Small place with mostly local customers. More suitable for couples than families. Excellent food and service. The lighting is excessively dim.

This restaurant is quite the gem. it’s great when a restaurant has a menu which spoils you for choice. I could certainly come back and try other dishes. Everything was clearly prepared with care and was absolutely delicious. The two servers were so efficient we felt that we had the only table in the restaurant. To start I had the scallops which were cooked perfectly with the fennel Tartin. My wife had the jumbo prawns. In between courses, we tried the roasted garlic soup, which was awesome. For mains I had the oven roasted medallion of veal which was amazing. My wife doesn’t usually have fish when we go out, but she made the exception and had the fillet of cod and had certainly no regrets at all. We will definitely come back here again if we will visit Amsterdam in the future.

Beat meal we had in all of Europe. We came here for a friends birthday. Zaza and her team were so so good. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Last week we went to eat at Zaza’s with a bunch of friends. You can just taste that they work with local ingredients. Nothing tasted standard or mass produced. My main course had herbs that I didn’t immediately recognize, but it was so good. It really gave everything its own character, and that made it extra special.

Today I went out for dinner with my boyfriend. A small restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. For vegetarians there is unfortunately not much choice but what is served tastes very good. With every dish that was served I was sorry that it was gone.

Come across this restaurant upon checking on Google, we were lucky enough that they still have 1 or 2 tables reserved for walk-ins. The staff are very attentive and fast. Worth going if you are in Amsterdam.

The food was amazing our waiter was also very nice and helpful only the space is a bit small. As this was a business dinner I felt a bit too close squeezed in. Otherwise recommended :)

Sometimes the food is disappointing, sometimes it is very good, and every now and then there is a restaurant that you will remember and tell everyone about, because more people should eat there. Zaza's is such a restaurant, where the service, atmosphere and everything about it is just right.

The vibe was at 100% but honestly, the food is next level. They truly deserve that Michelin 🌟. Very clean, the staggering very friendly and the food, oh my God the food, was just perfection. I highly recommend them.

This place is special! It hosts an intimate and romantic space for dining. The staff are friendly and attentive (they notice when your drinks, including tap water, are empty and immediately offer refills)! The food is excellent, some really amazing flavours and portions sizes are just right. Easily the best place we dined in Amsterdam (and not the most expensive either)

We learned about this restaurant via a blog. Superb experience both in terms of service and food. Very nice discovery and good value for money. Favorite for the starter with the scallop and the chocolate tart dessert accompanied by a plantation rum. Many thanks for the special attention and advice for my partner who is pregnant. We ate really well, and the wine was also excellent. The service is great, the waiters give you all the explanations of the products on your plate. The place is small and you feel very comfortable there.

I read some of the reviews that said this place was medium ok. Well, we had a fabulous experience. I’d say rank this in the top of the best food we had in Amsterdam, and not the most expensive. It was the 2nd dinner on our trip of 9 days. The staff are awesome and attentive and interesting, adding to the overall romantic ambience of the space, culminating with very well prepared meal presentation and culinary experience. Go here if you can make it. 100’s of choices of dining and we made the right choice.

Heel knus maar toch stijlvol restaurantje vlak achter de Albert Cuypmarkt. De Ierse eigenares was supervriendelijk en heeft ons goed geadviseerd mbt de wijnen. We zaten lang en toen het restaurant bijna leeg was kwam de kok nog even aan tafel om te informeren of het allemaal naar wens is geweest en wat uitleg te geven over de gegeten gerechten. Wel reserveren want het zat vol. (Donderdagavond)

I had high hopes for this restaurant because everything looked amazing—the presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and the service was attentive and friendly. However, the actual taste of the food was shockingly bad. The flavors were completely off, with ingredients that didn’t complement each other at all. The sauce, in particular, was absolutely revolting—it genuinely felt like someone had puked into the dish rather than enhanced it. It was so unappetizing that we couldn’t finish a single dish we ordered. I understand that some people in the Netherlands might be used to praising unconventional flavor combinations, but this was beyond that—it was just inedible. Sadly, it was a truly disappointing and bad experience. Wouldn’t recommend it at all unless they completely rethink their approach to flavor

Fijne plek in hartje Pijp. Gastvrouw die haar vak verstaat. Eten was top, mooie presentatie en hoog op smaak.! Prima prijs/ kwaliteit verhouding. Een ideale plek om in een intieme sfeer ( in dit geval) mijn verjaardag te vieren.

No esperaba un restaurante tan agradable desde fuera. La cocina es excelente. Moderno ambiente, tarjeta de menú no sobrecargado. Los mini aperitivos se sirven para acortar el tiempo de espera. Pequeño pero muy sabroso primer plato, plato principal ha sido delicioso, nadie de nuestro grupo ha sido decepcionado. Los precios son moderados, el servicio es muy bueno.

Volver a esta hermosa ciudad para una corta estancia con amigos. No estaría completo sin una visita a nuestro restaurante favorito. Nuestra quinta vez comiendo aquí y otra vez no decepcionado. Frente al personal de la casa realmente nos dio la bienvenida de nuevo y nos atendió muy bien. La comida era de un nivel muy alto y era una delicia para consumir. Ambiente encantador con un buen ambiente pero al mismo tiempo bastante íntimo! Nos encanta aquí. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente. Los fabulosos Cuatro de Inglaterra. xx

Good quality food and fair prices

Food is ok but overrated. The main problem is it takes extremely long wait between each dish. It took about 90min for two dishes and 120 for three. Seems short-handed both for the tables and in the kitchen, but the service was very nice and friendly. Plan your time wisely when dining here.

Unbelievable! I booked this restaurant in the evening for my wife's birthday, so I took the liberty of informing the restaurant. To our great surprise, the staff had reserved a table for us in a corner that was both intimate and overlooked the entire restaurant. The waiters had decorated the table service for the occasion, and didn't stop taking care of us. In terms of cuisine, the dishes are refined, very well presented and perfectly quantified. In addition to the variety of the few dishes on the menu, you can feel the desire for finesse and surprise from starter to dessert. The atmosphere is subdued and very romantic, the perfect duet. My wife thanked me for this memorable anniversary evening, but I would like to thank you warmly for this evening, which gave us a timeless moment together.

Delicious food, but a bit dated menu. Could have been a bit more contemporary. Service was very good, everyone did their best! The atmosphere was good, but very noisy, cutlery and crockery not up to date, glass of wine not served at the table, toilets need to be renovated. All in all definitely a positive experience!

We came here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and the restaurant made it feel really special. We had the perfect table that they had tastefully decorated and for the amuse bouche course it came in a heart vs a square as others had. Service was impeccable and every dish we had was delicious. Visited with friends who had been here previously. Small, intimate dining room, which is very stylishly decorated. The service was efficient and calmly carried out. The food of course was the star of the show. Scallops on a fennel tarte tatin was amazing. Very tasty garlic soup. Meat and fish dished were all delicious. I would definitely love to go here again.

Este restaurante tiene capacidad para 30 - 40 personas. Cuartos cerrados pero no demasiado ruidoso. Servicio muy atento y buen ritmo en el servicio de cursos. Las opciones de cócteles y vinos son limitadas pero buenas. Excelente comida. Tomamos la sopa de ajo, ravioles, pintadas de Guinea y ternera. Todo excelentemente preparado. Está en una bonita calle con otros establecimientos animados.

A great discovery… we followed the Google reviews and we did well. Attentive staff (speaks French) a pleasant, cozy setting. We were delighted by both the appetizing appetizers, the starters (scallops in tatin and giant prawns) and the dishes (homemade ravioli and guinea fowl), the only regret being that we were no longer hungry to try the desserts which seemed great! ! Between dishes local beers and water 110 euros for 2 TO TRY 😀

Enjoyed a low-key birthday celebration dinner at Zaza's. The staff welcomed and served us with exceptional warmth. The food was delicious, featuring unique and memorable flavors. Despite its simplicity, the menu offered enough variety to satisfy diverse cravings. The only drawback was the portion sizes, which were noticeably small.

Nach einem Museumsbesuch besuchten wir das ZaZa's zum Abendessen. Elektronisch gebucht und € 50 Anzahlung geleistet, betraten wir das kleine und persönliche Restaurant in einem Wohnquartier. Sprachlich trifft sich hier der amsterdamsche Meltpot - man hört viele verschiedene Sprachen - und das ohne einen Parkplatz vor dem Haus ... Wir wählten aus der Karte ein Voor-, ein Hoofd- und ein Nagerecht und waren gut bedient. Ein schöner Ausklang mit netten Gastgebern und Nachbarn! Unbedingt reservieren!

Became my favorite restaurant in AMS, Zaza the owner has helped us with the dishes and it was spectacular! Specially the scallops for first course and the chocolate cake with peer for desert. Totally recommend it!

The owner and the waiter were incredibly nice and welcoming. My husband and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary, and they prepared us a nice table with some heart decor on the glasses and some special amuse bouche for the occasion. The menu was very reduced, so not everything was necessarily to my liking. But the dishes we ordered were beautifully presented and tasted really good. The atmosphere is nice, relaxing and with great music playing in the back.

The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD. They should have a MICHELIN STAR. Super friendly staff and thebtable we had on the sidewalk...nothing better to make us feel immersed in the Amsterdam vibe...

Below average restaurant and too expensive for what they offer. I cannot explain the high reviews. We had scalops for starter and they were served on a base that was extremely sweet as well as it was covering the scalops taste. As main we had a tasteless and not tender at all veal.
