The coffee (Smit & Dorlas, which wasn't the problem) was a bit sour, not really good, so we just had one. We ordered an espresso macchiato, but that wasn't it either, too much milk. It's a shame.

We had a delicious meal for two. The service was friendly and fast. Our dishes were on the table within fifteen minutes. I had a Wiener schnitzel. It was delicious with fried onions and mushrooms, and came with some salad and fries. The atmosphere is friendly, you don't need a reservation (at least not during the week), and parking is free. A great place for a bite to eat!

What a wonderful evening I had at this restaurant! The dishes were refined and full of flavor. The carpaccio appetizer was light and perfectly seasoned. The main course, a piece of salmon with lemon butter, was tender and juicy. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed. The wines perfectly complemented the menu. The dessert, a homemade cheesecake, was the perfect ending. I felt truly pampered here. A top-notch restaurant that I recommend without hesitation.

A cozy, old-fashioned restaurant with delicious dishes on the menu and reasonable prices. The 300g ribeye I had was delicious, and the sole were also wonderful.

This is a great place to enjoy local Dutch cuisine and alcohol. The atmosphere is great and lively, but I think it's a great restaurant.

Nice atmosphere. The food was quite good. We came to eat. We had to wait a bit, and they said 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, I asked again, and they told me it could be another half hour, and they didn't acknowledge that they'd forgotten me... That's when you get one star.

The table is much too low compared to the chairs, resulting in a sore back. Recommend raising the table leg.

What a pleasant surprise this café was. The staff were friendly and immediately made me feel welcome. The coffee was excellent, and the homemade cake was delicious. The decor was modern yet warm, with great attention to detail. There was a relaxed atmosphere where you could chat or work in peace. The service was fast but not rushed. The background music was just right—present but never intrusive. The tables were well-spaced, which was nice. The prices were reasonable, and the quality was high. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Our second year in a row dining at Silverstand in Amstelveen, and it’s absolutely amazing! The food is fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel truly welcome. The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant — perfect for any occasion. Consistently excellent quality and service. Highly recommended!

Just a traditional, cozy cafe frequented by locals. We were there with a group of eight, and the separate meals were fantastic, and especially plentiful. Luckily, you can take leftovers home. Unfortunately, the steak wasn't fantastic, although cooked well, but the quality of the steak itself simply wasn't great. So, I'll go back to Loetje for the steak next time. But the atmosphere and service were good 👍🏻

We're on a suggestion as we are visiting. Looks fantastic. Quick word, better and cheaper than UK. Told it's on the border of the forest. Nice location. Customers are more polite? Anyway, the steak was just how it should be, thick & juicy. Red in the middle. Do love the salad. Coffee, chesse cake, wow. Go 5 stars. We loved it.

This is a cafe where you shouldn't have high expectations. The quality of the food and service is adequate. The ambiance is a bit old-fashioned, but that also adds to the atmosphere.

We celebrated two birthdays yesterday with 15 guests. Everything was perfect, delicious, and all the guests received their food at the same time. Noa, a lovely guy who served us, made us very happy! Silversant is a wonderfully cozy place where you can enjoy a meal, drinks, and more.

It was truly disappointing. We ordered spareribs, and they arrived within a minute. It couldn't have been made that quickly. The flavor was also disappointing; there were a lot of splinters in the meat. My salad was dried out, as if it had been sitting around waiting for a while before being served. The dessert was delicious; there's nothing wrong with it. It was a shame about the half-cookie on top. It was very clear that only one cookie had been used for each of us. The staff was quick to serve.

Good service, tasty food and certainly not expensive!

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly even if they took a while to serve us, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated, which made the experience even better. Plus, they had candy at the entrance.

Cozy terrace, good service and the food is also excellent and well priced

We've been to Silversant four times this summer and have never been disappointed with the food. However, we are very disappointed with the service offered to foreigners. There's a clear difference in treatment between regulars and people who aren't from here. We're French, and the waiters sometimes ignored us for over an hour. I understand that it's important to focus on satisfying regulars, but we pay the same price as everyone else, and therefore, we expect the same quality of service.

Had a great lunch & large portions were also nice

The staff was absolutely unfriendly when we were paying! We were sitting with four other women and heard them saying, "We still have to go to those women to get them to pay." That's absolutely no way to treat customers! It was incredibly disrespectful! After we confronted them, they said it wasn't their intention. What do you mean, "not their intention?" They didn't even apologize. Once again, incredibly disrespectful!

Always great to eat there! I recommend the warm chicken salad.

Delicious sandwich, always fresh and good. Service is always friendly. For me, it's only interesting when the weather is nice, great patio.

Poor service; a waiter in flip-flops and a sweaty shirt was sighing on the patio. The ham sandwich was just cheaply fried shoulder ham... it was floating. Tourists were sitting in the middle of the patio smoking a joint... Almost tasted like a banana split. Sadly, no more Zilversand for me!

Never, ever again. What a terrible place. As a chef's wife, I visit a lot of restaurants, but I've rarely experienced such terrible service. We arrived with a group after work and had made reservations in advance. To our surprise, we were placed at two high tables that were more than a meter apart and immovable. We also had to wait a very long time for our drinks to be served, which happened every time. Clearing the empty glasses and bottles also took a very long time. We ordered a few cocktails, and when a colleague of mine asked the bartender if she could make something nice for us, she received a very rude response: "What do you call nice?" That wasn't the only rude comment directed at us. It's such a shame that my colleague's departure went this way.

I personally found the service and staff to be subpar. We had to wait a very long time for the waiter to take our order, and the delivery itself was also a bit lacking. The food was fantastic, very tasty, and definitely worth coming back!

No more Silversant for me for a while. Dry satay from the deep fryer (I asked for it to be medium-fried). It's a shame the quality is declining so much.

Lovely place, portions are really big.

The piri-piri prawns were on the tough side. Not spicy, and there was a bit of garlic with three large chunks of bread. The tenderloin satay was tough and lacked flavor. A few drops of satay sauce, a mountain of prawn crackers, and lots of lettuce. The beer was good, and the service was quick. I won't be back.

A really good restaurant with a real, genuine feel. Generous portions, walking distance from the campsite. But book a table. The place is popular with locals.

The food is always good and a lot! You can't make a reservation but the staff always makes sure there is a place. At most you have to wait at the bar. But you are not forgotten. The atmosphere is always good too!

Ordered a hamburger. The meat was cold. The bun looked like rusk. I did get another one but no apologies. I was asked once for a drink. After eating I waited 20 minutes to see if someone would come for an extra drink. It didn't come. So I just had to pay the bill. The service was very poor. Your food and drinks were almost thrown on the table. They had more eye for friends and regular guests. I will never go there again

Tonight we sat on the outside terrace with nice weather. Service was great, the salad with tenderloin tips is good. However, the pork tenderloin satay is fried much too dry. Unfortunately, the above is mentioned more in reviews. Chef, isn't it time to pay more attention to this!. It can't be that difficult and why is the satay fried? Probably nice and easy. Price quality is of course not in balance.

I have been visiting this café for 8 years and they still can't find the toilets. A typical, brown café with a cozy, relaxed atmosphere; both in the afternoon during lunch/dinner or at the bar late on (Friday) evening. The café has something old-fashioned and that makes it very cozy and snug. Definitely recommended for a few drinks or a get-together with friends. I have only eaten there a few times, and in my opinion that was value for money based on the (Amstelveen) prices.

I had a fantastic meal at Silversant Restaurant! I ordered the molten goat cheese with bread and honey — it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the dish was beautifully presented. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

I am so glad to experience a more traditional Dutch restaurant. The staff was energetic and very accommodating. I had to request to move from outdoor to indoor seating because it got quite chilly in the evening. It was no problem. The food portion is generous and they are very tasty.

My uncle turned 80 and had a party at Silversand. Everything was well organized. Top party. Thanks guys behind the bar. Top. And now another party, my niece turned 50. Was again well organized. Delicious snacks and guys behind the bar were again top. Had a nice evening

There’s this cool, popular old restaurant right by the old church in Amstelveen and next to a lovely forest. It’s got a huge outdoor area and a big, split-up indoor space too. This time, me and my friends just had cake and coffee, but we’re already planning to come back and try their tempting food. I really liked the name — “Silver Sand” 😍.

Bad service, terrace a quarter full and we waited more than 25 minutes for our drink, which never arrived because we left.

At Silversant you can enjoy a drink on the terrace but this time we ate inside. I had the eel with toast as a starter where I got plenty of eel and plenty of toast and some salad. At Silversant you should actually eat satay and they also have a wide choice here. It tasted delicious and the price-quality ratio is more than fine. Friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely come back here!

A pleasant PUB where you can eat deliciously and drink not only beer, but also a delicious cappuccino with goodies. Pleasant atmosphere in a quiet, secluded corner of Amstelveen. We had a great time and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the kitchen was not having its best evening. The sole were tasteless, still raw and did not come off the bone, which was a real shame. It would be passed on. No apologies and nothing more was heard about it. The vegetarian satay was on the dry side and the dessert was also disappointing — the sugar layer on the crème brûlée was not caramelized, but remained loose brown sugar. Too bad, because I know it is normally better here.

After 20 years we ate at Silversant again. (on 12-05-'25 around 4 pm) Partly black pork satay from the fryer (the employee said later on the phone), very dry meat with a "distinct" taste. So I called back in the evening to find out whether it was actually normal to serve such meat. The answer was clear: "I should have sent it back to the kitchen myself, I can't do anything about it anymore and I'm busy." Apparently the chef at Silversant thinks it's fine to serve such black meat. Well... and you pay money for that. Judge for yourself based on the photo whether this is the food you would like to see on your plate when you think you are going to have a nice meal.

Spontaneously went out for dinner with 2 of our kids. Lovely sunny weather, we were first shown to a part of the terrace to wait for a place to eat while enjoying a drink. After 10 minutes we were pointed to a spot in the sun. After the starter it became too chilly in the shade for us. And we enjoyed our delicious satay.

Operation 'on autopilot' but not really unfriendly. Beef tenderloin satay was excellent. Tender meat, excellent satay sauce and nice fresh salad. Fries, on the other hand, are limp and not well done. Minus. Ice cream with strawberries rather unimaginative. Vanilla ice cream with a few strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream. Assembly line work, made without much attention and love.

Location is nice, on the edge of the forest. The food is fine, but the service is not friendly. Impatient, unkind, just barely threw the bill on the table. I don't understand why people don't look for another job if they don't enjoy their work instead of being unfriendly in their current position, especially towards customers this is not done.

We never had food, if I have to wait 30 minutes to order, then I don't feel like ordering anymore... especially if the people who sat at the table after me already have their starter and I can't even place my order yet. And hunc sat next to me... Not recommended.
