Their cocktails are amazing. We had a pornstar martini and an espresso martini and they were both great. Would definitely recommend.

This is a really great restaurant. We got free apple juice due to a mistake. And I fell in love with the burger itself. I couldn't stop ordering smoothies!

Had a beer on the terrace. The Strandstruner from Tesselaar is a delicious beer. After waiting 10 minutes on the terrace, I had to go inside to order. After that, they always came out politely. Great place for a beer and a bitterbal.

The "Gastro Pub MANS" is located in the heart of DEN BURG on Stenenplaats. The pub has a quaint, typically Dutch, old-fashioned, cozy atmosphere. There's also a large terrace on Stenenplaats under a huge 🌳 linden tree, where we love to sit. On nice days, it's rather difficult to get a seat and there's a wait. Therefore, reservations are recommended. The food is excellent, and the apple pie 🍏🥧 is divine!

We ordered a platter with a variety of dishes. It was wonderful to be able to try so much. Delicious food at a good price. The staff was very helpful, even when we wanted to change seats. We were here during the summer holidays. Around 5:30 pm, there was plenty of room.

Gastropub Mans was a unique experience; the terrace immediately caught our eye because it's located in the middle of the square in Den Burg. A nice fire in the back. We first ordered a piña colada and a strawberry daiquiri and were very surprised by the taste. They're not classic cocktails, but more like alcoholic smoothies; the piña colada tastes like banana 😂. The food was better, a fun concept with all the small bites, surprisingly tasty. We had rendang, a mini burger, bao buns with pork belly and salt cod, and shrimp croquettes. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Service was very friendly and quite prompt. The apple pie was just okay.

The two of us dined here tonight, and our dog was welcome to join us. Dian and Shania, the waitstaff, were very friendly and cheerful. The chefs also did a great job, not only preparing the food but also singing. We had a delicious meal. The fact that the owner is an Ajax fan is a plus. One tip for the owner: put a female Ajax fan on the door of the women's restroom.

After visiting a nearby museum, we arrived around 1 p.m. in the busy, touristy town of Den Burg for (at least, that was the plan) a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. After ordering coffee and the disinterested waitress was about to leave, we asked if they had any pastries on the menu. The response that followed was far from friendly and unusual: "I need to check, because they were already out of stock this morning?" Quite unusual for such a busy place, where, of all places, the bakery is across the street. The waitress said she would go inside and check. A little later, she returned with the message that they only had waffles, but she had already made the coffee. A bit of a shame... so we ended up having coffee without any pastries, which we ultimately got from the bakery. I wouldn't recommend this establishment, partly because the waitstaff gave the impression that crowds are the only thing that counts, and their friendliness was lacking.

Lovely large terrace and good value for money. A surprising meat or fish platter, or a combination of both, as a shared meal for two people.

The food was quite good, but unfortunately, the experience suffered from the service. The waitress seemed visibly annoyed, especially when dealing with children. We had to wait a long time for the bill, and when it finally arrived, it was handed over in a rather annoyed and unfriendly manner. It's a shame, because the ambiance was actually nice, but the service significantly dampened the overall impression.

We were there for a quick lunch stop. The staff was neutral, not particularly friendly, but not unfriendly either. The two of us ordered four "smaller" dishes. At around €7.50 each, I obviously wasn't expecting a main course, but I was still disappointed by the portions. Furthermore, the salad was served without dressing. However, we were given some upon request. A 0.2-liter Coke for €3.70 is also an expensive refreshing drink. The ambiance on the terrace is pleasant.

Stopped in for a drink today. The service was great and friendly. The beer platter was delicious; perhaps they should mention which beers they were. The dishes that came by looked good, but I didn't try them myself. And for the men: Drink enough so you can use the restroom; a legend is being honored here!

Insider tip! Inconspicuous from the outside and simple in appearance. But then! Quaint inside and actually very friendly service!!! We had a very nice and friendly young man who seemed to have us in off the street. The menu is simple and staggered by the time of day. We were here today after 5 p.m. and had a round table for four with really comfortable chairs directly to the left of the entrance. Heineken on tap 😀! We highly recommend the spare ribs (they fell off the bone when we looked at them and were tender pink inside) with fresh fries and salad! Simply amazing and what a portion!!! We also had the burger platter with fresh fries and salad. Here, too, everything was sensational and perfectly prepared! The price-performance ratio is unbelievably good! For dessert, there was a delicious crème brûlée. Also excellent!!! Everything was perfect, and that's why we tipped generously! We'll definitely be back one of these days and try other dishes!

We thoroughly enjoyed the hustle and bustle of Den Burg. A visit to Texel is essential, including a stop at the terrace at Stenenplaats. A must for us. We regularly have a coffee or a drink here. Last time, we also had a delicious sandwich. Highly recommended.

You should definitely stop for a bite to eat and a drink; the tapas are delicious. The people are super friendly.

It's a nice place, with a good location and a great atmosphere. However, the food takes a very long time, which can vary from day to day. We had the all-you-can-eat menu (which allows you to order two small dishes per person per round) and now have to wait an hour per round... This keeps us hungry, and we're constantly waiting for the food. The food is very tasty, though, so I'd recommend just a tasty main course instead of the all-you-can-eat option. The staff is very friendly. The kitchen needs to get its act together, though. Hence the 3 stars.

This place exceeded all our expectations! Guests can order a fish platter here. All the dishes (tapas) were delicious. We enjoyed a Sauvignon Blanc with our meal. Very tasty. I asked the waiter what kind of Texel beer they had. Besides the usual Skuumkoppe, they also had Tesselaar, a craft beer. Because I wasn't sure whether I wanted the weizen or the other variety, I was allowed to try a few to see what I liked. Very hospitable! Finally, we tried a "Texel coffee" for the first time, with a "juttertje" (a Dutch "Juttertje"). This was also a pleasant surprise. The staff is also very pleasant to chat with and very friendly. We will definitely be back!

Very nice service. Last year I had pulled pork nachos, and this time I did too. The first time was really enjoyable, but unfortunately, they were a bit disappointing this time. Otherwise, it's a pleasant place to sit, and the staff keeps a close eye on the weather.

A lovely restaurant in the heart of Texel with a large outdoor area. It's a bit like tapas. You order small portions and then eat them on a separate plate. My highlight was the sweet potato fries. But the tomato soup and the carp sandwich also looked very good. The menu is also available in German. The only downside is that there's only one women's restroom in the entire restaurant, and it looked a bit off.

It was delicious again. We go to Texel a few times a year, the only restaurant we visit is Mans. We have bumped our noses many times at others. Until next time

In April, my husband and our friend enjoyed a beer on the terrace. When he went to the toilet, a waitress dropped the tray and, among other things, a large amount of chili sauce ended up on my husband's pants. Quite annoying during a day of cycling. They apologized and had to pay for the beers we had consumed. When my friend and I also arrived on the terrace, we asked behind the bar and indeed, this was the procedure. The pants were really ruined. The waitress indicated that if I wanted to get a response, I had to contact the owner. I sent him an email the next day. I still haven't heard anything. I treated the pants that my husband had only had for a week, but the stains really didn't come out. The annoying thing I find is: a. that we had to pay for the beers, b. that my email was never responded to. SO WE WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!

Great spot to have a drink, with a good range of snacks and sandwiches. The kabbeljouw bao bun was excellent! Service can be a little slow.

We were kindly provided with a rag to wipe the dirty table.... The waitress was annoyed when we asked for the numerous shards of glass to be removed from under the table (some of which were then eventually wiped up). We couldn't pay individually, saying it would be too much work for her.... Dishes were charged twice on the bill, with no apology. She was very annoyed that we checked the bill. Tourist trap!!!!

In 2025 full stinking ashtrays outside on the table and smokers around you while you are having lunch. The table is cleaned with a wet dirty cloth and the toilet is just as dirty as along a French highway. Spoils your entire eating and drinking pleasure because that is otherwise nice, including the heat lamps. For an old-fashioned pub evening aka 2000 nice, not to sit and have lunch

A very nice spot in the center of Den Burg. Had a nice lunch, with a wide choice of dishes at normal prices. The concept of the menu is nice, but naming yourself so positively on the menu was not necessary for me personally. But that doesn't detract from the rest.

Best place in the castle to watch. We've only been there for hot drinks and have always sat outside. Nice service!

Yesterday I came there with my dog ​​to have a drink on the terrace. I ordered a cocktail, strawberry daiquiri, and after a long wait the waiter came to tell me that the strawberry daiquiri was finished. Strange that I had to wait so long when it was not busy at all, neither on the terrace nor inside the restaurant. So I decided on something different and went for a mocktail. A little later I received a mocktail in a small glass with lots of ice cubes... I was curious about the price because the prices of the drinks are not on the menu. 10 euros! At first I thought I didn't hear it right. It seemed like the price was made up on the spot...sorry but I feel cheated!

It is cramped inside, but cozy. The food and service are actually always good. Whenever we are on Texel, we always have lunch here. Last time we had to wait a little longer before we were helped, but other than that it was good.

You can eat well here. Not expensive either.

After being tipped off many times, we went here for dinner yesterday. What a nice concept! The friendly service explains the new concept clearly and gives you plenty of time to make a choice. Instead of individual dishes, we opted for the mixed board, what a good choice that was! Delicious dishes, everything is really homemade and the flavors are fantastic! For dessert we had a dessert board, again it was all very tasty. You get nice portions that are easy to share. Everything is neatly presented and the prices are also normal. We had a great evening on one of the nicest terraces in Den Burg!

The pub with a large outdoor area is located right in the center. Here you can sit comfortably and sociably under a chestnut tree. Good menu and very friendly and fast service. It's worth a visit. 🤩

Pretty nice gastro pub! This pub middle of the downtown of Den Burg. The atmosphere of the outside seats is amazing. I can spend here all day long. Here can drink the local Texel beer what is delicious. Actually this bar is a tapas bar, most foods is small portions. We ate more kind of and all was LEKKER. The foods are delicious, fresh and made by quality gradients. The price are really friendly. Staffs are professional and friendly and kind. Sure we will come next time when we are on the island of Texel.

What a witch of a woman works there, this is simply ridiculous. I sat at the tent for 15 minutes before I was approached, then I had to wait 40 minutes for a simple order and it was not busy at all. In summary, it is simply a first-class VEETSCHUUR
