It was warm, which is nice for late December. We paid 90 euros for pasta, two pizzas, a salad, and a bottle of wine. The service was pretty quick.

A lot of people, a lot of wait, but a lot of pleasure. 5 stars because it's good and it's all that matters 👌

We had a delicious meal on Christmas Eve, well-maintained, and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was very cozy. Great!

Excellent service, delicious Christmas menu, and well-executed service agreements. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Definitely recommended.

The food is fine, nothing more, nothing less. However, my husband experienced severe stomach cramps and nausea after eating the penne pollo spinach.

We were here one afternoon, mainly for drinks, so I can't comment on the food. It was very quiet, but I can imagine it gets quite busy in the summer. Great place, and we'll definitely come back for dinner.

The food I ordered arrived cold. The rest of my party had theirs. My dish went back to the kitchen. After a long wait and two requests, my food arrived. It wasn't quite right. The pasta was half-cooked. After asking, it turned out that some of it had been returned to be reheated. But the reheating burned it. They had to make new pasta. That explained the long wait and the half-cooked pasta.

Cozy atmosphere and super tasty food.

We've been to several Fratelli restaurants, but the quality of the food here is truly excellent. There were six of us, and everything was delicious! Very pleasant and good service.

Nice place for a delicious pasta

A really nice environment, lovely people who work there, and they're very sociable. Someone accidentally spilled a drink on me while I was working there, and they handled it very well. They asked if I wanted new drinks and food, and I even got my dessert for free! It's a fantastic restaurant, and I definitely recommend it!

It was disappointing again, both the food, the service, and the lunchroom. It's all just not quite right, in my opinion. It's not bad, but not great value for money either. The service, however, was really subpar.

Went to lunch with my family from Australia. What a shock; I don't know who the lady was, but she was just having a heated argument on the phone... nice, family, and you're trying to make a friendly impression... but it didn't work. What a shock.

Had a wonderful evening at this cozy restaurant. A friendly and welcoming welcome upon arrival. The service was also absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious, with six different appetizers and main courses, and there was nothing to complain about. Highly recommended!

If you like cold pizza delivered an hour late and want to be treated rudely afterward, you can now go to Fratelli. It's a shame, because their experience and solution-oriented approach used to be on a different level.

September 6, 2025: After a bit of cycling, we had a lovely drink here. A cup of coffee and a glass of wine. We sat outside. Well looked after, as always! May 29, 2025: Went for a bit of cycling. We had a quick cup of mint tea here. We sat outside by the water. It was very quiet today. A strong wind. Too bad you had to order your drink inside. The view was of a drawbridge and a somewhat older building, among other things.

Smooth service, good atmosphere and delicious food.

This restaurant's location is truly fantastic, and the food is excellent. It's a shame we had to wait 40 minutes for our drinks (after ordering), even though we'd already told them our order had been forgotten. Ultimately, the food was fine, but the icing on the cake was that we were served lukewarm rosé (in a warm glass) with the solution of an ice cube. Luckily, the staff were also very helpful and offered a proper solution! It's a shame you have to report something wrong twice. Perhaps it was the day of the year or the phase of the moon, but the service was truly appalling.

The wine tasted rather watery, but I thought, oh well... We went back a month later and ordered a different wine, but the same thing happened again: watery again. It seems they're watering down the wine! Afterwards, the staff offered us a shot glass on the house, but the owner came over and mockingly told the waitress that that wasn't the intention in our presence. Like it or not! Everything here is about cost-cutting!

Tuna pizza was too salty and the crust was thin. Drinks were overpriced and the restaurant had no atmosphere. Wine was expensive and scarce.

Delicious food and friendly service. We even got a drink on the house. We stopped here on our way home. Unfortunately, it's not close by. We'd love to eat there again!

We had a delicious meal at a reasonable price. The size of the group (8 people) and all the other guests didn't pose a problem for the waitstaff.

Not the best experience. The staff ignores you when you enter, and most speak little or no Dutch. If you want the menu or want to order, you really have to get someone's attention; they don't come over on their own. The food is mediocre: the medium-well ribeye is completely overcooked. The sea bass fillet is full of bones. The vegetables aren't cooked properly. When paying, the server makes assumptions about who's paying. In short: we won't be going back anytime soon.

I ordered the seafood pasta (linguine allo scoglio) and unfortunately found stones and a lot of sand in the dish. This is not only unpleasant but also unsafe—biting on a stone could easily cause dental damage. When I reported this, the restaurant refused to take responsibility or offer any compensation. This is unacceptable for a restaurant of this level. Guests should expect properly cleaned seafood and decent service. A very disappointing experience; I cannot recommend this restaurant. Great atmosphere in this busy but cozy Italian restaurant. Excellent food at a reasonable price. It's located on the Vliet canal in Leidschendam. Highly recommended.

Another restaurant that keeps its drinks menu and prices secret on its website. Very unfriendly. Suddenly, during our last visit, the only drinkable beer disappeared.

I recently visited this charming Italian restaurant, and it was an experience worth remembering. The service was impeccable—staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The highlight for me was the stunning view from the outside terrace, which created the perfect atmosphere for our meal. The food was a mixed bag, but mostly delightful. The penne with chicken and spinach was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked pasta, tender chicken, and fresh spinach in a flavorful sauce. On the other hand, the carbonara was a bit bland and could benefit from a stronger punch of flavor. Despite that, the overall experience was excellent. With such great service, a breathtaking terrace view, and some standout dishes, I would gladly return.

Well, very simple. Typical Italian fare.

Unfortunately, it's absolutely terrible... there's little communication between the staff and the customers. The dish was brought to the table...quickly, quickly. The panini wasn't warm, it was lukewarm. When I went to pay, I was first asked if I wanted to pay by card. And then the waitress walked away! She was busy with other customers and clearing the table. Then another waiter arrived and said nothing at all. He just held the card reader in front of me. And they didn't even ask, "Did you enjoy it, ma'am?" That's normal, isn't it? My experience with Fratelli was unfortunately not pleasant! I think they can't run the restaurant properly due to staff shortages. And kindness costs nothing :) Kind regards, Patricia Westervoort.

My friend and I had a fantastic meal. The restaurant has a beautiful location, overlooking the water, the lock, and the city. The staff were super friendly.

Bad wine, very slow and bad service, food much below solid. Nice location and vibe.

Lunch, panini with mediocre toppings, or rather, minimal. Not bad flavor, but too little to truly enjoy. Ordering and getting your order to the table is extremely poor; there's simply not enough staff. If anything does come of your order, it's more or less a waste of time, and you should be on your knees in gratitude. The terrace is designed for the largest number of customers with the least amount of comfort for those customers. In short, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We had a reservation for 6:15 PM. We weren't seated until 30 minutes later. We were offered drinks, which were later added to the bill. We paid and then asked for the receipt, which you don't get automatically. 😉 We ordered a pizza with four cheeses and shrimp in oil, which were lukewarm and tasteless. The Sgroppino was good, though. The wine was really overpriced at €6.50.

Wow, what a place! The food was delicious and quickly served. We had pasta (ravioli) and pizza (fantasia), both were yummy! The service was really excellent, and a young lady was extremely helpful with our wish for a Fernet (or furnet? 😉). All people in the place were friendly. We sat inside for food, then went outside for another beer. Both places were lovely and well served. A good start into our vacation!

It was quite disappointing. The food was reasonable and good enough. That's only part of the restaurant experience. But a few things were disappointing. Initially, the staff wasn't very attentive, and it took quite a while for the first drink. The attitude and general atmosphere weren't very pleasant either. You really get the feeling that the customers will come anyway. But with nice weather like the last few days, you have a lot of competition from flies! And not so few, either; I've never had to shoo so many flies off my plate anywhere else in the world. Then you get a reaction like, "Yeah, that's what happens when you eat outside." That's partly true, but it certainly has to do with other factors as well. I'll just eat somewhere else for now.

Era un buen lugar para comer pizza y tomar bebidas. Fuimos con mi mamá a pasar un rato agradable en la zona donde vivimos. Pero la pizza que mamá consiguió era demasiado picante para ella. Todo lo demás fue bueno.

We ate here on Monday night – what a disaster. We waited 90 minutes just for the starter (shrimp). When it finally arrived, it was cold and not fresh at all. The service was slow, disinterested, and simply left us without any updates or apologies. After that cold plate of shrimp, we were completely done and left immediately. And as if that wasn't bad enough, I also got sick from the food. Bad food, bad service, sick stomach – absolutely NOT recommended, especially not on a Monday!

The food was excellent. The service was absolutely terrible. Probably understaffed, but the waitress could at least try to control herself. The table... has also been waiting half an hour for the main course, but I don't care anymore. This is loud and clear across the terrace. If you called her to order something else: "Yes, I'll be there later." Next time, we'll go somewhere where we're welcome.

The crusts were rock-hard and impossible to cut through with a sharp knife, so you had to bite off the pieces. It was certainly delicious, and the location was lovely, but the lady could be a bit friendlier and more of a hostess.

Wij komen al vele jaren bij het gezelligste restaurant van de randstad. Ongedwongen en met veel internationals uit Marokko, Nederland, Engeland, Italie, Studenten, Scholieren. Pizza's, Pasta's, Oesters, Vis(oa kreeft, garnalen, witvis etc) en fantastische kwaliteit vlees(ribeye, Chateau Briant mooie biefstuk) en vaak specialiteiten van de dag(geanimeerd gebracht door .....vraag zijn naam en hij vertelt het jullie/u in het Italiaans. In de keuken(half open) kunt u de Chef bezig zien. Al met al een feestje om hier te mogen/moeten/kunnen eten en dit alles tegen meer dan redelijke prijzen Mio/Ton van Helvert uit Voorburg(het concurentie dorp van Leidschendam!! Vraag vooral om de wijnkaart aan....... en hij zal u vakkundige informatie geven.

We recently had dinner at Fratelli in Leidschendam. It started promisingly with a good starter, but unfortunately the rest of the evening was disappointing. The main course was served within two minutes of the starter. A small moment of pause would have been nice to enjoy in peace. I ordered the pasta vongole, but it lacked the distinctive taste of garlic and white wine. The vongole themselves were tough and tasteless. My partner had a pasta with prawns, vongole and other shellfish, but unfortunately this dish was also not tasty and the shellfish were also tough. In addition, the service was disappointing. The staff seemed to have little experience with catering. My empty glass was taken away without asking if I wanted anything else to drink. I also found it striking that a classic such as a doppio was not known, which I would expect from an Italian restaurant. We shared our disappointment with the pasta and were offered a free dessert as compensation, which was decent. Still, the whole thing felt more like a large, busy diner than an authentic Italian restaurant. The toilet was also not in order: there was a lot of wetness and both the soap dispenser and a tap were broken. There was an improvised pump from the supermarket next to it.

We were with a group of 7, and while the setting was great, especially the outdoor seating, the overall experience left room for improvement. Free parking nearby is a nice bonus. The food was hit or miss. I had the Vitello Tonnato and the Ribeye alla Brace. The vitello tasted bland and the meat was dry, like it wasn’t freshly prepared. The ribeye was okay, cooked well, but lacked flavor due to a weak sear. Our dishes came out at all different times, with the last one arriving about 10 minutes after the first. Not ideal when you're dining as a group. Maybe it was due to the warm day, but still, that’s something they could tighten up. Great spot, decent food, but some service and kitchen coordination issues to work on.

The branch in Leidschendam has lost much of its shine. In the past, you were taken seriously as a customer. Not anymore. Too bad. The food is still ok, the service is abominable. They won't see me anymore and advise others not to come here either. Bad news always travels 7x faster.

Super tasty sandwich eaten with salmon. Nice view from the terrace on the lock. Inside it also looks great. Greetings we are in the neighborhood again have a bite.

On a busy Saturday before Pentecost, we had dinner with 8 people. We had made a reservation in advance. The atmosphere in the restaurant was almost fully occupied, and it was cozy. The staff (several with a clear Italian connection) were courteous, flexible, informal and correct. The participants ordered various dishes. Bruschettas to start with. Then the main course (various choices) followed by dessert (again, various choices) and coffee. Approximately 2 drinks per person. The kitchen staff assisted the service if necessary, so that the crowds did not affect the serving of the dishes. Cote de boeuf cut at the table, Scroppino assembled at the table. The quality of the dishes and drinks was impeccable. We had a great evening. Recommended!

It's a good place give it a try

Very tasty food, but the absolute highlight was the sgroppino prepared at the table. Never had it so good in the Netherlands. The other desserts were also great.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating when we arrived and explained the menu and specials that they had in detail. The five of us ordered 1 appetizers, 4 main dishes (a 800 gram steak shared between two) and 4 desserts. All of the dishes were delicious we especially enjoyed their cannelloni and raviola al tartufo! And if you love desserts we recommend their homemade panna cotta and tiramisu!

Although the setting is beautiful on the water, we once again had a very mediocre experience at Fratelli Leidschendam (a similar experience last summer). Ordered a children's pizza, piadine di pollo and lasagna for lunch. The piadine and pizza were served quite quickly with the message that the lasagna was coming. The piadine turned out not to be the chicken ordered, but salmon. After none of the waitresses noticed us, we walked in. Fortunately, we had the chicken on the table within a minute. Still no lasagna. After more than 10 minutes the lasagna arrived (without excuse). Of course the pizza and piadine were already gone. The lasagna also turned out to be lukewarm. Very bad! We indicated our dissatisfaction at checkout. A small apology followed and we were allowed to pay 50 euros. Our last time in this restaurant.

Nog nooit meegemaakt…. Medium Rare Entrecote van €32 bleek koud en rauw toen ik deze doorsneed. Luttele minuten nadat ik dit had aangegeven kreeg ik mijn doormidden gesneden entrecote afgespoeld en wel en nog even aangezet zo weer terug. Er was geen eigenaar aanwezig, geen leidinggevende…heb ‘t maar weer terug gegeven. Complete deceptie. Komen hier nooit meer terug en raad iedereen aan dat voorbeeld te volgen. Als je de boel zo slecht voor elkaar hebt, en je niet eens professionele mensen in de keuken kunt regelen, laat staan leidinggevenden die dit goed kunnen oplossen, verdien je het niet überhaupt open te mogen. Een ster is voor zoveel amateurisme nog te veel. Enig lichtpuntje een 16-jarige in de bediening die het goed begreep, vriendelijk was en professioneel.

Ravioli with salmon is highly recommended. It is customary in Italy to eat pasta and then the main course, but for me the ravioli was enough. The cappuccino is good too, and the service was fast and very friendly.

Was nice along the Vliet only salad didn't have a dressing. Felt a bit like a rabbit

Nice weather, very little service for the size of the terrace

Very pleasant restaurant, large, but not large-scale due to the division into various rooms. Friendly welcome and quickly ordered the first drink, a tasty Primitivo. Pleasant friendly staff, very alert and not pushy. The ordering then went very smoothly and the food was excellent: Gamberoni alla plancha and Linguine allo Scoglio. Both excellent, perfectly grilled shrimps and delicious seafood and the Linguini perfectly al dente. Afterwards, with a limoncello on the house (also delicious), we were completely satisfied for just under 60 euros. To remember and come back!

25 minuten wachten om te bestellen! Vandaag een drankje doen op het terras,1 onvriendelijke serveerster, die op een fles wijn hing, wel naar ons keek maar opnemen ho maar. Vorig jaar hetzelfde met deze dame, eindelijk besteld, alle mensen om ons heen, ook die na ons kwamen drankjes. Weer naar die dame gelopen en gevraagd, komen de drankjes nog! Geen aandacht, koffie en wijn? Ja, verder geen sorry, niks. Zo ongeschikt deze draak

An evening of delicious food with friends and the children. We went to eat here on the advice of our eldest daughter. What a nice restaurant with two older gentlemen who provide the charm and conviviality. The Côte de Boeuf was super tasty and the pizzas were large with good toppings. The rest of the service was reasonable to good, which was a bit of a shame.

Service and food were fine. Until they asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. We waited another half hour but nothing happened. It's a shame that you have to leave the place with that feeling (and without at least an espresso). More attention to the guests please.
