Excellent value and super fresh ingredients! Loved it for a quick snack, and the staff are really friendly.

You order a sammich then they bake the bread. You can figure out the rest when you come here.

Friday evening during Ascension weekend, the stroke of 7:00 PM. I walk towards the center of Amsterdam via Waterlooplein and Nieuwmarkt. Amidst all the movement and voices, Koningstraat suddenly catches my attention. At number 19, I recognize it immediately: Il Sogno. A concept store, they call themselves. And somehow, that fits perfectly. Even their Pizza Salame Dulce feels like a concept—but one that is wonderfully well executed. The pizza at Il Sogno strikes the perfect balance between firm and soft. Not too hard, not too airy. The melted cheese glides past your mouth, your lips, your hands, as if you want to hold onto the taste for a moment longer before it disappears. Just when the cheese demands your attention, the salami kisses your lips with that full, spicy flavor of life around the Mediterranean Sea. Everything seems to fall exactly into place. For a moment, I imagined myself somewhere in Italy, while unexpected American hits played in the background. Bridges were being built there, too. At Il Sogno, the same thing happened, but with taste. A bridge between countries, memories, and desires. Pure taste, I call that. Or perhaps it really was all just a dream. And if you enjoyed yourself, please remember to leave a tip.

We were exploring the city when we decided to stop at this restaurant completely by chance. What a lovely surprise! The pizzas are delicious, especially the truffle one. The service is quick and efficient. A few more tables for four would be welcome. Thank you so much!

I was there multiple times because the food was delicious and they have a big variety of food choices. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was prepared rapidly. I definitely can recommend it!

The Margherita pizza was delicious and the service was excellent. The cashier who served me was very friendly, and an Italian employee was also very attentive. Highly recommended if you go to Amsterdam.

The product quality doesn't match the price. Furthermore, there's a noticeable lack of organization among the staff, creating a somewhat tense atmosphere. At least it's not too far from the city center.

The food has a lower quality than expected for thoose prices, its not woth It at all. The service from the personal was gratefull. I dont recommend It, but the waitstaff was quite profesional.

I had ordered a pizza via Thuisbezorg for takeout. When we arrived, it was very cozy inside, so we decided we wanted to eat there after all. This was no problem; we were able to sit down right away and received the pizza on a plate. The 3 men who were making the pizzas were very friendly. The service is amazing; I had accidentally ordered a different truffle pizza, but he immediately offered to swap it. I said that wasn't necessary, but that I would like a little extra ham and arugula, and that for the other pizza as well. They did this without any hesitation and with a big smile. When I asked how much they were getting from me, they waved me away and said absolutely nothing! In short, a really nice place with amazing staff. Highly recommended!!

I came in to Il Sogno craving the Parma sandwich, and came out a new person. Before I even talk about the food, the staff was so kind and passionate with their craft. The sandwich was exquisite from the bread to the cheese, creating a true work of art. Was so tasty I had to come back the next day and was just as good.

A small but grate place to have a pizza! Small room with only few tables inside but with very cozy style. The pizzas are delicious and it just takes some minutes to prepare them. If you are nearby and feel you need something good amd not expensive to eat, this place is a great choice. The only small issue for me was that no beer with alcohol is served with the food. Not a big deal anyway.

The pizzas were delicious and the place was so nice. We ordered a sweet salami pizza and a four-cheese pizza, and both were fantastic. The place is also very peaceful and has a great atmosphere.

Really great pizzeria we found here. The restaurant has only a few places to sit, but if you are lucky to find a place for you, that only adds to the experience, as it gives this familiar and cozy feeling. I also love it when you can see the people cooking and preparing your meal. All three pizzas were delicious, with a nice crispy and thin dough. For me, the anchovies pizza was the clear winner here, but this can be a little biased, as it was the pizza I ordered myself 😁

Authentic Italian pizza. I had real pizza at your place for the first time in my life. Unfortunately, I have to drive 30 minutes to eat there, but it's definitely worth it!

I can’t believe I’ve lived here so long and never been to this gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is so cozy! The service was incredible. The owner was willing to accommodate our dietary needs. We ordered a second pie after inhaling the first. My eldest said “compliments to the chef”! If you are vegan, you should absolutely go here. A new family favorite.

The staff are very polite, very upbeat and welcoming. The atmosphere I liked very much, it was very vibey and fit the theme of the restaurant. I enjoyed the pizza as well, although I have to admit I’ve had better, but it was still very very nice nonetheless, no actual complaints here, and I would go again.

Small pizza place. You order at the counter then pick up your food. They have some tables for dining indoors and outdoors. They do not have WiFi. Several of the cooks were eating food between preparing the food. I found it to be unhygienic.

Tasty pizza at an affordable price

We arrived with eight people and were well received (given the quality of hospitality in the capital's restaurants). The pizzas are good, the drinks are affordable, and the tiramisu is excellent. You'll also find some Italian products for sale. Very good value for money, and the setting is charming. The only downside: you can't drink alcohol on site, but the experience is still excellent.
