We had a delicious meal at a cozy restaurant just outside the village center. The waitress was attentive and friendly in a fitting manner.

A warm welcome and delicious food! Friendly service topped it all off. I had two wonderful evenings there.

We went on Schnitzel special night and had the €19.50 schnitzels with a variety of sauces to choose from. Excellent value as they were delicious. Atmosphere is lacking as it has no outdoor area near the river and the bar is directly upon entry with only a small amount of dining spaces. Good wheat beer on tap.

Price quality just top. To be honest, you have to look a bit through the red interior, but that is also just part of this type of restaurant. The food is simply well prepared and delicious. Good service is often hard to find these days, here of course.

We came across the restaurant by chance via a flyer... and chose the advertised schnitzel special on Sunday. Our meal was truly perfect! A delicious schnitzel with homemade breading, served with pan-fried vegetables in a fantastic sauce and fries. We've rarely had such good food in the Netherlands! We'll be back - guaranteed! Good and friendly service!

Een fijn restaurant met een gezebar erbij. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, alles was voldoende aanwezig, als bv je patat of groente op is kan je altijd een extra bakje vragen. Dankjewel Sabrina en de rest van het team

Formerly the Stuffed Knight. The food was not bad, but we have had much better, also for the price. It was cold inside and the chairs were quite rickety.

Had dinner here for the first time tonight with our family & grandparents. It was all really delicious (steak, satay, ribeye, desserts (dame blanche, apple strudel)). It was great that the kids were allowed to go into the kitchen after dinner to make their own ice cream. Owner is very friendly. You are asked on time and several times (during dining/dinner) whether someone wants a drink once the glass is empty (very nice!). Operation is also very customer-friendly. And what a nice atmosphere. We will definitely come back here!

Great, you can always go there. Duck and Bouef Bourgignon perfect, at an acceptable price.

This is a pleasant place to ear or have a drink. We enjoyed a well prepared meal with fresh produce and tasty fish. Friendly staff too. Centrally located in Maaarssen-Dorp.

Lovely place with hard working girls in service. Not everything went well around us, but we had an excellent evening with delicious food. Highly recommended in our opinion for a good meal.

Na een eerdere positieve ervaring wederom een tafel gereserveerd voor een diner. Helaas minder goed. Ondanks reservering moest tafel nog geregeld worden. Bediening was niet echt vriendelijk en liep steeds tegen stoel gelet op kleine doorgang. Beetje nors en niet kind vriendelijk. Hoofdgerecht met kip bleek niet gaar te zijn. Nacht boven wc doorgebracht. Ook ree biefstuk niet mals en patat slap. Weinig groente ondanks dat dit wel op kaart staat. Cheesecake bleek op te zijn. Algeheel jammer.

Actually very nicely received. Super busy during blues weekend Maarssen. Even the stairs were full. The music was way too loud, we complained and we were then allowed to eat upstairs. Preventive staff. Good food, comparable to Le Brasseur. We'll come back more often!

Leuk ingericht restaurant met een prettige sfeer. De spare ribs waren erg smaakvol. De gekonfijte eendenbout was eveneens erg lekker. Een rode wijn erbij gedronken, Haut patarabet st emilon grand cru. De wijn was vol en krachtig. De bediening was vlot en attent.

Delicious food, surprising daily menus, beautiful place.

Gezellig plekje in het hartje van oud Maarssen, dicht bij De Vecht. Het restaurant heeft een gezellige ambiance en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Het was alleen een beetje koud binnen ( 13 april), dat was jammer. Verrukkelijke vissoep gegeten, die zeker prijswaardig is. De vissoep heeft ons wel warm gekregen. Alle maaltijden vonden wij overigens keurig van prijs. Lig je hier met de boot, zeker een aanrader. Wij komen graag nog een keer hier eten.

Met zeven man de kerstlunch op 1e kerstdag gereserveerd bij eetcafé Rabelais, Bij aankomst stond alles al op tafel, broodjes koud, eieren koud. Geen kerststol of vers fruit wat wel op de uitnodiging stond. Niets zelfgemaakt, alleen opgewarmd in de oven, had hier echt wel wat meer van verwacht, het kost 34,50 per persoon, waarschijnlijk nog geen 5 euro per persoon aan uitgegeven. Kom hier zeker niet terug. De bediening niets op aan te merken, aardige meisjes. Servies/bestek niet echt schoon helaas.

During our boat holiday a few weeks ago (Jaagpad Maarssen) we had a really delicious meal here. The hostess herself handed out a flyer at the moorings with the menu and an offered discount of 10%. We have not regretted that. Miniature dachshund Abeltje was also allowed to come along and we were given an (outside) spot in the nicest patio in the Netherlands: small but nice! The patio was created with a lot of love and attention and I was able to smoke my cigarette there while Abeltje was offered his bowl of water. We had a nice chat at the bar with our sweet and personable waitress. We also met the cooking brigade who prepared a delicious meal in the scorching heat. We will definitely come back here!

Came here alone... had high expectations... But everything was exceeded... Cozy bar to eat at, delicious tournedos, fantastic cheese plate... Couldn't resist, had a walnut sundae with caramel cream... Delicious house wine and beer from the tap... Hostess very friendly... I will definitely come back here..!!

Cozy restaurant, excellent food, excellent price-quality. After dinner you can have a nice drink at the bar. Despite the crowds, the chef had everything under control and we had our food fairly quickly. We also have no complaints regarding drinks, this was monitored very well. We will definitely come back!

In the afternoon we received a flyer on our boat when we were moored. Booked immediately without looking at any reviews. We had a really delicious meal. The mushroom starter was excellent. I was here with my parents, they had coloring books here and a delicious steak, well made, nice staff and the chef is a good cook. After dinner I was allowed to make my own ice cream.

Small menu but everything on it is good to eat

After a flyer promotion from them, I ordered two takeaway menus. Was well organized and provided with the necessary information. The products were well prepared, tasty and more than sufficient. We hope to be able to have a bite to eat there again after the Covid-19 troubles.

Had made a reservation but the table was occupied for longer than expected, I received a phone call asking if it would be a problem if our reservation was moved up by half an hour. Upon arrival, bread with herb butter and a drink on the house for the inconvenience. ABSOLUTELY GREAT

Nice, cozy restaurant with great food. Chef Mike always does his best to accommodate every wish, suggestion or diet, with success. Hostess Sabrina is a cheerful, warm personality who will effortlessly ensure you have a pleasant evening. Even now, in times of Corona, it is a nice restaurant where you feel comfortable; the 1.5 meter distance is neatly achieved everywhere, every guest is asked about complaints, extra screens between the tables, disinfectant gel at the door and in the toilet. In short: great!
