An absolute must in Amsterdam 😊 Fulu Mandarijn is my favorite restaurant in Amsterdam, and not without reason. The Asian dishes are fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The service is attentive, fast and always friendly. Although the restaurant looks inconspicuous from the outside, there is a cozy and stylish atmosphere inside. No matter how often I am in Amsterdam, a visit to Fulu Mandarijn is a must for me!

Bathrooms are not so great. They don’t give you tap water. You have to buy a drink and only then you get tap water. They should really change this because this will piss off a lot of people Food is great, something that you would expect from a good sichuan restaurant. Service is good, they have a lot of staff that tend to customers. It’s very easy to get their attention One more thing is that the food is meant for sharing. So the portions are massive and so are the prices. So if you are just by yourself like I was, it will hurt you wallet

Nous avions hâte de retourner dans ce restaurant 5 ans après notre premier séjour à Amsterdam! Il est toujours aussi délicieux, rien à dire là dessus. En revanche quelques bemols: la bouteille d'eau plate sur la table facturée 8 Euros (quand on connaît le côté pimenté des plats Sichuan...), le dessert lapins commandé et quand on le demande, on nous dit qu'il n'y en a plus...il aurait été correct de nous l'indiquer alors que nous étions encore en train de l'attendre....et, le restaurant n'acceptant que du cash, la serveuse qui vérifie que les billets sont des vrais devant nous...une expérience donc mitigée et qui contraste avec la première en 2018.

Wow! This was the best Chinese restaurant we've been to so far! We were here as a small group (3 people) and had reserved in advance. The food was consistently incredibly good, a wonderful variety of flavors and creations. The service was always attentive and friendly. The cocktails were great! I can recommend the Fire Dragon! I particularly liked the fact that the order is placed using the tablet. An absolute recommendation! As soon as we are back in Amsterdam we will come back :)

The Maoxuewang is delicious, the duck blood is very tender and smooth, and the Thousand Layer Belly Squid is a great addition to the meal.

Great Chinese food! Amazing flavours and presentation of the different dishes!!! The sweet and sour chicken and the beef dish were my favourite! The pork belly dish was very tasty but more oily than I expected. The dumplings were tasty but not really my favourite Chinese starter.

Accueil très chaleureux et aucune attente malgré le fait que nous sommes arrivés à 20h30. La commande sur tablette s'est très bien passée malgré la difficulté que nous avons eu à comprendre au début. Les plats sont arrivés très rapidement, c'était excellent et bien épicé. Les prix étaient assez élevés mais la quantité des plats en valait le prix. Je conseille fortement !

Not been able to stop thinking about this place since we've been. Food was so fresh, hot and tasty. Only found it by chance when other UK tourist was looking for directions. Would deffo recommend.

Strolled in after a night on the town over Christmas holiday. We were instantly greeted and then served the most amazing and spicy dinner! Beef was on point but better yet a good surprise was the fried rice!

The food is ok but it is very dirty. The food that came out from the kitchen has a piece of order form on top of the dishes to identify the table no. When the waitress lift up the paper, it was soaking wet with gravy. The guy who is wearing a black jacket on the 2nd floor is very unhygienic. He kept blowing his nose with his hand, after that he serve food and use the same hand to take cutlery for the customer. Germs are everywhere. The whole scene caused me to lose my appetite. I am not going back there anymore.

We had the duck in the pineapple which was okay. Not the greatest we’ve had but tasty. Hot and sour soup was okay too. Expected a bit more from the ratings…just kind of normal Chinese nothing to go back for…

Today, I checked out Fulu, a famous Sichuan restaurant in the Netherlands, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The moment I walked in, I was amazed by the traditional Chinese-style decor, and with Christmas approaching, there were even festive decorations adding to the charm. The stone pot tofu and yu xiang eggplant were absolutely delicious, especially the eggplant. It was perfectly pan-fried with a crispy exterior and tender inside, coated in a sauce that was just incredible. The flavor was a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and slightly spicy, with so much depth—it was such a perfect match with rice that I finished a bowl in no time! The dishes were all so good with rice that I ended up ordering two extra bowls! I left feeling completely satisfied and happy, as if the delicious food had brought the sunshine back to my week after not seeing it for days.

Credit card and Amex are available in the restaurant, but for some reason they just do not wanna let you use credit card. This is annoying. I used credit card at the restaurant last week, but this time waiter insists they don’t accept it.

Authentic and spicy Chinese spot. This was not western style, more like Chong Ching chicken. I had kids with me so couldn’t go as extreme as I’d desire, but still fire. Hot n sour was great. Cucumbers were fresh and tangy, shrimp dumplings were good, kids loved them. String beans w chili were served in a great platter and we ate them all. Sweet and sour beef was perfect. Fried rice was good but small and could use soy sauce. Pork noodle dish was really good but I do t know what it’s called. I wanted duck and appreciate them saying it’s not the specialty. Menu was cool with an iPad and add to cart, kept it organized. Pitcher of Heineken was Perfect and a great value!

Combined with the homely environment and friendly service, it's a dining destination that you don't want to miss in Amsterdam.

fulu is near by central station. Very convenient. I like these dishes. Lazi Ji is a spicy and flavorful dish, featuring crispy chicken pieces tossed in a fiery chili sauce. Hui Guo Rou is a classic Sichuan dish, known for its tender, savory pork belly, which is stir-fried with leeks and a spicy bean paste, creating a rich taste profile. Shi Guo Yu offers a unique presentation, with fish cooked to perfection in a bubbling stone pot, infused with aromatic spices. Gan Bian Si Ji Dou are crisp and slightly charred, stir-fried with garlic and spices, creating a deliciously savory side dish. It is really a blessing to be able to eat such authentic Chinese food here! There are so many delicious dishes. Friends who like spicy food can order spicy chicken, mapo tofu, spicy stone pot fish, and friends who can't eat spicy food can order Japanese tofu with enoki mushrooms, fish-flavored eggplant, Kung Pao chicken, etc. I won't list them one by one here. Only by eating them in person can you empathize with my experience!

Fuloo, located near Dam Square, is hands down the best Chinese restaurant I’ve visited in Amsterdam. Two dishes completely stole my heart and reminded me of home. The Golden Needle Mushroom Tofu Pot is a must-try! The silky Japanese tofu melts in your mouth, while the mushrooms add a perfect texture. The broth is rich and flavorful, warming you from the inside out – a perfect comfort food experience. Another standout is the Yu Xiang Eggplant (Fish-Fragrant Eggplant). The eggplant is perfectly cooked – soft, tender, and infused with a sweet and tangy sauce that’s slightly spicy. Every bite is full of flavor, and it’s impossible to stop eating! This is a great place for people who really want to experience Chinese food. I think anyone who is addicted to Dutch Chinese should avoid this place. Food here has a natural taste and that can take some getting used to for people who grew up with added flavorings and sugars. If you are a home cook you will probably be fine. The food is quite satisfying. Many guests fill up quickly here. Fortunately, you can take the leftovers home neatly packaged. You can also order some dishes in a small version. You must order rice or noodles separately; useful to know. For the wine lover it is good to know that you can order a decent bottle of wine.

[Fresh Pot Rabbit] The rabbit meat is tender and spicy, and the more you eat it, the better it gets. [Golden Sand Corn] The natural sweetness of corn combined with the golden and crispy salted egg yolk has a wonderful taste. Just the right combination of salty and sweet These two dishes, one spicy and one sweet, go well together.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Fantastic authentic and spicy Sichuan food. Portions are sharing size and the spiciness is indicated with each dish. We had the Sichuan menu which was generous portions and the beans are the BEST! Try the bubble tea as well!

Among the Chinese restaurants I've eaten in Europe, this is one of the best. The staff are all very friendly and give honest advice that you can order less because the portions seem to be large. I was even more thankful that they even kept my bag that I forgot to leave behind!!

There was a mouse where our food came out from, after we ate and paid we saw it, when we brought to the attention of the manager the reaction was so underwhelming as if its not the first time they have been told this. They didn’t even offer to give us part of our money back, and the average main dish is 30€, not this quality from this price point!!! Will not be dinning again for sure

I had a business dinner here before and came back in my own time to have lunch here for 2 people. The price quality of the food is good. The service of the waiter helping us is very thoughtful and considering our situation. It wasn't to busy this time around but all the staff were having a nice time and attending everybody in the restaurant. Will for sure recommend this to other people and would definitely come back!

Tasty but *very* overpriced food, the duck was a bit dissatisfying but overall the dishes were great. Service was strange, you’re supposed to order on iPads but you then have to wait for the waiter to come and send your order to the kitchen/bar so I wonder what the point of the iPad is? In addition the waiters were working very slow.. bathrooms were freeezing cold, not at all pleasant for the guests!
