The food was delicious, but I was especially impressed with the service. Pleasantly attentive and cheerful, compliments!

Visited twice during our last visit to Amsterdam, great location, service is good, food is so so not great but it’s ok ish, it’s a good location for a couple for some drinks but also for a group dont expect to much, just enjoy the company and the view.

The atmosphere was indeed pleasant, but the rain on that summer day did present a slight inconvenience. The food selection was adequate, though the variety could be improved for future guests. Despite these minor points, it was still a good experience, considering the ambiance. Perhaps, enhancements to the menu would further enhance the overall enjoyment.

Unprofessional service. The staff does not have a coordination. They forgot our table many times. We literally had to wave to them or get up from the table and tell to order. Everything is served so late. They did not collect empty bottles, glasses and dirty napkins from the table. They did not come and refresh the wine service. We asked a dessert with a birthday candle, they just brought the desserts. We had to remind the fire. The waiters/waitress should be more focused, rather than chatting among theirselves. The ambiance and the view is the only positive thing. The price/quality ratio is unfortunately low. I am so surprised this level of service quality on Wednesday evening, which was not so busy.

We simply loved it. Beautiful location, delicious food, and considering the prices of other restaurants in the area, affordable. We'll be back!

We hosted our company drinks on the terrace last week and were incredibly happy. The thoughtfulness, the teamwork, the food, the service, the weather ;), in short, highly recommended!!

Great location for a waterside meal- it’s modern architecture but nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was delish- I got the fish and it was perfect, they used fried capers - I ate it all! Would recommend.

First time visiting Vooges with three of us, definitely a nice place. Not the best first impression upon arrival as I waited at least 5 minutes at the 'wait to be seated' sign and no one came to me, even though a lot of staff walked by and looked at me. Then I just walked up to someone and he indicated that I could choose a spot. Waited another 5 minutes with staff walking by and then had to ask for a menu myself. After this we were helped by another waitress who clearly had more experience and she took good care of us. The food was delicious! Both the sea bass ceviche and steak frites were great. The Thai mussels were also very tasty and went well with a glass of pinot grigio. The location is beautiful, nice view of the IJ and a nice breeze which is good in this warm weather. All in all a great experience, even though there is still room for improvement in terms of service. I will be back :)

Food was fine (nothing special), but the service was really bad. Starters forgotten, no cutlery on the table when we had the main course (we had to ask for it), drinks forgotten all the time etc. The plates were still empty in front of us for over an hour after the main course, and our glasses were constantly empty. Never come here again despite the fact that it is a beautiful location.

This was my 1st time at Vooges and won't be my last! Busy bustle atmosphere, with gorgeous sunsets over the canal. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was also of a high quality. Only a 10 minute walk from the Distelweg ferry which is only 10mins from my hotel in Noord.

Personally I didn't think the food was that special; not particularly good but not bad either. The first mackerel we got was way too salty, another customer at another table had this complaint too, but this was neatly resolved and the new one was tasty. For a coke and ginger beer you pay almost €9, but yes that is the case in many places in Amsterdam these days... All in all okay food, nice place and location with friendly service; for the food (in terms of taste and price-quality ratio) I wouldn't go there again. What I do find very striking here on GoogleMaps is the many positive reviews that have no content at all, from profiles that have ever written 1-2 reviews. Strikingly many in the past 1-2 weeks compared to the total. That doesn't seem very reliable to me.

I had a hamburger, the whole dish was cold, and the meat was raw. The fries tested fishi and soggy. Beautifull view but good place for drink not for eat.

Had a really good meal at Vooges aan ‘t ij! Highly recommended! The atmosphere in the restaurant is good and the service was also great. I had the haddock with the steak tartare as a starter on the advice of the staff! Nice to eat with your family but I would also go there with my girlfriends.

It's a very nice place to have both lunch and dinner. In our 3-day stay in Amsterdam we have visited this place twice and didn't regret it. Very tasty homemade lemonade and food. Please, be careful, because if it says in the menu, that it is spicy - IT IS SPICY 🔥😆. Unfortunately in the Caesar salad the leaves were not washed properly and because of it I can't give 5 stars, but other dishes were great. We loved the service - people are great in this place.
