Had a delicious meal yesterday. The service was super friendly and fast. The tenderloin was incredibly tasty, highly recommended! The only downside was that the tables were very close together, so you have little privacy.

We had dinner at El Fuego during our stay in Valkenburg, and it was a phenomenal experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and clearly prepared with great care. Everything we ordered tasted fantastic. The service was excellent as well friendly, attentive and professional and the atmosphere made the whole evening even more enjoyable. It’s a lovely place to have a relaxed dinner together. The prices are also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the overall experience. You really feel that you’re getting good value for your money. We left extremely satisfied and would definitely return next time we are in Valkenburg. Highly recommended!

We (as a couple) consider El Fuego one of the coziest restaurants in Valkenburg; the staff there are very friendly. You can enjoy a lovely drink and a bite to eat on the terrace. And if it gets full outside, you can always enjoy yourself inside, with South American music playing in the background. We also come here regularly with the airsoft team after a day out, and we usually come with a large group, which fortunately is never a problem; we are usually very happy with that!

Highly recommended! We hadn't eaten by 9:30 PM and fortunately were still able to get a table here. The spare ribs with sweet sauce are delicious and the service was quick. The terrace is also a very pleasant place to sit in the evening.

It was great there. I'd only give the ambiance 4 stars, unfortunately, because the tables are a bit too low for comfortable eating. Slightly higher tables and it would have been perfect. A tip for anyone who likes spare ribs: go on Fridays. They have all-you-can-eat spare ribs for €25 per person.

The terrace is cozy, but the food is very disappointing. The satay is served on a dirty wooden board and therefore gets cold quickly, and the fish stew... well, all you taste is sauce with a few pieces of fish in it. It's a shame about the overpowering sauce; this could really be better. This is really food for the tourist who won't come back anyway. What a pity.

The best beef salad ever! All the meals are delicious from nachos to the cooked carrots. We always eat here whenever we stop in Valkenburg. Staff are great too.

We had a great meal and the service was nice. We were able to share a large portion of spare ribs because neither of us are big eaters.

We had dinner there in the lovely inner garden. We had burgers, which were good. And the ribeye steak, which unfortunately was a disaster, was bloody instead of medium and riddled with fibers and tendons.

Had a delicious meal, super cozy terrace. I had a medium steak and it was perfect, tasty real fries. Good portions, definitely recommended! And the service is very friendly.. And for people with back problems, they have lovely chair cushions 👌

Perhaps we were unlucky with the service, but that alone made us leave quickly. The tall, slender lady with the ponytail is truly unworthy of service. Unfriendly, avoiding eye contact with the guest, and slamming a drink down on the table. We went to eat elsewhere.

We had a bite to eat here last night. The fries and the spareribs were cold… the taste of the spareribs was otherwise good and we had a nice spot. Service was mediocre… we wanted the dessert menu but it took so long that we just paid. We got the impression that they were happy our table became available because a large group wanted to come.

Beautiful location for enjoying the weather and vibes of the quaint town of Valkenburg! The staff is super friendly and the food and drinks were good in general! We were just taken aback to by the feathers still embedded in the chicken wings. 😬

June 2026: As we were a long time ago in Valkenburgh, we went for a visit & stroll through some idealistic pathways. There was a biker rally & a few stands with bicycle parts & bikes for sell. After having an icecream, it started to rain so we went to a covered terrace @El Fuego, to order coffee & cappuccino. Price was manageable €6.90 for both. Service was quick & friendly. Bathroom was clean, but for those who are less mobile, it's on the first floor & only available by stairs.

I don't complain easily, but the food was just bad. Everything was cold, and the ribeye seemed to come straight from the fridge and wasn't prepared properly. That's why I didn't finish eating it.

We had an unexpected dinner here last Saturday. The restaurant is very beautifully and cozily decorated. The terrace is covered and heated. We sat very comfortably on the terrace. The staff service was good. We were allowed to decide when we wanted our main course served, after our starter. There was absolutely no feeling of being rushed. The dishes were wonderfully tender and a good size. Really tasty. If you order extra side dishes, you get a good full platter. It was all worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

This is a great restaurants for families or large groups, good food and good value for money. The tapas wasn't the most Spanish I have had but was tasty, varied and plentiful. The side of calamari was huge and well cooked. The schnitzel was good with very nice vegetable selection. The wine was good quality and a fair price. Our two servers Victor and Greggor were welcoming, attentive and well informed. A happy experience for me and the family

The lady who served us was not friendly. We had some questions about the dishes and she clearly didn't feel like answering them. The chicken satay had many burnt pieces, and the small bowl of fries for two people was meager. Yes, we could order more if we wanted. We saw the prices of the side dishes on the menu, including the fries. There was no clarity as to whether this would be charged extra. For us, it was a matter of eating and getting out of there quickly!

We were in Valkenburg for the first time and had excellent drinks and food at El Fuego! They contributed to making our weekend away wonderful! Beautiful outdoor terrace, good service, tasty food, good price; in short, highly recommended!

The atmosphere was great and the service is super friendly. The price/quality ratio is also great; the burger is really big and super tasty, and the spareribs are wonderfully tender and fall right off the bone. The sweet marinade is delicious, and the spicy marinade is truly spicy. On Fridays, the unlimited spareribs really are UNLIMITED; my girlfriend and I ordered at least 3 extra portions without paying!

A very cozy Argentinian restaurant with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. I ordered a ribeye, which was excellent and arrived quickly. Definitely recommended for dining in Valkenburg.

My partner and I had the burger. It was very well-made and the meat was delicious. The food arrived very quickly, and the service was good, fast, and professional. One star was dropped because the bread board arrived within two minutes of ordering, and the bread was ice cold. It should have been served warm and served a bit longer.

I don't often bother writing a review, but the food was truly delicious. And the atmosphere was lovely.

The service was great. That's about it, though. We ordered spare ribs with fries. The fries were rock hard, and the spare ribs weren't good either. They weren't tender, and there was a lot of meat coming off the bone, which isn't what you'd expect. The best thing about the dish was the coleslaw. So, to sum it up, it wasn't good value for money.

We ate here with the family to round off our two days in Valkenburg. It was delicious and definitely worth the price. I had the Chicken Satay, and we also had the Scampi Pasta, Spareribs, and Schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce. The pasta is definitely recommended, nice and creamy and not spicy (we were hesitant because it came with garlic-chili cream sauce, but it was delicious). I think it could have done with a bit more salad or vegetables.

We ate at a truly horribly busy time, the weekend before Christmas with the Christmas parade. And I can only say: hats off! What incredibly friendly service, very attentive to allergies, and then there was also good food and fast service despite the crowd! Definitely recommended!

The food was fine, but we came for the authentic tapas, as advertised online. Unfortunately, it wasn't available due to the current season. The other food we could choose from was fine, nothing special, and it's just a simple à la carte restaurant. The service wasn't great tonight. It might have been a snapshot, but we were there today :-) The atmosphere is good, the decoration is good.

Excellent value for money in Valkenburg city center. I chose the set menu, and it was simply delicious. Delicious carpaccio and a generous, tender steak. We highly recommend it.

Enjoy delicious food and people-watch in Valkenburg's most charming street. The food was excellent. The choice of steak sizes is also convenient for big eaters.

Interesting place compared to others in the same area. The food is definitely tasty. I like the place and we go often. The staff is friendly. However, you have to wait too long for your meal and it is a bit expensive. It is one of the nice ones in the main and turistic street. The burger does not taste as butter only but like a good meat. The same goes for the tapas shared dish. Tasty and well cooked. All in all, we enjoy. If you go inside the restaurant they have two areas: one is too dark for my taste and the other is better.

Steakhouse with a clear menu. (Large letters so no glasses needed. Great!) (Young) service is quite businesslike: questions and answers. No more, no less. That's a shame. Interior atmosphere is warm, with various bull heads on the wall. Food is price-quality fine. My pork tenderloin satay was tender, and the quantity sufficient for 17 euros. Prawn crackers, fried onions, bowl of peanut sauce (very nice: not over it!) and mayonnaise. The fries are served (for several people) in one bowl, but the pork tenderloin is on a relatively small straight wooden board... Perhaps an extra plate or another shape board (round) would be better.
