Arrived tonight from Ireland, not for the first time over the past few years but the first time on my own. Welcome and atmosphere was still fantastic, a great welcome from a family run pub that reflects the “cead mile failte “of home…..a must stop for natives and visitors alike. Ed

George and his mom are very welcoming! Visited from the states, and they were so friendly with us the whole time. So obviously, I went back more than once.

A bit of an unexpected place to find such a large selection of specialty beers, but it was definitely worth the visit.

Been here with a number of men. We were inside for about 20 minutes. I don't know what was going on. No one came to take an order, no one greeted us, or even acknowledged that we were inside. Apart...

We were able to watch PSV - Feyenoord here at our leisure while enjoying one of the 200+ beers. Top place with friendly service and delicious food.

Super rude staff! We came with a large group of friends, it was smelling bad and 2 people did not order one beer (all the others did order), we were talking and he said that if they did not order a beer, they had to leave. Horrible, NEVER coming back here….

Relatively small pub, somewhat hidden between the shops in the cozy Achter het Vleeshuis. Small, but more than nice. Behind the swinging doors is the largest collection of stouts and porters we have ever seen anywhere. Welcoming and friendly staff who talk with a lot of knowledge and love about their ridiculously large collection of beers. Way too much choice, so after a few tasty stouts in the pub, I also brought a bag with goodies for home. In between we also ate their excellent burgers. After all, you need a bottom for all those delicious beers 😉

A very cool sports bar in the centre of town. They had the English Premier League, Eredivisie and Bundesliga playing live. Great selection of local craft beers as well as lagers on tap. Staff were very hospitable!!

We went here on a quiet Wednesday evening, March 20th to be precise. We happened to pass by and wanted to have a drink. Once inside we ordered 5 Tripel Karmeliet and because it has the look of an Irish pub we did this in English. One of us then said: "It makes sense that we order in English, he looks like someone who speaks English." In this case it concerned a member of your staff with a beard and bun who stood behind the bar. However, this was not accepted by the staff member in question, who also stated this in a very unfriendly manner. An attempt to apologize, including the message that we had absolutely no intention to offend him, was to no avail. We then indicated that the drinks no longer needed to be made and that we would leave. The response was: "You will not get anything anymore and it is better that you leave." On the way out we were called various swear words that we believe do not belong in society and certainly not in the catering industry. In our opinion, this is not a way of hospitality and we will never come back here. We do not recommend anyone to go to this pub, it is very unfriendly and the hospitality is lacking.

We had various types of unique beers (such as peanut butter beer and chocolate beer) here and an amazing selection of bar food. Thank you so much for the advice on how to choose our beers and even putting some in the fridge especially for us. It was an amazing evening and we're looking forward to return on our next visit to Maastricht!

Cozy hidden gem in Maastricht. Very knowledgable and friendly staff who take time to listen to your taste and beer needs. They have a wide selection of beers, most of which were completely unknown to us. 10/10 recommend for a drink. They have a rotating selection of beers on tap well so are bound to get a nice surprise every now and again

Awesome sports bar! I wanted to watch The Masters golf tournament and found this place. Staff is amazing. Beer selection is best in Maastricht. They had a great Spotify playlist and best of all they introduced me to Danny Vera! Will definitely return next time I’m in town.

This place is the BEST Irish pub in town! They have an incredible selection of goooood beers and have great music. I highly recommend spending some time here!!

Great pub, great food and great guiness. Love the music and the people. Its a great place to meet with friends to have a meal or a snack and definitly a drink. Always a good conversation or watch a game. Will be back soon!

Don't go here! (Zero stars) I went here for a drink with friends, I wish I had never done it... at the end of the evening I was beaten up and held in a grip without any respect. All this because people really wanted to see their money. 'George's PUB' uses a fairly rough method to collect the money. If you are considering visiting here, I strongly advise against it. Feel free to go one street further, the people here are a lot more hospitable and friendly. 'George's PUB' is an ordinary club of fighting guys who don't care about the guest. This so-called 'Irish pub' has no place in beautiful Maastricht!

Now respond angrily to this café because of a friend who was ejected 'without paying'. They grabbed him out of the tent with unreal force and chaos was caused moments later by the owners, employees and friends of the café. I expect a personal apology to my good comrade and that the staff react less aggressively towards guests. Gained clear experience with, firstly, the unprofessional staff and secondly, the way of dealing with 'the cause'. Previously had very nice experiences in this pub.
