Fantastic meal. Definitely recommended for anyone who enjoys extensive dining. Wonderful evening out. Vegetarian was no problem.

Excellent food! Top quality cuisine, but could do with better service

Every course is a culinary surprise. Good value for money

Communication was not always optimal. The staff gave a rather loud explanation. Furthermore, the strength of this cuisine is somewhat obscured by sauces and foam. The taste of the product in question was therefore less appreciated. It is a restaurant that is the only one of its kind in Den Burg. It was sufficient, but there is certainly room for improvement.

We were guests at Eilandkeuken for the second time as a family with a dog and were not disappointed again. The five-course menu we selected in a vegetarian version was very varied and tasted excellent. There was nothing to complain about. The attentive service rounded off the extremely positive impression. Our absolute recommendation if you are on holiday on Texel.

The menu is very varied, with wonderful light sauces, in a tasteful setting, and attentive service. The restaurant has no reason to fear comparison with Michelin-starred restaurants.

Bij aankomst treffen we een donkere wat sombere ruimte. Onleesbare menukaart. Diverse gerechten matig van smaak. Beleefd personeel, maar niet toegankelijk. Conclusie. Het restaurant voldeed niet aan de op internet geschetste verwachtingen. Onbalans in prijs kwaliteitverhouding.

Wederom fantastisch gegeten hier, leuke attente bediening en jullie vega hoofdgerecht was helemaal top, zelfs non vega mensen zouden dit enorm waarderen. Drie kleine vega-gerechten die samen een harmonie waren, gewoon klasse. Tot een volgende keer, Cees & Alissa

Heel lekker gegeten bij De Eillandkeuken. Texelse producten en ingrediënten op een verfijnde manier verwerkt. Lam er lekker.

A special fine dining experience. The combination of flavours and textures were all very delicate, a much welcome change in a country where a lot of restaurants just throw as many spices as possible in the food. The recipes were perfect to showcase the quality of the local ingredients. I would suggest to include the tartare in your menu because it is excellent.

Niks aan toe te voegen wat een fijn restaurant! Genoten van 5 gangenmenu! Veel groenten, weinig vlees en ook prima vega opties. Lekkere wijnarrangement met mogelijkheid voor halve glazen. En die beurre noisette bij het brood, om je vingers bij op te vreten!

Restaurant baseert zich op menu's, 5,6 of 7-gangen menu. Goede combinatie van gerechten en bereidingen met een oog voor traditionele Texelse ingrediënten. Vriendelijk personeel, doch voor een dergelijk restaurant een paar foutjes. Ons werd een tafeltje achter in de zaak aangewezen, zonder dat iemand ons begeleidde naar onze tafel . Wij hebben zelf onze wijn moeten bijschenken op 2 maal na. Interieur moderniseren, niet echt fris meer.

The food was really tasty, nice ambience and really sweet waiters. Nonetheless there are two points that bothered me quite a bit: the waiting time is definitely one, at a certain point we waited 45 minutes in between the third and the fourth course of a 5 courses meal. I basically got my hunger back. The second point was too much spoon eating: the amuse at the beginning was delicious, a puree of quite poor ingredients (yellow biet mainly) mixed in a surprisingly tasty way, the razor clams spuma was also heavenly and was happy to use again the spoon for it. The point came with the peas dish: another spoon, a bit disappointing combination where the highlight was a super thin slice of lemon on top of a row egg yolk. The fourth dish was also "meh" for me, while my boyfriend loved it. He basically had to remember me that that was the fish and crab course - still spoon. You probably are wondering why am I still praising this restaurant, well, the lamb course. Oh my. I normally don't eat lamb, but this lamb was worth the whole dinner in my opinion. Never have I've eaten such a masterpiece - almost made me forgot I waited 45 minutes for it. Dessert was also a bit disappointing, but I guess it comes from the Italian concept I get in my mind when I read "meringa": two small meringa and some (delicious) icecream don't quite satisfy it - and the spoon was back - only one course where no spoon was needed, missing a bit of a bite there. All in all: would I recommend the place? Yes. If you were hungry? No. Was it worth it? The experience (read: wine, spuma and lamb) was definitely worth it. Would I go back? Yes, actually.

10/10. Really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the service. We picked the 5 course menu with wine pairing. Every dish + wine combo was excellent. Surprising combinations of flavours, meat cooked to perfection, fresh local products. Highly recommend going to Eilandkeuken!

Nachdem wir erst spät auf Texel angekommen sind und wir in einigen Restaurants leider keinen Platz mehr bekommen haben, sind wir in diesem tolles Restaurant gelandet. Was mehrfach vom Michelin ausgezeichnet wurde. Die Kellnerin war super flexibel und hat uns mehrere Hauptgänge zur Auswahl angeboten,da es dort sonst nur 6-8 Gang Menüs gibt. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und von höchster Qualität , sowas haben wir noch nie gegessen. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen, denn preislich war das absolut fair und gerechtfertigt.

Wer hervorragend essen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wer das auch noch in ruhiger, ungezwungener Atmosphäre tuen möchte, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Vegetarier bekommen auf Anfrage ein eigenes Menü.

Na meerdere bezoeken nog steeds een goede keuze in Den Burg.

Wederom bij de Eilandkeuken gegeten. Vijf gangen. En vijf maal top. Echt genieten. En in fijne sfeer. Absolute aanrader.

Het is niet goedkoop maar we hebben wel heel erg genoten van de 5 gangen en heerlijke wijn. De scheermessen waren onze favoriet; echt een bijzonder gerecht!

Zeer lekker gegeten. Zaten ook op een heel rustig plekje in het restaurant. Een echte aanrader.

Als eerste hebben we heerlijk gegeten, de kok kan goed koken. Wat een stuk minder is : de kou en het licht. Je hebt je telefoon nodig om de menukaart te lezen en ik had spijt dat ik geen warme shawl meegenomen had. De jongen in de bediening is een goede voor de zaak, heel enthousiast.

Könnte ich mehr als 5* vergeben, ich würde es tun. Das Ambiente im Restaurant ist unaufdringlich modern und angenehm. Im Hintergrund läuft zum Ambiente die passende Musik. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam, kompetent und ebenfalls unaufdringlich was den Abend sehr angenehm gestaltet. Wir haben uns für das 4 Gänge Menü mit Austern und Champagner als zusätzliche Vorspeise entschieden. Zu jedem Gang gibt es eine kurze Erklärung, was serviert wird. Die Gerichte sind ausnahmslos sehr ansprechend angerichtet und sowohl von der Qualität als auch vom Geschmack wirklich eine Offenbarung. Zum Espresso werden noch einige sehr leckere Aufmerksamkeiten gereicht. Auch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis passt. Wir kommen bei unserem nächsten Besuch auf Texel ganz sicher wieder und können jedem einen Besuch empfehlen. Vielen Dank für einen tollen Abend.

Heerlijk gegeten. Waren nog niet eerder geweest maar alles klopte van A tot Z! Gastvrouw bediende alle tafels alleen maar uitleg was toch goed en overal wat aandacht. Interessante gerechten en goed op smaak. Had graag wat mooie foto's bij gepost bij deze review maar: het was echt te donker binnen. Tot de volgende keer <3

A perfect evening from A-Z. We booked in very short notice, and although we are not the easiest eaters to accommodate (one vegetarian, one no fish eater) our wishes were considered to perfection. The food was absolutely excellent, the service friendly and professional and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. All in all, one of the best nights out in a long time.

Eten: 7,5 Entourage: 5 Eten is van prima kwaliteit. Inrichting is matig, verlichting niet goed over nagedacht.
