We invited a few friends to our house for a wine tasting organized by Rijp Wine Bar. Ruben teaches you the tricks of the trade in a fun and clear way. He knows his wines well and can share a lot about them in a very engaging way. It was a fun, delicious, and informative evening. Highly recommended!

I booked a wine tasting for my sister’s hen weekend, and it was exactly what I'd hoped for. We sat outside in the sunshine and the hosts struck a perfect balance between being informative and letting us have fun with it. Wines were paired side by side so we could also really appreciate the differences in flavour. Definitely recommend!

Their food and wine event was excellently organized; I highly recommend participating! The pairings of the wines (chosen by Ruben) and the dishes (deliciously original, made by Janneke) are superb! You receive a relaxed explanation of why these flavors go so well together.

Janneke and Ruben complement each other perfectly, enabling them to put on a fantastic event. The last two times at Kas Keerweer in Amsterdam-West, the ambiance also contributed to these unique Wine & Bites events. Ruben effortlessly adapts to the needs of both novice and more experienced wine drinkers, while Janneke ensures that the menu not only complements the wines but also immediately highlights the effect food can have on wine flavors. Above all, it is very sociable. Go with friends, family, and colleagues. Or go alone and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed the wine and food tasting at Wijnbar Rijp. Eight of us enjoyed the tasting on Sunday afternoon. Owners Fuchs and Janneke made it a real treat. Fuchs explained everything about the wines, and Janneke provided us with matching homemade dishes. Think homemade focaccia, gnocchi, and venison pie—everything was delicious 😋. The explanation was enjoyable for both wine enthusiasts and those without. Afterward, she even told us where we could buy the wines ourselves and we could order a few exclusively. This was only optional, not mandatory. Long story short, a wonderfully informative and enjoyable afternoon❤️
