Then you have to give a fair score for all 3, but if everything is simply top-notch, you shouldn't trivialize it and just enjoy every point! The first time we came here, we came to taste lobster. We were so surprised! From the personal approach to the delicious flavors. Everything taken care of down to the last detail. The second time, we were looking for a similar experience. Searching and searching... but why look any further when you've already found it? This restaurant, but especially the owners, are truly unique. A great concept where they really think outside the box! A "surprise us," and then simply getting nothing on the table that isn't tasty. Everything wonderfully taken care of, and the chef who comes to consult and puts his own idea and twist on everything! From the bread beforehand, to the shrimp cocktail, the skewer, the lamb, and the ribeye. Everything was superb and tasted amazing, and all that for a fair price. We are fans! What an incredibly lovely and delicious restaurant! We have eaten here twice now. Once together as a couple during an exceptional date night in the early years of parenthood (👶🏼) and once with my parents to thank them; that really says it all. All the dishes we have eaten here were delicious and prepared with care and passion. The Spiedini is truly heavenly! So delicious, in fact, that we ordered it an extra time. We were warmly welcomed by the exceptionally sweet hostess. We were assisted by the staff in a friendly manner and with genuine interest, and provided with honest advice. The chef loves to talk about his craft and dishes with passion and love. Fantastic!

Not my first time here, and yet completely surprised again. We were welcomed right at the door by the charming and attentive hostess, Naghmeh. She has the ability to make everyone feel at home in no time. The weather allowed us to eat outside, and there you immediately imagine yourself on a Mediterranean garden terrace. In the open kitchen, culinary prince Jan Willem is hard at work applying his magic to the plates. As I leave after a few hours of delightful dining, I realize that they have once again managed to pleasantly surprise me. A rarity outside of the Michelin stars.

Delicious shrimp cocktail, amuse-bouche, a mouthwatering chateaubriand and ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream, followed by a grand mérière espresso with grappa. What an experience! During our cycling weekend, we arrived at the only restaurant still open in Nijkerk. The chef surprised us with the most delicious dishes at this late hour. We enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend this restaurant if you really want to indulge yourself.

What a special place. From the very first moment, it felt like we were sitting at a friend's table. Jan Willem is a fantastic chef who not only cooks wonderfully but also understands the art of making guests feel right at home. No fuss, no pretensions, just pure passion for food, wine, and hospitality. We started with oysters and then enjoyed a beautiful fresh fish, perfectly prepared. The quality of the products is exceptional. The fish is sourced directly from the fish market, and you can taste it. Every dish exudes craftsmanship and respect for the product. The French influences are clearly present, but without the aloofness you sometimes encounter at top establishments. You can tell from everything that Jan Willem once owned a two-star restaurant. The technique, flavor balance, and presentation are at a level normally only found in the better starred establishments. To accompany this, we drank a surprisingly beautiful Valencian white wine that paired perfectly with the fish. What stays with us most is the combination of top quality and genuine hospitality. This is a restaurant where you not only eat wonderfully, but where you also feel truly welcome. We highly recommend it and it is a place we will definitely return to.

I dined at Chez Naghmeh yesterday and was truly impressed. The owners are incredibly friendly and hospitable; you feel welcome as soon as you enter. The wines are carefully selected and pair perfectly with the dishes. And regarding the food itself: truly top-notch. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. You can tell from everything that the work here is done with passion. As far as I'm concerned, it is absolutely highly recommended if you are in the area and are in the mood for an evening of good food and drink in a pleasant atmosphere.

Too expensive, price too high for the quality, plate 40 euros, boujabaise 3 prawns, 4 mussels and fish 2 pieces, all overcooked, no, bad ratio, was like canned snails. Also empty and quiet on Friday evening.

Update 2026: After having eaten here with my wife two years ago, we went out for dinner with some friends last weekend. Once again, we had a phenomenal evening! Delicious wines, beautifully prepared food, and a perfect atmosphere. We enjoyed it immensely! A lovely hostess and a passionate chef with love for his products. We had Steak Tartare and Vitello Tonnato as starters. Delectable. For the main course, Lamb and Tournedos. For dessert, Crème Brûlée and Crêpes Suzette (where do you find that anymore?). Apparently, Google only allows you to leave a review once, which is actually a disgrace. End of update 2026 Dined with my wife at this lovely restaurant on Saturday evening. Had an incredibly pleasant evening! Delicious food, good wine, pleasant background music. The chef and hostess do their very best (and succeed) to ensure their guests have a wonderful evening. The dishes are quite unique compared to what I generally encounter at restaurants in the area. Classic French, very well executed. I kept thinking back to the confit duck and fried squid for days. I actually can't wait to do it all over again on the terrace this summer evening.

Top good advice delicious food and cozy atmosphere

A huge (un)recommendation in Nijkerk! It all began on a weekday evening in October when two friends invited me to have dinner with them in Nijkerk. Now, I know Nijkerk has a number of cozy bistros, but I wasn't expecting this. It started the moment I walked in through the beautiful antique doors, richly decorated with glass engravings. (I later learned that the owners previously owned an antique shop.) The two gentlemen I was with had been here before, and that was clearly evident from the warm welcome from the hostess. As an aperitif, we ordered a glass of cava, and when the chef heard that I enjoy a good glass of wine, he pointed me to the special wines off the menu. From this, I recognized a fellow enthusiast. We ultimately chose a bottle of Irancy. A touch of Bordeaux from Burgundy (with a wink). This was because all three of us had chosen Spiedini as our starter. You can't get tenderloin more tender than this. It practically melted in your mouth. I'd swapped the allioli that came with it for a piece of fried foie gras. Meanwhile, my restless eyes were drawn to more and more beautiful antique pieces decorating the restaurant. I found the old wooden milk coolers, once used for wine and champagne cooling, a nice detail. The bottle of Amarone, from a relatively unknown house, was also a pleasant choice, especially with the delicious venison loin I'd chosen. The fact that everything here is fresh and prepared on-site became clear when I asked for some more sauce for my main course. The entire contents of the saucepan were already on my plate, next to Bambi. Mid-October, right in season, delicious! When I went to wash my hands in the restroom, I was pleasantly surprised again. No boring white sinks, but a beautiful old piece of furniture with a marble sink complete with a beautifully decorated golden swan. It was like stepping back into the 1920s, into the home of a classy lady. We stayed at the table for a while after dinner to enjoy a glass of limoncello with the chef and his wife. Even that wasn't a commercial V.M. Limoncello, but homemade. As if an angel... finish the sentence. This was a more than successful evening. I've worked professionally in the hospitality industry for years, and these are the kind of restaurants (gastrobars) that make me incredibly happy. (I posted this same review on TripAdvisor.)

Best Vitello Tonato ever, without a doubt. Every piece of meat is extremely tender and incredibly tasty. The 4.9 stars are fully deserved and it exceeded expectations. The place is atmospheric and the service is good. But the food is really the reason to come here.

We were looking for a restaurant in Nijkerk and decided to dine here based on the good reviews. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome and were shown to a table in the charming garden. From the very first moment, we received excellent service and plenty of personal attention. We ordered a lovely bottle of wine and an oyster tasting to start. After a truly delicious appetizer, we had lobster and tournedos for our main course. The meat was wonderfully tender and, as the hostess told us, is ordered from South America. For dessert, we had a tasting of homemade macarons and tarte tartin, which was also delicious. If you're looking for a true restaurant experience, where you're pampered, this is highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

Recently ate here for our wedding anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised. The reviews were promising but until now we had not yet gotten around to dining at this establishment. The restaurant consists of 2 compartments. Upon entering you walk into the wine bar, where you can have a drink and there are also a few tables. The compartment at the back is intended for dining. There is a cozy, oriental atmosphere with Mediterranean influences. In some places it may be a bit dark but that should not spoil the fun. The menu also includes lobster, which is really fresh because it is taken straight from the aquarium. As a starter I had the Calamaris. These were well prepared with a delicious bite. The Dragon Mayonnaise was a valuable addition but for me personally not necessarily necessary given the good taste of the Calamaris. As a main course I had the Rack of Lamb. This was deliciously prepared. They do not ask in advance how well done you want the meat, so you have to trust the chef. And I have to say, I had nothing to complain about. For dessert I chose the Scroppino. There is also little to complain about here. Chez Nameh also has an outdoor terrace at the back. It is nicely decorated, but you are sitting between a number of walls. We were there on a Saturday evening but it was not completely full. From the outside the restaurant does not really stand out, there is probably room for improvement here. In terms of price Chez Nameh is between the Dolle Jonker and the Salentein. All in all an asset to Nijkerk, we will definitely come back here!

We were helped quickly and welcomed in a friendly manner. We even started a conversation. And the chef even came to indicate that the meat had to be at room temperature for 2 minutes, so that it would take a little longer. And the food was really delicious and looked beautiful. We came to eat with 4 people. The restaurant had just been renovated and had just reopened that day. What a lovely atmosphere and great food. Hard working people who do everything they can to make you feel at home. A lot of attention for the customer and what top chefs. Chateau briand as you can dream of it is reality here. Fantastic wine list! The prices here are a bit higher than at an average restaurant, but this is understandable given the quality, service, atmosphere and friendliness! This restaurant is an absolute must. Do you really want to treat someone to something special? Then consider this restaurant. You will not regret it.

Na een warme ontvangst een heerlijke avond gehad. Eten was uitstekend, verrassende keuzes en goede smaken. Wij waren met 11 personen waaronder wat "lastige" eters. Kosten noch moeite werden gespaard om ook deze gasten te voorzien van een "natje en droogje". De eigenaar/kok is een liefhebber en dat proef je. Wijnkaart is goed, iets meer keus mag. Prijs is zeer aanvaardbaar. Sfeer met name ook door de bediening erg leuk. Je voelt je welkom, gastvrijheid zoals het hoort.

If you want a truly good steak, this is the place to go. It's an exceptional 11/10. The chefs are knowledgeable.

The very good reviews were the reason to eat here. Unfortunately we had a different experience. The menu is strange (canned sardines as a starter, mainly fish as a starter and meat as a main course) and the way everything is served is extremely simple. Don't expect an attractive plate, everything here is served on small plates from grandma's china cupboard. Very little around it, just oily tasting fries. They don't ask how you want the meat, that's up to the chef. Even the desserts don't look very appealing. No reception with an amuse or a bowl of bread. No wine knowledge whatsoever ('it's a blend') in house. An eclectic design, some things are successful, others clearly come from the thrift store. A candle on the table that is clamped with a large piece of sooty aluminum foil... It is not surprising that it was not busy. We were not only deprived of a lot of money but also of an illusion.

Had dinner for my birthday in this beautiful restaurant. Although the menu was not extremely large, the choice was huge. Something for everyone. In addition, a well-considered wine list with extremely interesting wines for every budget. We shared every course: tonato vitello, fried mushrooms, rack of lamb, tenderloin, bottle of wine. Each prepared with great skill and care. The quality of the products surprised us. The service was very attentive and friendly. The focus here is on the guests and not on each other or, even worse, the mobile phone. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed. You don't have to talk loudly to shout over the music or other guests. Quiet music in the background. As inveterate vegetable devourers, we could only think of one point for improvement... a few more vegetables per person and perhaps an alternative to the fries with mayonnaise.

We had dinner at Gastrobar Chez Naghmeh for the first time last Sunday and what a wonderfully positive surprise it was! We were completely pampered and had a fantastic meal. From oysters and sardines to fried calamaris, escargots, super tender tenderloin, steak tartare and a delicious dessert platter including homemade macarons, crêpes suzette and crème brulée. Good wines and perfect service. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back!

Yesterday we enjoyed an extraordinary evening at Gastrobar Chez Naghmeh. We ordered the rack of lamb and the beef tenderloin, and both dishes were simply sublime. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection, wonderfully tender and full of flavor, while the tenderloin was served exactly the way we like it—juicy, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The service was truly excellent. From start to finish we felt pampered, thanks to the attentive and friendly staff. Bas and Jan Willem deserve a special mention for their hospitality and the unexpectedly very pleasant evening they gave us. Thanks to them we felt more than welcome and we returned home with a broad smile. The passion with which Jan-Willem and Naghmeh and their employees pamper their 'guests' is truly wonderful. After dessert we enjoyed a special coffee; no Irish or French Coffee but a Coffee chez Naghmeh - highly recommended! The menu varies from standard to exclusive, so there is something for everyone. But everything stands or falls with quality, and it was really excellent. The decor is really beautiful, the service is enthusiastic and service-oriented. You can simply taste the chef's passion. We are enthusiastic and will come back here more often. Recommended!

Unexpectedly out for dinner at an address unknown to us. Drizzly weather, between Sinterklaas and Christmas, we entered from the darkness. Despite the meager occupancy, we immediately felt at ease. Spacious and nice, modern design with a real open kitchen. Service friendly and professional. The dishes are all of a good standard. Opted for a nice red wine on recommendation, everything was delicious. We would love to come back there again.

We had a very nice experience at Chez Naghmeh restaurant. The food was good and the service was nice. People were regularly asked if everything was to their liking and the pace of serving food was just right! The atmosphere was good and the restaurant was pleasantly busy. The only area for improvement we actually had are the stainless steel tables. These really detract from the appearance of the restaurant. Our advice is to exchange it for other tables, or at least put a tablecloth over it. We would love to come back here again, but at a different table! :-)

Gisteravond voor het eerst gegeten bij "Chez Naghmeh". En wat hebben we allemaal heerlijk gegeten! Het vlees was perfect klaargemaakt en mooi gepresenteerd. De dessertkaart was ook naar mijn hart, want hier heb je crêpe Suzette op staan en die zie je niet vaak meer. De chefkok kwam zelf ook nog even vragen of wij tevreden waren en dat waren we zéker. Super vriendelijke bediening ook. En als ik dan voor mezelf mag spreken: de buitenkant van het restaurant zou meer uitnodigend mogen zijn, want dat vind ik niet bij het restaurant passen/doet het restaurant geen eer aan. En in het restaurant zouden een paar hele grote planten het wat gezelliger maken en mag de verlichting boven de tafel wat zachter. Maar wij komen hier hoe dan ook terug!!

Super friendly service too. And if I may speak for myself: the outside of the restaurant could be more inviting, because I don't think that suits the restaurant/doesn't do it justice. And in the restaurant, a few very large plants would make it a bit more cozy and the lighting above the table could be a bit softer. But we will come back here anyway!!

Well, then you just give 5 stars for food, service and atmosphere. Why? Because I think they really deserve this. In Nijkerk, of all places, and fortunately for us just around the corner, there I believe you will find a restaurant as a restaurant should be. When you enter, you really enter a beautiful environment. They have done their utmost to make it a nice/sleek and, above all, cozy tent where everyone is welcome. There is attention, and they take the time for you. If you want “simple” you can get it, if you want something “different” or fancy, they will arrange it too. No “stupid” skimping on portions that you often see at other restaurants these days. A sirloin steak is a sirloin steak with at least 250 grams of meat, or a tournedos that is at least 200 grams. Everything homemade, and yes you can taste it! Good wines for everyone. Service that keeps an eye on its guests and understands what hosting is. We were actually very positively surprised on all fronts, and we think this deserves to be said. I would love to go to this Gastrobar again soon. So yes, highly recommended, you won't regret it!
