Excellent concept of fast-food chain. The customizable burgers are worth the high price and the wait at peak times. The fries taste very fresh with large portions for a single person (unless it's for five guys). Nice music (US soft rock). The drinks are quite expensive (4€+ for a watered-down soda) but you can refill.

I had been looking forward to eating at Five Guys for weeks, and in the end a friend and I even travelled to Utrecht just to eat there. The burger was really good, which is obviously the most important part, but the prices are honestly extremely high. I also think it is a shame that even the small fries are such a huge portion. It might make more sense to turn the current small portion into a medium and introduce an actual smaller portion at a lower price. We ordered the seasoned fries, but unfortunately they were absolutely covered in seasoning. After about seven or eight fries, neither of us could eat any more. There was simply far too much seasoning on them and they really did not taste good because of it. The milkshake was fine. For some reason, I remember it tasting better a few years ago, although I could be mistaken. The restaurant itself could also have a slightly warmer and more welcoming atmosphere. The employee calling out the order numbers seemed quite grumpy, although I can understand how frustrating it must be to repeat a number six times before someone finally comes to collect their food and drinks. Perhaps this could be solved with an order screen, similar to McDonald’s, combined with a small sound whenever an order is ready. Overall, the burger, which was the main reason we came, was very tasty. Unfortunately, most of the rest of the experience was a bit disappointing.

The most overpriced, mediocre, soggy (yet somehow very dry) and bland burger I've ever had. Fries were okay though. If you want a better and more affordable burger it's a better idea to just go to a local decent quality snackbar. Absolutely not worth it.

The potatoes were too spicy , and the hamburger is dry and has not salt at all. When you eat together it did not balanced , you need salt to put in . The first experience , a rude awakening. Only drinks were satisfying for me. If you want burger try anywhere else .

Located right on the bustling station square, this is a great stop for fresh fast food in Utrecht. Their burgers are high quality, and the unlimited free toppings let you build whatever you like. Pair that with their famous hand-cut Cajun fries and a drink from the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, and you get a really satisfying meal. It is often very busy due to the foot traffic from the train station and mall, but the service is efficient and friendly. If you're looking for a good burger on the go, you definitely won't be disappointed.

I think it is over-rated. Because burger bread was stale and cold. 🥶 We ordered dine in but they prepared like take away. It was same for everyone no tray at all. Patty’s and fries are delicious. However they have huge price difference with other burger chains, with this price difference I would expect more for sure.

The service is amazing! Although they speak English, that's just how it is in the big city!! But the staff is driven!! For fast food, this is simply really top-notch food! You should have more restaurants in the Netherlands (preferably in Friesland, where I come from). I give the atmosphere 3 stars because I don't find the lighting beautiful or pleasant; I would like to see a different color palette that fits in better with the Netherlands. And which would make the food taste even better! The refills are also good! It is pricey, but you know what you're paying for, and you can taste it!!!

I wanted to try it because I'm from Türkiye, but I didn't like it. The bread was cold and seemed stale. It felt like I was eating a hamburger that had been sitting for minutes. The fries were bad too.

Five Guys standard. You know what you're getting here. Despite its proximity to the main train station, it's very clean and the food is top-notch. Seating inside is more limited than elsewhere, but there are also a few seats outside.

With the warm weather, had a drink inside Arco; a large cup of drink for a few euros and you can refill it again.

I ordered a cheeseburger and a small Cajun fries and ended up paying €19.10. Before going in, I expected it to be expensive. It is definitely pricier than most fast-food places, but you also get a lot more food. The fries were good and served very hot, although they were too salty. The "small" fries portion was large. The burger itself was also a good size and nice and juicy, which is something you don't always get at fast-food restaurants. However, I found it bland. The toppings, especially the pickles, had good flavor, but the burger itself could have used a bit more seasoning. (I really recommend toppings if you order a burger) The service was good. I waited about 5 - 10 minutes for my order, but that was because they were throwing away an old batch of fries and making a fresh one, which I actually appreciated. The restaurant was clean, and I regularly saw staff members cleaning tables. The interior does feel very much like a typical fast-food restaurant, but it was well maintained. One thing I liked was that the staff seemed happy and were chatting with each other. I personally prefer that over places where everyone looks miserable. Happy staff improve the atmosphere. Overall, I think most people would be completely satisfied with a burger and a small fries, as I struggled to finish everything myself. I'd definitely consider coming back when I'm really hungry and craving fast food.

Still a notch above Kürger Bing and McDonald's. You pay a bit more, but then you get drink refills, as much sauce as you want, and a slightly more upscale burger. Unfortunately, fast food is getting pricey.

The hamburger was simply indescribably delicious 👍🏻 The fries were as always very good, unique to the place 👍🏻 The fact that you can refill your beverage glass again and again and the variety of drinks is great 👍🏻 It's fun to pass the time eating peanuts while waiting for your order 👍🏻 However, it wasn't very nice that they gave us our order in a paper bag instead of a tray, even though we stated that we would eat in the restaurant. It would have been more comfortable if we could have received it on a tray 👎🏻 Apart from that, everything was great 🤜🏻🤛🏻

A spitting image of American franchised locations, offering the same menu items found in the states. Entering the restaurant was the same experience back home, with the only difference being the touchscreens you order from, instead of at the counter. If you're looking for American comfort food, this is definitely a place to go.

If you're looking to grab a meal, you're better off avoiding this place. I ordered a burger with a medium portion of fries, a sauce, and a drink, and specified that I would be eating in. Instead of a tray, they handed me a greasy bag, with the burger thrown at the bottom and fries dumped on top of it halfway up. The sauce wasn’t included at all. Very generous, of course, but I had to eat through an entire portion of fries just to dig out my burger. The burger itself looked like someone had sat on it beforehand. And for all this, I paid twice as much as I would at a well-known fast food chain. In one word: a dump!

Tasty food, only lots of big hamburgers; it is quite expensive and the food is quite greasy, but otherwise good.

I don't write many reviews, but gladly make an exception here. The limp, fatty fries went almost straight to the bin. Probably they're this expensive because you get 4 euros worth of salt on them. Even kids didn't want to eat them.

If you go to Five Guys, you know exactly what to expect — and that’s exactly what you get here in Utrecht. The atmosphere is just as good as in any Five Guys around the world, the food tastes exactly as it should, and the quality is consistent. The staff are friendly, the place is clean, and even the restrooms were well maintained. Yes, prices at Five Guys are on the higher side, but that’s something you should already know before going. All in all, a solid experience with no surprises — in a good way. Full marks.

Slow and unattentive. The staff ignores your presence as much as they can. Space is dirty like station hall. For 15 eur you get tiny burger low quality febo/mac style. I feel cheated!

I ate here tonight. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed. To be fair, the burger was good. I thought the price was too high, and the soft drink had absolutely no flavor. My colleagues ordered fries, but they forgot. They got a drink as compensation, but the soft drinks didn't taste good either... I won't be going back here anytime soon.

They often say they're open when they're actually closed. They don't adhere to the hours on the front.

Travelled 1 hour to eat, online says that the owner verified they were open 4 weeks ago. Restaurant looks like it’s open employees are there and entering the store. A line outside waiting for them to open, 30 minutes after they are supposed to be open a customer waves down an employee entering the store and asks when they are going to be open. Just to be informed they will not be opening today. No signs outside saying they are closed for the day. Employee happily let customers stand outside in the rain without informing them they were closed. While I understand things happen it should be common sense to inform your customers that you are not opening.

Staff who have never heard of customer service, a filthy mess inside, and they charge top prices for their citizens.

Unfortunately, the first time at Five Guys couldn't make much of it. The tables and floor were all dirty, and the day had just begun. The price was expensive, although the hamburger was excellent, but the drinks were unbearable due to the very poor ratio of water to cola syrup (the same for Fanta and Sprit). Furthermore, there were no restrooms in the restaurant.

The staff speaks English, so if you only speak Dutch, it's nice that they have an ordering station so you can choose what you want at your leisure. The Burger was good although quite to big to fit into the mouth without cutting or squeezing, cajun fries are not recommended far to much seasoning to enjoy. Overall overpriced, taste of the burger was good, fries were horrible.

First of all, the staff is friendly and helpful. I ordered a cheese burger, fries, and a milkshake. The flavor isn't worth the money. You can get the same flavor at other burger chains for half the price. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment.

It's a nice concept that you can choose your toppings and sauce at no extra cost. However, they'd put the lettuce leaf on top, so by the time I got home, the grease from the burger soaked into the bun and became a bit soggy. It's also a shame they don't toast the bun; it feels a bit like putting unbaked bread in your mouth. The fries are otherwise tasty, but the peanut flavor is very strong (they're fried in peanut oil). The price on the sign didn't match the price on the takeaway counter (perhaps a very high packaging surcharge?). Otherwise, it was ready quickly, and I was very hungry, so it's a good/okay burger and three stars.
