Effendy - Lahmacun Cafe in Jordaan

We had a minced meat classic no cheese and a kebob and they were both very good. Only 4 tables so lots of people were getting them to go. We were lucky enough to get last table and were shocked how many people were getting food there.

The vegetarian lahmacun might be the best I've ever had. The spanish lahmacun is also among my favorites. Manager Tuğçe and her team were very kind to us. I'll be back soon.

Our family recently visited. We enjoyed lahmacun and Turkish tea, and we absolutely loved both! Unfortunately, I don’t know her name, but a kind female employee at the front who spoke Turkish made our experience even better. She was extremely friendly and welcoming, and we really appreciated her excellent service.

We visited Effendy in Amsterdam with my parents, who were visiting from Turkey, and absolutely loved it. The lahmacun was outstanding, and the “A la Turca” and Lahmacun Kebab were full of authentic flavor. Everything tasted just like back home. Special thanks to Yusuf, whose warm and friendly attitude made our experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for real Turkish food in Amsterdam!

Yusuf, the business manager, is especially professional and very hospitable. Furthermore, all the products are excellent. Hygiene and other rules were perfect.

Evey week i am visiting this fantastic place to get their extremely delicious lahmacun. Each lahmacun is very tasty but my favorite ones is kebap lahmacun it is known by Turkish pizza. I recommend to everyone.

One day food was amazing, the other day, I got not exactly what I wanted: I asked for a mint tea, they brought me just a Turkish tea (I like Turkish tea) but on that day I wanted a mint one. I asked not to make the lachmacun spicy, yet it turned out to be spicy. But the first time I was there, food was amazing. The place is pretty small and busy, so you might wait for a table. But it’s pretty cheap and tasty, so I recommend.

Very delicious and crispy lahmacun, with various fillings, including vegan options, and various add-ons. Very friendly staff, limited seating inside, a few outside. Like everywhere in Amsterdam. Quick preparation, top value!

The owner was very welcoming and warm. He patiently explained each dish and helped us order. The environment was comfortable, and the dishes were unique. The prices were reasonable and the value for money was excellent. It was a great experience.

We had lahmacun with our family. The service was warm and very fast, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. It's great to have different options for lahmacun; the hot and sauce varieties are delicious. We also definitely recommend the baklava for dessert. The lahmacun is very crispy and delicious. I definitely recommend you try it.

Great lunch option! Not much room to eat there but there's a canal nearby to sit down and eat. Ordered the kebab option. Lots of parsley maybe too much. But overall delicious!

They can't manage the ordering process, it's very complicated, we waited outside for a very long time and 10 people who came after us got their food. They ignored our order even though we reminded them 3 times. I don't think you should go.

Even though I'm from Gaziantep, I really enjoyed the lahmacun. Despite being made on electric pizza ovens and rolled out in a pizza machine, the dough and filling are delicious. I was very pleased with the friendliness and attentiveness of the owner and staff, and their dedication to promoting Turkish culture. I highly recommend coming here and supporting their growth and development. You'll get your money's worth and be glad you came.

The lahmacun was very good, just a little dry, but I still think it was one of the best I've had in the Netherlands. Everything was great, except for the cramped space.

It's delicious, they're welcoming, smiling, and very generous. They take the time to understand you, even trying to speak French as best they can. I highly recommend you go there; you won't be disappointed.

The most delicious classic Lamachun we have possibly ever had- super cheesy and melted, great flavors and made quickly after you order.

I got the lahmacun chicken wrap which was tasty and a good portion. They couldn't leave the mushrooms out so had to pick them out but other than that it was good.

Lahmacun was good but the place is very small and shabby. The employees know Turkish but they did not answer. If you are craving lahmacun, go but it may not be worth going just for this place

We tried Classic with Cheese, Kabab, and Chicken wraps. Chicken Wrap: 10/10 Kabab Wrap: 8/10 Classic and Cheese: 5/10 - was too salty. The staff are friendly.

It's worth it, Türklerden has a lot to offer - but the quality is great. Amsterdam's a place where you'll be able to see what's going on. And of course in German :-) for German-speaking visitors. 👍🏽 The staff is incredibly warm and friendly. I can say with complete conviction that this was the tastiest and best lahmacun I've ever eaten. Without exaggeration, it was better than many lahmacun shops in Turkey! Interestingly, the shop has more foreign customers than Turkish customers—a clear sign of the quality. If I return to Amsterdam, this will definitely be the first place I visit.

Although it was my first time at the restaurant, I felt at home. Especially the Assistant Manager made our evening much more enjoyable with his hospitality and professionalism. Yummy! This place def lives up to the hype! Delicious and super fresh with great flavors! Not the best pic but it tastes like it looks, crispy, airy and chewy with the perfect amount of filling/topping to make it satisfying. It’s more filling than it looks so if you’re going to be food hopping, share!

Unexpectedly ended up here at the end of the afternoon, ordered a Lahmacun chicken without expectations; wow! What a gift this was, taste, crispy and perfect combination of chicken/vegetables and salad. Definitely worth repeating and for a good price!

Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the lahmacun didn't live up to our expectations. It was a bit dry and not as flavorful as in Turkey. Plus, one portion isn't really filling. The place is very small and offers barely any seating. But that's probably typical for Amsterdam.

Even though we said it would be packaged, they prepared it to be renewed in the store. Thinking that we didn’t hear, she said to her friends “it was going to be packaged, it was a mistake”. Then she turned to us and tried to put the blame on us by saying “you just didn’t say it was going to be packaged”. If you tried to listen to the other person as much as you tried to understand our order, there wouldn’t be such problems. I didn’t like the taste of the lahmacuns. It’s a matter of taste. I have never encountered 1000 different people in my restaurant serving in the food sector every day and I have never seen such an approach. The customer is always right. The best lahmacun I've had in the Netherlands, crispy and delicious like Turkish lahmacun! You should definitely try this place, the service is very fast, the staff is helpful. If you can't choose from the menu, definitely follow the staff's advice :) I will definitely come back here.

This location has gotten too busy and the quality has fallen significantly. They are in a rush to make and are burning the wraps in the oven and they are getting too hard to eat. The other location's quality of wraps is superior. Recommend going to their second location va this one. Did not enjoy the food here.

Such a good, quick meal. I got the classic with cheese and it was packed with flavor - spices without being spicy. I got the hot sauce on the side and it was so perfectly flavored that I kept adding it to each bite. I'm already craving more.

We tried it with the advice of a traveler page, we had limited time in Amsterdam, Effendy Lahmacun is right next to Fatih Mosque, within walking distance to many places on your list of things to see such as Dam Square, its location is very good. If you are one of those who say let's not stray from the flavors we know in a different country, this little place is just for you, they brought a new interpretation to Lahmacun, we loved it very much

We had lahmacun and a vegetarian lahmacun, and both were delicious. Nice crispy base and well topped
