Pros: friendly staff, amazing atmosphere, beef and bean taco was nice, nice cocktails Cons: I found the food quite bland, the salsa and guac had little to no flavour, everything was so lightly salted. I ordered the ribeye as my main and all I could taste was oil, the potatoes were nice but the Chimichurri sauce did not help, it was literally just oil with some parsley in it. I also order the Mexican iced tea mocktail which was 1/4 drink and 3/4 ice, I’m not sure how a drink could be bland but there were no hints of tea, it just tastes like water with some simple syrup (and it was €9:.50). My friend had the same opinion about the food, it didn’t taste terrible, just really average and lacked flavour. The worst part was the stomach pain I got after, I’m not sure if it’s just my stomach but is it just a coincidence if one of the other friends was throwing up and having diarrhoea in the middle of the night? Overall: I would recommend this place for drinks, it had an amazing vibe and atmosphere, friendly staff, the restaurant was really clean, I wouldn’t go here if you’re looking for a culinary experience.

Had a really lovely dinner here in the centre of Amsterdam. All the tacos were good, but the pork tacos especially so. The Mexican tartare was divine. Highly recommend. The atmosphere was great, and the service prompt. I will surely be back soon

Absolutely top-notch! The food is excellent. We sat at "Open Kitchen" and it was truly amazing! They're clean, fast, and run like clockwork. We thoroughly enjoyed their dishes and tapas. I highly recommend it! See you soon, I hope!

Delicious tacos and great vibe.

We ate Calamari as a starter. Then Rib Eye steak as a main. The main issue was the price-performance ratio. While the food quality was decent, the prices felt too high for what was offered, especially considering the portion sizes and overall experience. In addition, the visit felt very rushed. Everything had to move quickly, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. The seating area was also extremely cramped, with very little space between tables, making it uncomfortable and quite noisy. Overall, Fiona serves good food, but the tight seating, rushed atmosphere, and high prices significantly reduced the enjoyment. I would only recommend it if you do not mind a fast-paced and crowded dining environment.

Very average food - Cheese quesadilla was not good, Chicken taco was ok and beef taco was very good! I had churros for dessert and I did not like it. Service was very friendly

We both ate tacos. The meat options were really good and filling. The only vegetarian option (beans) was not good. It just tasted like beans on a taco with a little cheese but no further spices. The service was amazing :) Overall relatively expensive.

Food was good. Nothing bad to say about it. Very unfortunate that the girl serving the tables was so unfriendly. I never experienced anything like it before. So rude, unfriendly and entitled. And for no apparent reason.

Our second time coming to Fiona’s, the first being last year. And again it was brilliant, staff so friendly, cocktails (mojitos) were so good and the food is great. Music and vibes 10/10. Can’t wait to visit again when in Amsterdam 🥰

Dissapointing experience. Came here after another review said all tacos are gluten free. They could only offer seafood or the vegetable option gluten free. I opted for the vege option of beans and vegan cheese however the vegan cheese wasn't gluten free. This meant they were only going to serve tortilla and beans, super dissapointing as for the price i would hope the chef could be a little more creative for us gluten free folk! I asked what else they could add as beans and tortilla isn't really a satisfactory meal. They were able to add normal cheese. Once it came out the tortillas and beans were both cold so the cheese didnt even melt on top. Honestly, can't reccomend this place. Other meals at the table were just ok. For the price, its not worth it.

The tacos are good, could be better balanced but that might be just my preference. They play very loud kinda weird bouncy music. The servers were very nice and welcoming.

There were four of us eating together. I explained at the beginning that I have celiac disease and therefore have to eat strictly gluten free. The waiter was then able to check with the chef which dishes were safe for me to eat. There was a large selection and the food was delicious. I had no symptoms afterwards. A great evening with friends.

It was perfect, the vibes, the food, the music, the staff. Must try their tacos and the Mexican Tartare that's THE BEST THING. For the desserts, their spicy mango cheesecake is very interesting I would say. It was served warm btw. All in all, love it. Defo will be back.

The food and cocktails were very good! Unfortunately, the bar was unpleasant because two Italian guys were shouting to each other from a distance, which bothered those of us at the bar. They also changed the music every two minutes, making it impossible to enjoy any playlist. It would also be good to clarify that the two-for-one cocktail offer is only valid at the bar, not inside.

The entire staff was friendly, and the waiter who served us was very attentive. The food is very good. We ordered pork tacos (phenomenal), octopus (very good, well-stuffed octopus, but nothing amazing), and tuna tacos (very good quality, but again, nothing amazing). We also ordered chicken quesadillas to share, which were fantastic!!! We ordered them again!! We also ordered the grilled avocado, which was superb! Really good! For dessert, lava chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream… 🤤 (I love chocolate, so I'm biased). We paired it with Spanish Baroja Crianza wine. In short: We loved it!! And we highly recommend it!

The margarita was great but besides that very poor mexican kitchen. waiting time for the food was over than 1 hour, some dishes did not arrived so we had to leave also not so full.

Don’t look at the timings, they close whenever they want. When ask why the timings is not followed, they said “it was quiet so we closed, you can go and eat burgers on the street”.. so rude and unprofessional.

A very cosy little Mexican restaurant. Staff were lovely and managed to squeeze us in without a reservation. Food was very tasty - although the portions are only small. I see the owner has replied to some comments saying that they are a Mexican tapas restaurant, although this isn’t made obvious on the menu, so you may be better off getting a few small plates and sharing!

From when we sat down we waited 45 mins before anybody came up to us to take an order. 74 euro for 2 cocktails 2 tacos and chicken wings serving size is tiny and not worth the price tag at all

Me and my friend found this spot on a cozy afternoon. The food and service was great, the waiters were very attentive and the music made the vibe feel groovy. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat in the city.

The atmosphere is incredible, and I found the waitress to be very attentive, even though we had a reservation and had to wait 15 minutes even though there weren't many customers. The dishes were quite interesting and good, although we ate two plates, leaving us hungry. I would highlight how well the different flavors in the dishes and drinks (spicy, savory, and sweet) are combined, but the food is in small portions.

The food is very tasteful, there are vegan options and the service is very helpful in finding more meals to get vegan. All in all the service was very kind and even though there were many guests we didn't wait long for anything. Amazing cocktails as well :)

Me and my friend went to eat here on a whim as we were looking for a place to have dinner, and both immediately fell in love with the amazing atmosphere and food. It has a very cozy and warm feel to it. I fully recommend this place, and when I return to Amsterdam I'll definitely keep this in mind.

We went in februari this year for my friend’s birthday and we ordered cheesecake, which was arguably one of the best we had ever eaten. It was freshly made and very tasty. Not too sweet, what i LOVED. We went again in august especially for their cheesecake, but it was a let down. It was cold and not sweet at all.

Came back to have dinner with friends, was impressed by the great food and cocktails, but was beyond disappointed when I was met with “we don’t have tap water” from the waitress, which is unacceptable and illegal to deny water at any place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, or Europe. It’s really not cool to not offer something so basic and vital to customers, just so you can overcharge them with bottled water. There should be choice, and one shouldn’t deny the other. So while the food, drinks, and service were great, I need to lower my rating for this very reason, and I hope it encourages them to have a more human-friendly and legal policy.

Wow, was an amazing experience. We walked in spontaneously and had a great lunch. Tacos were fantastic especially the pork tacos- very recommended.

Good quality Mexican food very centrally located. I ordered the tuna ceviche and my friend had the calamari as appetisers, both of which were tasty. Good portion sizes considering they were starters. For the main meal we opted for three soft tacos each instead of a main dish. I had the tuna, pork and chicken, all of which were tasty, well laden tacos and nicely presented. And the Margaritas were on the strong side but very good! I’d best describe the atmosphere as a bit rustic and lively. My only negative was that when we gave them our name at the entrance, they told us upfront that they only accepted cards as payment. Since that’s the norm in the Netherlands that didn’t come as a surprise. But if that is their policy I think they should state that at the time of booking to set their diners’ expectations.

Lisa was an absolute god send!! In a new country I’ve never felt so comfortable and welcomed. I’m staying at this hostel and Fiona (the restaurant) was the vibe I needed!! I couldn’t recommend this hostel / restaurant more to anyone!! Right in the heart of Amsterdam 4 minute walk from central station! Can’t wait to come back and visit (see you soon Lisa 😘)

We had an amazing time with Lisa! The tacos especially the tuna one are delicious. Also if you love mezcal and smokey drinks try the smokey passion which is not too sweet and tasty 😊
