Artisanal gyros and pita, top-quality ingredients, and super friendly staff. We returned twice during our recent stay in Amsterdam. Highly recommended for those who love Greek cuisine!

When we first enter already the experience was great. The staff was so kind , available and prompt to organize all the sandwiches in a fast and clean way. If we talk about the food was just delicious. The chicken was so tender, all the ingredients perfectly balanced. I just loved it so much, we took 6 sandwiches because we were 6, and all of us literally loved it! Keep doing like that!

This is a cute place with stunning food. Not your average gyros or döner place -- but really good vegetables, hummus and meat served with a smile. Really enjoyable. No alcohol though -- which is no impediment.

The best gyros I have ever eaten in my life. And the staff is super friendly. This was a perfect quick dinner option for us before we went to the Carré Theatre.

Had a delicious meal, fresh ingredients and large portions. Excellent value for money. €19 for the chef’s special plate (see photo). You get plenty of gyros and pita.

Nice pitas. I ordered a chicken pita with house sauce, feta cheese, olives, and fried onions. It was delucious. The pita is well-filled, with a generous amount of chicken. As for the flavour, it was intense and tasty.

We ordered hot Greek. The chicken was very tender and juicy, just as it should be, and the thyme flavor was wonderful. The spicy feta was also delicious. I recommend it to everyone.

This place is okay. The food was alright, I did enjoy it, but it is not at all authentic Greek gyros: no fries with the meat, all sorts of veggies that you wouldn't have in an authentic gyropita. The service was friendly, but not more. They for sure were not Greeks. Prices are absolutely okay for Amsterdam, I guess. The size difference between a pita and a dish is very big though, if you are hungry pay a few more extra euros and get something that will fill you properly. The place is relatively small, rather for take away than for staying there.

Highly recommended! We ate there twice during our five-day stay because the food was incredibly good and fresh. It's not a Michelin-starred restaurant, but an amazing place to grab a bite. The staff is very friendly and genuine. As is typical in Amsterdam, only card payments are accepted.

A large group of 11 young people and I went for dinner. The food was SPECTACULAR. Murat, Maga, and Cuma, their staff, were very friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent. Our first night in Amsterdam will be one to remember, especially after dinner there. We love you guys, with love from the Canary Islands ❤️❤️❤️

Cozy restaurant with incredible gyros and some of the best prices I've seen in Amsterdam. Portions are large enough for two, or one person as a treat. I always try to make a trip to the restaurant whenever I go to the city, despite living in a different country.

Amazing vegan chicken. I personally am fine with cheese and dairy. Having said that, the option I had, chefs favourite was an explosion of flavour and very filling. Do recommend if you have the time to visit. Chefs were very accommodating to dietary requirements and extremely friendly

I had the Mrs.Greek it was delicious and it had a great portion of meat the sauce and the fillings all paired very well and the service was amazing definitely coming back

Nice place, dish version of the chef's favourite was good and really filling (I was hungry too). Would recommend for food that doesn't make you feel too tired. Just a little small so if it's busy you might not get a seat.

We had a great experience at Meat and Greek tonight ! I personally followed the chef recommandations and took the chef's favorite gyro and it was great , everything was tasty particularely the juicy pork meat. Everyone was really nice and we even got to try the homemade baclava which was deliciously fresh.

We came here during a day out in Amsterdam and we're glad we did. We ordered the chicken and pork gyros and both were really good. The portions were bigger than we expected and everything tasted fresh. The restaurant is small but has a nice atmosphere. They had Spanish radio playing in the background, which gave the place a relaxed and friendly vibe. The staff were welcoming and the service was quick. It ended up being a really nice stop during our day. Good food, fair prices and a place we'd happily recommend to anyone looking for a good gyros in Amsterdam.

Definitely not Greek. A pita gyros should be a basic gyros that when you order a pita gyros it is already the meat and the salad with tzatziki. This place on the other hand makes you pick toppings. Please stop ruining what Greeks made famous and try turning it hip. Ugghhh then on top of that don't get me started that this cost 10 euro. Shame on this guy who charges customers this much. I’ve edited this after posting it 4 years ago and didn’t realise I made a post. It’s that shit I must remind myself to never ever come here ever again. Disgusting. It’s now 12 euro for meat and 1 topping for free. Run.

Yesterday we asked if it would be possible to buy the gyros to prepare at home some hours later ourselves. They kindly helped us, with thorough instructions on how to warm the bread and meat, separated all the cold items from the warm ones, and even gave us a backup bread in case we failed at the first attempt. I wanted to let you know we successfully prepared everything and it was absolutely delicious. We were blown away by the taste and portion sizes, and so grateful for the kindness shown to us. We will be back!

Tasty chicken souvlaki sandwich, good quality, nice people and great atmosphere... but... really very expensive. 14 euros is really disproportionately expensive; my advice is to either make the portions at least 30% larger or raise the price to, say, 9 or 10 euros max. I had to get fries elsewhere afterwards just to feel somewhat full.

Came here before for the pork gyros and really liked it, so this time I brought my girlfriend and tried the Mrs. Greek. She went for one of the vegan options and we both enjoyed our meals. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were good. We also tried the pistachio baklava for dessert and loved it. Glad we decided to come back.

Small space, friendly service, sufficient amount of food/portion. There is a choice between chicken or pork gyros. The employees spoke English, Dutch. They did not know Greek.

Fantastic Pita, but they forgot half of our order. So while one of us already finished their pita the other one was waiting. When we went to ask after 30 minutes we first got blamed for not ordering 2 pitas and we had to show that we had actually paid for 2. Only when we were visibly getting ready to leave, I was already standing outside, they offered us a free drink. Other than that, truly fantastic Pita. I probably would come again.

I think it's one of the best gyro places around Amsterdam. The portions are incredibly large, so much so that we had to order half of it to go. It was incredibly delicious and well-presented, and I highly recommend it.
