Nice restaurant. Beautiful location.

It was a family celebration for my niece's birthday. We had a three-course buffet with all sorts of unique dishes. More than five dishes per course. Everything looked very well presented, and the food was top-notch. The staff were very friendly and the drinks were served quickly. We will definitely go back for an à la carte dinner. Highly recommended.

Great food with very attentive service. There was even a little birthday surprise. The only downside was that the parking lot, which is actually quite large, was completely full on a Tuesday, so we had to walk quite a distance. But we were happy to do it for such a lovely evening. Highly recommended!

I went here for dinner on the advice of a colleague. What a surprise. I called it a party for my mouth. The dishes are well balanced. The staff is friendly and helpful. Good service, not pushy but attentive. A restaurant we will definitely go back to. We had three courses, coffee and 2 drinks per person, which may have cost us a bit more than average.

You can easily park behind the restaurant. Once inside, it looks a bit unusual to me. I also didn't find the finish and how things were arranged to be useful. We sat in front of the wine refrigerator that was also being used. It is very noisy and loud. But the food was fantastic. The service was good and nice. Not very attentive but when they were at the table it was good. The food there was very tasty. Nicely served and well eaten! The portions are also good. I think it could be a bit cozier! The dog is welcome!

We booked the restaurant with a group based on reviews. We were not disappointed, we found the shared dining very tasty and cozy. Compliments to the kitchen for how they handled an adjustment of the menu in response to a dietary requirement that was not known at the time of booking. We would love to come back!

Had a lovely meal here with my daughter, but I thought the waiting times between dishes were a bit too long. This was probably due to crowds in the restaurant.

Nice place where the tables are a good distance apart. Parking nearby is very nice. Pleasant service. I didn't like the non-alcoholic wine. (was it apple juice with sparkling?) tiramisu can be served in a smaller glass and with less cocoa on it. Furthermore, we had a delicious meal at a round table, so that you can see all your table companions clearly.

Excellent meal with excellent service. Bubbles beforehand were fine, pinot grigio and especially the bottle of pecorino were delicious. Tasty bites, including good arancini. Olive all'Ascolana was not original but in its own interpretation it was good. Several good pastas and good secondis - including boar ragu. Desserts also tasty, the bottom of the tiramisu could have been a little drier. All in all a wonderful evening out here, worth repeating!

The six of us went here for dinner. One of us was Mexican and another was English. The service was really fantastic and they made a huge effort to translate everything and make sure everyone had a good time. The food itself was also really fantastic. All dietary requirements were very well taken into account with the surprise menu, and even the wine was adjusted because you got a different dish. Enjoyed it wonderfully. We will definitely come back here.

We like to eat at De Olifant regularly. Staff Alert and friendly. Cozy decorated restaurant. A separate room for large groups. Last year we celebrated our 50th anniversary dinner there with family and friends. Everything arranged perfectly. Enough parking available.

I thought it was nicely decorated. I was born in Maarssen but have never been there. I thought the food was very tasty, it had a wide range of different options. Looked very neat and beautifully served on the plate. Friendly service and explanation. As far as I'm concerned, it's worth repeating.

On September 11, 2024 we celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary with 15 guests in restaurant De Olifant. Everyone was able to enjoy a delicious 3-course shared dinner, expertly prepared by Frank and served under the guidance of Sam. Excellent service! It was a tremendous success. And the atmosphere in the separate room was perfect. We have planned to take a detour when we are in the Breukelen area to enjoy the culinary qualities of this restaurant again. Last visited about 5 years ago. Now? A wonderful restaurant with a new owner, I think. It is very stylishly decorated, tables are also beautifully laid out. The 'shared dining' option is great. The wine is nice and cold and tastes fantastic. Service sweet, friendly and up for a chat. We had a fantastic meal and will be back soon.

I celebrated my birthday at restaurant De Olifant. The separate, attractive space (for a number of people) really appealed to me! I opted for the 3-course shared dinner menu. All guests enjoyed the delicious food and good service. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing experience! Took the surprise menu, at first three courses without a dessert, but we were so amazed we asked to upgrade to 4 courses including a dessert. Also tried the homemade limoncello. Everything homemade by this place is great!!

With a flashback to the corona time when we could regularly get the delicious shared dining menu for home, we recently decided to order this again for a larger group for a birthday at home. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail and everyone was once again able to enjoy the delicious dishes. It's incredible how the kitchen brigade arranged this for us, in addition to the regular restaurant and events, with a lot of attention, flexibility and explanation. We were able to indicate our own preference for the dishes and were partly surprised. We even had a non-pasta lover in our midst who really liked the two different pastas in the menu!! The cost of the meat/fish main course was also not taken into account, we were served a really beautiful and perfectly prepared piece of ribeye. The dessert and the Italian tapas dish beforehand were also very generous and delicious. In short, we had a fantastic and tasty evening, thanks to the Olifant team, and we will certainly repeat it!

We picked up the Christmas menu at Christmas, 5 courses and 2 amuses. The food was delicious, well put together and all in all more than enough. It was a party and will definitely have the home menu again next time.

Great tent with a sense of taste and ambiance. A la carte, shared dining or a surprise menu, all in perfect order and delicious in taste. The chef knows what really tasty Italian food is!

Inmiddels meerdere keren in dit restaurant gegeten en elke keer was het top! Heerlijk Italiaanse keuken en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Wij zullen hier zeker vaker terugkomen.

Wat een heerlijke avond. Genoten van het shared dining menu. Heerlijke gerechtjes die je smaakpapillen strelen. De setting is huiselijk gezellig en de medewerkers super vriendelijk. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Vandaag nogmaals gegeten bij de olifant! We zijn verwend met heerlijk eten!! We gingen weer voor het verrassingsmenu! En hoe!! Super lekker en super mooi opgemaakt! De sfeer in het restaurant was ook erg aangenaam. Het interieur was stijlvol en modern, met een warme en gezellige ambiance. Het creëerde de perfecte setting voor een ontspannen dinerervaring. Al met al kan ik restaurant De Olifant ten zeerste aanbevelen. Het biedt niet alleen heerlijk eten, maar ook uitstekende service en een geweldige sfeer. Of je nu op zoek bent naar een romantisch diner voor twee of een gezellige avond met vrienden, dit restaurant zal zeker aan je verwachtingen voldoen.

Afgelopen week hier gegeten. En echt een aanrader. De gerechten waren heerlijk, vooral de Arancini's met bospaddenstoelen. Ook de "kleine" pasta's, waarbij de porties absoluut niet "klein" te noemeb waren, heerlijk! De pasta scampi en de risotto "geshared" na wat heerlijke fingerfoods. De pesto bij het broodplankje was absoluut huisgemaakt, je kon het proeven😇🥰 Chapeau! Mooie prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Met collega's gegeten en het share menu voorgeschoteld gekregen. Er werd rekening gehouden met de diverse wensen die we hadden in de groep. Eten was erg lekker en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar om een keertje terug te gaan.

Dit restaurant met Italiaanse keuken is geweldig! Frank is een heel gepassioneerde kok die echt zorgt voor heerlijke gerechten, je proeft de liefde voor de Italiaanse keuken. Excellent food. We had the italian buffet. Starters were good. Main course lacked some options, and the sauce from the first course was removed a bit early. Dessert was excellent. The bus stop is right in front of the restaurant, sadly it only stops there once per hour, and it was late - causing us to miss the train,. waste the better part of another half an hour.
