Delicious high tea, beautiful restaurant and very good service

Had a delicious high tea with bubbles or non-alcoholic. Atmosphere was good, pleasant service, knowledgeable and friendly. And the snacks were delicious and we were able to take away everything that was left. Well that's great. Recommended.

Na lange tijd weer gegeten bij Gewoon Lekker. Weer terug naar het oude concept een menukaart vol gerechtjes waar je uit kunt kiezen. Wat wij hebben gegeten was allemaal smaakvol en zag er goed verzorgt uit. Zeker weer voor herhaling vatbaar. De steaktartaar mag alleen naar mijn smaak wat smeuïger zijn.

The restaurant is very bad and the treatment is bad

Lekker geluncht in een gezellige sfeer.dik boerenbruinbrood met 2 uitstekende rundvleeskroketten. Mijn vrouw een grote pistolet met tonijn, zag er ook fantastisch uit en smaakte prima. Vriendelijk personeel zorgt voor een vlotte bediening.

The food is excellent, nothing to complain about here. What is a pity is that we had more than an hour to have lunch because of a medical appointment afterwards. In general, this should be feasible. We looked at the menu online here in advance so that we knew what we were going to order and were therefore able to save time. Upon arrival, one lady behind the bar was not very enthusiastic. When we received the map it turned out that it did not match what was stated on the website. The pancakes for our 2 year old son were missing from the menu on site. And the simply delicious Burgundy, selected 12 hours in advance, was nowhere to be found. Just like another chosen sandwich. When we asked the barmaid, could someone come? The response was somewhat curt that her colleague was coming soon. When this colleague finally arrived, it turned out that the menu online and on site did not match. (Had we known this in advance, we would not have eaten here because there was only minimal choice for our son). Baking a pancake was really not possible either. Ultimately being able to make a different choice. Which I also enjoyed. But all in all, it is quite a shame that a smaller menu is offered on site than on the website and then there is also 1 person walking around as if she would rather not have been there that day. Especially if, like us, you unfortunately have less time on such a day.

Very friendly staff and very tasty food

Als eerste konden we in een bepaalde ruimte niet zitten omdat dat was voor mensen die niet veel geluid kunnen verdragen. Op zich snap ik dat heel goed alleen er zaten wat grote groepen en die waren zeker niet stil. Maar goed geen probleem we zoeken een ander plekje. Vervolgens de volgende teleurstelling. De kaart van internet is uitgebreid en we kwamen voor de flamkuchen. Maar toen we de menukaart kregen stond daar veel niet op wat wel op internet staat. Tja dus ook geen flamkuchen. Rede geen genoeg personeel. Oke maar pas dan je kaart op internet aan!!!

Prijs/ kwaliteit verhouding is behoorlijk scheef Bij sommige tapas moet je zelfs tot 12,50 extra bijbetalen Onbeperkt tapas voor 39,50 pp exclusief de desserts. Geen aanbeveling voor toekomstige bezoekers. De matige beoordeling werd voor kennisgeving aangenomen Nooit meer

Uitgenodigd voor high tea door vriendengroep. High tea om 13:00 uur afgesproken. Het duurde een half uur toen stond voor het eerst iemand aan tafel met soep. Nog een half uur later eindelijk de high tea stellages. We zaten aan de tafel meteen bij binnenkomst en daar kwam de bediening helaas niet. Het kostte heel wat moeite om nieuw theewater te krijgen of om iets anders te drinken te bestellen. De kwaliteit van de high tea hapjes was niet echt goed. Droge scones met een héél klein beetje room en jam, mini donuts uit de fabriek (of de supermarkt) droge puddingbroodjes en tonijnsalade waar ze uitgeschoten waren met de pepermolen.

Today we really enjoyed a high tea at Simply Lekker. Both quantity and quality were great: starter soup, 2 tasty sandwiches, crostinis with various spreads, sweet rolls and croissants, small muffins and other tasty sweets. What a treat! The service is very neat, attentive and helpful.

I went there to try their cheesecakes (takeaway). They got multiple cheesecake flavors and they are incredible. Like what a cheesecake should taste like. In the picture are blueberry cheesecake, red velvet cake, new york cheesecake, and macadamia cheesecake.

Very disappointed after having eaten at Proeverij Nooit Lekker. At the table you are subtly 'forced' to order the tasting. The placemats on the table are the menus that only mention the tasting. The staff asked us if we were familiar with the concept and provided an explanation, without indicating that à la carte was also possible. It was not stated that salad or fries could be ordered free of charge during each course. It was placed somewhere inconspicuously at the bottom left of the placemat. The speed at which the next course could be ordered was excellent. The snacks were not warm: hot but lukewarm and bland in taste. I got the impression that the risotto bitterballen, for example, had been under a heat lamp for quite some time. The cod was soggy, the salmon bonbon was filled with an indefinable substance and I had to look for the dill/yogurt (consisted of a few drops), the brioche chicken was really not tasty (was this chicken???). The dishes are richly served with truffle mayonnaise. The only dish that was tasty was the goat cheese salad. Desserts are not included in the tasting. €9 was charged for dessert. The chocolate cake was delicious. On the other hand, the crème brullee was an indefinable product. Turned out to be an apple with a sauce or similar sprinkled with sugar that may have been caramelized at some point. So no creme brullee. Positive: the friendly staff. Conclusion: We will NEVER eat here again.

Grabbed a late lunch with my girlfriend. It was very pleasant and the food was good. Inside it looks homely. The prices are also excellent.

Went to lunch this afternoon for a pleasant twelve hours, only this one was complete with big hair and a cloud of dust. Service was called in and I was given a new twelve hours, but my appetite had already disappeared. Furthermore, there was nothing to compensate, not even a cup of coffee, poor service. No longer just tasty for me

Delicious dishes, although we thought the time between ordering and receiving the food was a little too long. After noticing something about this, it was resolved well by letting us order the following upon arrival of the dishes, so we were on time for our next appointment

What a big, beautiful hotel/restaurant that you wouldn't expect when you drive past by car! Inside the restaurant, the Riviera maison interior is upholstered. Delicious a la carte meal. Large portions and nice and hot! Service is friendly and attentive! We will definitely come back again!

Great place to eat for a drive around. The large hamburger was excellent combined with the full fries. Service excellent, well maintained. The satay menu also looks excellent. Actually, the affordable price of 17 euros is on the low side for this meal. Excellent! Recommended!

Nice restaurant, plenty of choices. Very large portions for a tapas idea. I was quite shocked by the price with the all you can eat and yet also the additional payment for dishes. The crispy Sushi rice is really the ultimate!

Was here for a 50th wedding anniversary. Everything was excellent, from the service to the food, but also the atmosphere in the hotel. Fine.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary here with a large group of guests. The food was excellent, something for everyone! With coffee, the bridal couple got the pastry last, which was a shame. The atmosphere was great, good explanation of the menu, wonderful music by an accordionist and friendly service. All in all a great address!!

We zaten fijn met gezin in een nisje ‘al uitkijkend op een groot raampartij’ waar we in eerste instantie niet mochten gaan zitten.. Op een gegeven moment komen allerlei mensen .... Maakte gebruik van een lopend buffet en zaten alle aan de raamzijde. Vele spraken vreemde talen en kinderen speelde en was goed te horen. Wat bleek een grote groep asiel mensen - eten elke dag in dit restaurant- verblijven in het hotel ernaast, kregen wij te horen. Bediening was vriendelijk en mogen gasten best in de gaten houden -wanneer ze weer willen bestellen- zonder dat gasten meerdere keren rondkeken 'waar is de bediening'... De verbeelding om samen naar restaurant met sfeer om lekker te eten in combinatie met grote groep buitenlandse mensen en kinderen die blèren in 1 ruimte. Waar klanten vele € voor eten en geen uitzicht bij het *raam konden ontvangen "was gereserveerd." Zijn slechte horecazaken, zeg -absurde surrealistische omgeving - NOOIT meer ...!

Very nice decoration. Everything is from the Rivera mason brand. Very atmospheric, and nice that you can sit a bit shielded in the alcove.

The high tea was something different. Tasty, but next time I'll just have lunch again

Normally I always enjoy eating here, different types of tapas with reasonably large portions and delicious cheesecake. We wanted to organize a high tea for Mother's Day and purchased vouchers through social deals. When making the reservation, we indicated that we had a hazelnut and almond allergy (and were also clearly asked whether there were any allergies), but a little later we were called to say that it was not possible to take allergies into account. I don't think that's very hospitable! I don't think I'll come back here again...

Prima gegeten, gezellig hoekje met zijn 4en en leuke meiden in de bediening. Wat wel een beetje een misser is op de menukaart is de penne met spianata romana. Daar lag welgeteld 1 plakje van op, teleurstellend dus. Ook vervelend dat er een flinke lading paddestoelen door het gerecht zat, wat dan weer niet op de kaart stond.

The food is really good but other than that… What. A. Ball tent. It all takes a very long time. Before the next dish comes, you have been looking at your menu for 30-40 minutes. When it's finished, you can stack the plates yourself and indicate them. According to the staff, this is because it was very busy, they were only very busy behind the bar at least 5 times in the 3 hours we were there. When booking, you will be asked for a date of birth. The group then calls twice more to say that it is someone's birthday and they want to arrange a surprise for dessert. During dessert nothing came at all. Report this but they knew nothing about it. When paying, someone came to the clear conclusion that they were working on the surprise in the kitchen. Please have a seat... We just thanked you for the honor.

Very tasty food. Generous portions. Cozy restaurant. Top service!

I found the food disappointing again for the 3x. In fact, I have read before in the reviews that it seems as if the food has been reheated. The dishes often arrived lukewarm/cold. Well named and the next dish was warm. Dessert Cheesecake with scoop of ice cream and whipped cream does not compare in price if you buy a cheesecake separately. In Hoorn the ambiance, proportions and passion in terms of layout is much better, the same concept. Shame. Don't try a 4ex.

First had a drink and then had a delicious meal! It was busy and we had not booked in advance so had to make do with the table that was available. Logically, of course, but that's why we had a slightly smaller spot. Otherwise great!

Excellent food that you pay for, but you cannot sit where you want, because it is reserved for the asylum seekers staying in the hotel. Shame!!

Just returned from a nice get-together, it is nice that there are high chairs available. The service was full of good intentions and we lacked nothing. What came out of the kitchen was well prepared.

Food was great, Decor and atmosphere was great. The staff where very friendly and helpful, but they where a little too fast when taking orders, that we couldn't order drinks at the same time cause as soon as they hear what you wanted to eat, they where gone already before you could continue. They where also not very attentive to us and seeing if we needed anything else drink wise in-between meals. But still very friendly and helpful

We did the tasting here for 49.50. Price quality was worthless. Quite pricey for boring food. I tried almost everything, but there were no grains of pepper or anything to be found that were supposed to be spicy. For the rest, little or no herbs Service was reasonable. For this money or even less you can eat much better elsewhere

Nice atmosphere and good lunch. Little time for the all-in concept lunch, but a regular lunch was also delicious. We will go there again next time and try the unlimited lunch!

Food was not always cooked properly. The pasta was hard and seemed to have been heated up just as quickly in the pan. Sushi was cold and dry. When I wanted to take my pastry home, I had to walk there myself to get the container. It was too much to ask for the waiter to wrap my cake. I also felt rushed between dishes. As if we had to leave as quickly as possible. Price-quality ratio was really not in balance. Way too expensive for mediocre food. A real disappointment.

Had a delicious meal in this branch of "Gewoon Lekker" with a varied menu of meat, fish and vegetarian. The staff was very friendly and there is a quiet atmosphere. The restaurant itself has a modern look and is spacious!

Cozy and affordable, at least if you don't drink too much. This is not included in the concept. The food is good, not excellent, but very good. The ladies in the service were super neat and correct.

Nice place with awosome staff and nice, cozy surroundings. The food, however was not very much to our taste. What puts me off personally is the 0.2L soda bottles..

The food and service are excellent!

For a food bar, I thought it was a nice place with friendly and helpful staff. The food is good, the decoration is also fine, and there is plenty of parking. The toilets are clean.

Delicious lunch, large portions. Reasonably priced. Service okay. As soon as it gets busier, empty glasses and bottles are left for too long and the tables become full and cluttered.

I give 1 star for the atmosphere. It was cold and draughty. We come here regularly. But now it was really cold. The food is top notch and so is the service. This was on January 8, 2024

We had Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve. The food is okay, although truffle is put on almost everything. What really puts a dampener on the experience is the crowds and the shortage of waitresses. The restaurant was packed and that was supported by two waitresses. After speaking to one of the waitresses it turned out that she had been standing for a few hours, didn't get a break (unless she smoked, then she got 5 minutes), and had to start early again the next morning on Christmas Day. The food is fine, but they could treat their hard-working employees a little better.

Wij werden netjes rond 10.00 opgebeld met een waarschuwing voor het gladde parkeerterrein. Daarnaast heerlijk genoten van een lunch met man, kinderen aanhang en kleinkind.

Heerlijk high tea. Is het geld waard! Bediening heel vriendelijk.

Een mooi restaurant voor alle gelegenheden. Leuk en gezellig ingericht, goede bediening en mooi gelegen aan de grote weg van Alkmaar richting Schagen

Heel veel lekkere dingen op de kaart dus moeilijk kiezen wat je wilt eten. Ze hebben ook een soort all-you can eat concept met hele verrassende kleine gerechtjes. Dat moeten we nog een keer testen.

Kom al een aantal jaar met plezier bij Gewoon Lekker, eerst in Hoorn en nu in Heerhugowaard. Is ons vaste all you can eat restaurant. Heerlijk eten, vlotte bediening voor een schappelijke prijs!!

Bij binnenkomst voel je je direkt niet welkom. Onaardige wat oudere vrouw in de bediening, we werden nogal genegeerd, koffie was redelijk maar niet bijzonder.

Een leuk concept! Eindelijk een tapas restaurant waar je elke keer gerechtjes besteld, toetjes apart. Heerlijk gegeten, leuke sfeer en leent zich geweldig uit voor de grotere groepen

Ik was de eerste keer hier maar ik had mij er meer van voorgesteld.

Eten is heerlijk en de locatie is erg goed bereikbaar. Parkeren gratis voor de deur en de cheesecake hier is echt een aanrader! Het is vaak erg druk waardoor je wel ver van te voren moet reserveren als je hier op zaterdag terecht wil. Soms wacht je ook wat langer op de bediening maar het eten maakt dat weer helemaal goed!

Mooi restaurant, in een aparte stijl

Gezellig, voor het laatst 25 jaar geleden geweest. Geheel een transformatie onder gaan. Veel jong personeel (opleiding) buiten gegeten op terras, lang wachten op bediening.

Went here for an anniversary, they have a lot of small dishes to choose from. You can order one every round, drinks can be ordered in between. The food was amazing, tasted and looked nice. A lot of options for people with allergies. The restaurant itself looks nice and the location is easily accessible.

Lekker eten en vlotte bediening

High tea gedaan bij Gewoon Lekker met ongeveer 10 dames. Balans tussen zoet en hartig was prima, klein soepje vooraf was ook lekker. Leuke sfeervolle ambiance met Rivièra Maison inrichting, heel gezellig. Bediening is vriendelijk, vergaten alleen de theepotten bij te vullen. Dat is het enige wat er op aan te merken viel. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is prima. Aanrader!

Leuke zaak en het eten is heerlijk

Geweldig gezellig én lekker gegeten gisteravond bij Gewoon Lekker Heerhugowaard! Mooie opgemaakte borden! Complimenten voor de bediening én de keuken! Doet zijn/haar naam eer aan! Vriendelijke bediening en zeer attent met wat vuurwerk uit hun zelf bedacht bij het dessert. Het leuke concept van elke keer wat bestellen is echt een aanrader!
