There are many restaurants where you can eat well. There are fewer restaurants where you can eat exceptionally well, but there are only a few where you can eat exquisitely. BOSQ is one of them. Located in a place where you might not immediately expect it (right by the woods, in the middle of Texel), this atmospheric, high-quality restaurant is situated. They work with seasonal and regional products. Fresh and varied. The platter of various appetizers is highly recommended. What a taste sensation! A continuous assault on the taste buds, yet in such a way that you keep wondering how anyone can conceive and execute it. But the other dishes (including the North Sea crab and the short rib) were also of high class. Don't come here for a cheap quick bite, but take the time to truly savor delicious food.

We had a wonderful evening. You have to be open to the concept. It's either a multi-course set menu or à la carte. If you choose the latter, it's recommended to order two main courses. Why? Because they're relatively small; we each had a starter and a main course. Absolutely sufficient, and there was still room for dessert. If you're expecting all-you-can-eat, this isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for good food with excellent service, this is the place to be!

Had a truly amazing meal. We went for the Bosq Experience. No regrets. Six fantastic courses and delicious accompanying wines. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic restaurant Bosq is. I surprised my boyfriend with a 5-course dinner for his birthday. Friends of ours had recommended Bosq and our expectations were high. And yet, the team managed to exceed those expectations. We had an amazing meal and everything was perfect. Beautiful presentation, surprising flavor combinations, and just right portions. We were equally happy with every dish. We had a wonderful evening, thank you very much!

Very enthusiastic welcome. We opted for the four-course menu. We received a few extras with it: two amuse-bouches, bread with homemade butter, and a treat with the coffee. Excellent flavor combinations, beautifully presented plates, good wine recommendations. Attentive and friendly service. This restaurant is definitely worth the detour.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. What a fantastic discovery. From the outside, you would never suspect that you could eat so well here, but once inside, you are completely surprised. The dishes were exceptional, each and every one, with unique and surprising flavor combinations that were perfectly balanced. We really enjoyed our meal. Additionally, the staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain everything clearly and expertly, which made the experience even more pleasant. The parking facilities are also excellently arranged, which makes the visit extra convenient. All in all, a great experience. The only downside is that we only discovered this place at the end of our vacation; otherwise, we would certainly have come back here more often!

We went to BOSQ, owned by Robin, without any expectations. We had a fantastic evening here. The food was delicious, with a very extensive wine list. Robin recommended a unique bottle of Insomnia. The service was refreshing and fantastic; it truly made our evening :) When we return to the island, we will definitely be back!

A beautiful, bright, and elegant restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff are cheerful, clearly enjoy their work, and take their time with each guest. The food was excellent. It was nice to be able to try so many small dishes. I found the pumpkin particularly delicious.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Booked a table for two and didn't regret visiting. Food was excellent and the service was too. Appetizers (kroketjes, pan cristal, ...) were simple & great. For mains we can fully recommend the Entrecôte with duck liver (melts in your mouth) or the ravioli with black truffles... everything we ate was done in a creative way and you can tell it was cooked carefully. Several vegetarian options and they care for special request you may have. Service was attentive and super friendly, asking whether we had questions or allergies. They nailed the sweet spot for asking frequently but not being too annoying. Prices were rather near the upper end but still totally fine for good food with nice ambience. To sum it up: Worth not only one visit!

We had reserved a few weeks in advance to dine here on a Saturday evening with a fully vegetarian 6-course menu. What a superb choice. Whereas on Texel, as a vegetarian, you often find a limited number of (often very standard) options at many establishments, this was a breath of fresh air. Daily fresh ingredients, crafted into beautiful dishes. Full of flavor yet balanced, with sufficient nutritional value as well. The fine dining of the future is already a reality here, offering excellent value for money. 12 Gault&Millau points is really too low for this restaurant, which is also very stylishly decorated. With a crew that genuinely takes an interest in you but is never intrusive, this was our best dining experience during a long weekend getaway. Do yourself a favor and go eat here!

With (perhaps too) high expectations, we went to Bosq. We started with oysters, dumplings, and tuna tacos, which were all fine, but a bit bland in flavor. Just not quite right. For the main course, we had lamb, pulpo, and Iberico Secreto. These dishes were more flavorful, but we still found the kimchi and crispy potatoes a bit lacking. A shame. The service was very friendly and checked more than once to make sure everything was to our liking. We didn't comment on the food because tastes vary, but for us, something was definitely missing. We also found the main courses a bit meager for the price. Perhaps experiment with a bit more flavor... because the location and staff certainly weren't the problem.

A few days on Texel, and the first evening we enjoyed a lovely meal out... And we did! We had a choice of à la carte or a 4, 5, or 6-course menu. My wife chose the 4-course menu and I chose the 5-course menu because there was a course with sweetbreads, duck liver, and truffle that I couldn't resist... well, it was all really delicious, and the accompanying wines were also very well received. The staff was also very friendly and were able to explain everything clearly, including what was on our plates and in our glasses. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff who explain everything. The North Sea crabs were delicious, the lobster fritter was good. The Texan lamb from the BBQ was excellent; I almost wished for a double portion. I ordered a side salad with it, which was very pleasant. On the island, you're constantly offered fries, which I swapped for them. The cheesecake is an absolute hit; it has a slight whole-grain touch and a small lemon ice cream scoop hovers on top. The wines by the glass were all delicious, but I would have liked more selection.

Service was excellent. A warm welcome from the hostess. Lunch was personally recorded by the chef, who explained everything clearly and immediately adjusted the menu to our liking. A nice, not too extensive, wine list. A beautiful, rustic yet elegant restaurant. I will definitely return.

Lovely restaurant situated on the edge of the forest. We had chosen the 5-course dinner with matching wine arrangement. At the start we were spoiled with 2 amuses. They were refined, but for our taste, just like the first course, perhaps a bit too refined, the flavours were very subtle. After that, the dishes came in more and more and the matching wine too! Great flavours. Service extremely friendly and involved. In short, a top evening!

Last Friday we had a fantastic evening here. There is a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant and the dinner with matching wine arrangement was really delicious! Definitely recommended.

Yet again, to BosQ. And we are certainly not disappointed, on the contrary very surprised. If you want to try something not standard, but also not the most expensive restaurant on the island, I can absolutely recommend BosQ. Surprising dishes, very friendly and not pushy staff, in short, completely top. We will gladly come back here.

The recommendation of friends to dine at Bosq was excellent advice. Enjoyed an excellent 4-course menu and the recommended wines (Chardonnay Enate 234, Taoba a red Spanish wine). The service was very friendly and attentive. To finish, a great cup of coffee! We will definitely come back here if we visit Texel again.

The food (we chose 5- and 6-course menus) was excellent. The different flavors complemented each other perfectly, and the dishes were beautifully presented. We particularly enjoyed the slightly Asian touch (e.g., wasabi or daikon cress). The ambiance and service were also great. We particularly appreciated the attentiveness to our allergens/intolerances and the availability of a gluten-free version of the menu. We highly recommend this restaurant and would return if we're back on Texel. Truly fantastic, kudos!👌🏻

Bosq has a nice atmosphere and very nice staff. The food was tasty and was prepared and served with great care, but we thought it was quite expensive for the type of dishes we received. Everything tasted good but we were not blown away.

This place is trying a bit too hard but failing to nail the essentials. Basically every dish has some sort of foam/mousse. 2 of our dishes were overcooked, a shame!

Had a wonderful evening with great service and the food was excellent! The surprising taste sensations and delicious proposed white wine made our evening a real party. We will definitely come back!

Small setback. Price/quality ratio was wrong. In addition, it is recommended to order at least two to three dishes. Given the portion size, we certainly did not think this was necessary. Staff was friendly but sometimes a bit uncomfortable. Shame!

Very good, both service and food

We had dinner at 4. The restaurant was half full. We had aperitifs then our à la carte meals: starters to share and each a dish (turbot, half lobster, sea bass, etc.). An hour of waiting between our starters and the dishes. The additional dishes arrive even though we have not been cleared of our starter plates. A wait that is difficult to explain, especially for the result on the plate: micro portions (a prawn-sized lobster, and small starter plates, etc.), failed cooking with overcooked fish (too bad for turbot and bar 😔) for dishes at almost €30 per plate. A rather unsuccessful dinner and therefore expensive for the result. Obviously we avoided desserts so as not to leave with a certain wait. Other tables also seemed to be waiting... The waitresses a little absent to avoid having to try to explain the timing. The grades awarded are quite incomprehensible as the promised level is not there. Damage.

The lamb is magnificent! The restaurant truly pays homage to Texel’s iconic lamb meat. Everything is so fresh. You get what you pay for.

One thing first: Of course we took pictures, but since these do the smallest justice to what we were served here, I'll leave them out. We were given four types of Amus Gueule (appetite stimulant). I chose the 5-course surprise menu and when it came to wine, I followed the house's recommendation. I feel valued and extremely satisfied. The price was reasonable. Since it was my birthday I got another surprise.

BOSQ located on the edge of the forest, perfect location. We sat by the window, nice view. The service was very nice, helpful, good explanation. The food was perfect, delicious and beautifully varied amuses. Served sandwich...delicious with black olive tapenade...oil and garlic butter. We had a 6 course menu... each one was prepared with care! I think the ambiance is a bit old-fashioned...but the music was perfect. Price quality... top 🤓

We unexpectedly had a delicious meal at Bosq! A weekend away from the crazy world for just the two of you and be gastronomically spoiled at Bosq. The caneles de Bordeaux are better at Bosq than in France! And if you compliment them, you get another one! What a passion for the profession and the service is fantastic. We would love to come back

As enthusiastic gourmets with a preference for fine dinning and Michelin restaurants, we unfortunately have to conclude that our visit to restaurant BOSQ on Texel was a significant disappointment. The flavors of the current menu were clearly not balanced. Both the cauliflower and the scallops were very disappointing. The cauliflower had an unpleasant taste of frying fat, and the scallops lacked the desired taste experience. The duck liver toast was of mediocre quality, and even a vegetable bitterball left a lot to be desired. Although the hamachi was very tasty, this was the only positive aspect of the experience. Overall, our experience was very disappointing.

Echt lekker eten. Zeker een aanrader! De locatie alleen is al super. Gelegen aan de rand van de weilanden en bos. Er is parkeergelegenheid voldoende. Reserveren is wel noodzakelijk als je niet mis wil grijpen. De bediening is super. Het eten waanzinnig. Veel aandacht wordt er aan besteed.

Zeer matig eten. Daarnaast serieus zeer kleine porties voor bizarre prijzen van 17-22 per gang. Website biedt andere verrassingsmenu aan die in restaurant zelf niet aangeboden worden. We vonden het zeer overtrokken. Bediening was ok. Nieuwe ober die nog beetje nerveus was, maar iedereen moet kans krijgen dus heeft geen rol gespeeld in beoordeling. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Uitmuntend gelunched, fantastisch concept waarbij je heerlijk meerdere gerechtjes van uitstekend niveau kunt kiezen, service uitermate vriendelijk en correct, diner is vaak volgereservwerd dus wil je een keer de experience meemaken kom dan lunchen!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend im Bosq. Das Essen war sehr gut, die Weinauswahl prima. Eine super entspannte Atmosphäre. Personal und Chef/Chefin super freundlich, kompetent und sympathisch. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder!

Heerlijk dineren in een ongedwongen informele sfeer. Wij hebben gekozen voor de a la cart kaart met een ruime keuze kleine gerechten, super lekker wijntje en voldoende water. Voor iedereen die het nog niet kent “aanrader” 😉

Es ist natürlich Geschmackssache aber von den vier Gängen haben mir zwei nicht geschmeckt. Die Lebensmittel waren hochwertig aber einfach nicht schmackhaft zusammen gestellt. Geschmackssache eben.

Super fijne ervaring gehad bij Bosq. Je moet wel even reserveren anders loop je het risico geen plek te hebben (alleen maar een goed teken). Het gerechtje met krab en flan van sushirijst vond ik het lekkerst. Ik heb eigenlijk weinig kritische punten. Hooguit wat puntjes op de i, maar dat maakte mijn ervaring niet minder. Het is een avondje uit dat in je herinnering blijft zitten. Als we ooit weer naar Texel afreizen boek ik meteen weer een tafeltje!

Ich esse sehr gerne ausgefallen und liebe Überraschungen. Meine Empfehlung ist deshalb auf jeden Fall das Menü, bei man zwar zwischen 4 und 6 Gängen wählen kann, aber nicht weiß, was man bekommt. Bei unseren 5 Gängen war jeder einzelne ausgefallen und ausgezeichnet; fürs Auge und für den Gaumen. Auch die passenden Weine waren ungewöhnlich aber ausgezeichnet. Auf jeden Fall nochmal ins BOSQ

Het eten is boven gemiddeld en het personeel is erg vriendelijk. We hebben niet gekozen voor het verrassingsmenu, maar voor de losse gerechten. BOSQ werkt niet met traditioneel voor- en hoofdgerecht, maar met kleinere losse gerechten. Op advies van personeel gekozen voor 3 gerechtjes. Op zich leuk concept, maar na ruim 2 uur hadden we slechts 2 gerechtjes gekregen en dit was echt te lang. Hoewel er al geruime tijd lege glazen stonden, werd niet gevraagd of we nog wat wilden drinken. Het restaurant zat zeker niet vol en er was voldoende personeel, dus voor ons een groot vraagteken waarom het allemaal zo lang moest duren.

We had the best meal of our 46 years of marriage here. Hard to image any meal could top this restaurant.
