We have been coming here for years whenever we are away for a business day. We are always welcome. The atmosphere, service, and food are really good. Keep up the good work!

The Old Pepper Mill looks like a fantastic place for a hearty and satisfying meal. The menu has an excellent selection of steaks, tender tournedos, famous spareribs, burgers, fresh fish and classic dishes. The loaded fries with pulled pork, melted cheese and truffle mayo sound especially tempting, while the salmon tartare and homemade desserts offer some great alternatives. I also appreciate the vegetarian choices, including a beetroot burger and Oriental wok. Overall, it seems like a welcoming family restaurant with plenty of flavorful options.

The food itself was fine. Portions vary considerably in size between the different dishes. 6 small prawns (€12) could hardly be called a starter. The salmon (€27.50) was nice and big and tasted great. Plenty of fries and mayo. Tiramisu (€12) was greasy and felt like a heavy weight in the stomach. In my opinion, the price-quality ratio is not balanced...

Mega delicious food, you can eat in or even get takeout, delicious spareribs, making a reservation is the best option if it gets busy.

We had a good meal at this place we’ve driven past so often. The decor is a bit dated. Extensive menu. The salmon tartare wasn't tartare but salmon salad. I thought I was getting raw salmon due to a mayo intolerance. That is incorrect. Otherwise, the staff was friendly.

We were here today as a family. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was wonderfully friendly and attentive. It's a shame we're going home tomorrow, otherwise we would have definitely come back again. A little tip: It's best to reserve in advance, as it's deservedly very busy!

The food and desserts are very tasty; I had ribeye which was rare instead of medium rare, but still very delicious.

We weren't entirely satisfied. The portions were very small. Rump steaks, around 150g, cost almost €30, and there was a bowl of fries for three people – ordering more was an extra charge. The vegetables on the plate were cold. We ordered the steaks medium, but they were more like medium-well to well-done. We could have had fresh meat, but I'm absolutely against food waste – a token of appreciation or a discount would have been appropriate. The dessert was tasty, but again, the price was too high for store-bought ice cream. Overall, the price level doesn't match the quality offered – I've eaten better in the Netherlands for less or the same price.

The food was good and there was nothing to complain about. What I find unacceptable is that dogs are running loose in the restaurant, as tall as the tables. There is absolutely no consideration for other guests in this regard. Furthermore, it is certainly not clean or hygienic! Dogs do not belong in a restaurant, and certainly not running loose between the tables where the food is placed!

Last Saturday, we went back here after a few years. Now 5 stars instead of 3! Everything has been improved and taken to a higher level. Super friendly staff, very attentive and helpful with small adjustments to the dishes. Excellent draft beer selection and more than enough choice on the menu. Starters tasted delicious, main courses even better, and delicious coffee/desserts. No wonder you have to make reservations here, because it was completely full. And yes, free parking in a well-lit parking lot. And if I had to mention one thing, we found the prices of the dishes just about 4-5 euros too expensive.

We had a delicious meal! We ordered a chicken skewer with satay sauce and a farmer's schnitzel. This was more than enough! For dessert, the lava cake with ice cream and whipped cream; that was top-notch too! We had also eaten here over 20 years ago. We happened to drive past and were seated immediately. Great service and a nice atmosphere!

To sample the food and soak up the atmosphere, we ended up here. There were already quite a few people there when we arrived at 5:30. The atmosphere was pleasant, and after a delicious rosé from the Languedoc, we started with baguette and butter. Our main course was the tenderloin skewer and the satay skewer. It was so well-prepared that we couldn't fit in dessert. But we did enjoy a delicious cappuccino.

The food was delicious. The restaurant is located on a main road and has ample parking. Reservations are recommended if you want to be sure of a spot.

We eat here often, and every time it feels like coming home. We were here on Valentine's Day, and due to circumstances, we decided to go last minute and called to see if they had room. Luckily, they had it for us. There's a calm, pleasant atmosphere despite the crowds, the service is fast, and the food and drinks arrived quickly. They also keep a close eye on you to make sure everything is to your liking! All in all, another wonderful experience, and we'll be back soon.

Wow, we had a wonderful meal at this very cozy restaurant. It was packed on a Thursday evening, but the service was still very fast. All the dishes were delicious. Highly recommended!

Nice restaurant. Very friendly service. The food is generally excellent. Unfortunately, one of the tournedos we ordered wasn't great: it was an odd shape, overcooked, and therefore not tender. Other dishes were more enjoyable. The presentation of the dishes/plates could be improved in a simple way. This applies to starters, main courses, and desserts. Tip: A drinks menu on the table instead of just a wine list would be nice. This applies to both soft drinks and beers, and possibly mixes/cocktails.

This location once housed the restaurant De Pepermolen, but for many years now it's been called The Old Pepper Mill. It's busy, but the atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. We quickly have drinks and peruse the menu. The service is quick, friendly, and attentive. For our starters, we choose bread with spread and nachos. They're delicious. Then come the main courses: the mixed grill and fish & chips. The success varies. The spare ribs of the mixed grill stand out: they're way too dry. The chicken also tends to be that way, but still gets away with it. The pork tenderloin and beef tenderloin are tasty, with the tenderloin leaning more towards a (good) round steak, but that's no problem because it's otherwise perfectly fine. At the fish & chips, our British dining companion is particularly surprised, to say the least. Where's the batter? That's a real shame. With classic Fish & Chips, the fish should have a thick layer of crispy beer batter, which isn't there. The fish tastes fine otherwise; no complaints there. Our British companion missed vinegar with his dish, but the waitress politely brought it over. The desserts are delicious. The Dame Blanche has a good chocolate sauce! I'm missing a slightly tart flavor with the cheesecake, but it's an Oreo cheesecake, so the sweetness is understandable. All in all, satisfying, but not a wow. Still, we had a very pleasant evening in a pleasant atmosphere!

It looked very old and had a strange atmosphere until I walked in! Everything was neat, the staff, the furniture, and the kitchen looked clean too! We received excellent service from the team at The Old Pepper Mill!

Last Saturday, we ate there with a group of 22 people. It was delicious, beautifully presented, and the portions were huge. Everything was served simultaneously, even for 22 people. Kudos to the chefs and the super friendly hosts. And all for a reasonable price. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

I had the garlic steak, but unfortunately, it wasn't very garlicky. And the meat was overcooked for medium, making it tough. When the waitress walked by with our appetizer and I went to the bathroom, I noticed the chef was already searing my piece of meat. Why? Then I understand the toughness. (We were the first guests, so I had no choice but to assume it was meant for me.)

We had a delicious meal here. My husband had the mixed grill, and I had a garlic steak. They were large pieces of meat and deliciously tender. (In the photo, there's a chicken breast and corn on the cob hidden under the sparerib.) Afterwards, we had Dame Blanche and a caramel feast. Also very tasty, with lovely soft-serve ice cream. Very friendly staff, and the decorations were festive for Christmas.

A friend and I spontaneously had a lovely dinner here on Saturday night. The Christmas decorations were beautiful and it was pleasantly busy. We had a delicious meal: the surf and turf and the fish and chips. Both were delicious. The service was very attentive, friendly, and very experienced. The desserts were also highly recommended. We had a wonderful evening!

Great restaurant! The atmosphere is good and it's always quite busy (so reservations are recommended). The staff is friendly and makes sure you have everything you need. Even if you sit at the far end of the restaurant, there's always someone there to serve you if needed. Some dishes can be a bit pricey per plate, but the location makes up for it.

The service was reasonable; we weren't asked if we wanted anything to drink. My friend had the mushrooms as a starter: flavorless and lots of cheese. I had the chicken legs: tasty but very greasy. We both had the spare ribs: tasty but far too greasy. The coffee was good. But this is definitely not recommended.

So much bigger inside than it looks from outside, and even though it was a busy evening, you didn’t feel overcrowded. Staff super friendly, attentive and that added to the lovely atmosphere.

Sat outside on the terrace, sheltered from the wind and bright sunshine, was wonderful. The service was excellent! A friendly chat and fast service. The food was good. The small portion of spare ribs was more than enough, along with the fries and salad. The meat fell off the bone; no need to gnaw on it... (a big plus for me 😅) Everything comes from the open kitchen with large BBQs. If you're on a bike or motorcycle, it's a good stop.

I would have liked to see a few more grilled vegetables with the meat; that would make the plate a bit fuller. But all in all, great staff and delicious food!

The service was terrible. We had booked a table for five, but we had to choose and arrange it ourselves. A few moments later, we had to move everything ourselves because we were blocking an exit. We had to ask for cutlery. I had to ask for a salt and pepper shaker, and the waitress, slightly irritated, remarked to me whether everything was to my liking. After our meal, she asked if everything was alright, and we commented that the garnish was rather dry and could have used some dressing, after which she reiterated that we should have asked for it. There was no dressing, vinegar, or anything like that on the table. In short, THIS waitress was definitely not customer-friendly. We won't be going back.

So kind people working in this place, I called them for reservation just thirty minutes b4 kitchen close and they accepted us , we were a group of 4 persons, we ordered the ribeye steak and the old pepper Burger all was great cooked perfectly. Highly recommended.

I wrote here nine years ago that it was our favorite restaurant at the time. Funny, because it still is. The spareribs here are, in our opinion, the tastiest in the Netherlands and abroad. It is spacious, there is something for the children to do, plenty of parking space, and a good choice of drinks with your meal (changing specialty beers). We still like to come here and hope to continue doing so for a long time.

Delicious food in a cozy environment

I didn't think it was bad, but it wasn't great either, which is a pity that there were only fries, no baked potatoes, I didn't have a bowl of water to dip my hands for the spare ribs, 1 sauce wasn't much, and I'm not really satisfied.
