A very expensive quick bite, hardly any space, trash cans overflowing, never again.

Giving money to McDonald's is already a bad idea, but this is seriously awful. It's the dirtiest McDonald's I've ever seen! The man is there to take our money at the entrance to the restrooms, but he doesn't even clean them. The place is filthy; there isn't a single clean stall! Avoid it at all costs!

The GROSSEST McDonald’s ever. The bald manager is the rudest person ever, he couldn’t manage to save his life. I was given a burger that tasted like cleaning solution and was mouldy. When I asked to change it I was laughed at. Also the state of the place, the laziest staff I’ve ever seen!

I ordered a 6 euro combo meal with two burgers. The burgers were basically just a bunch of beef patties smeared with tomato sauce and cucumber cheese. Not good, not bad either. The self-service ordering machine was broken. After ordering and paying with my card, no receipt was printed. There was no order number; I had to guess to get my food. McDonald's in Hong Kong is better and more affordable. What I can't understand is why they charge extra for tomato sauce or other sauces. I can't understand why this kind of junk food is worth 6 euros.

The tables and floor were very dirty, and there was food scattered all over the floor.

Only got 8 out of 9 chicken nuggets. And my ice cream was melted. And it took forever. Not good.

The site we have sent the administratief to the person who did not receive the money is now on the middle of the day that the other two or more people feel that it is sprung and that onaanvaardbaar lage niveau te herstellen, dat noch mensen noch the reputatie of McDonald’s waardig is. In this particular McDonald’s branch in Amsterdam, the level of cleanliness was shocking and completely unacceptable. What I witnessed indicates clear negligence in performing cleaning duties and a total lack of supervision and oversight. The situation reflects an administrative failure that cannot be justified and requires immediate action to hold those responsible accountable and to correct this unacceptably low standard, which is unworthy of both customers and the McDonald’s name.

I went to eat around 12 at night. It was filthy and filthy. A terrible place that does not befit the McDonald's brand. The staff is indifferent and rude. If possible, avoid even going there.

We were very tired from visiting Amsterdam, and sat down to eat. We had to order on consoles, only two men working in the kitchen. No time to answer questions. When we wanted to go to the toilet, there was not any. That is forbidden by law for such an establishment!! We were directed to Mc Donalds in the Nieuwstraat, and there we had to pay. The foreign cleaner said everybody had to pay 1,5 Euro for the toilet. As I protested that is is against the law, the foreigner working there admitted us without us having to pay. Mc Donald's is a tourist trap, and a scam. To be avoided! It seems that you can avoid having to offer a toilet to your customers just by asking an exaggerated amount of money!

This was my first time eating McDonald's in the Netherlands. The staff knew I didn't speak Dutch, and they ordered a coffee and a burger based on the picture I provided. It was a very heartwarming experience.

Totally a scam, went to order a cheese burger to take away, got home and found out there is no patty inside!!!!! Unacceptable!!!!

Great because they are open until late at night and until 3 am, and that is what I like about them. Their food is delicious, and the service is fast.

Visited two nights in a row and had issues both times. First night, I wanted to dine in, but was told no trays are given out in the evening, only a paper bag — awkward and messy for dine-in. Second night, I tried to return a reusable cup to get my €1 deposit back, but they refused because I hadn’t bought it that same evening. I explained another McDonald’s told me returns are accepted at any location since you ordered to-go, but the manager insisted it’s their policy to prevent “homeless people cashing in cups.” He said as a private franchise, they can make their own rules. Not only was the reasoning off-putting, but the attitude was dismissive and unhelpful, I dropped it and left since it is only one euro but at the same time is only one euro why did they feel the need to fight me on this. I read other reviews that report similar issues here — poor service, dine-in orders in bags, and confusion around cup deposits. Policies feel made up on the spot. Would not recommend McDonalds in Amsterdam.

No one spoke Dutch. I tried to grab my order after it was called, but they were very rude to me when I tried to take it. A homeless person also walked in and said strange things.

I had to argue with them about not issuing a receipt and I couldn’t determine the order and one of the staff did everything they could not to give my order, it was horrible.

There's no restroom, so you have to go outside and walk around the block. The atmosphere is nonexistent. Better to just get takeout and leave. Napkins were nowhere to be found.

I'm a Mac fan in any country and would love to try it. It's always crowded since it's in a busy area. It needs more staff to control the situation.

A rather small dirty McDonald's. The terminals work. The food is prepared quickly. However, they rarely clean it, the tables and the floor are dirty. The hall is very small and alone. The sauce is served in a bag, not very convenient, but a whole 35 ml! However, it was still not enough for a large potato. Music plays, no sockets. The main advantage is that it works around the clock!!!

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Small and dirty, with a very limited menu. They had four or fewer items to choose from. Ice cream was only available in one, nothing like the rest of McDonald's. The tables were very dirty, and no one was cleaning. I don't recommend it.

I ordered a meal and an ice cream cone. They prepared the ice cream first, and then added the rest of the meal about five minutes later before calling my number. When I pointed out that the ice cream had completely melted, they said, “You were supposed to pick it up,” even though no one had called my number. They were very rude about it.

There are no restrooms. You have to go to the restaurant next door for 50 cents. The food and prices are good.

Absolutely filthy. This was one of the worst McDonald’s experiences I’ve ever had. On a typical Sunday afternoon, trash was overflowing from the bins and scattered around them. There was spilled Coke across the floor, and food littered the kitchen area. The food itself was dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. Worst of all, the food preparation area was a mess. Lettuce and other toppings were scattered across the counter, and I watched as one staff member gathered it all with his bare hands, threw it in the trash, wiped his hands on his pants, and then continued making food without washing them. This location is in serious need of attention and improvement.

During my visit to this McDonald’s in Amsterdam I was very disappointed. The place was downright unhygienic. Tables and floors were covered in food scraps and waste, and the staff didn’t seem to care at all. Nothing was cleaned, not even when there was clearly time for it. We ended up having to clean the table ourselves before we could sit down, and that should never be the intention. McDonald’s is known for fast service and a clean environment, but that was nowhere to be found here. A missed opportunity, because with a little attention and effort from the staff this could easily be improved. Unfortunately not recommended for now.

Went there yesterday. No taste at all. Not worth the money. Also, disappointed by the behaviour of the lady that was in the front. Seemed like a supervisor with arrogant nature. I heard she is telling someone that it was her last day. Doesn't matter, you are still working there and you should have good manners. You were just tarnishing Mc Donald's reputation. Ordered an m&m McFlurry using a kiosk with English selected as the language. At no point did it indicate that there would be peanuts in the McFlurry as the title of the item was 'Regular McFlurry - M&M'. Upon getting the order, my girlfriend took the first bite of the McFlurry and noticed it had peanuts, which is very fortunate as if I had taken the first bite or she had not noticed I would have gone into anaphylactic shock. We returned to the McDonalds asking for them to make us an Oreo one and that they should really ensure that an item containing peanuts is clear about that allergen - especially something that normally would not like M&Ms. Both the worker at the register and the manager who she went and got gave us attitude as though we were fools for not knowing that all McFlurries in the Netherlands have peanuts and they very begrudgingly made us a terrible Oreo mcflurry which they did not attempt to mix at all. I would highly advice against going to this McDonalds and instead spend your money somewhere will they will at least treat you with a bit of respect in the event that you're trying to avoid death.

This McDonald's is central Amsterdam, so it was pretty busy when I visited. Place was generally clean, and service was pretty fast, considering it was busy. I would visit this Mcdonalds location again if I was in this area

The employees, at least on this day, were subtly overwhelmed with the English language, which made ordering a bit difficult, the lady didn't know what surprise meant (in relation to the happy meal) she constantly understood Sprite instead of surprise and also mumbled a lot, which made communication very difficult. In a place so full of tourism, you should be able to speak English as an employee at mäcces. Nevertheless, mcd is like everyone else with all the jut and all the bad qualities.

I had read from the reviews that the place was dirty, but I never, ever imagined having to dine with mice! The staff, at my scream, signaled me to be quiet and we left the food intact and left immediately because the mice were walking calmly under the tables. It's really true that we need to travel to appreciate what we have in our country

Less, McDonald's recently introduced a new policy that all burgers would be made fresh, unfortunately this is not the case here, I still got a burger that was several hours old, and was therefore very dry and tasteless, I almost choked on it, it was so dry, so they won't see me here again

There aren't many restaurants open in the morning, so it's a great place when you don't have time. The taste is something everyone knows. It was my first McDonald's in the Netherlands and I was surprised that it was more expensive than I expected. McCrispie set and McCrockett individually for around 17 euros.

A very dirty and incomprehensible place. There is garbage, dirt, receipts, pieces of paper, napkins everywhere. Electronic menus work every once in a while or don’t work at all. And of course a paid toilet) The food here, it should be noted, is delicious.

The food is as good as any other McDonald's. The problem with this one is that it is always completely overcrowded. There is no place to sit and it takes a long time to get your order. Also, the employees don't seem to want to clean, because the entire time I was in the restaurant they didn't clean a single table.

I am reaching out to share a recent experience at the McDonald's branch in Amsterdam's city center, which I believe highlights areas for improvement in customer service. During my visit, I ordered a Happy Meal but found no option for a cheeseburger. Upon addressing this at the counter, the staff mentioned it was not possible to modify the sandwich, which I understand is within policy. However, when I placed a new order for a sandwich with added lettuce, the employee's behavior was notably unprofessional. She left abruptly, returned to complete the order, but did not include the requested lettuce. The interaction was disappointing, as I do not expect to pay for a second sandwich, wait again, and experience unkind treatment. Such behavior does not align with the standards I associate with McDonald's and reflects poorly on the brand. I kindly suggest reviewing this branch's customer service practices to ensure a more positive experience for future patrons. Looking forward to your response.

Service 100 out of 10. At the time i ordered the Food, my Child was looking for the Toilets. Any the lady on the cash desk couldn’t help her, but that she will not be sad because of this, the lady gave her ice cream and few presents. This was really nice! Thank you very much!

Mc donald located near Dam Square, it is not very spacious but has some tables and chairs available to eat. You order through totems, the waiting times are normal, I appreciated that my food was made at the moment, the prices were lower than the mc in Italy and also the sauces were much larger. Only the cost of water was excessive, for the rest I was satisfied.

Worst chicken burger paty was dry old and hard. The indian workers were very unhygienic dirty uniforms, not cleaning tables or floor. Fries were cold and dry.

Ordered food, wrong burger bun. After we had eaten the doors would not open again, we were stuck in the Mac for an hour and a half, no fire brigade came or anything like that, but an employee who fiddled with the wires with a screwdriver until they suddenly opened again. No mention or anything. It was impossible to communicate with the employees. Also no compensation or anything. When the doors opened again it was like "sorry for the inconvenience" and that was it... Very bad service.

The food was good, but the restaurant was very dirty, and the staff was very rude. When I asked a staff member named Ali (he was without official uniform) about the cleanliness, he rudely responded that they didn’t have extra workers to clean.

It's just fast food! No toilet and no space for a stroller. There is actually almost no service; orders and payments are made by machine. Food is put out or the number is called out and that's it.

The service girl was quite rude and pissed off when I asked her if she had a tray to carry the food...she replied annoyed, quite a lot, that after 7pm they don't give out trays...almost as if she wanted to jump on me 😅 all she had to do was tell me calmly and I would have learned the news anyway and made do 💪🏻
