Had a super fun night with my girlfriends! Really recommended.

I was very surprised by this wine bar! I know it’s got great rating, but you never know ;) Everybody we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The charcuterie board was nice, and the selection of wines was fantastic. I can’t remember the name of the white wine I had, but it was a beautiful combination of summer and honey in a glass, which complimented the cheeses from the charcuterie board really well. Definitely worth a visit!

I don’t recognize anything being stated below. The wine (10euros per glass) and cheese was really poor and not on quality. To compare: we went to another wine bar beforehand and the difference was immense. I would recommend a different, cozier place.

This is by far one of my top wine bars in Amsterdam. The wine selection is fantastic, the service is incredible, and you can always learn something new about wine from Paul. His passion for wine is contagious and the cozy atmosphere always invites you to stay much longer than you plan to.

Despite the fact that we were just looking at his window display, he very kindly invited us in and gave us an impromptu tour of his fabulous wine bar. It was interesting to see someone this passionate about his wines. We hope to visit Paul again soon!

We absolutely adore this place. You are guaranteed of a few things. One, the wines will be unique and delicious. Two, the food will be amazing, and in many cases hand selected from local artisans by the owner. Third, you will learn about the wine you are drinking. Paul, and his staff have amazing knowledge about wine in general, and will answer any questions you have about the wine they are currently offering. The space is lively, and cozy at the same time, with comfortable seating and a large window looking out on the street of Amsterdam. I highly recommend you make a reservation to ensure you get a seat.

Zaten in de kelder bij de wc’s. Niet ideaal voor de sfeer. Leuke grappige verhalen van Paulus bij de wijnen. De verhalen waren beter dan de wijnen. Hapjes plank was top

Zooooo dit was léúk! Geen chardonnay, Bordeaux of merlot maar louter onbekende Europese wijnen. Leerzaam, interessant, gezellig en vooral heel lekker. Paulus is kundig, vriendelijk en een uitstekende gastheer. Vanaf nu gaan bij ons vooral onbekende wijnen mee bij de slijterij!

Ik + mijn vriend zijn geboren en getogen in Amsterdam, dus we weten wel het een en ander te vinden qua wijnbarretjes. We dachten dat we het allemaal hadden uitgespeeld, totdat we bij wijnbar Paulus terecht kwamen. We zijn opslag verliefd geworden op deze super fijne plek. Je kunt hier wijnen drinken voor elke soort gelegenheid. Wijnproeverij, borrel of aperitivo. Uitgebreid of snel. Het kan hier allemaal en je word geholpen door de leukste wijnkenner Paulus :) Binnen een paar minuten verteld hij je alles wat je zou moeten weten over de wijnen waar hij een persoonlijke passie voor heeft, de vergeten heerlijke Europese wijnen.

Wir haben wohl durch Zufall DEN Geheimtipp für Wein gefunden. Super nettes Ambiente gepaart mit super netten Gastgebern und einer tollen Weinauswahl. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Geweldige ervaring! Wij kwamen hier voor een gezinsuitje en dachten dat een wijntasting wel eens een leuke activiteit kon zijn. If you're looking for incredible service and even better stories and education about unique wines, run (don't walk) here! We came to visit twice in two days and Paul was the most incredible host. His stories are fun, educational, and entertaining and he'll perfectly build a wine flight to your tastes. Trust in his recommendations and enjoy a journey through wines you'd never find on your own. Also, take advantage of the scent identification kit to hone those smelling skills - such a fun activity while wine tasting. We loved our time here and can't wait to visit again ❤️

I had the pleasure of experiencing Paulus on a recent 2 day stopover in Amsterdam. Its a wine bar so OF COURSE Paulus was knowledgeable and able to suggest a delicious orange wine for me. Yet what was even more of a treat was his genuine love and interest of those he was serving. I noticed it not just with me, but with every person he interacted with. As far as llcation, it's the perfect distance away from all the hustle and bustle of the touristy center. Right next to a bakery with the best baclava I've ever tasted, and across the street from a calm locals park, Wijnbar Paulus is the center of a wonderful adventure into the life of the local dutch life. I'm already looking forward to coming back and bringing some friends and family next time so they can experience Paulus as well.

Wat hebben wij een leuke wijntasting gehad bij Wijnbar Paulus! De eigenaar (Paul) vertelt met zo ontzettend veel enthousiasme over de wijnen en neemt daarbij alle tijd om je mee te nemen in zijn verhalen. Die zijn ontzettend leuk en uniek en daardoor leer je niet alleen wat over de druif of het wijnhuis, maar ook hoe hij de wijn heeft ontdekt en waarom die op de kaart staat. Een absolute aanrader voor een tasting of een lekker glas wijn!

Superfijne plek met alleen kwalieitswijnen en de vrolijke eigenaar heeft indien gewenst bij elke wijn een mooi verhaal. Kortom een plek om je thuis te voelen.

Always have a great time here! The owner does a great job of making you feel really welcome and has extensive knowledge on wine. The sardines are also great!

Deze proeverij was top! De locatie was gezellig, het personeel (de eigenaar!) was vriendelijk en de uitleg over de wijnen was fantastisch. Ik zeg doen!

Wat een gezellige plek aan de ceintuurbaan. Goeie wijn, lekker mensen kijken en de snacks zijn ook niet te missen. Paulus kletst er gezellig bij en weet alles over de wijnen die hij serveert! Een top plek in de Pijp 😉

Wij hebben op zondagmiddag een wijnproeverij gedaan en vijf halve glazen wijn geproefd. We kregen bij ieder glas wijn een fantastische verhaal met toelichting van de wijn. We hadden heerlijke hapjes en werden ook nog eens voorzien van zonnebrand vanuit de wijnbar wegens het warme weer. Zou het honderd procent aanbevelen en zal ook zeker zelf nog een keer terugkomen.
