I really love this restaurant and the threat of the Waitress and the quality of the meat and other ingredients 😋 Smash Burgers here are delicious 😋

The food was tasty. But the atmosphere could be a bit friendlier.

Beautiful building, but one person on the grill and one girl in the back preparing chicken. At 12:30 pm lunch but many open free tables. Service was very delayed and slow. Good place to sit if you have an hour. Burger was tasty but very salty.

We had to wait more than an hour for our food and received no compensation. The food was mediocre. We thought we were just grabbing a quick burger, but that turned out not to be the case :(

What a lovely experience. I felt welcome immediately upon entering; I was received with such warmth. The service was top-notch, very attentive and friendly. Additionally, the food was on the table surprisingly quickly. Delicious and definitely recommended.

You walk into an empty place with blaring music. You order 3 burgers, fries, and some hot wings. The kid is on the phone and forgets half my order; I had to get up myself to get my drink. That's what you get when you hire guys who spend the whole day on the phone with girls. I'm never coming here again.

After having a reasonable experience in Almere previously, I decided to visit the branch in Utrecht on Vinkenburgstraat. Unfortunately, this was a major disappointment. Because the place has an open layout, you can see everything that is happening, and that was not a plus point this time. The service and atmosphere: The atmosphere was gloomy and almost aggressive from the start. The staff looked very unfriendly. However, the biggest stumbling block was the young man who seemed to be in charge. When I simply asked if it was self-service or if orders were placed at the table, this was immediately taken defensively and negatively. This employee's demeanor was one of "I've totally lost interest." He even came to stand at the table with his arms resting on the table to take the order (see photo), which comes across as very unprofessional and uninterested. This kind of customer contact does not belong in the hospitality industry; a customer service course or a role out of sight of guests would not be out of place here. The food: I have little to complain about regarding the taste of the cheeseburger; it was fine in itself. One downside, though: the rolls felt cold, which detracts from the overall dining experience. Conclusion: Although the concept is nice, the execution in Utrecht leaves much to be desired. With this unmotivated and almost hostile attitude from the staff, I won't be returning here anytime soon. There is work to be done regarding professionalism and hospitality.

One hour late, they didn't take orders, 40 people in the restaurant and no one was served. The food was edible. Only one star for the discount.

The Nashville hot chicken burger is highly recommended. Issam helped us well.

We were served really quickly here! After ordering, we received our food within just 10 minutes, and everything was still deliciously warm and fresh. We ordered the mac & cheese and the cheese fries, and they tasted absolutely fantastic! Additionally, we would like to give a special mention to Aya. She continuously made sure we felt at ease and regularly came by to ask if we needed anything. She is a truly sweet lady who was there for us all evening. With her broad smile and passion for her work, she makes the experience complete. And we experienced top-notch service! Definitely recommended; we would love to come back here!

We had a Truffle Burger and loaded fries. The cheddar cheese on the loaded fries tasted chemically. The burger was bland. Furthermore, the atmosphere in the restaurant was completely lacking. It was our first and last time.

It took an insanely long time. I ordered one burger and fries and waited 40 minutes for them. And then they forgot the two sauces I paid extra for. Terrible, I won't be back.

Fat Phil used to be delicious and offered good value. But after their recent menu overhaul, there were hardly any burger options, the burger had fewer sauces and toppings, and the loaded fries were now 90 percent fries, the rest meat. I'll be gone until they return.

Honestly, I don’t understand how this place has such a reputation. We were advised that the burgers and hot dogs here are very tasty, so we decided to try it. We ordered to go — to eat right away while everything is fresh. But what we got… was something. The bun was completely crushed, the meat was gathered in a pile — it looked like the chef simply hated this food and wanted to suffocate it 😅 Unfortunately, even the atmosphere in the establishment did not add to the impressions — not very welcoming. Maybe we were just unlucky, and someday I will give Fat Phill’s another chance. But after this experience, I don’t want to go there again at all.

Top service and super delicious food!

On a friend's recommendation, we went here for dinner. He raved about it. I was skeptical. How wrong I was... We ordered the following from the very friendly young lady (who does a fantastic job): - Hot Tamale burger - Onion rings - Battered fried chicken wings - Coleslaw The burger was absurdly, insanely, indescribably delicious. You can really taste the smashed patties with the caramelized onions, cheese sauce, and the spiciness of the peppers and jalapeños. Enjoyed every bite. The battered fried chicken wings were also very flavorful, fresh, and pure delight. All in all, a complete pleasure and definitely worth it. We'll be trying the other delicious items on the menu soon.

Ordered at 5:00 PM. Still nothing by 7:20 PM, so I called. They were miraculously just finishing our order, but the person literally said, "Yeah, busy, man." Shortly after, I called again because the delivery time had dropped from 12 minutes to 25, and we received a text message saying the order had been canceled. This employee, without any information, immediately knew which order it was and was suddenly "working on it," but promised to check and call back. This didn't happen, and suddenly the order from Thuisbezorgd had disappeared. Never again for us.

First they took my order wrong and thought I was going to share with my friend. Then I ordered again, they said they would prepare it, but still forgot. They are EXTREMELY slow and I don’t think they care about customer satisfaction at all. Do not go here there are much better burger places around.

The burger were tasty and halal, but the service was very slow. They forgot the second burger and only brought one of our meals. When we reminded them, they forgot again. So we left without waiting for it because we missed our train.

Just ordered through Uber Eats. If you're paying €40 for two burgers and fries, you expect quality, right? Everything was cold, no cheese on my cheeseburger, and the fries I was charged €7 for were actually three fries. Bizarre.

Ridiculous! I ordered two burgers, one waffle fries, and one regular fries with a friend. We literally waited 50 minutes for the two burgers and waffle fries, and the regular fries weren't even included. It happens. They said the regular fries would come later. Well, after half an hour of waiting, and after those 50 minutes, still nothing, so I looked in the kitchen. Suddenly, I saw one of the employees making himself a container of fries exactly like the one I ordered and then eating it. Absolutely ridiculous. I still haven't received my order, but this is the last straw for me to write a review. Don't go there!

Honestly you can’t call this fast food. It took over 40mins to make a hamburger and normal fries meal. Never coming back here again. It’s ridiculous. Avoid if you can.

I'm giving it one star because I can't give it zero. The burger was as empty as my bank account after getting ripped off by this restaurant. Not to mention the rubbery fries, which suggest the cooks had no more energy to open a new bag of fries than to work hard to serve us in a respectable time. Run me away from this lousy restaurant.

I gave birth to 3 children waiting for my 1 doublecheese burger & 1 fries 🤡 The staffs are ignoring, esp the chef guy whos acting so busy even tho theres 2 burgers made in 10 mins 🤷‍♀️

I walked in and walked up to the counter to order and the young lady told me to sit and she would come take my order. She did about 10 minutes later. My food took a while. But, was pretty good actually. A burger and fires.. I asked to pay and when my total came to 23$ i tapped to pay and the added a 25% tip on top so my total came to $28. I told the guy I wasn’t trying to tip 25% on diner service and he said “you must have tapped it.” It’s $5. Im not gonna cause a scene. But, i won’t be back. Seemed low key kinda sketch, like this wasn’t the first time this had happened. I’ve worked in restaurants for years and I always would at least try to make my guests leave happy. I probably will not be returning. A real shame. Because the place has potential.

The service was terrible, and the burgers weren't great either. It also took ages, and they're terrible at timing. The milkshake was like water, as we got it right away and then had to wait a very long time for our food. The fries were also cold. And that's unbearable for that price.

Great value for money. We weren't sure where to eat in Utrecht, but we found this place, which was a real success. If I remember correctly, I ordered the truffle burger and my partner ordered the spicy breaded chicken burger, and they were delicious. We shared some potatoes with meat and sauce.

The burgers are very good and the fries too, it took a while for them to serve us, we went out to smoke because we had been waiting at the table for a long time, when we left they thought we were going to leave without paying even though we had told them we were going to leave, apart from that, the experience in the place is decent, the problem is when you digest... Deadly, I hope that if you eat there you have toilet paper to use any public bathroom because you are going to need it.

This is the first and last time I will eat at this fast food chain. I ordered a buffalo fries and a triple nashville chicken burger. I clearly stated that I did not want certain ingredients on my food. But instead I got the ingredients that I did NOT want on my food. I told this to a staff, who told me that I would have to wait another 30 MINUTES. I want to say that this is not a GO TO fast food chain where you should go to eat something! And ps, my burger was covered in sauce!! My friends said that my burger was swimming!

Food is not bad. The service is pretty good, they welcome you with a kind smile and are happy to accommodate you. It can be a bit noisy, though.

From a hygiene perspective, the first impression is rather off-putting. Tables are only cleared after a long time by the previous person, and they are also only cleaned late. It must have been 15 minutes before someone came by to bring the menus (in a restaurant with seven seating areas and one bar table), so everything was very organized. After we had to wait a very long time (over 40 minutes) for two burgers, they were brought to our table in a very unfriendly manner. Burgers without any side dishes. The serving dishes were already dirty. We then asked for cutlery because the serving dishes had been brought dirty. We were then very unfriendly and told yes. We were seated in an open kitchen where everyone could hear it, and the guests were exchanging messages about us wanting cutlery. The food was okay, but by no means special. None of us were even full. We absolutely do not recommend it. Neither the service nor the food. Really unfriendly and with a super long wait, even though not all the seats were occupied. Price/performance = 0 It's a shame you can't give 0 stars.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Unacceptable wait time I visited Fat Phyllis in Utrecht with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We waited for over an hour for our food, with no apology or update from the staff. Not even a glass of water was offered while we waited. The place wasn’t even full, so there’s really no excuse for such a delay. When the food finally arrived, it wasn’t worth the wait — just average at best. If this is considered “fast food,” then something is definitely off. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. There are plenty of better places in Utrecht that actually respect their customers and their time.
