Incredible selection of natural wines! I’ve been there a few times, both on the terrace and inside, and I really love the decoration. The food is great too, with lovely Mediterranean vibes. I also have to highlight the sweetest staff who always make you feel welcome. So happy to have this place in our neighbourhood!

Wine selection & dishes on point. Highly recommendable!

The staff were very friendly and the bites were delicious. However, I was a bit disappointed with the wine selection. I understand they focus on more unique and different styles of wine, which is interesting, but I still think it’s important to offer a wider variety. As an Italian who knows and appreciates wine, I personally found the selection quite limited and wasn’t completely satisfied with it.

A wonderful wine bar and restaurant with a very nice selection of wines and a fantastic menu of shareable plates. The space was comfortable and cool (sit outside if you can), and the staff were warm, welcoming, and very attentive and helpful.

Beautiful place, nice but simple meal , small but cute terrace in front of the restaurant . Nice wine but I was a bit disappont with the suggestion. The options was to taste the open bottle.

Came here on a recommendation and everything exceeded expectations. Wines out of the ordinary and reasonably priced. Flavorful food. Still trying to figure out the spice combo to recreate from one of the dishes. Excellent service by Nada. Will return on our next trip!

Incredible food and service! could not recommend enough

A friend of mine recommended this place, so my husband and I decided to go there for dinner. Everything exceeded our expectations! The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the music created the perfect vibe, and the wine selection was excellent. The cherry on top of the whole experience was the owner. She was incredibly patient in answering all of our questions about the food and wine, and her knowledge and passion for her products truly shone through. You can immediately tell that she genuinely loves what she does. If you go, don't miss the cauliflower—without a doubt the best dish we had!

Good wines, friendly staff and good music

We visited the shop with a group of four for a relaxing evening of wine and appetizers. The staff was very helpful and polite, the drinks seemed quite good and clean, the accompanying dishes of course disappointed us in terms of taste. There is room for improvement in this I think. Otherwise a quiet little neighborhood shop that if you find it in front of you, go in for an aperitif.

Good selection of natural wine and tasty cuisine

This used to be my favourite wine bar … consistently good wine, food and service. I am sad to say service quality has decreased. The bar would benefit from training staff on being customer oriented. Update spring 2026: the cauliflower, which was their stellar dish, is now a baby cauliflower rather than a regularly sized one - not value for money.

This place is a hidden gem in Amsterdam. We came from the US to visit our daughter who lives in Amsterdam. From all eateries in Amsterdam this was the absolute favorite for us. The food is excellent and very unique. Great selection of wines. Great atmosphere and the service was outstanding. 100% recommended ! You won’t regret it.

Staff are so friendly and fun, helpful and knowledgeable about the amazing wines. Always ask for an orange wine :-) Food is consistently excellent.

Such a warm, cozy place to go on a date or just simply sit down and have wine and bites with friends. Highly recommend! And our waitress Marieke was so lovely, we will definitely go back.

Had a wonderful time af Fabus! The dishes were amazing (wonderful vegetarian options as well!), the wine choice was great and the service was perfect. We asked for recommendations for orange wines and the ones we got offered were spot on based on the flavour profile we had. Definitely will be going back!

Amazing natural wine bar and great service

Great wines and super attentive staff, but the food could definitely be better. Most dishes were well-seasoned, but the portions were quite small and meager for the price. The flatbread and focaccia, in particular, could have been a bit more generous. Both the flatbread and the green beans tasted like they came from Albert Heijn. Pre-cut and not fresh. The köfte could also have been a bit saltier. Finally, the seating is very cramped and gets cold quickly when there are fewer people inside.

Such lovely service and delicious wine, they always offer tasters which makes the whole experience extra special.

Truly a wonderful wine bar - we got to taste many beautiful bottles before settling on a Slovakian wine that was out of this world. Came back two days later and bought several bottles to take home! A gem and a joy of a place.

Cosiest place in Amsterdam for delicious natural wines with some great accompanying food (I recommend the delicious cauliflower or the leeks). The people working there always give on point recommendations for wine. They are incredibly friendly and give off the best vibe. I try to come here often to try new and exciting natural wines.

reserved for Wine and DINE at 8pm. The rude, Georgian waiter get us seated, got our drinks immediately and then never walks to the table again. The place gets full, he walks over to everyone taking their order while we tried to chat h his attention. More than 45 minutes later he comes to our table, after my friend had to loudly call him, and we ask if we finally can order food, and he looks at us without a word and when i ask “what” he says “well the kitchen is closed”. Well then when you saw my wine and DINE revervation on your tablet, which he clearly looked at when we got seated, why you did not though once we maybe wanted to Dine, leaving us with at 9 pm on a sunday having to find another open kitchen restaurant. Well went in the end to a better one and the waiters were not so full of themselves and really kind. Which is such a shame this place food is actually quite nice. Sadly for the employee…

Garlic confit labneh is to die for

Delicious dishes; I can recommend the fried chicken, leek, and Camembert. The service was also super friendly and offered interesting wine samples.

We had a great dinner here. The server was very friendly but did seem to forget our orders a couple times until we reminded her. The food, however, was excellent and we particularly loved the cauliflower and the kofte.

It was such a great experience with one of the best red wines I ever tasted and a great open atmosphere. A really good date spot. The food was so great and really good to share. Impeccable. They have good allergen signage on the menu, and if not, they explain in detail what's in each dish when you order. I tried a wine from Greece that was fantastic. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was cool and relaxed.

The food was truly delicious! Good quality. Tasty dishes that are great for sharing. I haven't learned to appreciate natural wines yet, but I do appreciate the natural bubbles. They were also very tasty here. The ambiance was a bit cluttered, but that's just my opinion. It won't stop me from going back again.

Great vibes, great food - lovely cosy restaurant with a small but amazing menu. Great wine options if you want to try something different and nice to have recommendations from our waitress as well. Garlic Confit Labneh with focaccia was particularly heavenly, which we will most definitely be returning for!

Went here for the natural wine experience - did not disappoint! The changing food menu was delicious, too, think Ottolenghi, fresh creative (not tooooo big) dishes with an interesting spark of spices and herbs. Cozy vibe, definitely recommend.

Everything was just sour, the wine, the food, the sauce. Really bad culinary experience. Focaccia was clearly undercooked. Stuff was nice and friendly tho, but it didn’t make up for the rest of the experience.

Used to be such a cool location but the service lately sucks, waiters don’t pay attention, everything takes ages. On top it always smells like toilet in there and overall after one glass we are ready to leave. There are other way better locations in the area at this point.

Super attentive service, sweet shop.

One might liken the experience to cracking open Pandora’s box -or, more fittingly and with historical accuracy, a jug - when asking Stefan for wine recommendations. Charismatic doesn’t begin to cover it. I brought my companion into what felt like a Garden of Eden, albeit with the initial unease of infamous white tapered walls whispering terrifying catchphrases in cursive. But that fear melted into delight, thanks to a warm, gracious staff and a space that felt more sanctuary than bar. We were gently guided through two Catalan blends, onto a young Czech Chardonnay, then surprised by a beautifully light red from Rapsani, yes, Greece, just south of Mount Olympus (a theme began to emerge). We ended with an “experimental” Saperavi. There is before Fabus, and there is after.

The food is excellent, the staff very kind and helpful. Thank you so much for your advice and availability.

I didn’t like that they didn’t change our glasses when we ordered a different wine. Also, the waitress was kind enough to tell me there was an insect in my glass, but not kind enough to replace it, and ended up pouring the wine into the same glass with the insect still inside. Still, the wine was very good, the staff were nice, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

My partner and I came to this wine bar at the beginning of May and had such a memorable experience. Nada, our server, was incredibly warm and attentive—she made us feel welcome right away and really created the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to come back! We tried one of the best wines we've ever had: a stunning floral orange Georgian wine. It was unique, beautifully aromatic, and unforgettable. The food was just as impressive—thoughtful, well-executed dishes that paired well with the wine. We came back two nights later, excited for another great evening, but unfortunately the experience was a bit underwhelming. Our new server forgot our order and drinks, and the overall service felt unorganized. Thankfully, our first visit left such a strong impression that it still stands out as a highlight of our trip.

If you are looking for a good place to drink good wine and enjoy the amazing atmosphere you should definitely come here. Zuka and Milly are the best hosts and make the experience so much better! I would definitely recommend this place!

Amazing atmosphere and service!

I booked Fabus well in advance of travelling to Amsterdam based on a recommendation from friends, expecting a great spot for a solo dinner with some wine and mezze-style plates. I may have misunderstood the vibe (my bad) it’s definitely better suited to groups of friends. I had reserved a table but offered to sit at the window as I was on my own. Unfortunately, this led to an awkward seating situation where I was asked to shift so they could seat another couple in the window, which I understood. However, it meant I ended up tucked in a corner with barely any room, and had to share a small space. Their conversation naturally dominated my evening, and the setup wasn’t very comfortable for a solo diner. Menu-wise, it’s a sharing concept and not ideal for one person, but the dishes I tried were very good. The hummus bites were battered and very tasty along with the dipping sauce, great comfort food, though quite rich. The baba ghanoush and flatbread were also full of flavour. Overall, wouldn’t recommend for solo travellers if you're looking for dinner. The sharing style works out too expensive and doesn't let you try the many options.

One of my favorite places in Amsterdam. Great natural wines, service so friendly and food is delicious.

Great array of wines & well presented sharing plates for two people max. Portions vary from dish to dish, it could be more consistent as we ordered 3 dishes for 3 people and it was very little if your expectations are to be satisfied. I ordered a beer but it didn’t come, there was only one waiter for a busy evening shift with a full house, she did her best but missed a few things and could see people getting frustrated at the wait. The flavour of the food was fantastic and would go back for that.
