It was fantastic, we had a delicious meal and enjoyed the hospitality. The owner understands what you can expect as a guest: attention and service, and of course, good value for money. We would love to come back here to the terrace.

I had a superior experience at cafe 84! First of all, it is located along a beautiful canal with outdoor seating and the weather was perfect to have a meal by the water. My server, Corne, made my experience beyond amazing. He started off with recommendations for the fish soup (soup of the day) and smoked salmon entree, both of which I ordered. In addition I ordered a Jan Hertog beer which paired nicely with the meal. The fish soup was fresh and had various seafood including mussels, shrimp, fish, and squid. But the salmon was the real winner! I wish I could return everyday just to have that entree! Honestly, hands down the best salmon of my life- smokey, moist, flaky- just perfection all around. Aside from the incredible meal, I was the only customer during the time I was there, and I was treated with above and beyond service. Corne came back sufficiently and checked how everything was for me, but also provided me with lovely conversation as well as local recommendations for my first stay in Amsterdam. This place is really the best, I will definitely be returning!

You can sit here both inside and outside. Terrace by the water. Wide selection. Affordable. Organizes pub quizzes. Checkers competitions are also organized.

We did the beer tasting at Eighty-Four. Very good service and friendly staff. The tasting gentleman knew how to tell nice information about the beer at every beer round. They also have games that you can use. Had a very nice afternoon!

This is the best view in the neighborhood, the best selected beer and the best atmosphere in multiple neighborhoods The staff is helpful and warm, the smoked salmon is genuinely WORLD CLASS and the burgers are second to none I can't believe we got a table here, this place deserves to be slammed from open to close There was no other place in all of Amsterdam that did it this well, all in Thanks team!!

Nice business, but because the staff has no experience, it does not run smoothly. Getting the wrong drinks, eating takes a long time, paying for things we didn't get. Very bad experience.

We were hungry and we passed by this place just before closing in the evening…they stil got us food and it tasted very good! Mention of honour to the staff who were amazing, friendly and really caring! Great atmosphere as well, I’ll come again to have a beer, some fries and enjoy football games:)

Very good service from the staff, they served us late (our fault) they offered us what they could (given the hours) and they made an effort to make themselves understood in Spanish. In addition to that, we ate very well and of quality. Recommended stop.

Had a super fun evening. We were kindly welcomed by the bartender. We had a delicious meal, the hamburgers were good and the camembert was tasty. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and the bartender knows how to run a bar. If there is an exciting sports match, we will definitely come back here again.

Go for the house-smoked salmon as a specialty. The salmon portions with the lunch dishes were a bit too small in my opinion. But certainly tasty and fresh.

Very nice restaurant, far from the mess of Amsterdam downtown. As suggested by the staff, their salmon was very good and I'd recommended it. The place has several board games available for guests and the layout is relaxed and elegant, yet informal, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. Music choice in the cafe was also excellent.

Had a delicious meal here yesterday with two friends. each of us had something different and everything looked and tasted delicious. I had a delicious salmon steak with grilled vegetables. Highly recommended. Football is not my thing, but when there is no important match, not all screens show football. A fire was burning on our screen.

Personal service and delicious freshly prepared dishes served with attention. The menu initially looks like dishes at a standard bistro / cafe, but it is more than that because it is pure and prepared with fresh products. We will definitely come back!

Located slightly outside Amsterdam center but worth a detour. The meals were well prepared, home-made and of high quality. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice terrace on the water. Definitely recommended.

Leuke plek aan het water. De mensen die er werken zijn vriendelijk, geïnteresseerd en behulpzaam. We hebben vooraf een salade met geitenkaas en een salade met zalm gegeten, was erg lekker. Daarna ieder van ons de Eighty-Four burger. Hierbij werd een bankje patat geserveerd. Ik dacht dat dit te weinig zou zijn. Op aanrader van het personeel eerst maar kijken of we het idd nog wilden bestellen als we halverwege de burger waren. Bleek inderdaad dat het te veel zou zijn. De burger was al een hele hap. We hebben heerlijk gegeten en de sfeer was relaxed en prettig.

We have been here many times with our 1.5 year old son. We are always warmly welcomed. The food is freshly prepared and you can really taste it! This tent is an asset to Amsterdam East!

We played bridge here, in connection with Himbak's Bridge Drive pubs, and I must say that we were kindly received by enthusiastic employees. One gave the impression that this is always the case at this location. So I can highly recommend it. Top.

We were here with our team from work for a three course meal. The outdoor spots on the water are especially wonderful! The staff were always very friendly and we were also very satisfied with the food. But you can always come here for just a few drinks.

Really amazing personal service (a bit slow at times, but nothing out of the unusual in NL). We took the set menu, and every option was a good one. Good selection of drinks which complemented the food. Our little one also gives it two thumbs up.

I really like this place, always visit because of that wonderful apple pie, it’s so delicious. But this Sunday, omg that was just incredible, maybe they changed the recipe or so, but that was definitely the best apple pie in Amsterdam. Well done guys!

Had an outing with organization at Eighty-Four. We had a great evening. Corne and his staff are top notch. If you want to experience a top evening as a company/organization, Eighty-Four is definitely recommended for a fun, successful evening!

Smoked salmon as well as a salad of grilled vegetables with nuts was really tasty. Mushroom soup taken in advance was also delicious. Very friendly service with good advice about choosing dishes and the wine list.

I can't judge the food yet, but the atmosphere is reasonable and the ladies often come and ask if you want something and if everything is to your liking.

waarschuwing: slecht nederlands - sorry!! ik ben een toerist die dit café is tegengekomen. ik ben zo blij dat ik dat gedaan heb. de service is snel en erg vriendelijk. ik bestelde mijn eten en het kwam heel snel uit. de tomatensoep blies mijn gedachten! er was veel ruimte op het terras met een geweldig uitzicht op het water. als je goed eten en een goede sfeer wilt, ga dan hierheen!

Ik laat nooit reviews achter op Google. Maar, wat ik ervaarde, is een vriendelijkheid op bescheiden wijze, en een heel ontspannen sfeer. Eten en de smoothie waren lekker. Was er spontaan gaan eten, ongepland avondeten, samen met mijn vermoeide kleuter. Ik wil ze hierbij nogmaals echt complimenten geven, omdat ik dit soort bescheiden vriendelijkheid, niet gewend ben in de 9 jaar in Amsterdam dat ik er woon, en er verrast door ben. Ook hele ongedwongen sfeer. Ga zo door! Mijn zoontje wil graag een keer terug.
