Best burger place in the Netherlands

The burgers were very tasty, highly recommended. The fries were less good, with hardly any seasoning on them and no salt. And they forgot my drink.

Absolutely top service and I received the food quickly too. And the food was delicious.

Unfortunately, in our opinion, the burgers were definitely not worth the price. We think €15-20 for a set is a significant price considering the quality, taste, and what you actually get. The burger didn't impress us with either the flavor or the ingredients. Honestly, there's McDonald's across the street, and for about a third of that price, we think you can get a better burger. The service, however, is a big plus – very friendly, polite, and helpful; we have absolutely no complaints there. In summary: the service was great, but the value for money was definitely a negative. At €15-20 for a set (burger, fries, drink), we expected something much better from the burger.

This is a solid place if you want rich filling food and the people working here are great. I got the Nashville spicy chicken and, oh my, it was gooood. I ordered sweet potato fries and it was burnt; however, I asked for it to be remade and they didn’t make any kind of fuss about it and made a new one right away! People have to understand that these are people at the end of the day and mistakes are made. If you ask nicely you will most likely to have a better outcome and the new one they made was great. I highly recommend!

The sandwiches were very good, even the fries were delicious and crunchy. The guys who work there are friendly and nice.

Double Chicken cheese burger was extraordinary delicious, crunchy, freshly hot made, plus garlic truffle mayonnaise adds up to the burger.

Fat Phill's serves burgers that are actually filling! You won't be hungry again an hour later. The quality and portions are great, making it a satisfying meal. I also love the fact that the concept was created by an Iranian entrepreneur. It's always inspiring to see fellow Persians build a successful brand!

The food was amazing. Best burger in Amsterdam for sure. There was one guy named Akash makes the best burger.

One of the best juicy burgers I’ve ever had! The wings were absolutely incredible, and the sauce was simply unbeatable. We enjoyed them so much that we came back the very next day and ordered again. the service was outstanding. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Everything was fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection. If we weren’t from Germany, you would definitely see us here much more often. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back whenever we’re in town!

The food and service are excellent. Unfortunately, you can only pay by card at the terminal. The food is prepared quickly and is incredibly delicious. I found the buffalo wings had way too much sauce, and the fries were excessively salty. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Amsterdam.

The chicken burger looked promising, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The chicken felt a bit raw and slimy, causing me to stop eating after two bites (because I didn't trust it). Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. All in all: fine, but I will skip the chicken burger next time!

Dont be misleaded! On the picks the burgers seem thick but in reality thinner than a dime. And crazy expensive! Reception was oke. (don't understand the positive reviews. Friends of the owner?)

Almost 19 euros for a small portion of overly salty fries, a middle-of-the-road cheese burger with soggy meat instead of crispy bacon—it’s enough to make you cry. Staff only concerned with each other. Anything to give you a miserable experience.

I got a cheeseburger that had such a small patty that I could barely taste the beef. The bun was cold as well. Their chicken wings are ok but the chicken burgers and tenders are not good. The cheese sauce is good with the fries but like everything else, not good value for the price.

Hanan is amazing. So helpful and friendly. I will definitely come back often to eat because of her. This is my first time here, and after meeting her, I will come more often. The fries were tasty, just like the shake and tea. Compliments. Hanan is a wonderful person, an asset to the company.

Nice place with a hip atmosphere. Inviting. The double cappuccino was much needed so late in the evening and was brought to the table quickly. The sweet potato fries with drippin' cheese and truffle mayonnaise: chef's kiss. Very helpful staff, but Hannan is a gem.

Food is simple, and for us, definitely not worth the price point. There is a burger king nearby which is more tasty and cheaper. The philly cheesesteak tasted like it had burned bits in it. The bread was soggy and sad and the meat was chewy. The vega cheese burger was boring. It tasted mostly like bread and veggieburger, the cheese and sauce didn't bring enough flavour to the burger.

The portions are very small for the price. The smash burger portion was so small that I could see through parts of my burger. I wouldn't mind but a burger fries for two people was more than 40€.

Fast food in Amsterdam is quite expensive for the amount of food they offer. It's good, but the sandwiches are small and expensive for a fast food restaurant. It's okay, though.

Buffalo wings - good. Well cooked. Not overcooked. Fries - not good. Frozen from the bag crinkle cut. Coleslaw - bad. Avoid. Vega / vegan burger - not good. Avoid. Like a mushy beetroot thing. Not a Beyond/impossible type patty. Mac and cheese - not good. Like Kraft Mac and cheese. Vanilla milkshake - decent.

First time at Fat Phil's and definitely not the last. The truffle burger, triple cheeseburger, and loaded fries were next level 🔥 So delicious and the staff is super friendly. We'll be back.

After shopping yesterday, I headed home via Amstel Station, but the Fatphills looked so impressive that I had to make a stop. No regrets! So delicious, the truffle burger with Parmesan cheese was absolutely delicious! And the atmosphere was great! Wonderfully busy, but still plenty of seating. You'll see me here often 😋

I came here for dinner yesterday with my parents, and I can say it's a friendly and good place to eat. The service is perfect; you're greeted warmly upon arrival, and your questions are answered effectively. The food is deliciously fresh and well-prepared. So all in all, I highly recommend this place!

Very disappointing. We ordered our meals from Fat Phills and sat down to eat, but a child wasn't even allowed to eat a simple McDonald's Happy Meal at the table. They were very unfriendly and completely uncooperative. We supported their cause by ordering from them ourselves, and yet they made a fuss about it. Poor customer service and absolutely not child-friendly. A real shame.

However, their burgers are a real upgrade from the expected burgers. A more personal atmosphere would be a good fit. Even without these interior changes, I'll definitely be back. I'd love to try more of their selection.

FatPhilss near the Amstel has an extensive menu, which is truly incredible. My friends and I had the Truffle Burger, which we were already wondering about, like, "What is a truffle burger?" The counter staff showed us everything that goes on the burger. Jam too?? Yes, Jam makes it spectacular. It was delicious; it melts away the moment you taste it! This is a real must-visit. The music and the team that works there complete the vibe!

I was quite disappointed with the price. Two burgers, loaded fries, and two cokes for €49. The quality was better than, say, Mac, but the fries were soaked in grease, and I found the burger very salty and rather flavorless (the homemade sauce).

I’m not sure why they have such low reviews. Best cheesy fries I had in a while and the lemon chicken something were also pretty great.

On the recommendation of colleagues, I went here today, and I'm glad I did. The Triple Cheeseburger tasted fantastic. It might be considered fast food, but the quality is far superior to McDonald's and Burger King. The price might be a bit higher, but true meat lovers are happy to pay that price for the quality and quantity. The staff is friendly, and the food arrived in 15 minutes. The restaurant looked open and hygienic, and the atmosphere was good. I'll be a regular from now on. Next time, I'll go for the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich.

Had two double cheeseburger meals - was enjoying a good quality burger, but got 80 percent through and all I had was a mouthful of salt. I finished the burger with a struggle. Then I had the seasoned fries which came with the meal and they were even saltier. Tried it, was ok - but not again.

The food was good, the service was good... Price-wise, well, that's just different. All Smash Burger joints are quite pricey, but you do get a full stomach and real food. Otherwise, you can always go across the street to a stinking McDonald's, same prices, but then you get a plastic burger and fries made from nothing but potatoes!

Very expensive for what you get (€45 for two people, a simple burger with a drink and a side dish). The burger meat tasted a bit strange, almost like lamb. The mozzarella sticks were lukewarm and the inside wasn't very moist. There wasn't much sauce. Next time, I'll go back to the McDonald's across the street.

Often walked past on Amstel. And yesterday finally walked in. Was very tasty. Price, quality, quantity, right. Recommended!!!!

If you are a Drake fan you will have the time of your life because they love blasting Drake hahah. The burgers are tasty but can be pretty pricey. But the pricing for sides is actually diabolical... Paying 4 euros for 2 bites of basic coleslaw felt like a violation. My advice is just get a combo deal and leave it at that. Service wise I did not experience any issues the few times I went, food came after a reasonable wait and staff was friendly enough. All in all if you like burgers and Drake, give it a shot
