This restaurant offered a solid dining experience. The pizzas were definitely a highlight—well-cooked with a crispy crust and great flavor. The tiramisu was quite good as well, though not the best we’ve had. We decided to try panna cotta for the first time, but unfortunately, it wasn’t really my thing. On the bright side, the service was exceptional—friendly and attentive throughout. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, and we will be returning to try more pizzas.

Fantastic real Italian pizzas (that base!), relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Don't forget the sgroppino: the tastiest I have ever tasted outside Italy.

My favorite pizzeria! The taste of the pizza is amazing. The people there are always nice and the atmosphere is very relaxing and warm! Happy to go at least once a week. Perfect spot to relax and eat a real Italian pizza :)

We tried the 5 cheese, tuna and Marguerite pizzas. Especially the one with 5 cheeses was very satisfying. House wines are also easy to drink and a nice pizza accompaniment.

We have been to this restaurant twice so far and both experiences have been great. It has your typical warm and cosy Italian restaurant atmosphere, and the level of service and food quality was just amazing. Loved their pizzas and their homemade chilli oil paired with it well. Their homemade tiramisu was even better than what I’ve had in Italy. Will definitely go back again and again.

The food at Fuoco Vivo was delicious and authentic. The staff also spoke and understood Italian, highlighting that it is indeed an authentic restaurant. We tried one of the specials, the Pancetta & Radicchio pizza and it was really good and worth trying. The prices were reasonable, the portions were large, and the service was fast with us receiving our food in about 15 minutes. The panna cotta was also really good and came as a pretty large portion.

Only Italian pizzas, very good.

We visited for an early evening pizza. The food was excellent the wine was excellent and so was the service. The place is really clean and we love to see the pizza oven in the open kitchen. Only marked atmosphere down as it was very early. We passed the restaurant the night before and it was really full. Would not hesitate to recommend the restaurant to friends and family.

We loved the food, the host, and the atmosphere. Cute little hole in the wall with a wood oven and skilled pizza chefs.

If you are looking for a delicious pizza, look no further! Here you have made a delicious pizza with sourdough dough, a bit on the expensive side, but you certainly get value for your money! The staff is friendly, but sometimes they are simply working hard and therefore don't have much time for an extensive chat. Definitely recommended!

Wow, wow and wow. One of the tastiest, if not the tastiest pizza I have eaten. Normally I leave the crusts behind, but here I eat everything, the sourdough pizza is a specialty in itself. Parking is a disaster, but it's really worth it :)

Sourdough pizza with fresh ingredients with a beautiful dough. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in a while. Large table of 8 and severed very quickly. You can watch the dough get processed while you sit.

Truly one of the tastiest pizzas I ate in Amsterdam! I highly recommend the pizza with spicy salami, there is also Madame Jeanette oil on the table and it is really delicious. Also very friendly service!

I'm sorry, this is the first and last time I order pizza from here. Here is how it just arrived... It was hard to get to the delivery service and seems impossible to get a refund.

Kind and accommodating service even under high pace, which is not trivial! Light and good pizza. Simple menu which for me is a big plus.

Fuoco vivo is a certainty, a good, authentic Pizza in a central location in Amsterdam. Too bad they don't serve salsiccia e friarielli, that would be the cherry on the cake.

De beste pizza’s in Amsterdam. Voor ik in Amsterdam kwam wonen, woonde ik een tijd in Italië. Het duurde even voor ik de zelfde smaak beleving van een echte pizza kon vinden in Amsterdam. Bij Fuoco Vivo was ik aan het juiste adres. Het heerlijke knapperige deeg en de rijk belegde pizza uit een echte steenoven is mijn wens voor een goede pizza. Daarnaast is het personeel Italiaans wat voor mij een extra beleving geeft en mij terugbrengt naar Florence, Italië. Geen hippe muziek of een hippe inrichting (zoals de meeste restaurants in Amsterdam tegenwoordig). Deze authentieke en gezellige plek is echt een pareltje in Amsterdam. Fuoco Vivo kan ik iedereen aanraden die van goed eten houd.

Perfecte 5 kaas pizza gegeten, ik neem altijd overal de 4 of 5 kazen maar deze sprong er echt uit. Mega vers, overheerlijke kaas smaak en voortreffelijke bediening. Open keuken is erg leuk om te zien. Prijzen zijn alleszins redelijk. Ja hier kom ik heel graag terug want ik heb genoten (ik was hier 18 oktober, review nu pas aan toegekomen)

Prima volta in questa pizzeria, sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Servizio veloce, buona qualità di materie prime, pizza in stile napoletano, ottimo tiramisu, buone porzioni e condimenti. Prezzi in linea con la posizione del locale.

2 uur op de pizza’s gewacht die zowat koud aankwamen. Op de site staat 36-50 minuten wachten, in de chat zeiden ze dat dat hoort bij de leveringsvoorwaarden. In mijn ogen moet je gewoon nee leren zeggen tegen klanten als de levertijd zo uitloopt, of iets anders voorstellen. De pizza’s smaakten wel aardig, maar lauw en ongesneden. De randen vonden we taai en smakeloos. We hadden gevraagd de cherry tomaten weg te laten, die zaten er helaas wel op. Bij 1 van de pizza’s lag de kaas ernaast. Wellicht hadden wij net pech, maar voor die prijzen kan je wel wat meer service verwachten. Bij andere restaurants betaal je tot 20% minder voor dezelfde kwaliteit pizza. Denk aan Lucca Due, Pizzabakkers en Bij Barba.

Amazing alternative if Nea next door is fully booked. I appreciated that this place was not overrun and much less hot. I had a half calzone which was new to me and delicious. The service was friendly and fast. Only the atmosphere was a bit old-fashioned but that might be something you like.

They could offer a vegan pizza but didn't have plant-based milk. I was really craving a latte so when I asked if it's okay if I bring an oatmeal latte from another place but they refused, even though I was ordering food with them. Minus points for inflexibility and not caring about customers with dietary restrictions / allergies. As a restaurant in the middle of Amsterdam, how hard is it to have a pack of soya/oat milk? Plus points for making the pizza vegan, it tasted fine too.
