The "Hart van Texel" offers freshly cooked, refined, delicious, and flavorful food. You choose two or three courses, each with several dishes to choose from, always including vegetarian options. The menu is available online, so I won't write more about it now. I'll just say this: we were so impressed that we went there three times during our five-year stay 😀 Oh yes: the menu changes weekly. You can easily make reservations online. The building itself dates back to 1680, and the dining room is bright, high, and airy. The owners are super friendly; you immediately feel at home. I recommend everyone to eat there!

Last year we discovered this restaurant and this year we ate there again. It was very tasty again. The "box starter" is delicious but the coconut ice cream with spekkoek too. They also take our dog into account in terms of seating.

We arrived in Den Burg by bicycle. On the edge of the center we noticed this restaurant. Made a reservation for the evening via the site. When we arrived it was almost full. We had a fantastic meal. Good service that does its job professionally and radiates tranquility. The food was super tasty and presented with great imagination. (Recommended box with treats)

Culinary hit in the “Hart van Texel” A thoroughly successful evening! The Vitello Tonnato was a real highlight – delicate, finely balanced and simply delicious. The redfish in mustard-dill sauce is also a delight. The spinach soup still had some room for improvement, but the lamb was tender and perfectly prepared. The yoghurt foam at the end: light, fresh, wonderful. We would particularly like to emphasize the friendly, attentive service. A feel-good atmosphere that makes you want to see you again!

Five stars are definitely not enough for this restaurant! Whether this is due to the atmosphere, the decoration, the friendliness of the staff or the qualities of the chef: we had a delicious meal and enjoyed it. We will definitely come back again. We have been again in 2024. Nothing had changed. The special of that moment was Lamb Shoulder. That was great! Butter tender, meat fell off the bone.

What a fun and tasty discovery in the heart of Den Burg. A small card = quality! The box was a delicious surprise with island delicacies. We just scored the sausage ourselves at the butcher in Den Hoorn. The lamb shoulder was sublime, with delicious fries and salad. The dessert with gingerbread and pistachio ice cream was great. Recommended. Make a reservation to avoid disappointment 😇

We were there with our 1 year old son and had a great time. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess and immediately felt at home. Our son's food was heated up and when he did not like it very much, the hostess came on her own initiative with a tasty sandwich. Furthermore, we also had a delicious meal. Had a great evening!

The food was really good - but it clearly wasn't enough for 5 stars, the tendency was rounded up to four stars. The service was correct but not exceptionally attentive. The lamb shoulder and the lamb pot were very successful. The soup was thin, watery and bland; In my opinion an absolute outlier. The pistachio ice cream was very tasty, but the spray cream came from a can. The watery soup was mentioned to the waitress and she described it as normal for the restaurant, as the soups are not thickened because there are guests with gluten intolerance. Now let's leave the reason as it is, but it doesn't explain the watery and somewhat bland taste. Here you can eat well, except for the soup, but very good or even excellent is far from it.

Had a very nice meal at Hart van Texel tonight. We had our dog with us and we were given a nice place where no one bothered her. The starter "box of goodies" is highly recommended.

Good but expensive: for 2 people taking the menu with zucchini soup (too salty) and a large salad each, 3 Texel 25cl draft beers and two coffees: more than 80 euros it seems 30% more expensive than in Den Helder

Finally had dinner here last Saturday. And that was really delicious beyond expectations. I had already been told by people that it would be tasty, but you still want to experience it for yourself. Ate a three-course menu with a nice piece of lamb shoulder as the main dish. Super tender and very tasty. Plus a nice wine. They get all the wines from Wijnhuis Oosterend and you can taste it. The menu is not extensive, but what is on it is prepared wonderfully and the choice is varied enough and it also saves the 'choice stress' that you do not have to choose from 17 options. And I understand that the map is regularly updated. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What a really nice restaurant. Knowing that the two of them will arrange everything, this goes better than expected. You don't have to wait long, orders are remembered and the waiter is charming. There were six of us and a 2-year-old child. Everything was arranged for the child. He got toys, a small plate, tasty apple juice and a teddy bear that he can keep!! Food was all local and good quality. What's also nice is that you specify what you want to eat. As a result, the restaurant has no residual waste. Everything custom and fresh and you can taste it. If I really had to think of SOMETHING that could be "better". Personally I took the ribeye. I like a thicker steak myself. And this one was quite thin. (Still delicious) The overall experience was 10/10. Go here for a delicious meal with a group. Service is great and so is the knowledge (wines). Thanks for last night. The group of 6+1 (child) in the front. My wife and I (without child) Would love to come back someday.

We kwamen voorbij Hart van Texel, de eigenaars zaten buiten. Ze hadden de keuken al gesloten. Toen we vertelden dat er nog honger hadden, werden we zonder aarzelen bediend! De eigenaar heeft de keuken weer opgestart, de eigenaresse heeft ons meer dan perfekt bediend, dit stel heeft 6 sterren verdient, geen 5. Absolute aanrader!! Vriendelijk bedankt nog voor het lekkere eten en de extra service waarom we gevraagd hebben! De Heek was perfekt, het lamsvlees boterzacht, de wijn fantastisch🥰

Wat hebben we hier heerlijk gegeten! Maandelijks een andere menukaart. Vriendelijk en vakkundig personeel. Ik zeg: als je op Texel bent, moet je hier gewoon gaan eten. En de prijs is ook prima.

Heerlijk gegeten! Het is een leuk en knus restaurant waar de gastvrouw en gastheer gekozen hebben voor eenvoud. Een beperkte menu waardoor je er zeker van kan zijn dat de kwaliteit wat je te eten krijgt top is. De eigenaren zijn dit jaar (2023) gestart en hebben er een mooi plekje van gemaakt.
