We were excited to discover McDonald's Amsterdam. It's fair to say we waited almost 30 minutes for our tray. No one called our name. The waitress didn't believe us. What's more, we were missing a drink and a dessert. Finally, we couldn't properly clear our table because there was no tray and the trash was overflowing. One last important detail: since we didn't get any napkins, we wanted to use the restrooms on the second floor of the restaurant. No luck! It was impossible to access the upper floors.

Slow service at the last minute. Two iced coffees took 14 minutes, and the wait between coffees was 5 minutes. The manager on duty was very friendly. Tables weren't cleared and a bit dirty. (My visit was at the last minute.)

I ordered a Mc crispy and I noticed a got a spicy one so I asked if I could get another one. They then gave me a normal one but it had salad and sauce which I took off on the other order too. Then someone behind the counter a women with a blonde short wig decided to scream at me that the mc crispy I ordered wasn’t spicy and she gave it back.. Absolute worst service ever.

The staff is rude while the environment is dirty. Not healthy to eat here with all the flies going around. No restroom (only for staff). No free ketchup. Avoid at all cost. I have travelled globally this macdonald is in the bottom 5% in terms of performance.

Because I wanted to use the toilet, I had to order food. I ordered dinner and finally climbed to the 3rd floor. A black female said that we had to pay before we could use the toilet, so we took the menu and asked the guy at the counter if we could use the toilet. We climbed up again and the black guy insisted that everyone had to pay. The toilet attitude was very bad, and he even asked us which employee said that?! The conclusion is that even if you want to use the toilet, you don’t think you should come to this McDonald’s!

Great to eat with a homeless person sleeping inside, the staff was informed and did nothing, they went to the table where he was, cleaned it and acted as if nothing had happened, there were people eating on the stairs because there was no room to eat.

This restaurant is located in the very center of Amsterdam. Very convenient to have a snack, fast service, good quality of food. The question arises when visiting a paid toilet... there are many places, you can take a short break before the next shopping run))

Yummy!!! Served quickly in a busy location. It's neat and clean here. Menu was fresh and tasty. In addition to the ground floor, you can also sit on the 1st and 2nd floors. Easy to reach.

The chaos is awful. Dirt, filth everywhere. The trash cans are not emptied. The guest cannot throw away the waste. Very expensive place. For that price, they could at least clean it. The service is terrible, they give you something other than what you ask for.

I honestly gave it that score, because it wasn't even a 1! First: They don't have gluten-free options there like almost all Mac Donald's. I had to eat there, because we couldn't find anything gluten-free in Amsterdam. What little there was was worth a fortune. Second: the taste of the burgers and fries were inedible. Third: I didn't like the atmosphere and the fact that the place, which had few people, was very dirty.

Didn't get a receipt, wrong food because it was no longer there. Every other order wrong, lots of chaos.

During the order the machine with the interactive screen broke down, the message was to place the order through another screen. In the end I received two identical orders for which my money was taken. Disgusting service and no customer focus. The manager laughed and said that it was my problem. According to him, he has been working at McDonald's for 10 years. Dear McDonald's team, what is the problem with teaching your managers to communicate with the client respectfully?

They charge you to use the bathroom even if you purchase food. And when you pay to use the bathroom they dont let you use ot to brush your teeth.

Food is ok but its insane having to pay to use the toilets and also the a lady in the restrooms has the worst attitude, she's so rude and invasive. She told me I wasn't allowed to brush my teeth for no reason at all. When I asked why, didn't even answer me just hurried me up to come inside the restroom.

10/31/2023 On the eve of All Saints' Day (popularly known, and due to "Yankee" capitalism, Halloween), a group of friends were in Amsterdam hours before going out to party. The McDonalds in Kalverstaat was the place we chose to do our "pre", and we couldn't have chosen a better place. We went up to the third floor where there was not a soul, neither customers nor staff, so we were able to prepare our drinks without any problem. After 1h-1h30mins, an employee told us that they were going to close that floor and that we had to go down to the first floor where the entrance and counter were. Well, this didn't stop us from making all the "fuss" we wanted, laughter, shouting, bad words, etc... The workers couldn't believe it, they didn't kick us out of the premises, just a few warnings to lower the volume. In short, an experience out of 10, we even tried orange vodka and similar. I gave the food a 1 not because it was bad, but because of its high price compared to that of Spain (the motherland). I hope it serves as a help or example.

Visited here to go to the toilet, so while I climbed a couple of floors my wife ordered food. Just a couple of burgers but I don't like to use the toilet somewhere without contributing. I should not have bothered, and I should have read the reviews. You are charged €0.50 to go to the toilet whether you buy something or not. Very poor but not surprising for McDonald's. They have a toilet attendant asking for cash although thankfully they accept card since by this point I'd spent all my euros.

Night visit, it is an alternative considering the cost of hamburgers from mobile restaurants in tourist areas, the service is fast and efficient. After a certain time at night they close access to the tables on the first floor, so you may have to share a table or the bar.

Very dirty environment without knowing how to work in the restaurant world. Paid bathrooms even if you consume at the table and are otherwise dirty beyond belief. In the kitchen staff without uniforms and without hats with people cooking in jackets.

There are few seats downstairs, but there is plenty of space upstairs. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an elevator. The McDonald's was not very clean, ordering via the order pole was easy and the food was served quickly.
