Amazing wine selection and cuisine

The place and the food was nice , many wine selection but the service was slow, we waited for 35 mins to get our starter , and even for the wine which wouldn’t take much time to serve , we had to wait like 15 mins to get our first glass of wine. Food was very good but the portion was so small , I’d say mini even , the tacos were tiny, and the main dish was fish supposed to be shared for 2, days on the menu , we expected a full complete fish but I got a fillet, that amount was enough for one person only , we ordered the dessert pastel de nata was baby size, super tiny . The price is a bit over for its portion and it’s not fine dining. Even though the food was good , for the service and the value, I won’t go again .

The restaurant is located in a nice location, has attentive service, complemented by an impressive wine selection. However, the grilled octopus and cauliflower were undercooked, though the oysters stood out for their remarkable freshness.

We came from the Concertgebouw and wanted something to drink and a snack. I looked at the wine list and at the top was a cabernet sauvignon from South Africa. We ordered 3 tacos, which unfortunately were not available, and a bottle of cabernet sauvignon from South Africa. We received a bottle of nice wine, the label was not shown, but in the end we had to pay double the price. Because that was the wine we drank. Nice service, nice location, but pay attention to what you order, before you know it you are paying a lot of money.

Went for dinner for Valentine's Day yesterday. 65 euros for 3 pieces of white fish, 1 scallop, mini piece of chicken and a ready-made lava cake. And then indicate a day in advance that there is a fixed menu, which was very disappointing. Everything took a very long time. Only plus was the great waitress. But very disappointing Valentine's evening for us. We could laugh about it with the table next to us because they thought exactly the same. But this was a real flop!

Beautiful place, beautiful dishes, top wines! But everything is 'way to overpriced'... And very little food. We left hungry and had a snack at the neighbors' house because we were still hungry. They are not big eaters, but 1 piece of scallop as a dish is really little. Followed by a main course that was served 35 minutes later, which tasted delicious, but was so little. A mini potato crisp and a spring chicken the size of my index finger. It stood at the pass for a long time under the heat lamp, because a drying skin had appeared on the sauce. So disappointing again. But then we had to pay €250. We thought it was almost rudely expensive. It all tastes great, but definitely not worth returning to ever again.

Hermoso, pequeño restaurante en una parte encantadora de Amsterdam, no lejos del Concertgebouw y museos. Personal amable y profesional, buena comida y selección de vinos. Reserva requerida.

Comida deliciosa, buen servicio. Gran ambiente, no ruidoso. Las opciones vegetarianas en el menú son deliciosas (pero no mucho para elegir)

Food is is worth what you pay, it’s really delicious!

Started walking randomly from the nearby park and landed on this amazing wine bar. It’s a beautiful high-end area and neighbourhood ofc, but I personally found the staff and seating arrangements at Lillie pretty chill. Staff was really friendly and kind, I had the amazing cod, white wine and sparkling pictured below. Would defo return in a future business trip to Amsterdam. The octopus and some of the starters and bites looked equally impressive. The outdoors seating in Summer really made my day. Strong recommend!

Everything was good!!!! except the fries. that's why 1 star less.. and probably why I wouldn't go there again!

Food is very good. The cheese plate was great and we had the pulpo that was also delicious. Wine selection is good and interesting. A bit pricy. Service is very friendly. Atmosphere is better upstairs, downstairs where we were lost a bit of the charm of the place.

Why this place has so many stars? The food was absolutely bad, they pretend to be fine dining but they are actually the typical bar in Amsterdam. The gamba’s deep fried, with some sesame so it looks more sophisticated. The eggplant was cold! And the frog legs were absolutely destroyed by oil and I don’t know what sauce. The wine was the only good thing, the rest is simply a superficial dish covered in fine dining plating and overrated narratives .

This place is truly a hidden gem. Tucked away in a quiet residential area, it’s a quaint little restaurant with a cozy charm. The staff are wonderful—friendly and attentive—and the service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious, and the wine was perfect. It was truly one of the highlights of our stay. Highly recommended!

Upon entering it looks cozy and the restaurant has an upstairs and downstairs section, but you should actually avoid ending up in the dark, windowless downstairs section. The price-quality ratio really leaves much to be desired; the prices for both dishes and wines are simply too high for what you get. The cheapest bottle of wine is on the menu for no less than 40 euros, which is of course too expensive for a type of restaurant like this. Unfortunately, the lack of attention to detail is also clearly evident. In the corner was an old bouquet of wilted flowers in dirty water that did not look fresh and clean. We also received a drinks menu that was literally a crumpled piece of paper. The service also left much to be desired. Although they were friendly, there seemed to be little coordination between them. Several employees repeatedly asked us the same questions, which made a messy impression, and the man serving did not smell fresh. The menu is not very exciting - steak tartare, shrimp croquettes, beef tenderloin - but the dishes are delicious and the plates are beautifully presented.

Cozy dining with a great selection of wine

Very nice selection of wines, the menu is also good, the dishes very good but a little too expensive. I guess the neighborhood pays for itself. The service is great! We have very good advice! Atmosphere level is pleasant, the music, the decor, everything is very neat.

Lillie was a huge disappointment. We were told there were no available reservations, but when we arrived, the entire patio, bar, and inside seating were empty. It was clear they just didn’t want to accommodate us. We felt discriminated against for not being Dutch. Very disappointing experience—won’t be back.

Great atmosphere, delicious food (if you like meat, the tenderloin is excellent), fun wine selection of wines that you might not have tried before. Definitely worth a visit.

Un encantador restaurante con excelentes vinos en un rincón tranquilo en Oud Zuid, pero a 1 minuto del ajetreo alrededor de Concertgebouw y el museo Van Gogh. El personal era atento y amable. ¡Pide el pulpo!

Wij hebben met een grote groep bij Lillie’s buiten op het terras gegeten. De bediening was super vriendelijk, locatie top en het eten echt heerlijk. Leuk detail, de bediening weet alles over de wijnen te vertellen, een echte aanrader!

Good food, special flavors. Nice location and pleasant vibe. Service sweet and friendly but really a bit chaotic. Very long wait times for our food. Very long. And it wasn’t even that busy. Price level is a bit high. Some dishes ok, some too expensive. Example, the dessert of three ice scoops of euro 14 that’s just too sturdy. Or a run of the mill Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa for 40 euros is also a bit much. All in all a nice experience. But won’t recommend it.

Lillie Wine Rebel es una pequeña joya no lejos del barrio principal del museo, pero lo suficientemente remoto como para ser un oasis culinario y tranquilo en Amsterdam. Disfrutamos de una deliciosa cena un sábado por la noche entre lugareños y turistas. El servicio es excelente y el menú bien compuesto. Sin duda un lugar que volveremos a visitar la próxima vez que estemos en Amsterdam.

Excellent, fresh pulpo that was cooked properly. Big and juicy fresh gumbas and a good wine selection. Terrace tables on a more quiet corner. Food and wine were really good value for money and resrevation wasn't needed.

Wonderful experience! Staff was welcoming and attentive, the (seasonal) food offers were matching the vibe. The wine list is interesting. The Aligoté I had was exceptional. The building itself is located in a quiet street in the nice museums quartier. The interior is elegant and there is a cozy outdoor area as well. Prices are a bit higher but worth it for the area and quality. Very happy to have found this gem and I hope you guys keep up the good work. 🍷✨🥂

Excellent place to eat. We were staying nearby so we stopped in for dinner. Very friendly staff. They have a great wine list. The food is top notch. Great place to relax and enjoy a great meal and drinks. Octopus was excellent. Scallops were amazing.

Nice place, but it lacks some aspects as a wine bar. First of all, it is noticeable that the red wines (even the more expensive bottles) are not stored in a wine climate cabinet. The opened bottle was immediately poured full into the glass without a request for a taster. The food was okay. Grilled even nice and crispy. Please serve ribeye without sauce from now on.

Lugar muy chic, decorado muy bien. Safi es un anfitrión increíble, la comida es genial, buena lista de vinos. Situado en un bonito barrio lejos de las masas turísticas pero no tan lejos, a poca distancia en taxi o incluso se puede caminar. Tuvimos 2 vegetarianos en el grupo que apreciaron enormemente las opciones de verduras. Todos los platos eran muy buenos, gran experiencia en general.

Lovely neighbourhood winebar (not for tourists!). Nice vibe, fantastic sommelier. Unfortunately she was also the only person to provide service, the other person we had to call him or walk to him. The sommelier made sure we had enjoyable wines that paired well with the food. The main dishes had small portions, while the catch of the day was a good portion. This seemed quite strange. But the food itself was very good! We will definitely come back to enjoy the terrace and the expertise and gezelligheid of the sommelier.

Old-fashioned good service. Service with a listening ear and genuinely attentive. What a relief. This is how you start a great evening. The wine list is special, balanced and full of surprises. The kitchen also serves a number of masterpieces. In short, recommended. If you like food, wine and good atmosphere.

I love this place for its atmosphere - you’re sitting amongst beautiful architecture and greenery in a tranquil Amsterdam street. Service is good, with attentive staff. Wine selection is also very good and extensive. When it comes to food, the combination of ingredients is good , the menu is well put together but the portions are really really tiny. Though Holland is known for small portions, this is really small. You’d have to order 2-3 main dishes next to an appetizer to have a proper meal. And it’s not a food sharing concept…I believe this leave a customer unsatisfied because either they didn’t eat well or they had to spend much more money than the menu would suggest. Perhaps an approach is to have a sharing portion or for few extra bucks a normal size main course portion. The beautiful place like this one deserves to have top noch food too.

Very nice staff, unfortunately the food quality is not there (octopus is not fresh but frozen). Service also took ages when we had dinner there as they were clearly understaffed (and forgot to put in our food order)

Service, wine selection, atmosphere and the location is quite nice. Menu is also well curated but the quality of cooking wasn’t inline with the expectations. Roasted Cauliflower was still very raw and octopus was overcooked. I have been there only once, maybe it was a one day only incident.

Stumbled across this place our first night in Amsterdam and wish we were here longer to come back again and again! The food and wine were both fantastic, and our waiters were incredible. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Enjoyed oysters, shrimp Croquettes, pulpo, grilled veggies, cheese and wine wine and more wine!

We have been here for a few times and we simply love it. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam. The service is so special, the atmosphere is very nice, you have different wine offers and a good choice of different plates to complete the experience. Highly recommended!

Super yummy! Cozy atmosphere. One of the better places around! Super friendly staff! We did have to prompt the service quite a lot but it was extremely busy and we got our drinks and food anyway and truly enjoyed it!

The place had a really nice vibe, but the food took forever to come. And the steak I ordered was well done instead of medium like I asked for. When I'm paying 40 euros for a steak, I expect it to be cooked right. On top of that, they don't even take cash, which they should've told us from the start.

Casually found this walking to another restaurant and decided to stop as the menu looked delish! What a lovely surpise, the staff has been lovely and so welcoming, made us feel like we were at home as they were so genuinely friendly. The food was just the perfect mix of flavours and their selection of wines will surpise you. Totally a must try. We wanted to go back to try different dishes but unfortunately they were already closed.

Unfortunately, I found it a bit mediocre/disappointing. Lillie is known for its drinks, but the bar seemed to have adopted a new concept. The restaurant is divided into two parts: downstairs for drinks and upstairs there is a restaurant. You can have dinner here. We came to have a drink and also wanted to order snacks. The part downstairs was too busy and mainly standing room, the other part was more furnished for more elegant dining. We haven't tried that, so I can't comment further on that. Our preference was for the bites, we used to order a drinks board like in the photos, they didn't have that. In the end we ordered bitterballen. In principle we could have ordered wine and bitterballen anywhere, it wasn't that special. Especially for that price.

Very cozy restaurant Very friendly service and very knowledgeable!! Pearl in old South Amsterdam. Definitely worth a visit! Delicious carrot tartare. And the steak tartare. Actually the entire menu is delicious. And don't forget delicious wines.

I really like this cosy neighborhood wine bar. They serve really tasty dishes, burrata salad was a treat. They have good selection of wine, good service and cosy vibe. Definitely one of my go to places, when I’d like to have slow night with some delicious food.

A good, diverse wine selection and service was great. We also got a gin, but I wouldn't recommend this. Stick to the wines.

If you're looking for a restaurant having a combination of really nice/friendly service and very tasty food this is the place to go to. Not too expensive at all, reasonable prices. Amsterdam is not know for friendly staff, so this is a very nice exception, although it's getting better lately in Amsterdam. Anyway, Lillie seems to be run by a lady (Safi is the name I think), who has an impressive memory, as regardless of the nr of people, she doesn't need a notebook. Great wine selection, many from Eastern Europe (recommended!) and the 'standard' from Southern Europe are included as well. Music not too loud luckily, so you can enjoy your food while having conversations for which you don't need to raise your voice. We enjoyed it a lot and will surely return.

Went to eat with a group, the service was poor and we even had the impression that the waiter was drunk. He couldn't tell us anything about the wines and had forgotten to serve a dish. We did get our money back, but we left the table hungry.

Cute area, a bit more old school food and wine selection. Bread was truly too basic to even pay for it, plates looked homemade and not necessarily fine winery or restaurant - overall basic.

Unfortunately, our evening was disappointing. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but service was very confusing, and the food wasn’t great. The cheese and charcuterie platter was small, the octopus was undercooked and the meat was cold (perhaps intentionally, as it came in a rocket salad). Please note it is a wine bar, not a restaurant. The menu is small and only has bites, no mains.

We came back here for the first time since the Lillie rebrand after being big fans of de Wijnkaart (5 stars for de Wijnkaart!), and overall were left a little disappointed. No longer can you get a glass of bubbles for less than €7 (they now only offer €15-16 glasses), and €26 for a charcuterie + cheese plate that had quite small portions of 2 types of meat + cheese each seems a bit excessive. The decor is no longer as homey or gezellig, and perhaps it was their night off, but we also missed the old staff (though the ladies who served us were pleasant and helpful). Not sure this is our favorite neighborhood wine bar anymore.

Really cute place! As it's so close to the Concertgebouw, we stopped by before a performance, but we will definitely be coming back for a more extended tasting. The wine selection was great (we had an orange Georgian wine) and so was the food (the octopus and the creme brule were the biggest winners for me). The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is stylish but relaxed.

Mooie locatie en zaak, en de feta kroketjes waren heerlijk, maar.. de kaas- en charcuterieplank is te veel duur voor wat je krijgt en bovendien ontbrak het vers fruit dat wel op de kaart hierbij stond. Ter compensatie zou er “extra” gedroogd fruit zijn gegeven, maar er lagen welgeteld 4 halve dadels dus dan vraag je je af hoeveel je normaal krijgt. Teveel wijn op de bon gezet, wat kan gebeuren, maar de bediening was niet vriendelijk en oplossingsgericht. Verder gaf de bediening ook geen behulpzame uitleg bij het kiezen van de wijn terwijl Lillie wel onconventionele wijnen schenkt en uitleg dus prettig is.
