Workers do operations with paper money at the desk and then touch my food with those hands without washing or using gloves. I wonder if they wash their hands after toilet

A very unpleasant experience – unfortunately, not recommended. I had an extremely unpleasant experience with an older employee. She approached us and asked if we had paid. After we confirmed this, she reacted loudly and said, "I will never believe that." We then showed her the receipt, but her behavior towards us remained passive-aggressive and disrespectful. A few seconds later, I encountered her again in the restroom area, both in the women's and men's restrooms. In the women's restroom, she continued to be disrespectful and told me to "Move your leg" because, in her opinion, I hadn't reacted quickly enough to get into a toilet stall. The entire situation was very unpleasant for me, and I felt extremely uncomfortable and disrespected as a guest. In my opinion, such communication and behavior towards customers are unacceptable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this establishment at all. What is particularly disappointing is that I am apparently not the first person to complain about this employee's behavior in the reviews.

I placed a decent order, but the self-scan receipt roll was empty, so I only received half a receipt. The staff were not even willing to look at it. Additionally, I was verbally abused by the current manager; I have never experienced anything like this at a McDonald's!

Paper, chips, spilled, trampled on the floor, and a branch employee walks through it without the slightest interest as if he didn't see anything. Disgusting. Food prepared just like that. Don't come here!

Very wonderful restaurant, delicious food, not like the one we have in Rome, I recommend it.

I went to buy some chicken nuggets so I could use the restroom, since it was a paid service and you could only use it for free if you bought something. When I picked up my food, the woman at the counter took my receipt, crumpled it up, and threw it away. When I asked for it back, she told me I had to pay to use the restroom and that she wasn't going to give it back. In the end, I couldn't use the restroom, but at least the nuggets weren't disappointing.

Unpleasant waiter, no air conditioning so it's very hot, and the toilets cost extra. The only positive point is that there are three floors to find seating... so... I only moderately recommend it.

I was very disappointed by the service at this McDonald's. The staff didn't even say hello when I greeted them. I almost felt like I'd bothered them more by ordering than anything else. I had a great stay in Amsterdam, and it's a shame this McDonald's spoiled it. The cleaner, however, was incredibly kind. But the service there made me feel like I was being treated like dirt. The food itself was good. Despite this, I definitely don't recommend it.

While searching for a restroom, which is extremely difficult in Amsterdam, we headed to McDonald's. Yes, they had one, but it cost €1 per person, which is quite steep, and they were strictly enforcing the rules to make sure everyone paid. Unnecessary. We've experienced many McDonald's restaurants, from first-class to catastrophic. This one is somewhere in the middle. On the plus side, the food was prepared quickly (which reflected that), and it was clean everywhere except for a few tables, but then again, it was very busy. The food... well, the burger fell apart immediately, the wrap was mostly sauce, more on the outside than in. And we got ten ketchups instead of four. A bit of an exaggeration? Let's say three stars, at least they have the cheapest burger prices around, and there's plenty of seating on three floors. Thanks for the hospitality, and greetings from West Lusatia in Germany!

Just read on threads: ‘I just witnessed an elderly woman at McDonald’s Kalverstraat, Amsterdam being refused tap water while she was clearly unwell from the heat and close to fainting. She was so desperate that she started drinking from cups left behind by other customers. After seeing that, I ended up running next door to buy her a bottle of water with the last money I had on me because staff would NOT help her.’ If true and I assume it is: no words for this behavior. The staff was unfriendly. Soiling, including spilled cola on the stairs during our visit, was not cleaned up. Toilet use costs €1 for guests as well, and the cleaning lady at the restrooms was very assertive.

I paid 13€ for a meal at a kiosk, I don't get a receipt but I do get told my order number. Later when I hear my number I come on over and the attendant asks for a receipt, I explain how I didnt receive one and she asks me to explain the order, I do and she tells me it aint mine. This woman is horrible, she wouldn’t let me go to the toilet even tho it clearly says for 15 and under free entrance.We had to go to the manager to go to the toilet. This is not the first time this has happened with the same woman. The past time I went to the McDonalds she told me to show my receipt, I had already put it in the McDonalds bag which led to it being under the sauce, and she said I picked it up from the trash…

Chaos! Even when it's busy, you can organize things so that they *do* run smoothly. In my opinion, the biggest culprit is that single TV screen hanging there displaying the numbers being prepared and the numbers that are ready. First of all, there is only one screen, which is invisible from many places. Secondly: the numbers being prepared are in the left column, and the numbers that are ready are on the right. And suddenly, your own number is simply nowhere to be seen. And then you start wondering what happened to your order. And then you ask the staff, who are already walking around half-stressed and have no time and/or inclination to answer. Poor staff! As I already knew: the Dutch just can't organize things anymore or set things up efficiently and effectively! P.S. The Big Mac was 'finger lickin good' again!

Automatic doors successfully kept the rats out. The food was prepared fast. I particularly liked how they were open at 2am Monday morning.

This was one of the worst McDonald’s branches I’ve come across in all these years. First of all, even customers have to pay to use the restroom, which is honestly ridiculous. Secondly, the staff didn’t seem helpful at all. For example, my ice cream order was sitting behind the counter ready and melting, but the girl at the counter was completely ignoring it and focusing on preparing other orders. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

My wife broke her foot by falling from the stairs of this mcdonalds. The worst stairs I've seen in my life. Very small that hardly one's foot can adjust on it. Be careful when you use them. We had to call an ambulance our whole trip was ruined because of it.

The restroom attendant was very rude, unbelievable, the spicy chicken was mediocre, the fries not crispy. Ambience cold. Bad McDonald's.

The staff treated me with abusive and discriminatory behavior. He let six people (all Dutch speakers) go in without paying the one euro entrance fee to the restroom. When I went, he forced me to pay (which was technically €1 per person, but I still found it unfair). Then, he forced us into the men's restroom, even though men were already urinating there. He did the same to the group of girls behind us who also spoke Spanish, and even to children! He told us to go into the men's restroom. But he didn't offer the men's restroom to the group of Dutch women in front of me, supposedly to shorten the queue. More young women who spoke Dutch came back, and he didn't offer them the men's restroom either. There was no toilet paper in the restroom. It was impossible to talk to the man. It was appalling.

As much money as McDonald’s makes in a year, and they STILL expect you to pay for the restroom after buying food and drink. Your staff have to keep the restrooms clean for their own health and safety anyway, and so you shouldn’t charge as a cleaning fee or just or an additional revenue!

If I am paying for food, my receipt should get me free access to the toilet. Ridiculous

Mc remains Mc... They responded adequately to the fact that the printer wasn't working, and by explaining what the order was, I got the number I needed.

Paying for the loo is acceptable. Paying a full euro is not, especially when the loo isn't clean despite there being a toiletjufvrouw.

Furthermore, some items had to be picked up from the counter, resulting in me waiting at the table for approximately 45 minutes in vain. Furthermore, the products I received were cold and of subpar quality. Even when I received replacement dishes, such as fries or other items, the quality remained subpar. The fries and hamburgers were cold, and even the coffee did not meet the standard one would expect from your location. This situation not only made the experience unpleasant and unsatisfactory but could legally be considered a breach of the agreed-upon service. Four of us went out for lunch, ordered several set menus, spent money, and yet we still had to pay extra to use the restroom. If this isn't extreme capitalism, I don't know what is! It's outrageous that you have to pay to use the bathroom! I'm furious about this!

Waited almost 20 minutes for my food, it seemed like only 2 people were working and weren't in a rush at all. Horrible. The place was full of people waiting for their orders.

A short review of the McDonald's in Amsterdam. First, let's talk money: the burgers aren't that expensive. For €10, you can get four burgers, which is quite a saving in Macron's Europe. The selection is there, but it's intentionally limited. And ultimately, it focuses on the essentials: it's a fast-food restaurant, not a gastronomic encyclopedia. No need for elaborate menus; here, it's all about burgers, and that's it. Special mention goes to the €1 ice cream. It deserves a star for that alone. It's a little McDonald's gem, very inexpensive, and definitely a great snack to bring a smile to children's faces. On the other hand, the inside was dirty. And unfortunately, it's not really the staff's fault: no trays, so they have to clean everything themselves. The problem lies mainly with the customers. As for the taste, let's be honest: mediocre. If you have €10 and are looking for a quick meal, opting for the convenience of McDonald's isn't necessarily the wisest choice in Amsterdam. In conclusion: it's a classic McDonald's, returning to the very essence of fast food, and that's what we love about it.

Disgusting food! Fries were cold uneatable. The worst Nuggets you can ever eat the WORST! I ordered chilly burger I got sweat souse burger when I ask them why is that sweet not spicy they didn’t even cared! The worst McDonald I have ever been! If I were the company I would shot it down! I'm sorry the elevator isn't accessible for people with reduced mobility. Aside from that, it's the usual chain we all know. You have to pay to use the bathroom, but I was told the money goes to the employees, so it's less annoying to have to pay. They're spotless.

The people working there are incredibly rude. I'd been waiting over 15 minutes for my order (a hamburger and a coke). Then I asked if there was any chance it was almost ready because I saw my order, and was met with a sneer: "I don't know." I replied that it was right in front of her, and she shoved it at me, only to have it fall to the floor. Never had such a bad experience!
