It's a shame Aunt Lien's in Maarssen is leaving. Delicious food at a fair price. Luckily, they're staying in Utrecht.

Great Indian food in Maarssen! Don't expect a hip restaurant; the location is more of a takeaway place with a large counter and a few tables for eating. But if you really want to eat delicious Indian food, Tante Lien is the place to be! Very nice service and delicious affordable rice tables. We had the Java (incl. leafo). See you soon aunt!

Ordered Aunt Liens' rice table for 2 people, at the pick-up they played football with a bowl, and then my Bami went into it. Then this kid also wants to put the paper bag over his head. Tip for the owner, throw this guy out quickly, completely unsuitable for the catering industry. Another colleague spoke to him about this. This kid will be the downfall of this restaurant.

Dramatic service, waited a long time and then asked for the menu but I was rudely told that we still have to wait. Finally ordered, didn't get what we ordered, asked again, partially got what we wanted. Then found a hair in the fried rice, which was taken away but never received a new one so we had to eat the dishes without rice. Attention from the service was also not available...so we waited a lot... It was my first time with friends who had never eaten Indonesian food and they left with a new feeling...a shame!

Yesterday we had another delicious meal at Aunt Lien's. Smooth and friendly service. In our opinion, highly recommended.

Bought satay and a bowl of cucumber acar. We had to pay €10 for a 375 cc container. They use this price for a bowl of vegetables or tofu. In my opinion, a bowl of pickles is different from a more processed dish. Very disappointed... it tasted good! But it can be different….

Just picked up something in Maarssen and they claim that 1 small bowl of rice is 12.50 euros and 2 eggs are 12.50. Which is not in accordance with the map. According to them, each container is 12.50. So be careful with takeout, this is not right. Called again and they confirmed that it is 12.50 per container. So eating there is cheaper than taking away. So watch out 9/23/23 Called back today from the owner about our situation. He indicated that it was due to an error and that the staff had been informed about this. Together we discussed a suitable solution. I would like to thank the owner for his response and for the solution

This place is deteriorating more and more. The food, but especially the service. Waiting an hour and a half for food is really too long. Wrong products delivered. Last time......

Small cozy restaurant. My dining partner ordered mild food but it was quite spicy. I ordered 3 skewers. But when the server brought it he said: "The third satay is still on the grill, you will get it shortly." Never got it of course. But pay for it.

It is authentic; You even get the well-known Bali Belly after a dinner at Tante Lien's. Been shitting for a week and a half. Unfortunately the last time for me.

Ate in the restaurant last weekend. Heating was not on even though it said it was on. Ate with our coats on. Cold hands and feet. We won't be going there anymore for the time being.

Rice table. Nice flavors but very salty and dry. Everything comes from the microwave and therefore has dried out pieces. For example, meatball is soft on the bottom but dry/hard on the top. Skewers dry/hard. Shame.

Had a bite here with friends, delicious rice table, more than enough portions and very pleasant service! A great no-nonsense Indonesian restaurant.

Good food, but disproportionately expensive. A lemper costs €5.50 each. In other places always €1. Don't go back again.

Got 1 portion of satay (2 sticks) today for €4. Price is not in proportion to what you get, a portion should consist of 3 sticks, in addition, the satay was not tender and the peanut sauce was very watery.

As far as I know, there is no better Indonesian food in Utrecht. So if you want Indonesian food you have to go here :).

You get the most authentic taste here. Sometimes they left the peppers out. The rest is exactly like in Indonesia. Great that we have this here.

After many years, I bought a rice table from Aunt Lien again. We are lovers of Indonesian food, both eating out and cooking ourselves. Unfortunately, the dishes at the table at home were disappointing. We had ordered extra Soto, but this was a weak soup with raw vegetables, I don't mind the latter if the broth is spicy, but ingredients such as lemongrass, djahe and galangal really did not stand out. The few pieces of chicken in it were bone dry. The rice was full of hard dried lumps. Sayur Lodeh tasted a bit stale, the meat in Babi ketjap was bone dry and rock hard. Normally there is less meat in Indonesian satay than we Dutch are used to, but these satays had very little meat, but the worst part was that 3 of the 4 skewers were burnt black and you could taste that. The Sambal Goreng beans were tasty. The Rendang had a good taste, but unfortunately here too the meat was not cooked until soft but dried out and there were hard pieces. The Telor was literally a hard-boiled egg cut in half... I expected a bit of spicy sauce with that. I like trassi in dishes, but the Ayam Bali was quite lacking. Furthermore, Atjar tjampur, krupuk, dry dishes were missing and all of this was on the menu. I'm not a complainer, but you pay a considerable amount for a rice table for two and you can expect quality.

Tante Lien is a nice (take-away) restaurant, with delicious authentic Indonesian dishes. If you like this, the flavors are really a treat. We have been coming here for at least 6 years and hope that it will continue to exist for a long time.

One of the better Indian restaurants in and around Utrecht. Indonesian as it should taste, spicy and traditional, according to family recipe. Great service and affordable comfort food. To take away or to enjoy in the attractive restaurant area. And what you don't finish you can take home.

Not really recommended. We had taken away. Dirty pieces of meat, bami goreng looked like it was all mixed together with chili sauce. Little noodles. The snacks were more like lumps of dough than real flavor or other ingredients. Shame.

It always takes a while, but it's worth the wait.

In October we used Aunt Lien's catering service for a surprise party at home, for 35 people. Website and menu are clear, telephone information completed the order, especially regarding the quantities to be ordered. Friendly, service prepared, attentive, and a delicious rice table. Well cared for, including the ladies in Javanese clothing. Vegetarian dishes available. A successful evening, and many thanks for the delicious bacon biscuit! Recommended.......
