Last year we had a delicious meal at Bij Kogerstaete. Now back on Texel and booked again. Requested a specific seat due to age and this was discreetly taken into account. Very friendly, enthusiastic and simply nice service. Delicious food, even the vegetarian in the group. Excellent wine. Beautiful and spacious seat in the conservatory. Good price/quality ratio. Parking in front of the door. We will definitely come back again.

The four of us had a great meal in a nice atmosphere. The Californian chardonnay was delicious!

Eating at hotel Kogerstaete is pure indulgence. An attractive place with excellent cuisine and pure products. Hospitality is of paramount importance here, we felt more than welcome. In short, highly recommended!

Made a reservation here last Friday because of all the good reviews and it was really great! We did not sleep at the hotel, but had a delicious dinner. A big 10, also for the staff.

Booked in advance via the internet, an excellent choice. We were kindly received and given a nice table in a cozy corner. Nicely decorated, a really pleasant atmosphere to eat here. Fast and friendly service with a good explanation of what can be ordered in addition to the menu. We received an appetizer from the chef, but unfortunately there was no alternative for my husband (allergies to cheese and milk products). As a starter we had smoked salmon on a bed of raw vegetables and with dollops of eel mousse, which was delicious. This is served with bread with herb butter. As a main course I had Texel lamb stew, which is highly recommended. Mildly spiced and delicious in taste. My husband had a tournedos with pepper sauce on a bed of vegetables. We got fries with a green salad. For dinner we had a bottle of still water and a Texdls beer and I had a red wine. If you want, they can advise you on which wine to pair with certain dishes. The coffee is delicious by the way. We didn't have dessert.

Excellent quality meal. Start with a fish trio with a particularly successful shrimp cocktail thanks to the house cocktail sauce. Also a nice lamb steak. A pleasant Tempranillo El Arte completed the meal. Friendly service. It is special that during the meal, after the starter, the table is wiped clean with a wet dishcloth (where else has that been?)...

Unfortunately, I was only able to eat at Kogerstaete twice during my stay on Texel. I have to say, the location, the staff and the food are simply in a different league. I have rarely had such courteous, friendly and professional service as here. The food is simply delicious and everything is freshly prepared with regional ingredients. Even I, as a Swiss, have to say that the meat fondue was amazing. On my next trip to Texel I will definitely eat here more than twice. See you soon and thank you for the culinary delight!

We had the perfect end to our holiday here yesterday. The food was excellent, we had the daily recommendations for the main course, the staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Despite the not so warm weather, we were allowed to sit on the terrace and a heater was turned on. We were more than satisfied and will definitely come back on our next vacation. Thanks again to the team for the wonderful evening.

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary here with parents and our toddler. They were thoughtful enough to decorate the table in advance with balloons and heart chocolates. We drank a very nice bottle of rosé, and all dishes were very tasty. The homemade mustard sauce with the meat dish of the day was really great. The best I've ever tasted. It's all a bit on the pricey side, but you get a good, high-quality meal for that. And the staff was also very attentive and nice.

This restaurant has found the perfect combination between high-quality, freshly prepared food and a casual, informal atmosphere. In addition to the delicious menu, they always have daily specials for even more choice and diversity. The food is superbly prepared and the choice of matching wines is enormous! The service is friendly, quick and happy to help you if you are stressed about making a choice. There is plenty on offer in De Koog, but if it were up to us, this restaurant is more than worth walking from the Dorpsstraat and joining us here. Reservations are recommended because this favorite spot is becoming increasingly popular! We have been there several times now but the quality and menu choice remain top-level!

Excellent dishes for a good price

I found the food very mediocre. The price-quality ratio was therefore incorrect. If I pay a decent price for my food, I expect better quality food. I found the bread I received very dry. Too bad, because the ambiance was otherwise good and the service was nice.

What wonderful, friendly service they have here. You immediately feel at home and are pampered with a smile. We ate the cheese fondue here and it is highly recommended. I've had cheese fondue before, but this one is in the top 2 of the tastiest.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Uns hat aber nicht gefallen, dass wir einen Tisch bekommen haben, an dem wir nebeneinander saßen und einer anderen Familie auf den Tisch geguckt haben.

Unser Besuch im Bij Kogerstaete war außerordentlich schön. Sehr liebevoll wurde meine Jacke abgenommen (anstatt lieblos über einen Stuhl zu hängen), das Ambiente war gepflegt und geschmackvoll und das Essen, trotz für Texel üblicher Preise, wirklich herausragend. Ein Missgeschick meiner Begleiterin brachte keinen Ärger ein, es wurde auch stattdessen sehr rührend um sie gekümmert. Der Calvados zum Digestif war gut, in der Nase jedoch deutlich überzeugender als am Gaumen. Ich empfehle einen Chateau du Breuil 15y. Die Musik ist poppig, wenigstens dezent. Jazz/Soul oder ähnliches könnte ich mir gut vorstellen (Spotify Playlist "Soul of a Bar"). Ich hoffe, dieses Lokal wird sich noch ewig halten können, denn es bietet einfach so viel mehr als die meisten anderen. Ich danke euch für diesen Abend, habt ihr doch sogar einen ehemaligen Gastronomen zum Staunen gebracht. Hartelijk dank!

Wij zijn inmiddels meerdere keren in dit geweldige restaurant geweest. Telkens werden wij hartelijk welkom geheten. Het diner, waar wij voor kwamen, was elke keer zeer goed. De gerechten werden mooi opgediend en voorzien van heerlijke bijgerechten. Dit is een restaurant dat zich in de Koog onderscheidt van de andere restaurants. Dus dit is echt een aanrader! Tot ziens, John en Thelma.

Heerlijk eten aan elk detail is gedacht muziek sfeer en top bediening. Zelfs bij de thee een chocolade lekkernij 💕

Eine gute Adresse auf Texel. Das Essen ist gut auch wenn es absolut solide und sich nichts besonderes ist. Der Service ist auch sehr gut und immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Empfehlungen oder Beratung gibt es nur auf Nachfrage. Das Ambiente ist etwas drüber (siehe Bild) aber stimmig. Definitiv eine Empfehlung

Heerlijk kaas en vleesfondue!!! Echt genoten met onze kids. Groenten, fruit, brood, sausjes en frietjes.... ruim voldoende, vriendelijk bediening, voortreffelijke wijnkaart. Kort om een bezoekje waard!

Wij hebben enkel lovende woorden voor de uitbaters en het personeel van dit hotel. Heel vriendelijk, behulpzaam en begripvol. Ondanks mijn vele intoleranties/allergieën werd ook voor mij steeds een heerlijk ontbijt voorzien. Het diner 's avonds was ook volledig aangepast, lekker en mooi gedresseerd. Ook op de kamer hebben wij geen opmerkingen. Bij een volgend bezoekje aan Texel kiezen wij terug voor dit hotel. Dankjewel!

Zeker een aanrader om te dineren wanneer je op Texel bent! Samen met mijn vriendin begon het diner met spicy gamba's, super lekker! Als hoofd had ik de tournedos en mijn vriendin het lamsbiefstuk. Erg verschillend, maar beiden o zo mals, heerlijk! Als toetje genoten we samen van de 'jutterparfait', een echt Texels dessert. Ook top! Al met al hadden we een top avond, ook mede door de erg vriendelijke bediening. Mocht je op Texel zijn, ga hier dan zeker langs om echt te genieten!
