Honestly, the best place I've ever eaten out. This is one of the best places to enjoy a good meal with family, whether it's for something special or anything else. I went here for dinner today with family for my 18th birthday. We had such a great time, and the service was truly fantastic. I'll definitely be back! Highly recommended! We tried new food we'd never had before, and it was so delicious. Wow, I love it! I had a lovely evening with a great atmosphere.

We arrived with a large group and were treated incredibly well. The staff was incredibly friendly! I took lots of pictures, but unfortunately, I couldn't get a nice group photo of you all :( In sha Allah, I'll bring my Polaroid camera next time and take a nice group photo of you all!

The service is so awful. I usually don’t give 1 star but this was one of the worst experience at the restaurant. Avoid this place if you want to have a nice dinner.

First of all, we had a delicious meal. We had piri-piri fettucine and steak with gorgonzola sauce. The fettuccine sauce isn't Italian, of course, but it was damn good. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the decor and atmosphere are lovely. What we weren't so impressed with, however, was the lack of a drinks menu. The wine we ultimately ordered turned out to be €65 a bottle. That was completely out of proportion. There's also a sgroppino on the menu, which turned out to be three scoops of lemon ice cream with strawberry sauce instead of lemon ice cream with prosecco and vodka. If you bring it up, they tell you this is the original. These are minor blemishes on an otherwise lovely evening, and they won't deter us from returning, but it was a bit of a shame.

I've eaten there several times with work. The welcome is warm. The atmosphere is cozy in a modern restaurant. And I can only say about the food: it's fantastic. Whatever you order, it's delicious. This is the fourth or fifth time I've eaten there, and the quality and flavor are consistent. It's not that it's better one time than the next. No, what you eat the first time, is just as delicious the next time. Another plus, I think, is that there's a disabled toilet.

Went there to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Unfortunately, we were charged for a dish we didn’t order. When we called to clarify, the staff didn’t handle the situation well and even hung up mid conversation. The restaurant itself is nice, but the way the situation was handled was disappointing.

I went to GIA today, and we had a birthday dinner. The manager was extremely unwelcoming and rude, we had brought a cake to sing happy birthday to our friend and they tried to charge us 30+ euros for the cake. The service was extremely slow and took forever to take our orders and recieve the food. We were also charged extra for something we never got (another 9,50 down the drain). The food was pretty okay not amazing but not bad. Slightly overpriced for what we got! UPDATE: I called ! They said that the Fettucine Alfredo was more expensive because of the chicken, I can get chicken at Jumbo for cheaper, Why lie that they told us it's more expensive than what's on the menu and we were never even told at all! They completely lied and now they get one star from the intial 3 stars. Extremely disappointed and scammed! Never going ever again!

The food was fine, but it's a shame that the bill included dishes we didn't order. Besides, you can't expect people to completely change their plans just to come back for the refund if you find out later. Update: We called about the extra dish that was wrongly added to the bill. The owner initially tried to convince us that the pasta was more expensive than listed on the menu, and that that's why an extra dish had been charged. This wasn't true; we were simply ripped off. The owner was also very rude and hung up mid-conversation after making up this lie. I absolutely do not recommend this place. There are plenty of other honest and hard-working businesses in the area who deserve your money.

We received excellent service and the food was delicious. But what made it extra special for me was a woman with a dark complexion wearing a headscarf—what a presence and strong energy. The staff were fantastic and I definitely recommend them.

Be honest for me this is the best restaurant in Amsterdam!🫠 Location is good , restaurant looks very nice inside luxury and nice vibe and cozy and comfy😊 Gia have a delcious food and grandma recipe meat balls 🤤 taste you will never forget 🤤 all food was so good , drinks and sweets 🙂 Service was really good and nice people. I recomended from my heart this lovely place . For sure I will come back there❤️

Went to GIA for the first time, and if you don't want a stomach ache the next day, definitely don't go. So beautiful inside, you'd think the food would be a 10, but far from it. We had stomach aches for two days. We complained to the owner, only to be told: "We can look into your complaint if you have a doctor's note." They want you to get food poisoning before they offer a solution. They also clean up the place quickly, making you feel like you have to hurry so they can force you to have dessert. I left it at that; I didn't feel like it anymore, but I'll never go back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I'd eaten at Gia's before, and I had a positive experience. That's why I went back yesterday and brought company because I was so impressed. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday wasn't as good, and I suspect this was because the manager wasn't there. We waited a long time for our food; the fries didn't arrive until I asked if they were coming. I was told they were coming now, and then we waited another 10 minutes. There were plenty of waitresses present, but they were so busy chatting that they didn't even notice us raising our hands to ask for something or to order more. We were asked if everything was to our liking, and then she made a comment about a dish. Then she started arguing and cleared the table without asking if she could or asking if we'd finished eating. I would keep the manager in the workplace ;))). The next day, both my girlfriend and I had stomach problems. This is such a shame.

If you're looking for a nice, cozy place to enjoy a delicious meal, you must visit this restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The servers are super friendly and polite, and the food is excellent.

On September 11th, I went to GIA with my family. The food was amazing, and the service from all the staff was excellent. Besmah (unfortunately, I only know her name) in particular stood out for her kindness and her open, cheerful demeanor. The other staff were also incredibly friendly. Thank you so much for the surprise and all the wonderful care. Compliments to the chefs, the bartender, and the cashier!

Why would you say that you’re open till 12:30 but the kitchen closes at 10:30??? Makes zero sense. Showed up at 10:33 and they wouldn’t take one to go order.

I ate at Gia's for the first time last night. What a fantastic restaurant! The decor and atmosphere are a perfect match. The staff is friendly and helpful, but above all, honest. There were a few desserts missing (which can happen), and they kindly resolved that with some recommendations. We had a wonderful meal, and I can't say it any other way. Definitely worth going back and highly recommended.

I don't normally write reviews, but wow. What a restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious, and you can taste the passion and authenticity. Tony elevated the experience to another level. He knew something to say about every dish and knew exactly what to recommend based on a short conversation—truly fantastic. He's full of passion, and you can really see it in the stories he tells, and it's definitely reflected in the food. I gave it a full 5 stars because this restaurant truly deserves it. We had a dessert that wasn't on the menu: a homemade cheesecake with pistachio cream on top, made with pistachios imported from Italy, and you can really taste it. I'll definitely be back. They add new things to the menu every so often, so it's always a treat. The atmosphere is relaxed, the decor is lovely, and the staff is super professional and incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

The food was fine, but the service wasn't. We were in a group of 20, but the man serving us made strange comments and seemed irritated the whole time. Not exactly the kind of attitude you expect when you're dealing with such a large group of customers.

This place is great. Today is King's Day, and the girls went above and beyond to accommodate my group of 12, they were extremely friendly, and the food was excellent. Very happy and I plan on returning.

Had delicious desserts here yesterday. Very friendly Italian manager who really knows how to treat customers. Super nice and social and above all hospitable! We will definitely come back here for dinner and dessert!

The food was good, but unfortunately the service was terrible. The staff was rude and unfriendly. I had to get up myself to place our order, as no one came to our table even after 30 minutes. The waiter literally slammed our plates onto the table. We also had to get up again for drinks because we never received any. The first course arrived together with the second course, which made our food go cold since we couldn’t eat everything at once. When we brought it up, the server walked away without saying a word and never came back to our table. First and last visit.

I went here during iftar and it was a bit of a weird experience. The food came after 40 minutes, but I didn't mind that because it was busy. But for waiting that long I expected something better. The food here used to be good. Today it wasn't so nice unfortunately. There was hair in my food, and that made me really sick. It really wasn't my hair, because it was very short, like it came from a beard. Also the pasta was too watery, which made it not tasty. So I'm quite disappointed.

Celebrated the farewell of a colleague here last Wednesday. What a beautiful ambiance with delicious dishes. A real treat for the taste buds. My special thanks go to Toni, what a spontaneous and professional waiter. My gluten allergy was taken very seriously and he immediately arranged another dish because I did not like pasta. Highly recommended. Definitely come back here.

Yesterday my wife and her friend went out for dinner at GIA Restaurant, and unfortunately that turned out to be a big mistake. Both became ill after eating, with clear symptoms of food poisoning. This is truly outrageous and unacceptable for a restaurant that should take food safety seriously. We expect a restaurant to adhere to hygienic standards and use fresh ingredients, but apparently that is not the case here. Now I'm at home with a sick wife, and that should never have happened. I advise others to think twice before eating here.

Another great experience at GIA! Tony, the host, helped us again very well. Always friendly and with top service. The steak was, as always, of the best quality: perfectly prepared and buttery soft. The gorgonzola sauce was delicious and highly recommended! We will definitely come back here again.

Menu actually not interesting (I could have checked that in advance of course). The food was also really substandard, nothing special about it. It also took a long time before we got our food. At least 25 minutes off the top of my head (and I haven't even taken into account the delay due to errors on their part). Service was really bad. A waiter/waitress must be able to speak decent Dutch, that seems quite logical, right...? Furthermore, there was really little looking around to see if anything was needed. At least they didn't see us in the corner. That meant that we had to ask for help very idiotically (standing, waving, shouting) and that took a very long time. Finally: nice decoration, absolutely, atmosphere was also nice. But yes, if the service is not there and the flavors are not interesting (the eggplant casserole with mozzarella was sweet by the way, was there sugar in it or something?!) it is a once in a lifetime for me. Nice to have tried, a waste of money, I would say. And oh yes, the carpaccio was nasty. You couldn't even chew it through, absurd. And I would also ask carefully what exactly you get when ordering a dish, because there was quite a discussion about that too! (in the end they were kind enough - and a good thing - to let me choose another dish without me having to pay for the first dish)

Simple italian menu, something for everybody. Beautiful decor but the service was super slow and food was a bit bland. FYI this place also serves only non-alcoholic drinks.

It's a shame that you made a reservation but were turned away upon arrival because it was too busy... The host, a bald man with glasses, then indicates that we should come and try again in half an hour! Not everyone lives around the corner. I have never experienced this before at any restaurant. And an apology was also not possible.

I had made a reservation at GIA Amsterdam for Saturday evening, December 21, 2024, at 8:30 PM. Unfortunately, my family and I were not helped upon arrival and were not assigned a table because the restaurant was said to be “full”. Even though we were right on time and the reservation had been confirmed well in advance. The reason given was that guests had been dining for 2.5 hours. However, when I glanced at the tables, I saw that most of the guests were still waiting for their food. This gave me the feeling that there is little respect for the time and appointments of others, especially considering that we came from far away with two young children. It was a great disappointment for my family, and especially my children. Our evening was completely ruined by this poor organization and lack of professionalism. For future guests: be warned that a reservation here apparently does not guarantee a table. For me this was the last time at GIA. A disrespectful and disappointing experience.

You can come here when it is a bit quieter because the food is good and the older man/server really does his best. When it is busier, you can easily wait an hour and a half for a pizza only to find out that the order has not gone through. The staff really doesn't care, very disinterested and shrugs their shoulders and you can just pay for the drinks you were waiting for. It's a shame because the food was excellent last time.

Second time here and it really is a beautiful restaurant, super neat. Regarding the food: delicious, full of flavor! Always very critical with food, but this meets all my requirements. Super sweet girls who work there, all your wishes are fulfilled here. 🥰

We had to wait 40 minutes for our food. That is not such a big problem as long as the food is tasty. Well, that wasn't the case at all. Octopus was extremely tough and burnt on 1 side. So really not nice. The shrimp were also tough. Too bad, because the taste itself was fine. With the fish dishes you get half a block of lemon. Nice, but you can barely squeeze any juice out of it and it's not a sight either. The first time we were here, my friend asked for his piece of meat to be medium rare. And then it was completely fried. After this, we wanted to give it another chance today, but unfortunately, no more gia for us. The concept is nice but the food has no quality. Host is nice.

Delicious food, we had tomato soup as a starter & warm bread with dips. Then the fillet steak & GIA hamburger with truffle sauce and everything tasted delicious!! The mojito with strawberry in it also very tasty. Service was great and it was no problem that there were some adjustments to the dish because I didn't like some things. Super nice people and delicious food, definitely recommended! 🤭

Went to GIA today. Everything is halal. Carpaccio was delicious. Fillet steak tasted good. I requested that they bake this medium-rare and they did it perfectly! However, the steak was no longer very warm. Service was great and we got our food very quickly!

Stopped here on holiday, I had beautiful fish in pistachio sauce, my friend had a pizza and another had some pasta, all dishes were wonderful, the building is comfortable and the staff are friendly. Can't recommend enough

Perfect restaurant. We had the privilege of being served by the chef himself who, with his 32 years of experience, offered us 5-star service and a memorable experience. We had to order our chicken pasta dish a second time because it was so good. The primitivo red wine was heady.

Had a great meal tonight. Nicely served by Tonito, super nice and enthusiastic man. We ate the following: Bread, tomato soup, scallops, pizza and Rib eye. Everything was really 10/10. The waiting time between the starters and main courses was just right. We will definitely come back.
