McDonald's in Wijk 06 Binnenstad

There were three of us, and we ordered 3 Happy Meals. There was a large worm in one of the boxes. The employee said nothing when she saw the worm and offered no apologies. She just gave us a new bag of fries. We had lost our appetite; for us, this McDonald's is done.

No receipt was printed when ordering, so we didn't know our order number. When I raised the issue, nothing was done about it.

The manager does not think in terms of solutions. You get poor service if there is a problem.

Very disappointed. I have been getting hamburgers here after going out for over 10 years, so I did exactly the same thing today. I sat down and put on my series to watch, because the tables were still standing without chairs on them and were therefore ready to be sat down at. Then, after 10 minutes, a gentleman from McDonald's came over and stressed out, asking me to leave at that exact moment while I was still eating, which is how I have been doing it for 10 years. I then tried to resolve it in a normal way, because let's be honest, I just paid €25 and the tables are still open, so the customer still has the right to eat their meal there. Then the security guard and others came over, who were the complete opposite of helpful. The reason I thought, after 10 years, "yes, I'm going to review this," is that they came over and literally threatened me to leave, so I told them to go away but offered no other solution. I suggested finishing my meal for 5 minutes and moving on, but then an employee threw away my fries and after that my drink (€25...). I did get the fries back later, but I felt very threatened. The worst part happened when a friend or acquaintance of the security guard came over and literally said he wanted to see me outside to hit me. I left then. I do plan never to visit this McDonald's branch again because I don't think this is normal: food being thrown away while you're eating, and being threatened. I hope this gets resolved because this branch is close to my heart as I have been coming here for over 10 years.

The veggie burger tasted suspiciously real. I don't know if it was actually veggie. But it was tasty. The service staff was particularly friendly.

I went out for dinner here with my girlfriend, and to my surprise, there was writing on the wall—I'm not sure, but it looked very much like blood. Also, the staff wasn't very friendly when we had a question, and that really drags the atmosphere down. The food was fine, but you could tell they were in a rush with the hamburger... there was little to no sauce on it and no pickle.

I ordered 2 hamburgers to take away, but when I got home they were 2 cheeseburgers in a hamburger wrapper. Great for those who can't tolerate milk...

Restaurant is some kind of unfunny joke. I payed 3.40€ for fresh mint tea and got only hot water. Girl that was making my order seem to not care about this and was rude, but after complaining to manager they admited that they run out of mint and gave me the smallest coffee as a substitute. Coffee like that costs half the price i payed, so i was basically robbed of my money. Whole service here is absolutely tragic so i recommend finding another mcdonald

This is a location where you can grab a quick fast food bite. They have something for everyone to eat, from salad to a greasy hamburger. There is a wide selection of drinks, from cola to milkshakes.

Everyone here walks around as if they have just sold their souls. We had placed an order, but it wasn't on the order board yet. Then our number was called out. Well... called out is putting it mildly. My son was standing right at the counter to pick up the food the very first time. The staff member holding our food asked my son several times if he was deaf. Then he asked three times if he was Dutch and subsequently shouted: "Pig!" Sorry, but when it comes to discrimination, my family and I actually feel discriminated against right now. After an incredibly fun day in Utrecht with my children, this is a very nasty ending. My son has a speech and language disorder and autism. He felt incredibly cool because he had placed the order himself and wanted to pick it up. The fact that he is subsequently treated in this way and dismissed so disrespectfully is truly unacceptable to me. Very unfortunate.

The food is fine for a McDonald's, but due to the crowds, they keep losing track of things at this location. Otherwise, it's fine here.

The wrong iced coffee twice, and the chicken nuggets taste weird and are tough. The staff is also very arrogant and rude.

Update: Another bad experience. Ordered food at 10:30 PM which was suddenly cancelled at 11:17 PM. It is a really nasty move to cancel an order you have been waiting for for three quarters of an hour. Unfriendly staff and treated in a really unpleasant way on multiple occasions.

Worst fast food experience I've ever had. It started when chicken nuggets, ice cream, coffee and nearly all cold drinks were not available. Then after waiting half an hour, they got part of our order wrong and gave it to us in a to go bag even though the receipt clearly said we ordered for dining in. Such a waste of disposables. As the cherry on top, the employees were very disrespectful and unprofessional. When I simply asked a guy in a white blouse where the toilet is, he vaguely pointed somewhere behind me. I replied with: "sorry, where exactly?". To which he responded with: "Can you not see?". Truly a weird experience for such a simple question. Also the toilets were one of the dirtiest I've seen in a while. Used toilet paper everywhere, no soap and no drying paper. Luckily I had hand sanitizer with me.

Extremely rude staff; I stood waiting 15 minutes to order since they walked past me the whole time, and there was a language barrier so they couldn't understand me. It is truly shameful that they dare to hire this staff without any knowledge of Dutch.

We only received our drinks at home via the order form. No food. The delivery driver could not (understandably) help us any further, and this branch was unreachable by phone (after calling 11 times). We also did not get our money back.

It was tough, it was cold when it arrived, I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes.

The Clockwork Orange thing was just paraxel football. They're slow, very slow, although inside they're constantly moving, but only on the way out. At least you don't pay to use the restroom. The food is like McDonald's. It's very clean 👍🏼.

i cant lie basically every time i eat here it tastes really good but i'll also get a stomachache everytime with an unpleasant remaining evening, got me in the bathroom fighting for my life. this has been happening across the span of several years idk man it never changes </3 protect your guts and dont eat here

To be honest, a very mediocre experience at this McDonald's branch. The fries were lukewarm and soggy. And the strawberry milkshake just wasn't like it usually is. Did have a fine burger, though.

Great McCafe for a cup of coffee, then a tour of Utrecht.

I am very satisfied with this McDonald's; the food was served quickly, the toilets were free, and they looked tidy. The rest was also very clean! We had a delicious meal here; definitely recommended!

My order turned out to have been suddenly cancelled after waiting for 2 hours—and after intervention from Thuisbezorgd. Before that, the app indicated that the order had been delivered. Liars!

They manage to give us the wrong food time and time again. Wrong ml shake again, no chicken nuggets but the sauce; normally it's the other way around. Terribly sloppy staff and an incompetent chef who is seriously dragging McDonald's name through the mud.

Very bad Mac. Orders are incorrect. Wrong items or too few items. One of the worst businesses I know.

The worst service!!!!!! Nobody can speak English!!! I just wanted to cancel my order because there's no one available to deliver it, and Thuisbezorgd is awful; they didn't help me at all. I called the restaurant over 20 times, and they never answered and kept diverting my calls. I waited almost 2 hours for them to take my order and start preparing it.

I ordered at 5:00 PM, and by 7:00 PM, there was still nothing. When I checked Thuisbezorgd around that time, it suddenly said the restaurant wasn't available for delivery. I thought, "It's not coming anymore." So I decided to go to KFC. When I got home an hour later, at 8:20 PM, I saw the delivery driver standing at the door. It took three and a half hours for my order to arrive. And the strangest thing of all was that the food was still warm. I don't even know what to say or think about this, but what?

There are a lot of shady people in this McDonald's, especially on the first floor, where many people are sleeping or tripping. The people in the kitchen are friendly and the food is of the usual McD quality.

I came in and the music was ON 10/10 experience and tasty chicken nice and warm

Had to wait a very long time, the food was cold because it sat on the counter for so long until the drinks were ready. The fries were so cold that I had to have them exchanged. Luckily, this wasn't a problem. The restrooms were very dirty.

We ordered a hamburger with everything included and one cheeseburger with no pickles and onions, both looked the same with the exception of the cheese. As the pictures show, there is only one slice of pickle and barely any onions. The mustard and ketchup we’re practically nonexistent. We also ordered a McFlurry and unfortunately we received half of the standard size. It is unfortunate because the prices have been increasing and the portions received were not even the normal size. Our issue was not receiving the standard sizes and toppings asked, and not getting our moneys worth.

Delicious Mac. Fresh burger and great service. Even my 11-year-old daughter enjoyed the quarter-pounder.

Extremely poor service. I had to wait over 25 minutes for 6 coffees. The staff speaks neither Dutch nor English. The staff couldn't operate the cash register. And they didn't know how to use the coffee maker. I hope this changes soon.

Bad experience at McDonald's Utrecht Our experience at McDonald's in Utrecht was very bad. The food was poor quality: cold, bland, and completely unappetizing. We also had to wait an extremely long time for our order, even though it wasn't even busy. The staff seemed disorganized and didn't clearly explain the long wait. All in all, a disappointing experience and definitely not recommended. We won't be returning anytime soon.

Waited for two hours only to finally be told the order had been canceled. They wouldn't answer the phone after calling ten times. Dramatic, never again.

Referrals to higher applicants are substandard. There's no reception, and applicants' privacy isn't guaranteed. So, you have to present yourself to strangers at a distance of half a meter, which requires you to be vulnerable. Think carefully about whether this is how you want to treat potential employees.

I only had cash on me, and the woman at the counter said I could pay with cash at the register and that her colleague would help me. However, the colleague in question, who was busy with the fries, gave me an irritated look and initially said she'd be right back. But after a few minutes of fruitless waiting, I was told, "No register." And that's what I had to accept. I was then coldly dismissed as if I no longer existed. So I left and went to FEBO to get a grilled burger, where at least I was treated politely.

I didn't get a napkin with my food

I just received an order from this "restaurant"... It was all look8ng like someone sat on it, the cheeseburger I ordered was missing, instead of big fries I got medium ones and bigmac had only one piece of meat patty. When I called the restaurant to resolve the issue, the lady on a phone told me that's not her problem and said I can issue a complaint on the website. So... avoid on all cost.

McDonald's downtown is never that impressive. Eat quickly and get out of here.

What an atmospheric McDonald's here in Utrecht, they play good music, the ordering machines work well, the staff is also very friendly and helpful, and the fries are nice and hot, not lukewarm.

The service was terrible; I couldn't even cash in my deal without the police being called. It was truly appalling. People are being discriminated against based on their appearance.

A bit too dry burgers in comparison to any other McD's i've had around the world...Fries were excellent.

Ordered through Thuisbezorgd two hours ago, still haven't received anything. I've called nine times and no one's answering. Ridiculous.

Worst experience of a McDonald’s anywhere I’ve been. It’s supposed to be quick. It was long, arduous, a whole ordeal and I came out with a spoiled afternoon.

i wanted a happy meal but they forgot my sauce 💔

Burgers are stacked very poorly all the time, sometimes meat and bun is off by 2-3 cm and other ingredients like cabbage is mainly left in a box in which burger came in instead of a burger. One time I got only slightly warm burger which went cold after 1-2 minutes of eating it.

Touching the food with their bare hands, fighting in the kitchen, the shift leader did it also and after that she got paid, touched the pos machine , touched money and then with out any cleaning she went back inside and touched the food with her hands

A messy place with too many staff who don't speak Dutch well... and the system can't keep up. The fries, in particular, weren't cooked properly compared to the rest of McDonald's. I won't be going back.

Everything was fast and delicious. There weren't many people there. We waited about 10 minutes for our order. It cost 30 euros for three people.

When I picked it up, a burger was missing. I eventually got it. However, when I got home, the milkshake was missing. It's a shame you can't assume everything will be okay. This isn't the first time I've missed something.

My fries had been ready for 10 minutes while we were waiting for my frappe. Then they just gave me the frappe, without the fries. I asked for the fries anyway, but of course, they were already cold.

I went today early to close and buy a menu to go of big tasty (big) instead they give me a 1,85€ bun of those regulars burgers and I went home and I notice there when I came back to notice about the situation they just said come tomorrow and what about my dinner and my hungry ? 16€ burger and they also give it meatless this is unacceptable and unbelievable I’m really disappointed about this McDonald’s near my house is not the same these days and is not the first time , I used to let it past but this time I can’t that’s why I’m putting this advise to the customers be sure of what you order and take a look when you have items to go to not waste your money just like I did …

Located on Lange Vie, next to the Bijenkorf department store, this small McDonald's in the center of Utrecht is the quietest in my experience of the three branches around the city center (Lange Vie, Hoog Catharijne, and Oude Gracht). I should add that I'm almost always there around lunchtime on a weekday. The experience can, of course, be different on weekends or in the evenings. There are plenty of ordering kiosks. I never have to wait long for my order. Personally, I find the store quite dark inside and not always very clean, but this is not uncommon at an average fast-food restaurant. This McDonald's has two floors. On the top floor, you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city center and the Neude shopping district. There are also free restrooms and a fold-out changing table for baby changing. However, the latter isn't in a separate room. Otherwise, it's a McDonald's like any other fast-food chain.

They very often forget part of the order

Everything I go there my order is made on time and no food is left behind. The fries are still warm when I get home. Seems weird but inside a MC these small things matter. See you next time!

I ordered a meatless McCrispy, and then got chicken. I told the counter clerk about it, but instead of an apology, I received a stern look. Sorry, but I find this very odd, hence the one star. The restaurant looked okay.

Stupid incompetent staff. Ordered two drinks and was kept waiting 20 minutes when the place was empty and not busy. Went to ask the staff where the drinks were (I could see them on the counter) and was repeatedly told to keep waiting.
