Fat Phill’s Amstelstation in Frankendael

The portions are tasty but very small. I had one single truffle burger, one Philly steak sandwich, and one portion of buffalo fries, and I wasn't full. It's far too little for nearly €50.

It’s delicious! I ordered the Soy Honey Chicken Combo (with fries and cola); the chicken was tender and the seasoning was well-absorbed. The place wasn’t too crowded, so it was a comfortable spot to hang out before heading off 😂. The fries were also good—the seasoning was flavorful and didn't just feel like a light coating. As for the sauce, if you're eating as a pair, ordering one is enough because they give you a generous amount for the fries.

Fast food in Amsterdam is quite expensive for the amount of food they offer. It's good, but the sandwiches are small and expensive for a fast food restaurant. It's okay, though.

Buffalo wings - good. Well cooked. Not overcooked. Fries - not good. Frozen from the bag crinkle cut. Coleslaw - bad. Avoid. Vega / vegan burger - not good. Avoid. Like a mushy beetroot thing. Not a Beyond/impossible type patty. Mac and cheese - not good. Like Kraft Mac and cheese. Vanilla milkshake - decent.

First time at Fat Phil's and definitely not the last. The truffle burger, triple cheeseburger, and loaded fries were next level 🔥 So delicious and the staff is super friendly. We'll be back.

After shopping yesterday, I headed home via Amstel Station, but the Fatphills looked so impressive that I had to make a stop. No regrets! So delicious, the truffle burger with Parmesan cheese was absolutely delicious! And the atmosphere was great! Wonderfully busy, but still plenty of seating. You'll see me here often 😋

Very disappointing. We ordered our meals from Fat Phills and sat down to eat, but a child wasn't even allowed to eat a simple McDonald's Happy Meal at the table. They were very unfriendly and completely uncooperative. We supported their cause by ordering from them ourselves, and yet they made a fuss about it. Poor customer service and absolutely not child-friendly. A real shame.

I came here for dinner yesterday with my parents, and I can say it's a friendly and good place to eat. The service is perfect; you're greeted warmly upon arrival, and your questions are answered effectively. The food is deliciously fresh and well-prepared. So all in all, I highly recommend this place!

Delicious cheeseburger with fries and melted cheese and truffle mayonnaise. Good burger and friendly staff. A bit of a stark, impersonal interior, but that's not unusual for burger joints. However, their burgers are a real upgrade from the expected burgers. A more personal atmosphere would be a good fit. Even without these interior changes, I'll definitely be back. I'd love to try more of their selection.

FatPhilss near the Amstel has an extensive menu, which is truly incredible. My friends and I had the Truffle Burger, which we were already wondering about, like, "What is a truffle burger?" The counter staff showed us everything that goes on the burger. Jam too?? Yes, Jam makes it spectacular. It was delicious; it melts away the moment you taste it! This is a real must-visit. The music and the team that works there complete the vibe!

I was quite disappointed with the price. Two burgers, loaded fries, and two cokes for €49. The quality was better than, say, Mac, but the fries were soaked in grease, and I found the burger very salty and rather flavorless (the homemade sauce).

I’m not sure why they have such low reviews. Best cheesy fries I had in a while and the lemon chicken something were also pretty great.

On the recommendation of colleagues, I went here today, and I'm glad I did. The Triple Cheeseburger tasted fantastic. It might be considered fast food, but the quality is far superior to McDonald's and Burger King. The price might be a bit higher, but true meat lovers are happy to pay that price for the quality and quantity. The staff is friendly, and the food arrived in 15 minutes. The restaurant looked open and hygienic, and the atmosphere was good. I'll be a regular from now on. Next time, I'll go for the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich.

service was great. sadly the fries were bad. they were wayyy too salty and for the price i expected a sauce with them but its just soft fries with spices. the bruger wasnt special sadly. wanted to like the food but just couldn’t. the price isn’t worth it at all.

Had two double cheeseburger meals - was enjoying a good quality burger, but got 80 percent through and all I had was a mouthful of salt. I finished the burger with a struggle. Then I had the seasoned fries which came with the meal and they were even saltier. Tried it, was ok - but not again.

The food was good, the service was good... Price-wise, well, that's just different. All Smash Burger joints are quite pricey, but you do get a full stomach and real food. Otherwise, you can always go across the street to a stinking McDonald's, same prices, but then you get a plastic burger and fries made from nothing but potatoes!

Very expensive for what you get (€45 for two people, a simple burger with a drink and a side dish). The burger meat tasted a bit strange, almost like lamb. The mozzarella sticks were lukewarm and the inside wasn't very moist. There wasn't much sauce. Next time, I'll go back to the McDonald's across the street.

Often walked past on Amstel. And yesterday finally walked in. Was very tasty. Price, quality, quantity, right. Recommended!!!!

If you are a Drake fan you will have the time of your life because they love blasting Drake hahah. The burgers are tasty but can be pretty pricey. But the pricing for sides is actually diabolical... Paying 4 euros for 2 bites of basic coleslaw felt like a violation. My advice is just get a combo deal and leave it at that. Service wise I did not experience any issues the few times I went, food came after a reasonable wait and staff was friendly enough. All in all if you like burgers and Drake, give it a shot

The place was extremely dirty and run by a couple of 14 year olds, paid for extra sauce and didn't get any sauce at all.

Conveniently located outside of the train station, this Fat Phill's has much to offer. Amazing burgers with many options, delicious various sides with a unique twist. The cheese sauce is very American and is a super good pairing option with the fries. I was surprised that they also accept cash! This location specifically is well worth checking out.

The burger I had was excellent. The meat was good, and the flavor combination was generally perfect. The prices are higher than at McDonald's or similar places, but the higher quality definitely makes it more worthwhile to eat here.

Got half of my order from the woman in the headscarf. The food was decent, but I didn't expect miracles. You can find a better Philly cheesesteak at the Popov sandwich.

I ordered a truffle burger for €13.50. It wasn't bad, but definitely subpar for the price. The bun was good. I didn't really like the meat. Lots of sauce, maybe too much. The restaurant was good and easy to reach by public transport. It has indoor and outdoor seating. For me the meat burger was really delicious, but for the chicken burger I give it a 6/10. I recommend trying the restaurant, and I will definitely come back for the meat burger.

We had an incredibly disappointing experience at Fat Phills location Amstelstation during lunch. We were unnecessarily disturbed several times by the staff, who claimed we were speaking too loudly. This was definitely not the case, especially considering the restaurant was virtually empty. The manager justified this by saying she has ADHD and couldn't work if customers were "too loud". This was not only inappropriate but also very uncomfortable for us as guests. To make matters worse, the music was even turned up louder to apparently annoy us. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and not hospitable at all. We will certainly not return here and advise everyone not to eat here.

Received this from my wife, normally she always gets me a shake, you pay something for it, but she does it because I like it so much... it has chocolate in it, it is nicely prepared and tasty... However, this is of course not a style to deliver for that kind of money... this is not a Phill Shake at all!!! So my wife asks for her money back and gets a snarling employee who gives her her money back in 50 cents with a dirty grin on her face... it's just so bad to puke! SUPER BAD SERVICE AND NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!! I will also advise everyone I know against Fat Phills, poor service from employees who just mess around and don't care about customer loyalty, the shakes are not what they used to be... BAH 🫤

Absolutely fantastic! This fast-food restaurant has taken the classic combo of loaded fries and hamburgers to a whole new level. The only downside is that it’s very pricy.

In the end we went along with the hype and decided to go to Fat Phills, but it was unbelievable how disappointing it was. I went to dinner with 2 friends, firstly the burgers were hard to eat (which you would expect for the enormous prices). The meat tasted strange and chemical and the chicken teryiaki wings cost 9 euros but tasted like you would get them at the local snack bar with a deep fryer that contains an incredible amount of fat. All in all, an adventure to quickly forget and we will not return here.
