tasty food and certainly not expensive!
