What a wonderful concept! This is my third time here with a variety of people, and it never gets old. So much fun to introduce family and friends to this wonderful way to spend a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Delicious cheese, wonderful wines, and especially the combination of the two is heavenly. It's also a charming, characteristic square in Noord. Lovely outdoors in the summer and cozy indoors in the winter. Highly recommended!

I love coming to Proeflokaal Kef for Dutch cheese tasting. I am a little and always ask for this specifically. Every time it's a different tasting board, and I always discover really tasty local cheeses with the stories behind them. It's the best way to spend an afternoon in Amsterdam, whether visiting or as a local. The staff is really friendly and explain all cheeses really well. And will always help pick the best pairing whether it's a wine or the charcuterie board (also amazing, all with local products

For years, friends had been recommending me this place, and yes: it really is as good as everyone says. Delicious cheese and the staff are knowledgeable and informative. An added positive surprise was the incredibly delicious alcohol-free wine they served. I'll definitely be back.

We tasted delicious cheeses at Kef with a gift certificate for the Intermédiaire tasting that we received almost two years ago (the certificate expires two years ago). The French-speaking staff member was super friendly and really took the time to explain everything, which—besides the delicious cheeses—was a real highlight for us.

We came here just to sample a small cheese platter and were definitely not disappointed. All the cheeses were explained by the friendly staff in the pleasant outdoor area, and they tasted fantastic. There's also a large selection of wines and drinks, although we didn't try any. If you particularly like them, you can buy them next door, so highly recommended!

On a summer afternoon I had to pick up something at the kef store. The terrace next door looked so inviting that I decided to have a drink, with a small cheese tasting. Everything was TOP: the cheeses, delicious vouvray and super friendly service. And “out of the crowds” of all locations in the center. Highly recommended!

Really good selection. The staff was helpful and let me try to make my decision. They also had butter and eggs. I’ll come back to try the sandwich! Also the area is very chill.

Come for the wine, stay for the cheese. Popped in for a glass of wine and totally impressed by their fromagerie. They match the cheese they give you to the wines that you're drinking. Also conveniently a sun trap. Lovely neighbourhood spot.

What a wonderful surprise this was! We went for the 9 cheese arrangement with 2 glasses of wine. BIG compliment to the ladies in the service who come to give the explanation at the table (on a stool) in a very relaxed way. All with a smile which made our Sunday a perfect afternoon. Afterwards we bought some tasty cheeses and they were also very tasty at home. All in all great formagerie chapeau!

What a fantastic place. Had a wonderful arrangement with cheese and matching wines and a charcuterie plate. The knowledge about the wines and cheese is great and contributes to a very nice evening. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I immediately felt welcome upon entering. Very cozy and small, so reservations are a must. Together with a dessert you will leave here without being hungry. One of my new favorite places in Amsterdam.

We did the cheese tasting with wine pairing and it was delicious, even for someone who isn't big Into cheese. The experience was really fun and the staff were really knowledgeable

A wonderful experience of cheese and wine pairing with expert story telling of the origins of each delicious cheese varietal. This is service at its best, where everyone who works there clearly loves what they do and has great knowledge of both cheese and the wine the serve with its. Put this in a cozy, rustic setting with wooden tables, candles glowing on each table and little stools for the server to take their time to tell each cheese’s story table side and you have a magical experience. We cannot wait to be back some time and bring friends too.

Only praise for Kef's tasting room! Lovely place, cozy atmosphere and the service knows how to talk extensively and passionately about all the cheeses - I learned a lot. Delicious matching wines and certainly not poured sparingly ;) Also nice to give as a gift! Definitely come back

Really we love this place. So nice for some cheese tasting, a glass of wine next to it. We come here frequently and it’s great. Was just very frustrating that they don’t offer the lunch menu without any reason: they have the baguette (as served next to cheese platter) and the cheese (on the cheese platter) but consistently refuse to make a sandwich with it as the lunch menu is not available. This is not on the menu and simply annoying: our guest just wanted a sandwich as she’s not as much a fan of different cheeses as we are.

The girls at Kef present a nice range of cheeses in a cheerful but well-founded manner. Most of them unknown, but as a real cheese head there are also a few recognizable Dutch names. The wine was good but perhaps a little sparingly served. The finishing meat platter wasn't bad either, but next time we'll leave it alone, it wasn't necessary. One point; it wasn't exactly free.

Nos apetecía queso y caímos aquí de casualidad. Ha sido maravilloso!! Una tabla de 5 quesos, a cuál más delicioso, y unas aceitunas. Acompañados de una cerveza holandesa. Además, las chicas que nos han atendido han sido majisimas. Súper recomendable!

Lieu très sympathique serveur très sympa aussi et en plus parlant français. Il nous a expliqué tout les fromages qu'il y avait sur le plat. Ils sont délicieux.

This place is our place to go for cheese tasting, relaxing and having a great time! What I love is that you can clearly see the passion in all the staff, from the way they explain the different cheeses to the way they interact with the customers. This was not our first time here and not the last one for sure! :)

The food is superb, but it is the experience that tops it off - surprise yourself; you won't get disappointed!

Hartelijk, vriendelijk personeel, wat heel veel weet van de kazen, en je op prachtige verhalen vergast over de oorsprong van de kazen en de wijnen. Zalige kaasproeferij met een grote variëteit aan verschillende kazen en smaken. De kaasproeferij bij Kef is er een feestje!

Amazing! Food was excellent, sparkling cider was perfect and the staff were so great and knowledgeable. We'll be back over and over again!

We did a wine and cheese tasting here, and it was 100% worth it. Friendly and knowledgeable staff taught us all about the various cheeses we sampled (about ten cheese total). It was a great and relaxing experience and lasted about two hours. Would highly recommend.

We splurged for a cheese tasting paired with beer (there's also the wine option), and it was so much worth it. These people really like their cheeses and talking about it. They also have an annex store, with dozens (likely a hundred) types of cheeses to take home.

Gelet op de goede beoordelingen had ik hogere verwachtingen en die zijn helaas niet waargemaakt. Prijs is niet het eerste waar wij naar kijken maar als gerecht niet lekker smaakt ....dan krijgt helaas prijs ook bijsmaak. Misschien hebben we gewoon pech gehad!
