Upon entering, you walk partly through their little shop, where delicious desserts and antipasti greet you in the display case. The service is very friendly, and you sit close by with a nice view into the open kitchen. Delicious authentic food, a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. Think around 20 covers inside. Not a packed restaurant with noisy acoustics; it feels like you are sitting at someone's home. It is also pleasant to spend time outside on the car-free shopping street or in their courtyard at the back of the establishment. They also do catering, which is doing incredibly well.

It was a huge disappointment. I had a Vitello “Tonnato” sandwich with exactly one caper, and the tuna sauce that was supposed to go with it was nowhere to be found… Very poorly topped for €12.

We had an exquisite meal. You really feel like you're in Italy for a moment. The service is attentive and alert. We had Rigatoni Genovese and a lovely bottle of Barbaresco from Piedmont. I can recommend everyone eat here!

Delicious Italian sandwiches! Fresh, generously filled, and bursting with flavor. The combination of the crispy bread and the tasty Italian ingredients is a real treat. Definitely recommended for a delicious lunch. We will certainly be back!

What a wonderful experience this was. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes, which were not only beautifully presented but also full of flavor. The plates are stylish and rustic, which fits well with the warm atmosphere of the restaurant. The pastas and the fresh burrata with tomatoes were a particular hit with our party. Definitely worth a return visit.

Lunch. Our second time; last time was fine, though on the expensive side. Good wines. So we returned delighted. This time, however, we cannot give a passing grade. The pasta was cooked so soft that it fell apart. We could not recognize the n’duja in the sauce. Neither in taste nor in spiciness. We are Italian and know how this is supposed to taste. Our feedback was received laconically and, above all, indifferently by both father and daughter. Daughter said we should report it ourselves, and father shrugged his shoulders with just the word mannaggia (damn it)... we were allowed to pay the full price, without any effort. I think I would personally choose to deduct a drink from the total price, a coffee, or offer an apology. This attitude was not helpful. Too bad for Elpidio, but they won't be seeing us back anytime soon. This plate of pasta (not fresh homemade pasta) cost us €25.

We had a delicious meal. Portions were quite large. We drank a fantastic wine with it, which was specially recommended to us after we were first allowed to indicate what we liked. Top-notch service, we will definitely be back.

We had a delicious meal and the service was friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant and the quality of the food was good. However, we found the prices to be very high for what you get. €32.50 for an antipasto for two people that was not particularly large, pasta main courses between €28.50 and €40.00 per person, and €48.00 for a bottle of Primitivo di Manduria. For four people, the bill ultimately came to €359.90. Despite the good food, we found the price-quality ratio disappointing as a result.

I ate at this delicious, authentic Italian restaurant for the second time, and once again it was fantastic. Last time I had the pasta with octopus, this time the tuna — both exquisite. 👌 The tiramisu was truly amazing. 🤩 The service gets a solid 10, and the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and relaxed. The limoncino from the little shop at the restaurant is also highly recommended!

We were a group of 6 for dinner. From the antipasti to the most delicious, tender beef stew we have ever eaten. The desserts, from the tiramisu to the XL cannoli, were truly delicious. Last Thursday evening, we had a wonderful dinner here as a couple. Osteria Elpidio is a small restaurant with about 6 or 7 tables, which creates an intimate and cozy atmosphere. The open kitchen connects directly to the dining area, allowing you to watch the chef at work live. The service is very friendly and skilled, and the menu is explained in detail. We had a very pleasant evening and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. The rigatoni genovese is highly recommended.

Having lunch here had been on our wish list for a long time. We went today, March 3, 2026, but it was unfortunately very disappointing. The panini turned out to be a rock-hard, cold piece of toast, the mozzarella was very cold, and the other toppings consisted of two slices of tomato, three arugula leaves, some mint, and a few pine nuts. The taste was good, but the hard toast made it difficult to cut and eat. The portion wasn't a lunch portion either. More like a 4 p.m. snack. Once we got home, we made a regular sandwich.

In general - a very pleasant experience. First, the toilet was available even without blackmailing me into buying something - always a plus in my books. And honestly, this convinced me to turn into a customer. The lasagne was freshly made, prepared very well. Well seasoned, cooked to just the right temperature and consistency. The service was excellent, the waitress was very polite and positive. Prices were more than reasonable, especially considering the location and quality of food. The one missing star for atmosphere - the two cowbells on the door made it a bit awkward to get in and out of the place. All in all, great place, highly recommended.

Last Saturday, we spontaneously popped in with our husband and children. We had a delicious meal, and the service was impeccable. The desserts especially impressed our children: cannelloni with pistachio cream and a lemon-flavored whipped cream sponge cake—a real treat! We also thoroughly enjoyed the extensive selection of excellent wines. In short: a solid 10! ⭐️🍷

The sandwiches are way too expensive for what you get. The service was anything but friendly; you don't feel welcome. The sandwiches simply don't taste right, and they're dripping with oil. Such a shame; I won't be back.

Very nice eggplant parmigiana and panini

A sparsely filled Vitello Tonnato sandwich. Only three thin slices on the bun, so you can't taste the meat at all, and that for €11.50. The sandwich itself would have been nice with capers. But from now on, add two extra slices so you can really taste the meat.

Yesterday we had a wonderful meal at Osteria Elpidio in Voorburg – an absolute must for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine! Every dish was fresh, carefully prepared, and bursting with flavor. You can truly taste the passion for the craft in every bite. What made this lunch extra special was Nadia's warm welcome and hospitality. What a fantastic hostess! Warm, attentive, and with a genuine passion for the restaurant and her guests. She makes you feel right at home. All the dishes were excellent. A charming place with a relaxed Italian atmosphere.

Friendly service, she came to welcome us and explained the menu in detail and let us make our choice at our leisure. We spent a bit of money, but we had things like lobster and squid. Which was very well prepared! The service came every now and then to check if everything was to our liking and took the time to have a chat. We sat outside on a kind of patio/in a garden while eating. There weren't many tables, but that made it cozy. Definitely recommended!

Best Italian food I had since a long time! Restaurant with just a few tables but that makes the experience better. Lots of personal attention from the people and in for a laugh! Complementary wines. Nadia was our waitress,her front of house welcome was very warm and professional. She then proceeded to talk to us in depth about the menu and knew every detail of what was in each dish and described how it was cooked, bravo. This was exceptional high-quality Italian food. The menu was not vast but so so substantial and I think therein lies the success of Osteria Elpidio, they make really authentic Italian and to do so you need only a select few items on the menu, this owner knows their business 👏👏👏 Grazie molto to both Nadia and her Italian waiter assistant. We had wonderful service - bit of an oops on our part reservation wise - they greeted us and allowed us to stay! Watched as our appetizers were made in front of us and everything tasted great! Menu was word of mouth and had to pay attention to what was on offer. We each had primi but no time for secondi. The primi dishes were so tasty.

We made a mistake and reserved for the wrong date. The staff was lovely and made room for us at the bar. The food was absolutely fantastic, real Italian. Perfect pasta, lovely antipasto, yummy desserts. Great place to have dinner!

Everything delicious! I had a tricolore (sandwich with mozzarella, tomato, basil and good olive oil) and a torta al limone (lemon tart). Delicious! My friend had a vitello tonnato sandwich, he was also pleased. Top spot!

Authentic, small-scale Italian restaurant with a different menu every week. The menu is handwritten on a chalkboard, without using menus on the table. Delicious dishes, desserts and wines. The waiter was friendly, but only spoke Italian and could not communicate in Dutch or English, which made it difficult to inquire about certain things.

The quick spur of the moment lunch that I was treated to by my bosses was fabulous because of the quality and and flavor of the food here. I would highly recommend the truffel ravioli. Delicate, creamy and very flavourful. It was amazing! The waitress and chef were authentic Italian with a fun and friendly personality. If I were sitting outside in the sun and had closed my eyes I would have thought I was somewhere charming in Italy enjoying a plate of authentically delicious food. They also have a pick up menu. For a very good price you get a main dish, bread, a little wine. I'm looking forward to trying it out. You know what I will be ordering!

Osteria Elpido! Absolutely great!

Like having a piece of Napoli in Voorburg. Great food, great people and reasonably priced. They have daily menus based on the produce that's available and fresh. My wife and I love to come here.

Pasta del Giorno was "L'amatriciana". It was delicious, crispy guanciale, nice large penne and very tasty sauce. Recommended.

Delicious food! The pasta vongole cooked perfectly and all the mussels and vongole were good. The salmon was deliciously prepared, juicy and not dry. And for dessert we had a combination of different pastries, each of which was a delight for the palate.

What comes out of this kitchen borders on the unbelievable. You don't get more Italian and fresh than here. So do you fancy fresh tortellini with ricotta and spinach with wild mushrooms and real truffle? Then you have to go to Voorburg quickly! Once you taste it and you'll be hooked.. :-)

Heerlijk eten. Italiaanse sfeer. Gezellig. Wel forse prijzen.

Op het eerste gezicht lijkt het heel wat. Kasten vol wijn, rijk gevulde vitrine en vrolijke Italiaanse bediening. Maar op een hele avond blijkt die vrolijke bediening te zorgen voor heel wat lawaai. En dat is gewoon niet nodig voor een fijne sfeer. Ze roepen diverse teksten vanuit de keuken door de hele zaak naar voren. En dat maakt dat de gasten hard moeten praten om elkaar te verstaan. De kaart is beperkt maar dat is geen probleem. Alleen zijn de ingrediënten niet authentiek. Antipasti fantasieloos met standaard producten van de groothandel. Pasta is goed, de frutti di mare voorgekookt en de hele avond ongekoeld in de keuken. Risotto is een relatief kleine hoeveelheid in veel te groot onverwarmd bord. Die koelt dus razendsnel af. Voor water reken je bijna 7 euro af en voor vijf sneetjes ongevraagd brood 2,50. Beetje te commercieel. Al met al een pretentieus restaurant dat de verwachtingen niet waar kan maken. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding erg ongunstig. Zal er niet gauw teruggaan

The waiter was rude and disorganized and the service was poor. My friend and I had just finished our main course and we still had wine and water but all they cared about was asking if we wanted coffee or cappuccino and were not friendly. Approach us not just once but several times! They came over and asked if they could clear the plates while we were still eating dessert, I assumed they were new employees but I felt so uncomfortable and just wanted to leave immediately. This is not my first time but sorry it will be my last.

Eten is echt serieus goed. Vers, smaakvol en met liefde bereid. Service en sfeer zijn net zo goed als de geserveerde producten. Wellicht ietsjes duurder dan men gewend is, maar dubbel en dwars waard. 100% aanrader en een gemiste kans om de echte Italiaanse keuken te proeven als je besluit niet te gaan. DOEN dus!

Great wines, great food (real spaghetti carbonara and it is to die for). Beautiful tiramisu and even better canolo siciliano. Yes it’s a bit noisy and chaotic but that makes it so pure and authentic Italian. Just sit back, enjoy and let it happen the Italian way!
