Terrible food. The meat was rather tasteless, and the desserts were old. It also took ages to get our food. We spent €100 for two people. Ugh, never again!

The person was very rude. I ordered through Uber Eats and got a milk tea without taro. The food was really awful, expensive, and mediocre. I wouldn't recommend it.

I had The worst experience I had so far in a sushi restaurant without a doubt! First the restaurant was so cold inside that almost everyone wear their jackets and it was we ate outside in the cold, it was so rude of the staff/owner that they didn’t turned on their heating! The waiting time was so long, I waited literally one hour and still some items were missed and when I asked about them from the staff they said that you should order it again which was unfair considering that you can only order 6 rounds and only 4 items! The nothing was fresh and the overall experience felt like a big scam, definitely didn’t worth the money!

We had good experience in this restaurant. We had a reservation at 17:15, so there were almost no people and service was fast, however after 18:00 it became slower and slower. One time they even forget one dish which we ordered and after reminding them didn’t bring. The food selection is good, but to compare with other restaurants not that impressive. However, I really like unlimited options for dessert including ice cream and chocolate fondue. Staff is very friendly. Atmosphere in restaurants is amazing, design created in light colours and big windows with view to canal. Overall we had positive feedback. But as a recommendation, better make a reservation not in rush hours:)

I don’t know what they you did with the food. Together with my friend we were always ordering pokebowls from your place and yesterday we did the same but we ordered extra shrimps. And thats the one only thing during the whole day that we both ate. We both got severe food poisoning. Ive been suffering the whole night. Never felt so bad on my stomach, i thought i was dying. NEVER AGAIN

Way too expensive for what you get. Was able to get 3 rounds out of 2 hours.

Incredibly friendly staff, a relaxing atmosphere, and delicious Asian dishes, including sushi, gyoza, and very tasty meat and fish dishes. The only downside was the dessert bar; I missed fresh fruit for dessert...but nevertheless, a solid 9.5 out of 10.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the food was very mediocre. You shouldn't expect the all-you-can-eat sushi to be very tasty, but this was very disappointing and totally not worth the money.

We went there with her without any expectations, but were surprised. There is a good selection and you get plenty to eat. Even with the all-you-can-eat option, you don't have endless options; you can eat in several sittings. But it was perfectly adequate. We didn't eat all the sittings. In other words, the food is of solid quality—it's not the best, but it's also far from the worst sushi I've ever eaten. The dessert buffet wasn't that good. There was a chocolate fountain, but I missed some fruit with it. There were only cookies and marshmallows. The highlight for children is the drawbridge that you look out onto. It really opens and closes quite often. So it was very entertaining to sit there even with a child.

Good food, but the selection of sushi is not that great. On the flip side of the coin, when we arrived, the chefs were having a lunch break, but nobody told us so time ticked away (2 hours for all you can eat) and the food was not coming. We can clearly see that the personnel was not working, yet they come up with some escuses that the ordering system malfunctioned with our order... Not even the courtesy to adjust the allocated time... So...

What a bad restaurant! Unhappy staff, have to wait a very long time for our order. No structure in service at all. Have to wait 20 minutes for a house wine that costs 5.10 with only 3 sips. Because purchases are also more expensive says one of and very unmotivated staff. Never again and recommend you. If you want to have a nice evening do not go to Foody kitchen.

Foody an excellent place to eat in Zaandam, even ate on Kingsday with a group. Great food and good service, service and atmosphere. Also the food, the sushi is great! For someone who does not normally eat sushi, just delicious!

I was very disappointed with my recent experience. The waiter was extremely rude, showed clear favoritism based on appearance, and treated people without respect. On top of that, the portion size of the food was surprisingly small.

We have eaten here often and the food is always good, relaxed atmosphere. We like coming here. Everything is sufficient for us here, the employees are always polite. Never experienced one being rude. See you soon again foody kitchen.

Delicious food, but it was chilly inside

No explanation of anything. Yelling when pointing out several ordered items are missing. Spent more waiting on food than actually eating. Continuously hearing "want anything to drink?" while waiting for the fricking food. No thank you or anything after paying. These people have no idea about customer service, and it also shows in the way the hired personnel handles things. Poor them.

The ladies from the lunch shifts are way more customer oriented and friendly. I came for the first time for dinner and was so a bit disappointed with the dinner service.

Bad food, cold sushis for the 2nd time, chicken does not smell good as if it is spoiled. And bad service, they cleared empty plates too late and they took orders too late. Floors were so muddy and the toilet was dirty. Not worth the amount you pay.

The food is okay but really very little for this price I really expected a lot more food compared to last year more than half is gone, the employees are selfish and aggressive towards the customers. Even one of the employees threatened us. Customers are always right. I don't think this behavior makes any sense. Please improve your employees, because you will lose a lot of customers this way.

Lately foody has been very bad, we have been ordering there for years and regularly eat there. The owner is always very friendly, but she employs the wrong staff, poor cooks, poor service, slow, unfriendly and forgets half of it. Delivery always arrives first in Zaandam, which has the same street as us, and then to us and then everything that is supposed to be warm is cold. Where they used to get 5 stars, it is now only 2 stars and that is for the owner and their pokebowl because it is very tasty. very unfortunate because I liked coming there

We barely got any food for 20 euros. Poke bowl 14 euros was small, and the shrimp for 6,50 were literally 5 shrimp (not even kidding) It wasnt really tasty either. Quite bland

The sushi was really bad, cold, even the ones that should be hot, for example with ebi shrimp, and just not tasty unfortunately. Service was great, but hey, you come to eat anyway.

Delicious food, lots of variety of dishes on the menu, friendly and fast service. High quality sushi! Pleasantly busy, but sufficient distance between the tables so that you can really enjoy yourself in a private atmosphere.

The staff cannot keep track of the number of guests. At first there was actually no table available, but afterwards it was (despite a reservation). We first had to wait 10 minutes for a pen and someone to ask if we wanted something to drink. Then we had to wait another 25 minutes until we actually had drinks on the table. In the end we had to wait more than an hour until our food finally arrived... The excuse was that something had gone wrong, I asked for the order card anyway and then I saw that they were still busy entering it into the system. So it took an hour for the order to be placed...

Food is tasty, that's not the problem. If it ever comes. Waited an hour for the first round. And 40 minutes on our first drink. But after 2 hours, try to look out the door. Also a lot of running and messing around children. Not recommended. The second time for us. And the same song the second time. 🤡

The negative reviews must be from people who don't understand how all you can eat sushi works

We always order from Foodies Kitchen and are very satisfied. Now we went to the restaurant, but were still a little disappointed. We were not received very warmly and the waitress clearly did not feel like it. The sushi was tasty but the dessert was really not tasty. The cakes were tough and the ice cream was not tasty. The chocolate in the fountain was also inedible. This was a real disappointment. That really has to be better.

The food was delicious. The restaurant was located near a lock, so there was a lot to see. Modern design. Maybe too sterile for a certain audience. I personally like it.

the asian restaurant is the best in zaandam, it is very under rated it has an amazing menu for a very good price, it tasted very good, i would recommend this place!

I didn't receive my order and I ordered it since 9 o'clock!! For 1 hour and 30 minutes I was waiting for my order, which was still on its way until I found out that the store had already closed and they were not going to deliver even though I placed my order in a timely manner!!! Terrible service

It's a little tricky to find the entrance, but once inside, you are greeted with a spacious and welcoming restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the seatings are great, especially those closer to the windows. The food is delicious and keeps coming at a reasonable pace to your table. You can order food from a menu and simply check which items you'd like every round (your waiter will explain the rules in detail).

Nice large space and, even with the new name, excellent quality food. Recommended, also for larger groups.

Food was really nice, I wish we arrived a little earlier (20:30), because we felt like we were a little rushed and the service was not the friendliest. Also there was no option for desserts anymore at around 21:40, which was also a pity. Anyway, I still wanna go back, because all the dishes were delicious! Hope to have a better service experience next time:)

Terrible food my family and I got huge stomach aches. The old Chinese lady serving there was very arrogant and unfriendly, I think it's time to retire. If I could give less than 1 star I definitely would!

Me and my best friend and I came from London, and it was a unique experience; Chiara and her whole team were fantastic. The entire team and service were excellent from start to finish. I would 100 % recommend it if you are visiting Zandam. We will be back next year when we come for the tulips. Thank you for a great experience and a great evening. You made our first night fantastic with your energy. Quick service and great amount a food with a great team, what isn't to love.

Lunch stated at 12.00-16.00. Came in 15.20 and stayed for 1h and was forced to pay dinner price which is 10 eur more. Ridiculous.

Very slow service, a lot of waiting between dishes, and a lot of errors when bringing the dishes.Very bad experience

We had a reservation at 8:15 PM for 5 people, but when we arrived we had to wait because there was no free table. After waiting 15 minutes we were offered something to drink, but after 40 minutes there was still no table available. Ultimately it was suggested that 3 of us could sit at one table and 2 at another, which we found unacceptable. We were also concerned about whether we would get food due to the crowds, and after waiting 50 minutes we finally decided to leave, despite having made a reservation a week and a half in advance. We did receive a €20 gift voucher as compensation, but that is not much for 5 people.

Ordered sushi at home and before I knew it I received a call from Foody Kitchen that my spring rolls (were not included in the order) were arriving. Really great service and it was very tasty of course. Thank you and see you next time.

The à la carte menu was served after 40 minutes only after several complaints considered the waitresses' total indifference! The tap water (75 ml) price amounted to 7 Euro!!! Upon paying they didn't even apologize! Basic wait staff rules missing... Super bad service. Never again. NOT recommended at all. I would have given no stars at all, if possible.

The food was slightly more salty and seasoned than normal, which makes you drink more water. And unfortunately the restaurant does not offer tap water. So the amount you save with all can you eat ends up being offset by the amount of water you have to buy. Service was a little slow between orders too. It's ok for the value for money.

Didn't get all the food in the 1st round, it took about 45 minutes until we got (part) of the first round. When we indicated that we were not satisfied and wanted some of our money, we were told that this was not possible... I certainly do not recommend this restaurant.

Ordered a vegetarian shushi box and 2 bubble teas today. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the order came in. Therefore service 4 stars. Unfortunately, the makis had fallen apart and I found the entire box mediocre. That's it until then. What I really think is a shame is that both bubble teas were extremely bitter. Really not nice. I had indicated poppings and got jelly... all in all I didn't drink it. And while I really am an easy eater and drinker. Wouldn't order again anytime soon and wouldn't recommend it either. I just hope it doesn't make me sick later 😅

Sfeerloos, onervaren personeel en matig eten. Een wijkloper liep in een joggingsbroek en over het algemeen was de interactie erg slecht. De zaal was overbelicht, zorgde voor geen gezellige sfeer. Muziek kon je niet horen, waardoor het een erg ongemakkelijke sfeer bracht. Ik kon de mensen aan de andere kant van de zaal horen praten. Het duurde lang voordat je je gerechten kreeg.

Friendly staff, it doesn't feel like you're eating in a food shack. The food is good and you don't have to wait very long for your food.

Delicious food, lots of variety, friendly staff... Only the heating didn't work properly, which made me quite cold. Hopefully that has now been resolved.

Got really sick from the food. Serious food poisoning, never experienced this bad before. I was the only one who ate vegetarian sushi and the only one with seaweed on/in the sushi. Possibly it was the seaweed? I went through hell all evening/night, but unfortunately Foody Kitchen does not feel responsible for this.

Nice extensive range of all-you-can-eat dishes. Plenty to share and try out. Pro-tip, dont forget deserts are included, so keep that in mind 😉

When we went to eat here we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. The people who work there seemed sweet and hardworking, so I can imagine that they were bored when it was so quiet. Unfortunately, that meant that we were always being watched. Every time a plate was empty it was picked up immediately and the waiter always kept pacing 3 meters away from us. In some ways that is of course good service, but it did not feel relaxing to be looked at like that all the time. I felt very uncomfortable in this situation. But, I can imagine that this was an exceptional situation and that the restaurant is usually a bit busier. The food was okay, but overall I didn't think it was very tasty. A lot of it was fried, but just too much so you could barely taste the food. In addition to the taste, there were fruit flies on one of the dishes a few times. We didn't say anything about that, but in the end, in addition to 2 flies, there was also a hair in the food. When the waiter came, my partner kindly asked if they could take this plate back with them because there was a hair in it. The waiter took the hair out of the food and held it next to me saying that it is ours because it was a blonde hair......this made me feel even more uncomfortable and I wanted to leave as quickly as possible. For me this was a very bad experience, I hope others have a better experience at this restaurant.

The food was downright bad. In addition, the Chinese lady working there had a terrible attitude. She was extremely rude from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. It was my first and last time coming here and I definitely don't recommend it! Avoid this place!

This review is from a while ago. The concept has now changed to "all you can eat" and the price for dinner is many times higher. We had a nice meal there, but I think it's a shame that the old menu is gone. This concept is already in Zaandam (Tokyoto) and now our affordable option with a wide choice on the menu is gone. I'm less likely to enter here again now.

First and last time. Not taken after 1 frying dish. Old fat. Therefore too greasy and fried too dark. The wine in a small glass. More like a drink. We're not going anymore.
