I've eaten here three times now as part of a group. I personally wouldn't choose this restaurant. The staff is welcoming and courteous. To play it safe, I chose the mousaka. What a disappointment. The potato slices were like "potato mush" because they'd been soaking in water for too long. To my surprise, they even came with a portion of fries. The Albert Heijn fresh meal, the mousaka, wins over this one because the authenticity is clearly evident.

Cozy restaurant, nice people, good food and affordable

The food was very, very tasty. We went to the restaurant with our dog. We were immediately given a water bath, and they even asked us if the dog was okay. The staff was very, very friendly. The next day, we made takeaway food and ate it at the campsite. The food is worth the money.

The only thing we were served that was somewhat OK was the Tzatziki—probably bought ready-made. The rest of the food was horrible, bland, and far from Greek. For example, the Spanakopita was made with croissant dough instead of filo sheets and had no spinach inside; the "Feta" in the salad was more like cottage cheese than anything closer to feta; the souvlakis were dry... and so on. They charged us over 7 euros for a water bottle, and the staff behaved weirdly. They decided at some point to move our table while we were already seated and served 😅 it was so ridiculous that it was funny. I bet you won't like this place if you know Greek food and/ or come from anywhere in the Balkans.

Yesterday we ate here for the first time. Coincidentally we ended up here. And luckily they had exactly 1 spot left. We are not from the area at all! But what a cozy place with nice people and what a delicious meal we had!!! Really recommended if you want to eat delicious Greek food! If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back!

Nationally known restaurant with very hospitable owner. Here you will enjoy the varied Greek dishes of excellent quality in a matching interior. There is regular live music and performances in Greek style. Check the website for the schedule. In summer there is a terrace. Reservations are recommended, especially because of the number of tables available. This is the nicest Greek restaurant in the Netherlands.

Last Sunday we came specially from Utrecht to Restaurant Plato in Amsterdam for the second time, and it was once again a fantastic experience! Upon entering we were warmly and hospitably received by the friendly staff. The service was top notch, with attention to details and a warm atmosphere. The food was delicious and authentically Greek! The grilled dishes were well seasoned and juicy, and the portions were generous. The mezze dish and the grilled salmon were especially recommended. The fries were nice and crispy and well seasoned. Although there was no live music this evening, there was still some sirtaki dancing due to a birthday, which created a great Greek atmosphere. Cozy restaurant with friendly staff, but the gyros were very mediocre. It was more like shawarma. In addition, we were not served tzaziki, but a kind of Remia garlic sauce. The salad consisted of carrot, lettuce and a sour sauce. You shouldn't go here for the food. For fun, yes.

Looks like our baby was excited about food! He is a fan of fish and we came especially for him! He loved the salmon and everything and we enjoyed our meal too! You really feel like you are in Greece The baklava was a bit tough, but the ice cream that came with it was really delicious and I will come back for it again The staff was very friendly and nice Thank you and we will be back soon

You have to take the 22nd and 16th from our hotel and it takes at least 40 minutes but it was worth it, very good and abundant dishes so much so that we didn't have dessert

Since the menu was quite promising and the area in general quite monotone with respect to food options I was happy to discover this little gem on a sunny evening. Unfortunately upon approaching the waiter for a table for one he offered me a disheveled desk right in front of the entrance and cash register when I had asked for a table outside with the sunset view. I'm sure that this place is fine, but make sure you have a reservation and set clear expectations about the arrangements. I decided to walk away as I found the staff to not be hospitable.

Great value for the money, the portions are big, the food is always fresh. Every second week there is live music which makes it really cosy and if you feel like dancing it is always welcomed and encouraged. Highly recommend the place if you need a piece of the Greek experience in Amsterdam!

We have been eating here regularly with our family and other relatives for years. It's great! The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the service is great. Always a nice personal word, recognition and friendly. Last week I had dinner with a large group of family for my parents-in-law's 60th wedding anniversary. Everyone could eat what he/she wanted, not a limited menu. Kind congratulations and a nice bottle of wine as a gift for my in-laws. The food was delicious again and the atmosphere was great. Definitely 5 stars as far as I'm concerned! We would love to eat here again soon.

Delicious food for a reasonable price.

Afgelopen zaterdag 1 juni zijn wij de 60st verjaardag van een vriendin in dit restaurant gaan vieren met 13 vrouwen. Toen we hadden geparkeerd hadden we een beetje twijfels want de buurt is daar erg achteruit gegaan en het zag er allemaal een beetje armoedig uit. Tot ik het restaurant in liep....daar voelde ik me meteen in Griekenland! Alle tafeltjes vol en een lekkere gezellige sfeer. We werden meteen verwend met een lekkere ouzo dus we voelde ons letterlijk erg welkom. Het eten was erg goed, ik zelf had de Souvlaki die erg lekker en sappig was en de rest van ons hebben ook allemaal heerlijk gegeten. Maar wat het leukste was..... er was deze avond ook Live muziek en ook nog echte Griekse traditionele dansers. Het begon rustig maar naar mate de avond vorderde gingen er steeds meer mensen dansen.... en toen kwam de Sirtaki en dat was zoooooo leuk want de sfeer zat er goed in. Uiteindelijk was bijna iedereen in het restaurant aan het dansen, van buiten weer naar binnen met een grote slinger, ook nog achter de bar langs. Het was zo een feest, gewoon geweldig!!! Onze jarige mocht aan het einde van de avond nog een bordje stuk gooien voor het geluk, en we kregen allemaal nog een sinaasappel likeurtje als afzakkertje en dat was dus een mooie afsluiter!! We hadden onze vriendin geen leukere verjaardag kunnen geven!!! Wij hebben in ieder geval met de groep afgesproken dat we hier volgend jaar weer allemaal naar toe gaan...om dan maar onze vriendin haar 61st verjaardag ook te vieren :) Voor ons allemaal dus een geweldige avond met veel Griekse gezelligheid, en heerlijk eten en drinken. Kortom wil je een leuke avond ga er dan eens naar toe!!! Wij 13en raden jullie het in ieder geval aan.

Vriendelijke bediening en heerlijk eten. Er was Life muziek en we hebben gedanst. De gasten worden helemaal meegenomen in de authentieke Griekse sfeer. Kortom een absolute aanrader.
