I ordered online. Not only the delivery came 23 min earlier than expected and food was sooooo good. This is defo going to be my fav place now. Highly recommended!

We dined on August 26, 2026, at the recently renovated restaurant. New furniture that has a luxurious look. Beautiful, comfortable upholstered chairs and benches with tables featuring a marble-look tabletop. Everything has been painted and looks fresh and calm. Orders are no longer placed on paper but via a super handy, trouble-free app. As a result, the service is nice and fast, ensuring they always have the right dishes. The food is still of high quality, and some sushi has received an upgrade in terms of appearance, but the taste is still perfect, and if we could give 6 stars, the Foody Kitchen would get them all. 2025. Had a delicious meal, lots of variety in dishes on the menu, friendly and fast service. High-quality sushi! Pleasantly busy, but sufficient distance between the tables so you can truly enjoy a private atmosphere.

It's too expensive. I'd recommend not going. It's 70 euros for two people, and drinks are extra.

Had another delicious meal and plenty of choice

We've been here at least a dozen times over the past few years. This was our first time with our baby and the staff was very accommodating and patient with us. We did make reservations beforehand and left a note about bringing a pram.

We love coming to Foody Kitchen for our biweekly or monthly date night. Staff are helpful and friendly. Food is always phenomenal and really good value for money! Almost everything is included in the price from the food menu, but drinks are not. They also have included dessert during dinner service.

I have eaten here over 50 times and the taste has gotten worse and worse, the service is not as friendly as before. This is my last time and I will never come back here again.

A very good experience. We came for the buffet service and the service was excellent. All the food was fresh and served to the table in a matter of minutes. The quality fully justifies the price of the service.

A very atmospheric place that combines Asian cuisine: Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Thai :) The portions are small and quite filling, yet very delicious. There are plenty of tables, but despite the busy atmosphere, it was very quiet and pleasant. The service is very friendly and helpful. I often order home delivery, and they fulfill orders very quickly, even on weekends and holidays :) The only downside is the lack of prices on the menu.

Delicious food, lots of variety, friendly staff... However, the heating wasn't working properly, which made me quite cold. Hopefully, that has been resolved by now. I went back there again tonight after about a year. The air conditioning often blows very cold air. So, even though my partner and I had a nice meal there, I wasn't very relaxed.

Horrible! We arrived 2 minutes after 9pm. We were told that we have one hour left (mind yourself, the restaurant is open until 22:30). We agreed stating that we will not be ordering much and will be leaving in an hour. We were seated, ordered our drinks. We were told to place our order numbers on a piece of paper, which we did and waited. After waiting for 45 minutes without one single server approaching our table, we decided that it was enough and we will leave. During our stay, all staff were cleaning and organizing the restaurant while other customers were still eating. That alone is obnoxious and disgusting but to have not one single server approach us in 45 minutes is comical. We will NEVER return to this restaurant. We strongly urge all, to go to any other establishment in the area. Plenty of choices.

The food is delicious !!! The service is perfect. The 6 rounds of the all-you-can-eat were just barely not manageable for my wife and me. We made it to round 3. It is definitely highly recommended.

This was my fourth visit and probably my last. When I arrived, I was told I would have 1 hour to eat, but the receipt said 45 minutes. The food also took a very long time to arrive. For an all-you-can-eat restaurant, the waiting time was too long. It almost felt like it was done on purpose so people would order less. Also, the female waitress was quite rude. After this experience, I won’t be coming back.

Foody Kitchen in Zaandam is a great place for us to eat together. The food is delicious, flavorful, and carefully prepared. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Whether in the restaurant or ordering from home, it's simply excellent. Highly recommended!

I was introduced to Foody Kitchen through Social Deal. We spent a total of 30-35 minutes there (out of the 3 hours we were allowed) and then started a serious relationship with the toilet. The mussels tasted absolutely awful. The beef sushi I ordered tasted fishy. I definitely wouldn't recommend it, yuck!

I give this restaurant a 5. The meat was tough, too salty, and the sauces weren't good. The sushi is too big and the rice too thick; it falls apart quickly. It's a shame it's tasteless.

Delicious! Great sushi and hot dishes. The shrimp spring rolls are truly delicious! It's just not very warm in there... and I don't mean the food, but the temperature inside.

Terrible food. The meat was rather tasteless, and the desserts were old. It also took ages to get our food. We spent €100 for two people. Ugh, never again!

The person was very rude. I ordered through Uber Eats and got a milk tea without taro. The food was really awful, expensive, and mediocre. I wouldn't recommend it.

I had The worst experience I had so far in a sushi restaurant without a doubt! First the restaurant was so cold inside that almost everyone wear their jackets and it was we ate outside in the cold, it was so rude of the staff/owner that they didn’t turned on their heating! The waiting time was so long, I waited literally one hour and still some items were missed and when I asked about them from the staff they said that you should order it again which was unfair considering that you can only order 6 rounds and only 4 items! The nothing was fresh and the overall experience felt like a big scam, definitely didn’t worth the money!

We had good experience in this restaurant. We had a reservation at 17:15, so there were almost no people and service was fast, however after 18:00 it became slower and slower. One time they even forget one dish which we ordered and after reminding them didn’t bring. The food selection is good, but to compare with other restaurants not that impressive. However, I really like unlimited options for dessert including ice cream and chocolate fondue. Staff is very friendly. Atmosphere in restaurants is amazing, design created in light colours and big windows with view to canal. Overall we had positive feedback. But as a recommendation, better make a reservation not in rush hours:)

I don’t know what they you did with the food. Together with my friend we were always ordering pokebowls from your place and yesterday we did the same but we ordered extra shrimps. And thats the one only thing during the whole day that we both ate. We both got severe food poisoning. Ive been suffering the whole night. Never felt so bad on my stomach, i thought i was dying. NEVER AGAIN

Incredibly friendly staff, a relaxing atmosphere, and delicious Asian dishes, including sushi, gyoza, and very tasty meat and fish dishes. The only downside was the dessert bar; I missed fresh fruit for dessert...but nevertheless, a solid 9.5 out of 10.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the food was very mediocre. You shouldn't expect the all-you-can-eat sushi to be very tasty, but this was very disappointing and totally not worth the money.

We went there with her without any expectations, but were surprised. There is a good selection and you get plenty to eat. Even with the all-you-can-eat option, you don't have endless options; you can eat in several sittings. But it was perfectly adequate. We didn't eat all the sittings. In other words, the food is of solid quality—it's not the best, but it's also far from the worst sushi I've ever eaten. The dessert buffet wasn't that good. There was a chocolate fountain, but I missed some fruit with it. There were only cookies and marshmallows. The highlight for children is the drawbridge that you look out onto. It really opens and closes quite often. So it was very entertaining to sit there even with a child.

On the flip side of the coin, when we arrived, the chefs were having a lunch break, but nobody told us so time ticked away (2 hours for all you can eat) and the food was not coming. We can clearly see that the personnel was not working, yet they come up with some escuses that the ordering system malfunctioned with our order... Not even the courtesy to adjust the allocated time... So...

What a bad restaurant! Unhappy staff, have to wait a very long time for our order. No structure in service at all. Have to wait 20 minutes for a house wine that costs 5.10 with only 3 sips. Because purchases are also more expensive says one of and very unmotivated staff. Never again and recommend you. If you want to have a nice evening do not go to Foody kitchen.

Foody an excellent place to eat in Zaandam, even ate on Kingsday with a group. Great food and good service, service and atmosphere. Also the food, the sushi is great! For someone who does not normally eat sushi, just delicious!

Delicious food, but it was chilly inside

No explanation of anything. Yelling when pointing out several ordered items are missing. Spent more waiting on food than actually eating. Continuously hearing "want anything to drink?" while waiting for the fricking food. No thank you or anything after paying. These people have no idea about customer service, and it also shows in the way the hired personnel handles things. Poor them.

The ladies from the lunch shifts are way more customer oriented and friendly. I came for the first time for dinner and was so a bit disappointed with the dinner service.

Bad food, cold sushis for the 2nd time, chicken does not smell good as if it is spoiled. And bad service, they cleared empty plates too late and they took orders too late. Floors were so muddy and the toilet was dirty. Not worth the amount you pay.

Lately foody has been very bad, we have been ordering there for years and regularly eat there. The owner is always very friendly, but she employs the wrong staff, poor cooks, poor service, slow, unfriendly and forgets half of it. We barely got any food for 20 euros. Poke bowl 14 euros was small, and the shrimp for 6,50 were literally 5 shrimp (not even kidding) It wasnt really tasty either. Quite bland

The sushi was really bad, cold, even the ones that should be hot, for example with ebi shrimp, and just not tasty unfortunately. Service was great, but hey, you come to eat anyway.

The staff cannot keep track of the number of guests. At first there was actually no table available, but afterwards it was (despite a reservation). We first had to wait 10 minutes for a pen and someone to ask if we wanted something to drink. Then we had to wait another 25 minutes until we actually had drinks on the table. In the end we had to wait more than an hour until our food finally arrived... The excuse was that something had gone wrong, I asked for the order card anyway and then I saw that they were still busy entering it into the system. So it took an hour for the order to be placed...

The negative reviews must be from people who don't understand how all you can eat sushi works

We always order from Foodies Kitchen and are very satisfied. Now we went to the restaurant, but were still a little disappointed. We were not received very warmly and the waitress clearly did not feel like it. The sushi was tasty but the dessert was really not tasty. The cakes were tough and the ice cream was not tasty. The chocolate in the fountain was also inedible. This was a real disappointment. That really has to be better.

I didn't receive my order and I ordered it since 9 o'clock!! For 1 hour and 30 minutes I was waiting for my order, which was still on its way until I found out that the store had already closed and they were not going to deliver even though I placed my order in a timely manner!!! Terrible service

It's a little tricky to find the entrance, but once inside, you are greeted with a spacious and welcoming restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the seatings are great, especially those closer to the windows. The food is delicious and keeps coming at a reasonable pace to your table. You can order food from a menu and simply check which items you'd like every round (your waiter will explain the rules in detail).

Nice large space and, even with the new name, excellent quality food. Recommended, also for larger groups.

Food was really nice, I wish we arrived a little earlier (20:30), because we felt like we were a little rushed and the service was not the friendliest. Also there was no option for desserts anymore at around 21:40, which was also a pity. Anyway, I still wanna go back, because all the dishes were delicious! Me and my best friend and I came from London, and it was a unique experience; Chiara and her whole team were fantastic. The entire team and service were excellent from start to finish. I would 100 % recommend it if you are visiting Zandam. We will be back next year when we come for the tulips. Thank you for a great experience and a great evening. Lunch stated at 12.00-16.00. Came in 15.20 and stayed for 1h and was forced to pay dinner price which is 10 eur more. Ridiculous.

We had a reservation at 8:15 PM for 5 people, but when we arrived we had to wait because there was no free table. After waiting 15 minutes we were offered something to drink, but after 40 minutes there was still no table available. Ultimately it was suggested that 3 of us could sit at one table and 2 at another, which we found unacceptable. We were also concerned about whether we would get food due to the crowds, and after waiting 50 minutes we finally decided to leave, despite having made a reservation a week and a half in advance. We did receive a €20 gift voucher as compensation, but that is not much for 5 people.
