I have really enjoyed visiting De Wonders for quite some time now. I always thoroughly enjoyed the coffee and the delicious snacks, but unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience last Sunday. Together with a friend, we ordered two cappuccinos and two bottles of mineral water. Subsequently, the waiter came to our table every ten minutes to ask if we wanted to order anything else. When we politely indicated that we had had enough for now, his facial expression visibly changed, and we felt very uncomfortable. This constant pressure and unfriendly reaction absolutely do not match the atmosphere and quality I have come to expect from De Wonders. It is such a shame for a place I used to visit with so much pleasure.

Dry wrap for 13.50, Caesar salad with a mountain of bacon, greasy and tasteless, also way too expensive for what you get. Flat white was weak coffee with a watery layer of foam. They bring the wrong orders to the table; the boy bringing it isn't allowed to take orders. His colleague does it, and you have to wait quite a long time for that, so there is no communication. Just not good; you won't see me back here again.

Not a top-notch place, but everything was okay. It's a shame you have to climb a steep flight of stairs to use the toilet. Not really suitable for the elderly and disabled.

Very friendly and cheerful waiter, our evening was perfectly set up for us!

The food was fine but the portions were extremely small. You pay more than 20 euros for sole or steak and get no side dish, no fries or salad; ridiculous. Then, no alcohol is served because I don't have ID? I've never experienced anything like this before. I'm covered in tattoos and already have children; this is very absurd. It's not worth the money here if you just want to go home with a full stomach. They also serve a pathetic amount of fries for €5.

The walking dinner was truly amazing. 22 people in an enclosed room on the upper floor. And such lovely staff. My guests complimented me on how delicious the food was. I would absolutely do this again.

I celebrated my birthday at Wonders and it was really great. Good service, delicious food, and a nice atmosphere. We got a separate room upstairs where we could do our own thing. I organized a pub quiz and it was perfect, nice and relaxed and fun. It's wonderful to celebrate your birthday in a restaurant; everything is taken care of for you: food, drinks, and service. Highly recommended!

This is the umpteenth time I've come here and things just don't go well. We walk in and ask for a bite to eat, and we are allowed to take a seat. Next, she asks for drinks, we get them, and then no one looks back at us. After waiting for over 20 minutes and trying to make eye contact with the staff, we just left. When we indicated that we wanted food (perhaps not in a very sweet tone anymore, because well... we were hungry), she indicated that she didn't know and walked away arrogantly. The bartender who let us in and showed us to the table did know, and besides, it seems perfectly normal to me, with new guests, to be asked if they want a snack or something to eat. Next time, I'll just go straight to Ijzer.

I have been here several times for lunch with friends and colleagues. It is a great location (both indoors and outdoors), the dishes are delicious, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy a nice lunch.

We ate yesterday afternoon; I had sweet potato fries with ravioli, and my wife had chicken meatballs with a Greek salad. Now, in the morning, I feel nauseous and am vomiting.

Had a delicious meal, the service was super friendly, but at the end the shift had changed and there was only a lady and a bartender left in the place. As a result, we had to wait a very long time to pay. Not a big deal though, because the chairs were very comfortable and the ambiance is great too. The food was perfect and presented in a really nice way. The toilets are upstairs and are reasonably clean. Highly recommended for a lovely night out.

Nice to have a quick lunch while shopping. Friendly staff. Quick service. Had a meal there again recently (May 2026), before that (October 2025). The atmosphere is good, and the staff is friendly. We ate upstairs with a group this time, so we couldn't check if any things downstairs have been updated in the meantime. The food was tasty, though the steak came with herb butter, which was much too hard. Additionally, the standard fries are too salty and get cold quickly. They are also served in frying baskets, which doesn't help keep them warm. But all in all, we had a nice meal, and it is a great location for a group. October 2025: The food was good, but the main course was a bit small in terms of quantity relative to the price; there wasn't a huge selection of meat either. A renovation is definitely needed; the kids' corner is a bit sticky, and you can see the foam from the sofa there immediately. Fortunately, the food was good, and I didn't get sick this time.

Normally never our first choice... these kinds of larger restaurants. This evening we "had to" because of a visit to Cool, and unfortunately, there's not much choice at HHW (Rembrandt is also more than excellent). So, we gave Wonders a try. The price-quality ratio is more than good. You can eat for 100 euros for three people with a 3-course menu. What can you expect for that price? Decent. Nothing really special. Understandable. Upstairs is more pleasant and quiet than downstairs. The smoked carpaccio was a bit too generous with the "sauce"... just let the meat do its thing here... because that was excellent. The selection of Green Egg dishes at reasonable prices is special. The steak was excellent, not exceptional. The fries were really not good... too dry. And the salmon burger was special... you have to like that. The Irish coffee could use more margin... a bit too much whiskey in it... for the sake of goodness. Glad the music was kept at a low volume. Very smooth service... really polite... even though the place was completely full. That's really great in these times of staff shortages. The atmosphere and decoration are cozy.

Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly. The food used to be good, but that was clearly not the case this time. Last week I ate here with friends, and from the start, things were noticeable. Empty glasses weren't taken away, which wasn't a disaster, but it was noticeable... The main course was a real disaster. Nine out of ten girls' food was cold. Three people's sauce was missing, and two received the wrong dish. Because everyone was quite hungry, some of it had already been eaten before we could mention it to the staff. When we finally reported it, it was thankfully resolved and we received a drink on the house. The desserts were also disappointing. Everything was very dry: from the lava cake to the cheesecake. The "tiramisu" wasn't really tiramisu at all, but a dry pile of crumbs with whipped cream. It's a shame, because it's always been good here. I can still recommend lunch (there's not much you can do to mess that up), but I would skip dinner for now. In any case, I won't be eating here again in the evening anytime soon.

Had four cocktails here for over 40 euros. The price is okay, but I think they forgot the liquor!!! It's better to make your own at home. I mentioned it, but the staff didn't seem to care. In December, we celebrated a birthday party in the upstairs room. It was a great experience from the very first information. The party itself was perfectly organized, with great service and a delicious walking dinner. The atmosphere was fantastic, thanks in part to the friendly staff. Unfortunately, things started awkwardly. We hadn't even taken off our coats before we were asked if we wanted something to drink. Later, the same waitress returned, rattling off something about a dish at breakneck speed, making it almost impossible to follow. The main course went completely awry. After cutting it open and tasting it, my friend realized he'd received a salmon burger, while he'd ordered a different one. The names are very similar (Mac Wonders and Wonders Burger), so confusion is quite possible. When he pointed this out to the waitress who had taken our order, her response was curt: "No, you really ordered this one." Nothing more. Because I found this reaction very rude, I spoke to another waitress. She said she was "annoyed" but explained that the burger couldn't be exchanged because it had already been eaten—as if such a burger would be served to someone else. My friend had already started eating, precisely to avoid ruining the atmosphere after the strange reaction he'd had earlier. No other burger was offered, no compensation, and the price was never lowered. I've never experienced such unfriendly and rigid behavior in a restaurant. There's absolutely no reason for us to return, and unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

Beautiful, atmospheric, and well-decorated. Very friendly service. A few minor errors, but that's human. It was very busy due to a theater performance. Our main course was delayed and cold. But I understand, and it was delicious. Beetroot carpaccio is a lovely dish, good chicken, delicious pasta, and excellent fries.

We ate at Wonders HHW for the first time, and a miracle would have to happen if we ever go back. We made a reservation a week in advance for three people. We were seated at a table for two! After asking twice to move to a larger table, we were "rewarded" the second time and seated at a slightly larger table for two. When several guests arrive after us without reservations and are seated at a regular large table, it's quite unusual, to say the least. The main course: The Chicken Satay: not very flavorful. The Goat Cheese Salad: meager, no honey, hardly any pecans, and no dressing. The Hamburger: fine, but you can't go wrong with that. Dessert: The "Italian classic," as they call it, the Tiramisu, took the cake. A glass of whipped cream with some crumbled cookies with a ladyfinger dipped in them! I hope the chef had a day off today, because this is not worthy of the name Wonders!

The three of us had a wonderful dinner. We started with delicious focaccia wedges, followed by goat cheese salad, pepper steak, and bavette steak, accompanied by sweet potato fries for the main course, all of which were very well received. Afterwards, we enjoyed three desserts and cocktails and mocktails in between. The Bramborghini is highly recommended. The food and drinks were very well received everywhere, and we were greeted and served by very friendly staff. The interior was also very atmospheric and cozy. One drawback is that the theater side of the restaurant is a bit dimly lit to read the menu properly.

Besides dinner, you can also go bowling. We bowled for an hour before dinner, which is why the price was over €100. The owner went to great lengths to source her meat. From what she told us, she wanted to source certain products from a butcher that she wanted to be perfect for her. And you can definitely taste it. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone with allergies could still enjoy it. They also came by several times to ask how everything tasted. The service was also excellent.

Friendly, efficient service. The terrace is great, with a bit of a breeze and shady spots if you're lucky. We didn't enjoy the food. The country bread with tuna salad is like a tuna-flavored mayonnaise sandwich; you have to search for a piece of tuna. The truffle shuffleboard sandwich also had too much (albeit flavored) mayonnaise. We don't like a lot of mayonnaise, and there was no escape because it was smeared everywhere, both on the bread and on the lettuce. The club carpaccio sandwich from last time wasn't tasty either; it was very large chunks of bread with thick crusts, and the toppings weren't evenly distributed. We might come back for drinks, but we won't be eating here again.

We had GreenEgg bavette, and I opted for sweet potato fries as a bonus. Delicious 🥰 To finish, we had a "Bram..." cocktail. Amaretto and Peachtree with lots of juice, love it. They kept asking if we wanted something to drink, even though our glasses were still half full. A bit much 😉 We had a late lunch, so we didn't have an appetizer or dessert.

Food was very good but staff very slow. It took 15 minutes before we even got a menu, and we had our food about 50 mins after arrival. And it wasn’t like it was so busy either.

Nice restaurant! The food was tasty. Only the place where we sat was not so nice. You sit very close to other people and there were children sitting next to us who often touched our table or bumped into my bag. Apart from that, we did enjoy the food.

At a high tea that was booked well in advance, there was no adapted high tea for dietary requirements. Instead, they could choose something from the lunch menu! How difficult is it to offer lactose-free and gluten-free. No compliments for Wonders.

April 4 we had dinner at Wonder's then went to Sara Kroos. service did their best. the chefs also did their best. the food was good. I only asked for 1 plate of large sweet potato fries. we got 3 but not at the same time as the fish stew and the tuna. There were a lot of fries left. It is a pity that people do not really listen to what is said or asked at the table. it would make a big difference. Waiting for hours for food doesn't do much good, especially if you still have a performance ahead of you. Planning and structure could be better. I think then the atmosphere will be much better

The mimosa, my favorite item on the menu! You definitely have to order it if you go. The atmosphere was quite cozy, the staff were all very friendly, and everyone was attentive to our table. We had a bad experience elsewhere, but we completely forgot about it when we arrived here. Thank you because more than just a meal, it was a very pleasant moment.

Last Saturday I went to Wonders in Heerhugowaard with three friends. We ordered the 'Provencal fish stew', but unfortunately the dish had no taste and we did not like it. In the end we didn't eat it. Even though the four of us paid a total of €210, two of us went home hungry. In addition, we heard a woman at the table next to us who was very angry because her order was not to her liking, but she still had to pay.

Went here for dinner 6 months ago and had cold food sent back. Tried again yesterday. Went for dinner with 4 adults and 4 children. 1 dish was completely forgotten. The food that did arrive was lukewarm. Steak was rare instead of medium. The well done steak was bone dry. You are not seen by the staff. Heating up a cup of milk was too much work, that was impossible. But had to leave 320 euros behind for a very disappointing evening. In defense we were told; yes, I and my colleagues have not heard any complaints... so I just have to ask every time we come there if the food can please be heated to a normal temperature?

Had a delicious dinner with my girlfriend prior to a performance in the theater. The dishes were tasty and the atmosphere was pleasant. We were served very well and were ready on time to go to our performance.

Friendly staff and we had a person on a diet who they dealt with very well. Very nice that there was a grill plate! Grolsch beer is not to everyone's taste. I think they prefer Heineken in this environment. Furthermore, it is a really nice restaurant for lunch or dinner!

There were 5 of us for dinner and everything was delicious! Staff was also friendly and the atmosphere is also great. Beautifully decorated and nice places. The only downside was the portion size of the dame blanche.

Went out for dinner with our 4 grandchildren during the Christmas holidays. Very nice meal and the service was also good. But the dishes, especially the chicken satay, were disappointing. The salad had a lot of lettuce and few other dishes and with the chicken satay, a dish for around 25 euros, 1 skewer with 5-6 pieces of chicken, lots of satay sauce and a bite of cabbage. In addition, a small basket of fries. All in all, we thought the dishes were tasty, but too limited in size, especially considering the price.

Had a super delicious meal yesterday. Great service. We had multiple allergies and a pregnant one and they took everything into account and everyone in the service was aware. Nice to experience such good service. We will definitely come back!

Had a nice lunch today with a visit from Germany (wonderful Christmas present). Tasty lunch dishes, also vegetarian and for children. Good portions and very nicely presented. Good friendly atmosphere, we are already looking forward to dinner there tomorrow evening with a few more people ☺️

Had dinner on Boxing Day with my partner. Ordered a steak but it was very disappointing. Meat well cooked but tasteless. There was a sauce included, but this was a tasteless and watery substance. Vegetables 1 small piece of broccoli and something of potato gradation which was sweet and a kind of patty filled with a sweet cream, no combination. It was a disappointment for us as far as the food is concerned. Service very good and hospitable and nicely decorated. No more dinner at Wonders for us.

The quality of food is certainly not in proportion to the prices. For 15.50 euros a 12 hour, lukewarm croquette, lukewarm soup which personally was not tasty and then a dry old wrap... all in all sad and all 4 thought it was not worth the amount. Certainly no more miracles for us

Just warmed up at Wonders. Received a nice table quickly, was able to place the order quickly and soon received a delicious cup of tea with a cookie. Super friendly service! Atmospheric corners created.
