Pizza just can't get any better! The crust and base are crisp yet chewy and flavorful. I usually leave the crust but here I ate all of it and want more!

I turned up without a reservation with 2 other solo travellers and got welcomed well and only had to wait a couple of minutes for a seat. The food was amazing and a good selection for vegetarians. I really loved my pizza, it really hit the spot. We didn't have any alcohol, but they do have good options. The service was amazing, friendly and ineojld recommend coming here for some proper Italian pizza.

After traveling all over Italy for nearly three months, we can honestly say we rarely had pizzas this good. True Neapolitan-style pizzas from a real oven, like you’d expect in Naples itself, absolutely delicious. The service is just as Neapolitan: warm, lively and welcoming!

I went here for dinner with friends for my birthday and we enjoyed ourselves so much! We had a delicious meal and drinks in a lovely atmosphere. The starters (charcuterie, cheese, olives, bruschetta), the pizzas, and the desserts (scroppino and tiramisu) were truly delicious and the service perfect. Just a no-nonsense pizzeria with quality food, drinks, and service. I'll be back soon :)!

Very tasty Neapolitan pizza! The crust was thin and fluffy, and the crust was particularly well done. I had a tuna pizza with fresh tuna and a really good tomato sauce. The staff was friendly and attentive, but they forgot about us twice after we tried to pay. The only downside: it's very warm inside (we were there in the summer), as the kitchen is open to the restaurant. Otherwise, absolutely recommended for good food.

Best pizza in Amsterdam, I tried many places over the years but, as an Italian, this is absolutely the best you can find here! The sourdough is so tasty and easy to digest, even a simple Margherita becomes a special pizza! I tried the tiramisù and it was just like my grandma does, superb! Service also always smiling and great atmosphere! Well done guys!

Having grown up in Italy, I never know what to expect from pizza in other countries, but this sourdough pizza met all the criteria for awesomeness and made me enjoy every single bite. This time I chose the salsiccia pizza, and the ingredients and cooking were spot on. The price was fair for such amazing quality and the great service made this experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back to try different pizzas!

Best sourdough Pizza of Amsterdam! No debate... We have been coming to this pizza place for more than 5 years ! The 5 cheese pizza and Fuoco special with truffle salami are to die for... We always order same pizzas and in 5 years we always and I say again always had superb pizza cooked... Quality and service never changed... Keep up the good work Lelo and Celo. An authentic Italian place. I came with an Italian friend and speak the language a little myself, the stuff radiates Italian charm and is happy to exchange a bit in their native language. The food impeccable, excellent pizza and focaccia but I would put the focus on the savory dishes. Whenever you feel like eating Italian, this is one of the places to go!

There are trendier pizza places in Amsterdam. There are more gourmet pizza places in Amsterdam. But there is no better pizza place in Amsterdam than Fuoco Vivo. End of story

Authentic Italian restaurant. Just outside the city center and easy to reach. Very cozy and tasty. Not expensive. Not many tourists, fortunately. And they all speak Dutch!!! Where else do you find this in Amsterdam???

I had an amazing experience at Fuoco Vivo! The tuna pizza was absolutely delicious!! full of flavor and perfectly baked. The atmosphere was great and relaxing, and the host was super friendly and welcoming. My food came very quickly, and everything tasted incredible. Highly recommended , I’ll definitely come back!

The flavors are authentic, the crust is perfectly crisp yet soft inside, and the ingredients are clearly top quality. Every bite took me straight to Italy. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff truly care about what they serve. An absolute gem — I’ll be coming back again and again!

Delicious sourdough pizza and the dessert was a great taste to finish off with. The garlic focaccia was well balanced with salt, garlic and nice puffy and chewy dough. The pizza dough had just the right chewiness and thickness (not too thick but enough to hold the topping) and what made it even better was the home made chilli oil. I would have liked a little more tomato base on my pizza (mushroom with ham) but it was still super tasty and i would def go back again. The tiramisu and panna cotta were sweet but not overly so. Would definitely recommend.

This restaurant offered a solid dining experience. The pizzas were definitely a highlight—well-cooked with a crispy crust and great flavor. The tiramisu was quite good as well, though not the best we’ve had. We decided to try panna cotta for the first time, but unfortunately, it wasn’t really my thing. On the bright side, the service was exceptional—friendly and attentive throughout. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, and we will be returning to try more pizzas.

We tried the 5 cheese, tuna and Marguerite pizzas. Especially the one with 5 cheeses was very satisfying. House wines are also easy to drink and a nice pizza accompaniment.

We have been to this restaurant twice so far and both experiences have been great. It has your typical warm and cosy Italian restaurant atmosphere, and the level of service and food quality was just amazing. Loved their pizzas and their homemade chilli oil paired with it well. Their homemade tiramisu was even better than what I’ve had in Italy. Will definitely go back again and again.

The food at Fuoco Vivo was delicious and authentic. The staff also spoke and understood Italian, highlighting that it is indeed an authentic restaurant. We tried one of the specials, the Pancetta & Radicchio pizza and it was really good and worth trying. The prices were reasonable, the portions were large, and the service was fast with us receiving our food in about 15 minutes. The panna cotta was also really good and came as a pretty large portion.

Only Italian pizzas, very good.

We visited for an early evening pizza. The food was excellent the wine was excellent and so was the service. The place is really clean and we love to see the pizza oven in the open kitchen. Only marked atmosphere down as it was very early. We passed the restaurant the night before and it was really full. Would not hesitate to recommend the restaurant to friends and family.

If you are looking for a delicious pizza, look no further! Here you have made a delicious pizza with sourdough dough, a bit on the expensive side, but you certainly get value for your money! The staff is friendly, but sometimes they are simply working hard and therefore don't have much time for an extensive chat. Definitely recommended!

Wow, wow and wow. One of the tastiest, if not the tastiest pizza I have eaten. Normally I leave the crusts behind, but here I eat everything, the sourdough pizza is a specialty in itself. Parking is a disaster, but it's really worth it :)

I'm sorry, this is the first and last time I order pizza from here. Here is how it just arrived... It was hard to get to the delivery service and seems impossible to get a refund.

De beste pizza’s in Amsterdam. Voor ik in Amsterdam kwam wonen, woonde ik een tijd in Italië. Het duurde even voor ik de zelfde smaak beleving van een echte pizza kon vinden in Amsterdam. Bij Fuoco Vivo was ik aan het juiste adres. Het heerlijke knapperige deeg en de rijk belegde pizza uit een echte steenoven is mijn wens voor een goede pizza. Daarnaast is het personeel Italiaans wat voor mij een extra beleving geeft en mij terugbrengt naar Florence, Italië. Geen hippe muziek of een hippe inrichting (zoals de meeste restaurants in Amsterdam tegenwoordig). Deze authentieke en gezellige plek is echt een pareltje in Amsterdam. Fuoco Vivo kan ik iedereen aanraden die van goed eten houd.
