Great Mexican food and service. Restaurant was able to cater to my son's food allergies and he enjoyed his meal. Ours were lovely too especially the toetilla chips. We sat inside and near the window and the fairy lights and Mexican decoration created a nice ambience.

I have found this restaurant one rainy afternoon about 4 years ago. I became a regular. The host is always gracious, happy and kind. The food is tasty and portions are generous. The tomato salad is absolutely superb!

The evening in the restaurant actually started off very well… The host was very friendly, created a good atmosphere and we laughed a lot. He gave us all sorts of things on the house, which we didn’t think about, because our group was almost the only one in the restaurant and he seemed very happy that we were there. He also often asked if everything was okay. But the next day everything became clear… Three of us got food poisoning and the school trip was over for us. Vomiting, fever, headache, nausea, dizziness, chills. We suspect that it was due to rotten meat in the tacos and that there were dangerous conditions and a lack of hygiene in the kitchen. Apparently friendliness is not always enough, because this was really a disaster – we will never visit this restaurant again. Deutsch: Der Abend im Restaurant war zunächst wirklich sehr gut… Der Gastgeber war richtig nett, hat gute Mimmung gemacht und wir haben alle viel gelacht . There were only a few things in the house, we were not able to think about them, there was a whole group of people who were in the restaurant and there was also a lot of experience with it, that was the case. Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with everything. But tomorrow we will have everything ready… We will be able to enjoy a lifetime gift and the class life we ​​enjoy. Would give it a 10 for atmosphere if I could. The waiter was amazing and very friendly! The food was amazing and they were very hospitable. They gave us free ice creams and he even applauded me and shook my hand for trying to speak Spanish which is not my native language 100% would go there again and the sombrero pictures were very nice. The owner's Spanish-speaking service, as the reviews say, is exceptional, but I regret to warn you that the food is very, very, very average, to be honest. I've been to no fewer than 20 Mexican restaurants (not chains) in Spain, and El Vino is without a doubt the worst in terms of quality. Furthermore, the place doesn't look like a Mexican restaurant; it could be any kind of place. No decor at all.

I like this place especially if you love spicy food.

It seems that 5 stars are not enough because the rating depends not only on the taste but also on the great atmosphere created by the owners. Very inconspicuous from the outside, inside there are 5 or 6 tables for 4 people. Cards and place settings are given when you sit down at the table. The menu was well explained in English and the drinks were served very efficiently. I started with the goulash soup, which was actually hot and tasty with lots of meat. Right after the soup, dips and side dishes landed on the table, followed by second courses. All 4 looked very good and were huge portions. Most importantly, apart from their appearance, they also tasted great! The friendly staff took photos of us tourists in sombreros, and at the end we got the lowest bill we had ever paid in an Amsterdam restaurant. If you are hungry, want to eat well, a lot and cheaply, you have to visit here. I recommend hot sauce :)

the waiter, who we think was probably the owner, was very charismatic. it was just him serving the whole (albeit small) restaurant, which did make the service a little slow at times but that was made up for by the charm. it felt like a happy place to be and when the table next to us celebrated a birthday it felt like we were part of their party almost. the food was great too, i had enchiladas and my partner had fajitas and between us we had absolutely plenty of all the components. also i discovered that blackcurrant fanta (cassis) is great so i recommend that

Went for dinner the other night after a long day of travel from the UK, so needless to say, we were quite tired and hungry. Unfortunately one of our starters came cold- this was chicken too, which is not what you want. Strangely, it was meant to be Argentinian grilled chicken but came as deep fried chicken. (They didn't charge for this in the end, as it was sent back- we didn't want a replacement dish after that.) The other starters; Greek salad and chorizo were alright but not amazing. Another table of around 8 people came in after us and were served before us. We ended up waiting an hour for our mains. When the mains came, the veg burrito came with mince, so also had to be sent back. When it did arrive it was a good dish. The chicken Fajita, was OK but didn't have any impactful flavour. The fried corn tortillas with chicken filling were good. The owner was really apologetic at the end and gave us free drinks but it wasn't enough to make up for the poor service and food: 3/10.

Los Nachos eran agradables pero los platos principales no eran nada especial y la textura los hacía parecer que habían sido cocinados en microondas. No hay diferencia real entre el burrito y las enchiladas que eran bastante insípidas. Definitivamente no volvería o recomendaría tal lástima ya que el restaurante estaba ocupado, así que teníamos grandes expectativas.

What an amazing place. And the customer service is out of this world. I was sick and they made me 2 Cups of ginger mint tea and gave me medicine for my cold with no charge. If you go here your stomach and heart is going to my soo happy. The food is excellent and the service is from heart.

We ordered nachos, chicken quesadilla, steak and chicken tacos. It was a mediocre place that did not deserve the score it received in terms of taste, but unfortunately we had serious stomach/intestinal problems afterwards. Also, this is the first time in my life that I've seen normal (shared?) towels in a restaurant? It was a detail that gave enough insight about the cleanliness of the kitchen.

The guy who owns the restaurant is incredibly cool... Incredibly nice, and not even expensive. For two, with a starter and two drinks plus a main course: under €50, which is totally okay for Amsterdam. And it's delicious and quick, too! We'll definitely be back! Thank you so much 🍀💚

We stopped by by chance because we like Mexicans and we couldn't be more happy. Good food and very good humor from the person who served us, laughter and good treatment.

We stumbled upon El Vino and I am so glad we did. The atmosphere was great, and the service was impeccable. The host was so fun and made us giggle. The food was amazing and everything was so reasonably priced. The drinks were incredible and again, such a good price. They had lots of options for vegetarians and also could accommodate vegans too. I'd highly recommend! We were lucky in getting a table, but I would book a table if possible as the place is quite small.

Het eten, taco's als voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht een buritto met kip en que (nog iets) met vlees was boven verwachting goed en lekker. Normaal gesproken eten wij niet in straten waar heel veel restaurants zitten, maar door een cadeau van een vriendin zijn wij hier terecht gekomen en het eten was echt lekker en de bediening erg vriendelijk.

They have treated us great, super friendly and attentive at all times. Something that we loved is that they took into account the amount of food we ordered and even advised us not to order more, something that is greatly appreciated. Furthermore, the waiting time has been minimal, they have served us very quickly. In short, a place to which we will undoubtedly return. Super recommended!
