The food was very good, however it was really pricy for the portion sizes. We spent €75 on lunch and both left hungry. The staff are friendly, and it was a great atmosphere. I just wish it had been cheaper!

The restaurant smelled like a cigarette pack full of marijuana roaches and bong water. I sat down anyway to eat. The restaurant was empty but I could only sit in the assigned seat. The servants had a superiority complex and were rude. I couldn't relax, I canceled the food order and left to never return.

Wonderful staff and great food. We enjoyed all the dishes. Yes, we considered some of the portions small, but we roamed around Amsterdam afterwards all day and we didn’t get hungry!!! So it was actually a really good, balanced and protein-filled lunch!!

My husband and I came here for dinner to celebrate Father’s Day on June 15th, 2025. The food was excellent—wonderfully seasoned, though I did miss a bit of spiciness. Perhaps it was toned down for a broader audience. 😁 Regardless, the meal was absolutely delicious, and our server was incredibly kind. The ambiance was amazing. We loved the music. We will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere. Friendly service. Food taste/price/performance not recommended. A lot of money for very little food. We had octopus, tacos, and a quesadilla. The octopus was good, as were the tacos. The quesadilla with pulled chicken, unfortunately, was not. The portions are very small, and there's no side dish. Not recommended.

The Mexican tartare is a must! We ate delicious food! Plus, the churros, tuna, and octopus were delicious! We're Mexican and we really enjoyed this meal! 100% recommended!

I had huge expectations for this place and was looking forward to mexican cuisine but as a vegetarian i was pretty let down. The vegetarian tacos were lacklustre, there’s a lot of options for mexican inspired veggie tacos but this seems like a second thought. The baked potato with sour cream was huge and very plain. Maybe it would’ve been fine alongside a tastier main course. The servers were attentive but the wait for food was a little long. The volume of the music also varied throughout the night, kind of distracting and it was hard to talk sometimes.

We spontaneously went to eat here. The service was excellent and very friendly! The food (raw tuna taco) was very good. Especially the quality of the tuna.

German: Unfortunately a disappointment. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice, but that was the best part of the visit. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either - very small portions at completely exorbitant prices. Price-performance absolutely inadequate. The staff was unmotivated and unfriendly. Particularly bold: There was already a service fee on the bill, but an attempt was made to secretly enter a higher amount on the card payment machine than was charged. Absolutely dubious and not recommended. There's just nothing right here - neither the service, nor the food, nor the price feeling. --- English: Unfortunately disappointing. The restaurant's atmosphere is really beautiful, but that's the best thing we can say about our visit. The food wasn’t bad, but definitely not good either – tiny portions for completely overpriced rates. Value for money is absolutely unacceptable. The staff was unmotivated and unfriendly. Worst of all: although the bill already included a service charge, they tried to secretly enter a higher amount on the card terminal than stated on the bill. Absolutely unacceptable and not trustworthy. Definitely not recommended – neither for the service, nor the food, nor the prices.

Very good restaurant to taste Mexican food in Amsterdam. Highlight the service provided by the entire restaurant team and in particular by Alberto, a great guy, affable and very professional who gave us very good recommendations. A recommendable place to which we will return.

The restaurant is very aesthetic, the staff is more than friendly and the cuisine is delicious. The dishes are excellent, the meat melts in the mouth and each flavor goes perfectly well together.

Somos grandes fans de la comida mexicana, así que probamos Fiona en un jueves por la noche. Lugar ocupado y acogedor (reserva con antelación para evitar la decepción). El menú es agradable y con un montón de opciones. Los tacos (todos ellos) deliciosos. El atún genial y la quesadilla muy deliciosa. Gran selección de vinos y cócteles. Ambiente agradable y música a un nivel razonable. El servicio fue muy divertido y atento. Una cosa - y eso vale para cada restaurante - servir agua del grifo si se solicita. No significa que tenga que ser gratuita, pero en un país con el agua más pura del mundo, una necesidad en mi opinión. ¡Además hazlo! Recomiendo encarecidamente en una de mis calles favoritas de Amsterdam.

Very good atmosphere and very attentive and friendly service. They speak several languages. We ordered some cocktails and something to snack on and they recommended very good options to us. The music on the site is also very successful.

This is not Mexican food. Salsa comes from a bag and is more of a bad sauce than salsa. Tortillas were so hard that cutting was difficult. The nachos chips were ready from the bag. Plus, it was one of the better bags. The guacomole wasn't bad, but it also came from a jar. The music was way too loud. Service was friendly but did not respond when we indicated that it was not tasty. If you like loud music and food from a jar, it is definitely recommended. If you go for authentic Mexican food, definitely don't go here. Posting a standard response that you do something with feedback is unnecessary and insulting to the people who leave reviews.

Very excited to come, big fan of Mexican food, very disappointed in the end. For what you get, the food is insanely overpriced, we went on “taco Tuesday”, ordered sides, and still left hungry. The cocktails were also unbelievably sugary and very weak. I cannot express how cheated out of money we felt by the end. While the service was okay, and the decor was okay, the constant passing hotel guests made it all feel a bit of an afterthought. The high chair seating was also quite cold. We picked this restaurant based on reviews and it was severely underwhelming. Felt the need to share a bit more of an honest response. Not awful, but certainly not very good.

While I stayed in the hostel upstairs, the bar in Fiona was the natural choice for my first night, but the experience was so good and the cocktails so tasty I couldn't help but end every day there! My personal favourite of a negroni was only improved by their twist of using mezcal, many thanks to my bartender Adri who made great drinks and had the best service I've experienced at a bar, very attentive unbelievably knowledgeable on all drinks served, I was always met with a smile and a very warm welcome, the conversation and atmosphere at the bar helped make my first solo travel experience a great one! After chatting to much of the staff throughout my time here they were all incredibly friendly and gave great service to everyone who walked in! I didn't eat here as it's not typically my cuisine of choice but everyone who I spoke to only had positive things to say, plus the food looked and smelled amazing. A great place to come in Amsterdam just for the service and atmosphere alone!

Paid 66 euros for one of the worst meals on this trip. 28 euros for chicken with 5 tortillas chips on the side. The chicken had nearly all its bones still in.

We found Fiona’s restaurant to be a cosy, beautifully styled restaurant with great atmosphere and lovely staff. We arrived with no reservations and were seated at the bar, Opting for a frozen mango margarita (yummy btw) while the staff cleared us a table. We both enjoyed the buzzing atmosphere and great tastes we got to enjoy and discover. The only disappointment was… The portion sizes. I feel we left hungry despite the steep prices of the food & drink. Expensive even for Amsterdam :( Really the only reason I would rate Fiona’s 4/5 starts.

Worst tacos i’ve ever had. Beef not cooked well, cheap meat, very fatty and cold. Consistency of tinned dog meat. Seems like it’s been this way for years reading other reviews. Very expensive. €6 for the water, €13 for two small tacos. Avoid.

Great experience! The food was delicious and well presented. The servers were all very friendly and the prices were affordable with a wide choice on the menu. The music and the decoration put us in a warm atmosphere. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Amsterdam.

Not worth the visit. We were searching for a restaurant that serves tacos, and after some searching, this spot came highly recommended. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the hype. The interior is undeniably pretty, with a stylish and inviting atmosphere, but that’s about where the positives end. To start, when we sat down, we were "offered" water before placing our order. We later found out it was charged to our bill without any mention, which felt a bit sneaky. While it wasn’t a huge deal for us, it’s something to be aware of. The menu itself was quite limited, with combinations we weren’t familiar with, but we decided to give it a try anyway. I ordered the Pollo à Verde, and my boyfriend got a quesadilla. When my dish arrived, it looked beautiful, but it wasn’t what I expected. The chicken was served with just a few nachos on the side. Worse, the chicken was pink inside, and the texture felt off when chewing. My boyfriend’s quesadilla was no better, it was rubbery and difficult to eat. The only highlight of the meal was the cocktail, which was well-presented and tasted great. Overall, this place fell short of expectations. While the decor is lovely, the food didn’t meet the mark, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Wonderful attention! The bartender who was there when I went was a super nice Italian guy. I was alone at the bar because it was very early so we chatted while I had some very delicious margaritas. The atmosphere is very good and the staff is great.

We walked into this restaurant without a reservation. The host asked us if we had a reservation and we said no. They had no tables left and offered us a swing chair, it was a no for dinner, and a seat at the bar, which was again a no. Finally we were offered a seat in front of the chefs and my wife said yes. I'm very glad she did. The food was amazing. Not good, amazing! I recommend the quesadillas but my wife enjoyed her tacos and baked potato. We shared nachos and would recommend as well. I shared my limited Spanish with them and it was fun, we were given some hats to wear and again we enjoyed. I think this was my favourite place so far for food and would highly recommend. I just remembered, my cocktail came in a chest. Why are you still reading, go here now.
