The sandwiches were all pork so I didn't eat any of it.

I really enjoy eating here! The pita gyros is delicious and, for me, the tzatziki sauce is the best — fresh and perfectly balanced. I like that you can choose between a plate or a pita, depending on how hungry you are. Plus, the vegetarian option is really good too — the seasoning is amazing. Definitely worth it!

The meat was burned and the pita bread was really old. I came for the good reviews but was really disappointed, will not come back.

My wife loves this place and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Easily my favorite Greek food restaurant. Employees are friendly and helpful, your order can be customized, and the food is both good and plentiful.

Unfortunately I don't have any photos to show you of the pitaghiros... but I assure you it was really good! The menu offers a wide variety of ingredients to choose from, and the pitta dough is particularly tasty, soft and well made. Maybe slightly smaller than others I've tried, but still satisfactory. The service was quick and the staff very kind and helpful. The night we were there they didn't have beers, only non-alcoholic Ginger beer and other drinks (Coke, Fanta etc.). With a drink + a pita you spend around €15-20, in line with the prices of the city

Food is great but they are very understaffed, I waited about 30-40min to get my takeaway gyros...

YUM! We stopped in for a quick bite and it was just what we needed to refuel after a long day of walking. The vegetarian chicken is out of this world good! (And I’m not even vegetarian!) will definitely be back.

I like Greek food. However, it wasn't quite great. Meat was already lukewarm and sandwich a bit soggy due to some water or something. I expected better, especially considering the unprecedentedly high price for a gyro sandwich. Normal is 4 to 6 euros. (7 or 8 euros is a bit expensive, that is of course possible, it is Amsterdam, 9 or 10 euros is really very expensive and if the quality were really top, but unfortunately not). Edit: Oh wait, now a few years later it is even 13 euros for a sandwich, which is outrageously expensive. Next time we'll go to Zandvoort, Amstelveen, Leiden or to Athens for a Gyros sandwich! Owner probably knows the places I will be going to. ;) I'll probably come back after a year or so to see if things have gotten better. I'll give it a second chance.

The pita’s were SO good, this was such a great meal! Super quick to get our food and the service was really friendly. We got the Greeky Freaky and Chef’s Favorite, they give you a ton of meat and fillings! Would absolutely go again.

The food here is really delicious. I got the double meat, and it was very good. The sausage was a unique twist to Greek food I am not used to. I ended up eating it by itself first and then going back to the pita wrap. The Mrs. Greek had a great mix of vegetables, meat and feta and was recommended by the cashier as his personal favorite.

I tried Greek cuisine for the first time, the pita was spectacular, very nice premises, as well as very good and fast service. THANKS

On King's Day I got 4 chicken wraps here with 3 friends, it was very tasty, but all three of my friends had to throw up a few times 10 minutes afterwards. This is almost certainly due to the chicken, because they didn't eat anything else. Maybe next time pay extra attention to the temperature at which the chicken is stored and prepared. Hopefully this will be of some use to you!

The pita was dry and not properly filled, which was making it difficult to eat the pita. Tzatziki was good but the quality of meat was poor.

Really tasty gyros. You choose your meat from pork or beef or veggie chicken and then choose your toppings. You can have either in a pita wrap or a dish. Very tasty, reasonably priced and filling. There are a handful of tables to sit in, or you can take out. Nice friendly staff.

I ordered (on Uber Eats) a hot Greek dish with additional toppings of tzatziki, olives and grilled onions. All those additional toppings were there but I was missing all the regular toppings of the hot Greek dish, namely: tomatoes, cucumbers, spicy feta and jalapeños 😒☹️😡 So I paid 30eur for for half of the ingredients. And that was after waiting 50min for the delivery because it took them about 3 times longer than advertised to prepare it. Shame on you guys. I used to really like ordering from this place but probably won't do it again.

Don’t go here if you are American— or if you want to be treated as a human being . I live 400 m away from this place and have been coming here ever since they opened. I lived here long before they opened. For many years. I’ve always ordered the chef’s favorite. And I always have substituted the spicy feta for the normal feta. Even on Uber eats I’ve done it with a comment. Or I walked down and order it and bring it home, or my girlfriend goes (She likes the spicy Greek plate). I have ordered food there at least 100 times. Today they wanted to charge me an extra €1.50 for spicy feta even though I wasn’t getting anything extra. I simply wanted to replace one thing with another. Annoying, but fine I definitely don’t care about the 1.50 and I don’t really mind paying the extra money to get what I want. But the way the guy talk to me was ridiculous and horrible. He was super rude and disrespectful. I was just a customer asking why they had changed this process in a nice way. He was not nice. Fine I can go somewhere else. So I said I wanted my money back. He made me sit while he called the manager. Again - fine. He had to call the manager to refund me €21. But then he started making fun of Americans as I walked out. I was still in there while he was talking about how Americans are in front of everyone else in there I stopped, and I turned around and began speaking Dutch — I was about to be rude but I know it’s just not worth it. So I stopped to midsentence and walked out I’m American, yeah. Maar ik ben ook een Nederlander — one who did not deserve to be treated that way, or talked about that way in front of those people, and I live just around the corner when I walked past, I will be reminded to post another review about how bad this place is. Whoever the manager is is responsible. You hire these people they treat people this way. IT IS YOUR FAULT. I’ve never been treated so crappy by anybody in a restaurant in my entire life. Shame on you, Meat and Greek.

This is a great spot to drop by if you are in Amsterdam and you are hungry! The staff is very nice the food is great the atmosphere is chill and relaxing and very good prices as well. I would deff recommend this and return if I have the chance. The place can get busy but definitely worth waiting to seat at the table and have the food hot then and there.

Such a nice place! Me and my friend bought a few gyros to take away. The Chef’s special and the other one I customized. They tasted amazing - full of flavor and the meat was flavorful. We will definitely come back. Shout out to the girl from Lithuania for the best service and good recommendations!

If you’re looking for a great meal, definitely go for the Pita option! The staff here are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service. The bread was a little oily, but it was still absolutely delicious. Overall, a fantastic experience! highly recommended!

The fact that at least when I went there was no one working who spoke Greek, I don't mind... but I did mind that the gyro didn't have potatoes in it! I would say the gyros was tasty enough and I liked it in general but without fries I don't know if you can call it "Greek*. Quite expensive but you can't expect anything else with the location it has. I wouldn't say I had very good service because we were talking about some things that are standard for Greek "sandwich shops" and the kids didn't even understand what I was telling them.

Was excited to try it when I read the reviews. But got immediately disappointed by the sausage gyros which was the only thing I could try. The sausage taste like rubber and nothing about the gyros is greek not the salad nor the tatziki. So overrated. 19€ !!!

I came to Amsterdam for the first time and I walked for 1 hour and 12 minutes in the rain to go to this restaurant to eat with my wife and finally when we arrived there was no one who knew German or English to talk to and after a lot of effort they informed us that they don't have some meats and their pita was without potatoes, pure meat with pita only. Disappointing experience to have been soaked to go and in the end we left hungry. It is a great shame that this shop has a Greek name because in Greece the pie has potatoes inside and there are all kinds of meats. Very very bad experience would not recommend to anyone!!!😡

I ordered pitas with Uber and they cost €15 each and were watery and tasteless. Totally overpriced. Previously (about 6 months ago) €9.80. And that wasn't cheap. But €15? But unfortunately the quality hasn't improved either. Too bad. They used to be really great.

This place was our saviour after a freezing cold tour in the city. The place is compact but the food is delicious! Definitely will grab even as a takeaway in the future. The guys are full of joy!

The food is good, but it is the equivalent of a plate of kebab that in Spain costs 7 euros, here it costs 20. The treatment is superior, the place is small. It's perfect for a quick meal.

I paid 1.50€ for extra goat cheese and fig jam. There was zero fig jam inside. I opened the pita and it was overloaded with onions, one small bit of tomato and two tiny cubes of cucumber. The tzatziki was good texture wise but the flavour was not there. You don’t taste any garlic to it. Very sad because this place’s gyros pita used to be so flavourful when Mano used to make it back in the day years ago. The meat was dry and overcooked like it had been shaved a while ago and the scraps were thrown into the pita. Underwhelming and VERY overpriced and doesn’t deliver good pitas anymore like it used to. At least the actual pita bread was like I remembered it.

Best place for Greek food in Amsterdam! Did not disappoint one bit. Ordered a wrap and every mouthful was delicious. The staff were super friendly and the service was great. Would highly recommend!

Unfortunately I can’t agree with other positive reviews as I found the quality of meat of the beef option highly underwhelming for the price of 19 euros (bowl option), I would have expected real meat for this price but ended up getting an pink processed sausage. The tzatziki also did not feel authentic either, lacked flavor. On a positive note, the salad was fresh as well as the feta with a surprising fig jam on top. Also, the service was pleasantly fast.

A favorite quick lunch when shopping on the Utrechtsestraat. Friendly and quick service, fresh and delicious food, and a fair price. My only wish is for slightly larger interior to host more folks to dine in!

The Italian guys who work at Meat&Greek were really kind to us and the food was great. The portions are very generous and the price is right given the quality of the ingredients. We will definitely be back as we work at the top of the street. The place isn't very big but you can eat on site or it's an excellent takeaway. Must try!

First of all, Greek pita is usually served with fries. The price is too high, and the meat was reheated.

When i saw the menu and the Restaurant name I expected a Greek pita like the ones you find in Greece and all over the world when you go to a Greek place. So I ordered a Greek pita but I did not get a Greek pita. Let me explain: The quality of the bread and meat was good. But thats about it. The meat did not taste like traditional Gyros The bread did not taste like traditional Pita The sauce did not taste like traditional Tzatziki. All it had in common was the way it was wrapped. So if you want a different kind of sandwich, this is your place. If you want a greek Pita - this is not it. Staff was friendly. Place was small but cute.

Massive portion sizes, fresh and full of flavor. Quite a small venue so if you plan to dine in, plan ahead!

A decent pita gyros but coming from a Greek person not a really original taste it's more "Europeanized", no actual Greek people work there and no Greek music that makes it feel less authentic.

I came here with my family and discovered a lovely spot run by some amazing and talented folks! We decided to try the two Greeky Freaky pitas and ordered a special dish for our little one. Since our child wasn’t too keen on eating veggies, the staff really went out of their way to help customize the dish, making it a much better experience for him. I can’t wait to come back again whenever I get the chance!

We had pita giros. Everything very tasty and freshly prepared at an acceptable price for Amsterdam. But the meat was cut very thick from the skewer. I would insist on a thin cut next time. Everything is ok in the small shop with a manageable interior. Hardly any seats. You have to be lucky. Very nice service and chefs. So it's highly recommended Deductions in the B grade

This unfortunately was some of the worst food 😕... in my top 2 list. I have maybe twice before ever written a negative review... that being said, We ordered from this restaurant this evening & it was unedible. We ordered "gyros", but some very unacceptable dry hard full link sausages whole, was the meat in the dishes, sloppily thrown on this pile of soggy white goo, served on cold pita, 🤮... tasted so incredibly bad, I absolutely can not believe this restaurant has a 4.6 rating!?!? 🤯 If someone knows anything about this restaurant's back story, post it someone. I can't believe that rating.

Small restaurant with a warm welcome. Fresh and quality products. It's the first time I've eaten a Greek meal as good as in Greece, worth the detour.

Excellent gyro in Amsterdam. Inexpensive and really good. Meat is tasty, lots of flavor, tzatziki on point. Staff was really friendly and place is clean and comfy. Only one comment, not even a complaint, pita could have been softer. Otherwise this was perfection and exactly what I was looking for.
