Had a wonderful evening 😁!! I had a lovely dinner with my parents at De Nieuwe Graaf. The name and the restaurant have been upgraded; it used to be called De Gulle Graef. It was always delicious, but the restaurant needed some renovations. That's now been done, and everything has improved. Someone always comes by to ask if you want another drink; it's simply perfect. 👌👌 The food is truly amazing, with perfect portions so you don't have to order more. If you haven't been yet, you absolutely must go, because you won't find such delicious food anywhere else!! 😁 One drawback: don't sit next to the swinging door, because there's a good chance you'll get hit in the head by it!! 😁😁

What a sad affair! We went here for dinner because we'd always been big fans of the generous Graef. However, the new Graef was a disappointment. The plates were blandly presented, the food was very poor value for money, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was also lacking. It's a real shame I ordered spare ribs, which cost 29.50. I got a white pancake-like plate with a rib on it, nothing else, no salad, nothing. We also got a small portion of fries that the three of us had to share. Compared to other restaurants in the area, it's much better. You won't see me back at the new Graef anytime soon!

Unfortunately, it was really cold at our table. There was a problem with the heater, which made it a bit uncomfortable. There were few other guests. The staff didn't have much to do. We found the waiter a bit too pushy. He kept standing by our table until we had made a choice from the menu. This made us feel a bit embarrassed and slightly uneasy. We told him we needed to look at it, but he returned two minutes later to ask if we had already made up our minds. The food itself was fine. Portions were good for the price. The tomato soup was excellent. The carpaccio was generously topped, but unfortunately, due to the lack of olive oil or perhaps truffle oil, it was a bit dry. There was some pesto on it, but not enough compared to the toppings. The satay was a bit too charred, making it a bit dry in places. The satay sauce was flavorful and nicely spiced. The fries were crispy and at the right temperature. The dessert was excellent! We'll try again in the summer.

We made a reservation for Christmas Day, but unfortunately, we could only choose from the suggested Christmas menu. The selection wasn't great, and the preparation wasn't great either. We mentioned this on arrival, even at checkout. Not worth repeating.

We had a fantastic meal here! I'll definitely be back! The staff are also really nice and go the extra mile to ensure you have a great evening!

Under new ownership for a month now, but very satisfied. Wide menu selection, lovely atmosphere. Good food, and excellent service. If you're in Hilversum for a bite to eat, you should definitely go here.

During our weekly walk, we arrived at De Nieuwe Graaf. A beautiful restaurant on a romantic square in Hilversum city center. The food, the atmosphere, the location, and the staff are all top-notch! When my dinner companion requested a cortado at the end of dinner, the staff went above and beyond to prepare this coffee version as perfectly as possible. People who love hospitality and the hospitality industry work here! Absolutely top-notch. In short: it was a fantastic evening!

Spontaneously went here for dinner, fantastic what a nice fresh place, the food was great, shrimp cocktail was tasty, vitello T was delicious, hamburger and the shrimp pot everything was good nice wine nice service we will definitely come back

We ate there for the first time yesterday after the renovations. Luckily, much of the decor has stayed the same... the food was still excellent!

Really good old fashioned! Went there with my partner and had a wonderful meal. Spare ribs fall off the bone and have a huge amount of flavour. Steak is great and you get it exactly the way you want it, almost science how exactly it was cooked! Good, neat and cheerful service. Extensive beer and wine menu and just a great evening for a normal price! We will come back here so often!

Op vrijdag 3 januari heerlijk gedineerd. De gerechten waren top maar de reden dat we een review schrijven is aandacht voor de gasten. Zo werd een man die alleen gedineerd had en weg wilde gaan zonder te groeten, vriendelijk goedenavond gewenst. Ook was er veel personeel aan het werk waarbij opviel dat ze bijna allemaal konden tappen. Verder opvallend dat een biertje wat al even op de bar stond, voor het serveren nog even opnieuw werd bij getapt zodat het er weer beter uit zag. Dat doen ze niet overal. De aandacht voor meer van zulke kleine dingen was opvallend. Je ziet dat iedereen zijn best doet om het de gasten naar de zin te maken.

Always tasty dishes and you can determine the size of the portions yourself. Outside there is a large and cozy terrace. Service friendly but not always attentive.

Large restaurant, often offering room for a nice last-minute dinner out. Delicious food, always friendly staff and a great place to spend an evening eating and drinking! Personally, I am always very happy with the loose meat menu, meat boards for 2 or more people with sirloin steak, tournedos and ribeye! The terrace is also nice to sit in the summer.

I had a nice meal here with my group. A not so large, but varied menu. In addition, a small season ticket, which I really liked. I love game and it was the season for that. Was very tasty. And luckily the wine I chose went well with it. My group didn't really like game, but they also liked their choice from the regular menu. Recommended!

We tried the meat board and it was very tasty. They have local beers from the tap and also an extensive wine menu. Lastly, they know how to make the bill fun! Highly recommended

Top service from the staff and owners. Nice atmosphere. Everything was arranged down to the last detail, both the event and the menu. Started with Virgin Piña Colada (without alcohol) Deliciously light, combination, carpaccio starter, juicy lamb chops and for dessert, including mini cheesecake, block of tiramisu and scoop of ice cream. All in all very excellent. I did end up with a smudge of elephant paint on my blazer, as a reminder :-) :-) Kind of a design. Thanks everyone

Delicious meal on the terrace with six, a snack beforehand, three courses and fresh mint tea to finish. Large cozy covered terrace, excellent attentive service, just good.

As visitors to Hilversum, my wife and I chose this restaurant because the online menu looked interesting and creative. We were not disappointed. I can honestly say that this was one of the best meals I've had ... ever! While cocktail culture has yet to reach the Netherlands, the pina colada and amaretto sour we started our meal with were both excellent. Our main course was the Chateaubriand steak for two, served over a bed of perfectly roasted veggies on a rough wooden plank. The steak was superb ... tender, juicy, tasty, and exactly medium rare ... nicely paired with a hearty Chilean cabernet sauvignon. For dessert, a decadent chocolate mousse with raspberry ice cream served in small spring-top canning jars. We stumbled back to our Airbnb, very full and very happy!

Nice place to eat, tasty menu and grilled vegetables as a side dish is highly recommended. The terrace is very attractive, but it's a shame about the smokers who hang over your meal with a cigarette after their meal.

Tasty food. More than enough. Had a 3 course menu. Good service, but the dessert and coffee took a bit long. Good thing will definitely come back.

Last Tuesday I had dinner here with work. I am lactose intolerant and they handled this wonderfully. They have an allergy card and also double check everything just to be sure. I didn't feel well during dinner and they immediately took action. Everything was checked again and they asked what they could do for me. The staff handled this so professionally. Really nice. Ps. I found out the cause and it was NOT due to eating the Gulle Graef.

Super cozy terrace with attentive staff! Food is tasty, especially if you like meat! Fish and vegetarian dishes are limited.

Reservation went smoothly. We were allowed to sit at a table with 9 people, which initially seemed a bit on the small side, but ultimately served well. Service is smooth and friendly and the food and drinks arrived quickly. Quality is excellent, although some dishes (particularly the vegetarian ones) lag behind. However, meat lovers will really appreciate the Gulle Graef. Overall cozy and good cafe with good price/quality ratio.

Nice service! Just a pity that the pork belly was not cooked properly with a crispy crust. Other than that it was fine.

The food (1 beer, 1 coke, carpaccio and 1.5 spare ribs) was tasty. Reserved table at 1900. Now at 2100 I am sitting in the toilet with diarrhea. But it was tasty.

A very cozy restaurant that I like to visit! The service is very friendly and there is a nice choice on the menu. Food is good, but the quality of fries that you get with your dish is a real downside. Dry and not tasty. As far as we are concerned, they can really adapt them to a different brand and quality. For the rest, we would love to come again!

We had a delicious meal here! There is a cozy atmosphere in the restaurant with pleasant service. The menu is surprising with delicious dishes and a choice of different portion sizes. The beer menu has also been expanded with a nice range of non-alcoholic beers. All in all, highly recommended!

We waren hier voor het kerstdiner op 26 december. Vanwege verlate gasten bij ons, mochten we toch langer gebruik maken van onze tafel. Het eten was prima😍, de sfeer ontzettend gezellig🥰. Achter onze tafel is een enorme boekenkast😍😍😍😍😍. Ook leuke Delftsblauwe tegeltjes in de oude haard. Voor herhaling vatbaar! Hilversum is ook leuk om lekker te wandelen. Top!

Mijn petje af!! Dubbele shift op Kerstdag. Toen we kwamen om 20.00 was niet te merken dat de zaak net bomvol had gezeten. Het eten was voortreffelijk, de bediening was hoffelijk, vrolijk en attent. Het was weer een feestje om te mogen komen eten. Je voelt je zo verwend!

Pluspunten: super vriendelijk personeel, lekkere (volle glazen) wijn, nachos zijn top! Minpunten: de sate leek eerder op kipfilet dan kippendij. Grote portie, maar had zachter gekund als het kippendij bevat. De smaak was verder erg goed. De bietenburger was ook een ruime portie, bevatte alles, maar persoonlijk vond ik het niet zo lekker. Te sterk van smaak qua kruiden. Maar dat is mijn persoonlijke smaak... Sfeer was prima en personeel ook, zeer vriendelijk.

Heel groot restaurant met een mega groot terras verwarmd met heaters. Mega lekker gegeten en bediend door vriendelijk personeel. Het enige minpuntje was het vele lawaai doordat het zo groot is.

Buiten de standaard kaart ook mooie gerechten, gezellig buiten zijn met leuke verlichting.

5 sterren verdient! ik ben geweest samen met een goede vriend van mij. we waren aan de late kant aangekomen, en woude graag, all you can eat uitproberen. maar we wisten niet zeker of het nog mogelijk was. toch hebben zij een uitzondering voor ons gedaan, omdat we uit ver waren gekomen. We zijn heel vriendelijk en professioneel verwelkomd. we hebben een Gulle hamburger met friet genomen, om te beginnen, en daarna hebben wij een Gulle sparibs besteld. Tot onze verrassing.. hebben we een extra grotere portie spareribs gekregen. dat vonden we heel tof, en klantvriendelijk. Dit is iets wat helaas niet overal gebeurt, dus dat vind ik heel waardevol. Ten slotte.. vroeg ik of het mogelijk was om een cocktail te bestellen, sinds het bijna sluitingstijd was. Alweer hebben ze nog een gunst gedaan en heb ik toch nog een cocktail mogen bestellen. We zijn super tevreden geweest, hebben heerlijk gegeten, en de eindafrekening was in vergelijking met andere restaurants en eetgelegenheden toch wel goedkoop! Wij komen gegarandeerd terug!! nogmaals.. aan de hele personeel..5 sterren verdient!!!
