Gave me real meat instead of vegan one

Bad service. We waited over 20 minutes for 2 drinks. Some guests left after 10 minutes. The tables were not cleared so that guests cleared the tables themselves so that they had space.

Hygiene catastrophic. The taste of the cappuccino is not recognizable. Currently the worst we have experienced in Amsterdam

The fries are not crispy, dry, flavorless and lukewarm. Took 20 minutes for anyone to get our order and the same amount of time to get a water and fries. Location is good and atmosphere fine but there's much better places literally everywhere else. Not recommended at all

Great lil burger place with an amazing view, especially if sat outside on the bench. The Ellis 2.0 is to die for and the chips are the perfect amount of crispy outside with fluffy inside

Small sitting space but delicious food, which is the important 😋 go here if you want to have an amazing burger in Amsterdam's city center!

Lovely sat outside on the canal. The food was fine for the price they ask for it. Friendly young man who served us quickly.

Myself and family had a sharing board and some iced teas. The iced teas were great, as was the chicken on the sharing board. Everything else on the sharing board was good too. We sat outside and had a nice view of the canal.

Bad meat quality. Waiter forgot some of the orders and overall overpriced. Wouldn’t recommend.

UNFORTUNATELY 1 STAR IS TOO MUCH!!! Apart from the fact that the service was a complete disaster, the price for the really small burgers is a disgrace! The staff was unfriendly and often had to be called before someone would take care of you. After we had received warm water and warm glasses in midsummer, when we asked for cool drinks, the only response was that the glasses were finally freshly washed and the water came out of the tap just like that. When asked for ice cubes, we have them after about 10 minutes. get waiting time. Never again!!!

Bad meat quality, toilets disgusting.

Don't order lemonade. Tastes like sprite with some sugar and a slice of lemon. I asked to swap for a coke and was told that I would have to pay (cuz you know it's so expensive!). I suggested that the server not recommend it to customers and his response was out of what not to say to customers. Oh well. UPDATE: Server saw I wasn't drinking it at all so he gave me a coke. Redemption!

Food is okay but they were also out of a lot of things. We went on a Thursday at a calm hour, not many people. The two waiters were very confused about the orders and we heard it from the tables next to us to that they also got the wrong orders. When they hand you the order they just throw the receipts away so they're rolling around on the floor until the wind takes them into the canal. Go somewhere else

Food was ok, toilets absolutely terrible. Music very inappropriate. But onion rings are really great for a quick snack

It's a nice location to eat and the burgers were ok but the place was really not clean, with tables remaining uncleared for long periods allowing pigeons to feast on leftovers. The low point, however, was the dead ants we found in my daughter's iced tea and live ants on the payment counter inside. The server seemed entirely unconcerned by this and did not even apologise until I complained again at the end. There was absolutely no indication this was something they were planning to sort out.

This has one of the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will certainly never be going back.

Gave my friend a meat burger instead of the vegan one he ordered

Ordered a vegan burger, got real cheese added to it and didnt realise til i was half way through. Staff promptly denied any wrongdoing.

Ice tea, wash orange juice with some water. Bitterballs are way too expensive: 9 euros for z6 bitterballs

Location is lovely especially when the weather is nice! Service could be slightly quicker though. We didn't eat but the food looked great!

Our faces when we ordered some nuggets and saw that they literally brought us 4 units... Anyway, the waiters were nice and the views are good, but it's not worth it.

Looked inviting. Ordered food eventually!. Ordered a Korean signature burger in a black bun, sorry got no black buns!. So was ok with regular bun. Also ordered Crunchy chicken, side salad and fries. They brought it all out only to be told they have no Crunchy chicken!!!. So cancelled that as we did not want to wait for an alternative. WE SHOUKD HAVE BEEN TOLD AT THE TIME OF ORDERING THE OTHER ITEMS. Korean burger was just warm. Salad ok Chips ok. Servive poor. Disappeared.

Definitely is a nice spot, but honestly the food is not that tasty, the lemonade is just with sirup and full of ice, the nachos had a really weird smell, the service was fast though and the waiter was nice. Additionally, the toilets were really dirty.

Locale carino, con possibilità di mangiare sia fuori che dentro, servizio veloce e panini veramente ottimi anche quello veg. Prezzi in media con gli altri locali di Amsterdam, quindi alti, ma qui la qualità è molto buona. Esagerato solo il prezzo dell’acqua, una bottiglia non etichettata, quindi del rubinetto, ben 8,50 euro.

Really loved the Korean burger. The Devine Alpine was also really nice.

Good burgers, nice service 👍 But we only have warm food until 7:30 p.m.

Service was clumsy and unprofessional. I also had the feeling that some of the clerks didn't really work and that they didn't take their jobs seriously. Even when their manager came by to scold them and the boss walked away, I heard them say in English that they didn't care about it. Atmosphere and hygiene are both no better than a real McDonalds and I think even worse if you get a table that is still dirty. There was also a nasty old cheese smell in the front of the house. Photo was taken after half an hour of eating and waiting for desert. This when it is not busy and the staff were chatting and laughing with each other. The food was good but nothing spectacular. The lady blanche was also good.

Burger was excellent. Fries too. Seating by the river is beautiful. Service could be better. We had to ask for napkins.

First time here and the terrace and inside were full. Personel was friendly and fast. No music in the restaurant i missed that. Small tables but kinda cozy. Amsterdam beers i really enjoyed. The Burgers we had were awsome juicy and made fast. Met the chef who was so friendly , hope he makes a good amount of money . We saw him in the kitchen taking care of all the orders AND dishes by himself. It was saturday and FULL. This man needs a raise. Overall great experience, and good price. would def recommend!

Fast service, accommodating and available servers. On a sunny terrace by the canal. Good food and served quickly I recommend 👍 ☺️

Very unpleasant staff, asking us to leave the terrace to give the table to someone else, after having already moved us. Also, the “homemade” lemonade was just a bad syrup.

Deze mensen hebben het begrip horeca niet begrepen en ik betwijfel of ze het ooit zullen begrijpen, wat een slechte zaak is dit, onverstaanbaar personeel en werkelijk onkundig, als is er een tafel vrij, dat zal niet voor niets zijn, links laten liggen dit terras.

The Beyond Burger, completely vegan, is absolutely incredible. The fries are super good. We also tried the sharing plate of breaded cauliflower with barbecue sauce which amazed us! I recommend!

I do not recommend at all, an endless wait to have an infamous and cold cappuccino, a ginger tea which is nothing other than a cup of hot water........ And a beer which does not arrive

Not sure why so many negative reviews. Ate outside for dinner at sunset on a really windy night. Burger was decent, wine was decent, and staff was overworked but fun. On a nice day I'd gladly sit here and enjoy wine and fries.

The establishment inside is very small and not very cozy (the terrace is good) The personnel is very friendly The food is not bad, quality/price in Amsterdam is normal

Worst burger we've ever eaten... It had half a head of lettuce on it and only tasted like ketchup... - a shame

French fries were nice. They were short staffed so service wasn't good but they were doing their best. The cappuccino was horible, the cup was dirty and the waiter spilled the coffee on me and didn't even say sorry. And they managed to get a 3 items order wrong.

couldn't even enter. door sign said open, door wouldn't open. the other door said the entrance was on the left, the arrow pointed to the right. witnessed other people trying to enter with no luck.

We may have been lucky, we ate here 6 weeks ago. And very kindly helped by a young man who really made us feel at home. It was quite cold and wet that day, you could feel it from the window. The starters and hamburger were very tasty. We had a cocktail and mocktail, that was the only downside. The cocktail, although quite tasty, did not seem to contain a drop of alcohol, so I did not pay for it

To be fair we never actually ate anything there. We went in at 6pm, they close at 8pm. We were told they were closed because it was slow. Walked by the window shortly after, sign still said open. Looked in & 2 employees sitting at a table on their phones. They probably did us a favor, not serving us

Hamburger is still tasty. Nowadays you have to pay for side dishes separately. There was no cappuccino, only black coffee. But there is Cappuccino on the receipt. Weird how about that? This Ellis seems to be deteriorating slightly.

Sehr lecker, dazu faire Preise. Wir hatten die Möglichkeit draußen direkt an der Gracht zu sitzen. Der Service war sehr schnell und freundlich. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

The Bengali waiters are very kind. However, I went to the cashier to ask for a bowl of water and was told: No! The waiters helped me out in the end. Advice to the cashier: if you don’t like people, try getting a job in front of a computer. Maybe it would help to spread happiness for everyone.

After 3 days of eating nothing but garbage, we found this burger place. It's amazing, juicy burgers, really well priced especially for Amsterdam. Highly recommend.

Die Burger haben eine normale Größe und der Flair auf der Brücke zu essen ist super schön. Direkt am Kanal und einen herrlichen Ausblick. Das Personal ist nett.

Das Ambiente war wirklich herrlich mit Blick auf den Kanal. Angenehme Lage, nicht zu viel los. Burger war gut. Etwas kleiner, aber mit Pommes gut sättigend. Homemade Angebote top und auch lecker.

Nous avons été très mal reçu par le serveur de la terrasse. Nous avons dû changer de table car étant 3 et ne voulant pas être en plein soleil (30° ce jour) notre installation (qui consistait à rajouter une chaise à notre table sans changer l’installation, ne lui convenait pas. De plus, étant étudiantes, il est proposé une formule « student » dans le menu mais qui n’a pas été accepté par notre serveur car nous étions françaises et que visiblement les étudiants français ne sont pas des étudiants pour lui …. No comment. (A savoir que les musées et autres restaurants acceptent les cartes étudiantes de tout pays, bref). Je ne recommande pas votre restaurant.

Our party of 6 was seated right away, and we sat outside on the canal bridge when we dined at Ellis. It's really a great spot - beautiful canal views and scenery. The staff here were not quite as attentive and quick with service, but definitely was still fine. Our drinks and food were all very good. If we're ever back in Amsterdam, we'll definitely come back here.

Hamburgers conformes à ce que nous connaissons et aussi bons que dans les Ellis belge déjà fréquenté. Mais très très déçue par acceuil et le service. Nous étions sur la terrasse qui est très jolie avec la vue sur les canaux mais cela s'arrête là. Tables non débarrassées et il faisait très sale (table et sol). Le serveur a poussé les restes d'aliments de la table avec un carton vers le sol! De plus, le serveur était antipathique et peu serviable. Il a de plus refusé de servir les menus étudiants à mes 3 ados alors qu'en Belgique et à Maastricht, on les prend toujours ! Les verres sont arrivés sales et avec des glaçons quasi fondus! Pas un merci ni aurevoir, le serveur était affalé sur une chaise sur la terrasse!

Mega essen,nette Bedienung und eine sehr schöne Aussicht.

Restaurant de burgers très correct. Bien situé avec vue sur les quais et la belle statue de Multatuli. Le Burger végé goûté presque le même goût qu'un vrai. Je dis bien presque. Bons desserts au chocolat. Pas de la haute gastronomie mais bon rapport qualité/prix.

Wer dort auf Toilette war, wird nichts zum Essen bestellen.

Nice location and plenty of outside tables. Terrible service, only one waiter speaking English (other were just bringing food), a lot of waiting. We didnt order any food, drinks were not the best but drinkable. Not much ice, not sure if they are generous with alcohol or fill it with some juices. If it's alcohol as described in menu, then it's a very good price (10ish eur for drink) to alcohol ratio :) don't expect tasting experience though. Wine is cheap and good (5e/glass). Toilet clogged to a point it overfloads was something we were not ready for.

Bester veganer Burgerladen in Amsterdam, man kann direkt am Kanal essen und es ist verhältnismäßig ruhig.

We had a great time here! The hamburgers were delicious and the staff give us an extra portion of fries! My son said he never eats an hamburger like the Ellis special!!!
