We were very impressed by the delicious food and excellent service! Even though it was already closing time, there was still dessert. The creme brulee was simply delicious, worth every calorie. Thank you for a wonderful farewell dinner!

We arrived here for dinner at 8:15 PM. The main course arrived while we were still eating the appetizer. We felt like we were being ignored. The food was simply not good. The stew was a tough piece of meat. We felt like it was a frozen meal (sorry, but the prices don't reflect that). The vegetables (carrots) were limp and black. The pork tenderloin was mediocre. A nice bonus was that we were allowed to sample the rosé in small glasses. We should have read the dinner reviews sooner; otherwise, we wouldn't have gone there.

During our stay in De Koog, we had dinner at the La Casserole restaurant three times. The service was super friendly and the food was excellent!

Never eaten such bad kibbeling on Texel ... felt like it was fried three times ... hard and dry, when I complained the waiter at the table crushed the kibbeling between her fingers and said that it was OK 😫😫🙈

We had a delicious chicken satay with peanut sauce at La Casserole. It was an unexpected family dinner. Thanks in part to the friendly and efficient service, it was a real treat. Many thanks.

The food was incredibly delicious 😋 We had veal liver, lamb stew, pork fillet, and kibbeling. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the dogs were immediately given a bowl of water 😃

We ate here yesterday for a late lunch. The mussels were excellent. The restaurant was spotless—I've never seen such spotless restrooms in a restaurant! The head waiter was curt, but not unfriendly. A great place for a bite to eat.

Bad service. Menus were put down (on another table). After that we waited to order something. New guests were served first. When we asked her attention we were waved away. We just left to a restaurant opposite with excellent service.

A great place to have lunch while shopping in De Koog. The staff is friendly and the food tastes good. We had the Philly cheesesteak, two croquettes on bread and the tuna melt. Maybe not the nicest terrace, but you'll be fine there.

I honestly haven't had such a bad meal in a restaurant in years. Frozen hamburger for 19.50. Ribeye first battered, then well fried, but with bad meat that doesn't help. Plate garnish from the 1970s with tomato slices, lettuce and cheap olives. The nice lady serving has earned 5 stars. The kitchen? Zero. If you have no love for the product. Then stop it.

A lovely place with patio heating and super tasty bitterballen. Sitting comfortably on a cloudy day. Nice man at the counter. We will definitely come again.

Very great restaurant. We had dinner and loved it. Very child-friendly and customer-oriented, as has never been seen before in the Netherlands. From the chair to the painting supplies to the selection and portions, we were thrilled. The service was attentive, the food came quickly, fresh and tasty.

Today around lunchtime arrived at "Restaurant La Casserole" in the shopping street in De Koog, on the menu was my favorite menu of "Gebakken Ei". The staff was nice and helpful.

We were going to eat somewhere else in De Koog yesterday. Which was not a success at all. Ended up eating here. It was already quite late, but we were still able to sit down. Very friendly staff and the food was served quickly. The food was also very tasty.

The menu promises a lot, unfortunately most of it is overpriced for the quality offered (deep-fried, ready-made sauce). You can't go wrong with burgers and mussels.

Mussels, perfect and the extras with dinner such as fries and bread and etc. Great. 1 tip, the salad could be a little less coarse. For the rest, nothing but praise. The service is also very nice.

Good food, excellent price/quality ratio. Here too, it's a shame that the staff doesn't speak a word of Dutch. In many places (especially restaurants) on Texel, this seems to be the standard.

Very friendly staff, very kind to the dog, received a bowl of water and a pat on the head. You can also sit there comfortably, in the sun but protected from any wind. I would leave it at a drink, because the food was disappointing. Four of us had the same number of different main courses. The carpaccio had a lot of not so fresh lettuce with way too much pickle. The gratinated goat cheese salad was not gratinated and drowned in the sauce. It contained tangerine which tasted rotten and probably was considering the stomach ache it gives me. The spareribs had little flavor and were tough. The rump steak was more raw than the medium requested. Given the tourist prices they ask... a shame, because it is a really nice place.

Food (fish stew, lamb stew and spare ribs) were tasty, fries could be ordered for free. Service was really great, but the atmosphere was not very special (partly due to the bad weather, I think).

A very nice restaurant with delicious food!! We ate here twice this autumn holiday and it was excellent both times! Rolling back to the caravan. If you are in De Koog, definitely have a bite to eat here. Very friendly employees, delicious food, cozy atmosphere... Just do it!

Had dinner here tonight with our children and supporters. High expectations but a huge disappointment. Comparatively paying too much for little quality. Absolutely NOT recommended.

Service was fine, the food was cheap, the schnitsel was small and had little to no taste, with the spare ribs you needed very strong teeth or a very sharp knife. A glass of wine was barely 1 sip. You pay a lot of money for a little food

From the outside you think okay, great tent. Particularly surprised by the good atmosphere inside. All very neat! Service was good (in English) and very fast. And food was pleasantly surprised! Very tasty and good food!! Definitely recommended!

Simply the best mussels on the island. But the fish is also great.

A great place on Texel to have an affordable bite for lunch. Good Frech fries with tasty curry sauce and typical Dutch meatballs in breadcrumbs. Nice local beer, too, ( though bottled) whether white beer or lager! The waitress was really pleasant despite our inability to speak Dutch.

HORRIBLE MUSSELS smelling of sewage and fecal! 🤢🤮 Above this, the mussels were full of sand and not properly cleaned, I have never seen this in my whole life and I am regular mussels eater. We returned the meal and didnt have to pay for it, but we were very anxious about getting intoxicated. Definitely dont go there for mussels.

Food lukewarm and convenience food for the children, salad prepared half-heartedly, sauce too oily. I didn't like it

Delicious food, extra fries and mayo are free. Reserved for 1 outside and upon arrival unexpectedly warm heaters were placed at the reserved table.

Veal liver partly raw...Mini frozen schnitzel with sauce in a bag...it's unbelievable what we were served for the high prices (liver €25, schnitzel €22.50)....every apprentice cook cooks three times better. Service was friendly. The tastiest thing was the peppermint candy at the end. Never again !!!

The terrace has screened seating areas. Ideal, nice and quiet, also pleasant for the dogs. The waiter immediately brought a bowl of water for the dogs, really great. Inside it looked more than neat. We had a pulled pork sandwich. Very tasty. The service was decent, but in English, which I, as a real Dutch person, have to get used to. But definitely recommended.

The appearance of the restaurant is not very inviting, but the inside looks a lot better. In the photo a shrimp cocktail that deserves more attention. Tip, serve it on a plate instead of presenting it as some kind of cheap sorbet. Tastes fine, but the bottom is filled with tomato slices and coarse lettuce. Mussels and sole were excellent and as a plus, fries can be ordered for free. Didn't have dessert, but in any case you can get a normal ice cream with whipped cream here. Coffee is well served. The service is mostly English-speaking but attentive and friendly.

Only drank one beer. It bothered us a bit that the owner, who is very friendly, stood outside the whole time, a bit nervously and therefore almost behind us. Unfortunately, that ruined the comfort. Vorig jaar ook al bezocht tijdens de vakantie en het is zo goed bevallen dat we het dit jaar weer bezocht hebben. Heerlijk met het gezin gegeten. Het eten was goed bereid! Erg leuk en vriendelijk personeel en een sfeervol restaurant. Volgend jaar weer!

Gezellig hier op het terras gezeten voor een lunch. Het eten was heerlijk. We waren best met een redelijk grote groep, maar we hadden het eten snel en allemaal tegelijk.

Von 11 Abende waren wir 10x hier essen. Alles geschmacklich sehr gut und ein super nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Vielen Dank für viele schöne und genußreiche Abende.

Simpele hamburger en uitsmijter maar goed van smaak en verzorgd.

Goede keuken. Heerlijke lamshaasjes gegeten. Mijn zoon had een uitstekende lende rumpsteak. Mijn dochter genoot van kibbeling. Ook glutenvrij en koemelkvrij mogelijk. Zeer gastvrije bediening. Gezellige inrichting en leuke muziek. Al met al een fijne avond uit!

De tip van de chef was zalm met Olivier-salade en het was tot in de perfectie bereid

Abbiamo mangiato dell'agnello squisito e abbiamo molto apprezzato che riso, insalata e patatine fossero "a volontà", perché eravamo veramente affamati dopo essere stati tutto il giorno in giro per Texel. Anche il Merlot al bicchiere era perfetto per accompagnare la carne.

Un buon piatto di cozze e un buon secondo ma atmosfera poco "calda", a noi Italiani piace parlare e conoscere oltre che mangiare bene

We are very happy to have eaten here tonight. There are several vegetarian choices, and also some dishes with chicken and pork (not anyone eats lamb). Very nice atmosphere and the owners were kind and gentle.

Das Essen ist gut und reichlich. Die Preise angemessen, das Personal freundlich und Kompetent. Die Weinauswahl ist übersichtlich und nicht mit gehoben Weinbars zu vergleichen

Had chicken made to perfection.. the ice cream and cherry dessert was amazing and the cheese board was tasty. Great service and a cosy romantic atmosphere. Lots of blankets for outside. Dogs very welcome. Loved it!!

Niet bijzonder lekker gegeten. Mosterdsoep was prima, Carpaccio smaakte alsof hij uit de vriezer kwam. Vlees was ook niet bijzonder. Prima voor het gezin vermoed ik maar met een vriendengroep een goed stukje vlees eten is hier niet echt voor weggelegd.

Misschien niet uitnodigend van buitenaf, maar wat een heerlijk eten! Absoluut een aanrader. De lamshaasjes waren voortreffelijk.

Sfeervol ingericht. Attente bediening. Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Malse kipsaté, Prima lamsstoof. Hete patatjes en dito koffie. Eten mocht wel iets minder zout. Mooie zaak en zeker een aanrader.
