A nice little restaurant for a quick bite after a walk on the beach. It has an extensive menu with reasonable prices. Friendly service and good food. Close to the lighthouse.

Closed...! Last year it was closed. This year, based on the information on the website, we tried again: closed again (and yes, we were there around lunchtime!). I heard from others who were there that they had also come a few times for nothing. My tip: don't waste miles or time going to this hut.

A very beautiful view to enjoy, and the prices reflect that. Service is distant but attentive. Smoking is not permitted on the terrace, but it is permitted right next to the tables in front of it, which isn't always clear to everyone.

We only had a latte macchiato but the atmosphere is great. If you sit outside you can see the lighthouse and the sea. There is no better place to enjoy food or drinks.

Great lunch, limited menu, but that's no problem. A delicious croquette, tomato soup, and Texel cheese sandwiches for €15.50. You can sit inside or outside, and the elevated location offers stunning views. You can choose from the dunes, the beach, or the lighthouse, or just everything at once!

A great spot for a drink and a snack on the large terrace. You can also dine there.

A great experience. We had lunch here today. A beautiful spot, with a view of the lighthouse and the expanse of the sea. The menu had something for everyone. We found the price to be reasonable, as we've already paid €4 more for a burger elsewhere. However, here they also included a fresh, generous salad as a side dish in addition to the delicious fries. Some of the waiters also speak German, which made things easier. The food was excellent and there wasn't a particularly long wait, even though the restaurant was very busy. The restrooms were tidy and clean. We highly recommend it.

And I give it 5* because I liked everything. The girls were friendly and served quickly. The prices were not overpriced, the fries were tasty and not "plastic"!

No food was offered. A place with a view – and not just in the literal sense. The restaurant up by the lighthouse on Texel is one of those places you won't forget once you've been there. Even the walk there is special: First, the wind whistling through your hair, then the dunes opening up – and suddenly you're standing on this hill, right next to the imposing lighthouse, overlooking the sea, the mudflats, and Texel in all its vastness. The atmosphere here is calm, relaxed, almost festive. Even when there are many guests, it remains relaxed. No hustle and bustle, no music drowning everything out – just the sound of the wind, the chatter of families, cyclists, and hikers, and the aroma of fresh coffee or fries with Dutch sauce. You can sit outside with a fantastic panoramic view, or inside in a modern, cozy dining room with lots of glass, which makes the view almost even more beautiful. Especially in changeable weather—when the sun breaks through the clouds or a brief shower arrives—it all feels very real and alive. Anyone who sits down there after a long walk isn't just hungry or thirsty—but rather feels like they've arrived. It's that typical Texel moment: up high, windy, expansive. And at the same time warm, delicious, and welcoming. Conclusion: Anyone who comes to Texel just for the nature is missing out. Those who stop up here experience Texel with all their senses. A place to stay, look around, breathe deeply—and ideally, come back again.

We arrived today at 4:08 PM, but the restaurant was closed from 4:00 PM. It was still quite busy at the lighthouse, but apparently they'd already made enough money. The lighthouse is open until 5:00 PM. So, as a restaurant, you should stay open until at least 6:00 PM. Why make a reservation? Most people eat after 5:00 PM or later.

Bad food, miserable service, atmosphere like a construction site.

Our experience was very mediocre. The food tasted good, but it was also very expensive! All of this in an incredibly unfriendly atmosphere. The service was incredibly poor. We were only served after repeatedly asking for it. The food was then slammed down on the table. We were dining with several people and wanted to split the bill. This was denied, saying it would take too long, even though the place was half empty. Conclusion: We will definitely not be coming back!

most people walk to the beach bar, I would immediately stop here next to the lighthouse. the furnishings are somewhat basic but functional. The food speaks for itself, good flavors. Add pickled vegetables. Good coffee and excellent service!

We were here last weekend. We enjoyed the sea view and our bickering. Very tasty, hot and very tasty sauce. We also enjoyed our latte macchiato. So we had a great time here, even in the winter. Staff are friendly and attentive. We really recommend this one. Thank you for your hospitality🍀

Wanted to have coffee and cake with my wife and children this afternoon. It took a long time before we got coffee even though it wasn't busy at all. Result: my wife cold coffee. Cake would still be delivered. The coffee was long gone, but after asking if we could still get the cake, it would be brought to us. After waiting a long time they came to ask if everything was OK, of course we said no because there is still no cake! And now you don't have to anymore because the coffee is long gone. The receipt was then thrown on the table stating that the cake had been taken off. I could say I was sorry, but that was all. All in all a very bad experience!

Bad staff who really forget everything. After asking for a drink several times, we finally got it after 50 minutes. We were with a large group and we ordered: 2 pots of mussels, 4 bags of fries, 5 glasses of wine and 4 glasses of soft drinks. This for no less than €180 euros… absurd Then they will also respond to my review. The owner notes that they do not sell mussels. Tell the cat that, there are several reviews with images showing that you serve mussels (see the added photos). It is also stated that this is a "strange review". Why? Because it comes out negatively for you? I just think you're a strange person. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. If I could I would have given 0 stars. 0 for service, 0 for food and 0 for the atmosphere. In addition, you assume that "this review is not intended for us". Well he is most certainly aimed at you.

After a long walk we wanted something to eat/drink. Doors open, lights on, staff present, according to the website also open as usual. When you come in, the staff says sorry, we don't serve, it's too quiet. Then close the door!

We were there today and wanted to sit in the lunge corner... we were refused... they are only for groups... there was no group there... everything was free... we didn't really spread ourselves... we would have liked to have something to drink and eat... otherwise everyone was supposedly there Outside seats occupied even though there were still plenty of tables free…☹️… then not… I can also spend my money elsewhere with friendly service… Leuke dag

Great beach bar, but the spreads on the bread board are not really spreadable.

Service was poor, it took a long time for the food to arrive. A black hair in the food, the sandwich we ordered was really inedible, and the next day my friend and I (both ate the same thing) were deathly ill. Probably food poisoning. Great tent! #not

Very nice location overlooking the lighthouse, dunes and beach. Staff very friendly. We ordered schnitzel, very tasty, especially with blanched stewed vegetables, highly recommended! You don't see that much.

We had a very nice meal here, the service is good and the staff is friendly. We ordered some drinks first; a fuzetea sparkling lemon and latte machiato. Then we took the menu with a cup of tomato soup, beef croquettes with brown bread, a fresh salad and dressing. We also had vegetarian croquettes with white bread, which was also accompanied by salad and dressing. We shared another 250g portion of kibbeling with remauulade sauce and a slice of lemon if you wanted to use it for the fish and it was delicious. Pleasantly busy when the weather is nice.

Lots of flies in the restaurant, bad food very hard and chewy steak, oily schnitzel, long waiting time, even the texels beer was bad

Very good food, staff is a bit disorganised but the restaurant is at a great location with a circular space so you have a great view no matter where you sit.

Not recommended. I got food poisoning here. My tip is not to eat here. The service was nice, really not bad. But we didn't even get an apology after telling the company what happened. So it's not worth it, unless you want to experience what food poisoning feels like.

Food is very basic and tloerated. Service is terrible, dishes not so clean, beer glass with lupstic residue. We waited over 50 minutes for starters, and the rest of the fried food arrived afterward and was cold. We also booked here because all other options were fully booked.

Food cold, incomplete, had to get cutlery myself, in short, a disappointment. Even though we pointed it out, they didn't do anything with it.

The food there was and is not worth a euro. They can't even make a normal citizen.

Waited a long time, bread for croquettes was hard and dried up. Butter cup melted and salad limp and dirty. Being under a heat source is likely to dehydrate. A disappointment.

We had a fried egg sandwich, the buns of which were soggy from the moisture of the sourbeet salad. The waiter told the owner about it, nothing to compensate a ruined dish. Not even apologies just ignorance. Will not go there anymore, very bad experience.

The burger toppings were delicious but we could not figure out why they deep fried their patties. Patty was thick and seems like less processed ND fresh than the supermarket (it is good thing but then why deep fry it). Other things was above the average. Due to location, it is understandable, it is place for tourists can be relaxed

Na een fijne strandwandeling kun je hier een lekker bakkie koffie of warme chocolademelk met slagroom drinken. Eventueel met iets lekkers erbij! Je hebt een mooi uitzicht op zee en de vuurtoren van Texel.

Top Lage und sehr schöne Aussicht auf den Strand und über die Nordsee Richtung England. Sonst ziemlich liebloser Laden und mäßiger Service. Pommes sahen total lecker aus, waren aber kalt. Bestellte Getränke wurden zum Teil nicht gebracht, standen dafür aber auf dem Ticket. Insgesamt eigentlich ne glatte 6 - 2 Sterne sind wohlwollend geschmeichelt.

Wir sind in jedem Texel Urlaub mindestens 1x da. Diesmal im November: Essen war lecker, nur die zusätzlichen Pommes Frites fehlten.

Vanavond onbeperkt spare ribs gegeten, heerlijk! Leuk om te merken dat je in deze tijd nog waar voor je geld krijgt. Uiterst vriendelijke bediening, ongedwongen sfeer. Aanrader!
