The food is truly fantastic! Especially that dish with the unpronounceable name and mushrooms—sublime! In fact, everything we tried was incredibly good and unforgettable ❤️ The bread with fig jam is also highly recommended. The chef was incredibly friendly, and so were most of the waitresses. Only one waitress stood out a bit: she didn't let us taste the wine and set the glasses down rather grumpily, while she was doing a tasting session at the table behind us. That was a bit odd. But hey, everyone has a bad day now and then. Side note: the font on the menu is a bit small (my mom had to use the flashlight on her phone to read it 😅). This can be a bit difficult for older guests, so it might be nice to offer a small light for the menu at the chef's table. I had a wonderful lunch at this cozy restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. I ordered the soup of the day and a chicken salad—both dishes were wonderfully fresh. The presentation was attractive, and the flavors were well-balanced. The decor was stylish, with lots of wood and plants. The music was pleasant but not too loud. The atmosphere was lively but not overcrowded. The desserts looked tempting and tasted fantastic. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

What a gem to find such an amazing restaurant. Everything was impeccable

This isn't your average Greek restaurant, but a Michelin-starred Greek restaurant. Small dishes to share. No standard fare, but unique flavor combinations. A true explosion of flavors in your mouth. An excellent wine list with good Greek wines. Clear explanations of the concept and helpful advice on the number and size of dishes. It can be a bit noisy, especially with groups, but you can still have a normal conversation. Reservations are recommended. Don't go there if you're looking for simple, copious, and relatively inexpensive Greek food.

Although the food was tasty, the service was very poor. Multiple times we had to wait a over 15 minutes before we could order and some drinks were forgotten. We received menus with different prices listed on them. All in all many small mistakes that made the experience less enjoyable.

Good food and super friendly service

Unfortunately the service left a bit to be desired. The food was good but we felt not worth the premium price. It looked as though they were short staffed the evening we visited. Ironically, this was our most expensive dinner while in Amsterdam but the one we liked the least.

Although the place looks very elegant, the type and volume of the music simply does not match the vibe. I could barely hear the person sitting in front to me. The service was attentive, food was okay but definitely below expectations

Such a lovely place to taste delicious Greek food with a twist. Their Tzatziki is delicious as well as the Sea Bass. The filo mushroom should not be missed. Bibi, the waiter is very welcoming and professional.

The food is modest and overpriced for what you get. The meat was ok - but the side dishes we had were quite bland and some dishes like the baked aubergine were undercooked. Service was unenthusiastic and not very attentive - you do not welcome guests at the table with a vacuum and do a bleach mopping while guests are seated and eating.

An excellent fine dining experience! The food is crafted with care and full of flavor. The bread was warm, delicious and varied with butter, salt, and olive oil (it would have been nice if there was balsamic vinegar too) The Tzatziki was simply wonderful, the Cabbage stuffed with rice was perfectly balanced, the Chicken Sliced dish was juicy and well-seasoned, and the Fish was tender and delicious. Even the vegetarian stuffed Pepper was surprising, tasty, and unique. Desserts were the highlight – a refreshing Orange delight, a rich and perfect semolina Cake, and an interesting granola mountain was a special twist. To finish, complimentary coffee and tea – hot, flavorful, and beautifully served. A true culinary experience – highly recommended!

Staff were friendly and helpful. We went with a group of people. Food was overall tasty. However, it took way too long to prepare, appetisers took at least 30mins to be ready and unfortunately had to leave before we could finish the food.

I was there a few days ago and I loved the dishes. From the moment I arrived, the welcome was warm, and the service was outstanding. We were treated very kindly. The food was delicious, and the presentation of the dishes was done with professional detail. The location of the restaurant is very accessible, even by public transport, and it’s a perfect area for a walk afterwards. Highly recommended place!

Delicious food. I wouldn't necessarily call it Greek, more Mediterranean, but that's beside the point. All dishes were carefully prepared, looked appetizing, and tasted excellent. Portions are small, so the price is a bit high. The service was generally friendly, but the table manners weren't always impeccable. The ambiance and decor are pleasant and modern, but sometimes it's difficult to understand each other clearly.

Aggressively and arrogant manager on Saturday night 13 September 2025, Saturday night. Me and my wife came to this place for dinner, we don't speak Dutch. I was wearing jeans and t-shirt, not shirt and jacket. My wife was wearing jeans shirt under the jacket. It was a bit chilling night, colder than usual and we had hot tea from another restaurant with us. So first, we were waiting 10–15 minutes to order anything, so by that time one waiter already saw us with our tea. Then we made an order, second waiter saw our tea. Then we were waiting for our food and their manager came to us to ask, whether we made an order or not. Third person saw our tea. One item from the order was cup of hot water, for our tea. After they brought it, another waiter, young lady, came to us to say that they don't allow to bring your own food or drinks. It was first time I came to a restaurant like that, and as we already made an order, I was confused what to do next. So, we had a dialogue: -you cannot bring your own drinks in here -okay, but we already made an order. (i was confused on what to do) -but you cannot bring your own drinks in here -okay, then what should we do? -you cannot bring your own drinks in here -Yeah, I understand, but what should we do? We already made an order. -yeah, but you cannot bring your own drinks in here It was noisy, and I was talking louder than usual. I believe because of that, their manager (who already saw tea before) came in, and start shiuting at me, that I cannot talk to her like that. I tried to talk to him, but he didn't let me explain myself and was interrupting me, didn't ask any question ot didn't try to understand the situation. Eventually, after he was done telling me, that their are fine restaurant and it is not allowed to bring your food or drinks into fine restaurants all over the world, he let me finish my sentence and I asked him, what should I do then, if I already made an order and didn't want to leave because of tea. He proposed to take our cups and throw them away for us. I agreed. Then we just continued sitting and waiting for our food. From the moment he joined the lady, he had am impression that I'm rude with his colleague, I understand that. But he was talking to me very aggressively and arrogantly. If they are such a nice restaurant, I believe their manager should understand the situation first, before arrogantly protecting his colleague against a customer, who wasnot aggressive at all. Or at least let me finish my sentence first. All I was asking was for a solution for the situation, in which I end up for the first time in my life. All of this are just words, but the experience and feeling after that we're so terrible, that I even lost an appetite and I couldnt even finish ossibly delicious food. Just to be clear, manager was dutch speaking man with a beard and tattoo on his forearms.

Wow. Amazing in every way! We travelled over for a conference and I was looking for local restaurants for a client. The food was insane, the staff were beautiful and we really enjoyed it. Thanks & will be recommending! X

While the staff were welcoming, the food was average. The cabbage roll and mushroom dishes were good - but the chicken was dry and the ribeye was not a great quality meat. The service however was horrendous. We had to ask the waiters to clear the table on many occasions, had to wait ages to be noticed to be served and at one point there were more waiters (incl the manager) outside on a break, than inside serving guests. Definitely not a repeat experience. I love Greek food - this didn't hit the mark.

Disappointing, the starters were really good, but at a Greek restaurant, you just want to eat plenty of good meat. The trio meat dish, especially at €44 (!), was nothing more than what my grandmother would have called a "liflafje" (a small meal). Spending €200 for two and still being hungry doesn't seem right.

We had a fantastic meal at Kaia in Amsterdam yesterday. We were actually way too early, but we were warmly welcomed with a sandwich on the terrace. The food was great, and the staff was friendly! A truly wonderful experience!

The food was good, but had nothing to do with the Greek food. The attitude of the waiter put me off ( arogant, irritated ) . Definitely not going going back .

It’s a unique restaurant with a contemporary menu. We ordered Homemade Bread , Meze Selection , Tzatziki , Eggplant as starter , Meat Selction as main and Revani as dessert. Homemade Bread and Tzatziki is on point. Meze can be better but not bad. We didn’t like eggplant but maybe we use eggplant in great ways in Turkey which is my home country. Meat Selection is ok. Chicken was cooked very good but tasted very bland. Same goes for lamb as well. We feel like main course was not the same level with starters but maybe we made a wrong decision. Revani was good . Overall Kaia is a good restaurant. We would be more happy with our food if we didnt order our main. Since there is a small selection of dishes in the menu , i believe , all the main courses has to match the same quality with starters.

We ate a later with friends. We ate good food.

The rosé was delicious, as was the sauce with the sea bass. The bread was also very good with the fig dip. The chicken was a bit dry, and I expected more from the dolmas. You can also expect quality from the olive oil. The sea bass was my favorite.

The service was outstanding, The architecture and interior design of the place are stunning, creating such a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy a meal. We really, really enjoyed our experience, and this spot is definitely going to become one of our favorite places in Amsterdam.

A restaurant with beautiful interior and design. We loved the vibe. We ordered the seabass, trio meat selection, chips and grilled lettuce. The seabass in butter sauce, meats and vegetables were delicious. We got boiled potatoes instead of chip, which didn't meet our expectations. However, the Ravani cake was delicious 🩷

When you hear about Greek cuisine you feel the taste buds demanding the nectar of Olympus . The journey in the dingy dungeon of KAIA started nicely with the Meze and home made bread that tingled the tastebuds . The thing that was surprisingly disappointing to the core was the ribeye stake. You cannot get a stake wrong, ribeye, salt and pepper , chuck on the grill and cook and sear till perfection of the internal temperature, the medium stake was bitter and burnt for both me and my sister . The only saving grace was the great feedback on the fish from my niece who was visiting Amsterdam . With a 4.7 rating this place is not doing justice to Greek cuisine in this neighborhood. My go to Greek Resturant was closed hence I was here, and I swear never again !

We arrive quite late and even though the kitchen was closing in 15m they served us and told us not to rush and helped us with the menu. The waiter was very kind, informative, and professional and helpful to us. The food was made in good time and was very delicious. It can be quite expensive but I think it is worth it. Very nice place, extremely friendly and welcoming staff, very good food.

I arrived around 9 PM, just half an hour before the kitchen closed, but the staff and managers were still incredibly welcoming. Kaia was so spotless, I actually walked into a window thinking it was the door! 😂 The food was outstanding. The homemade bread came out warm, and the tzatziki instantly transported me back to Greece—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The glaze on the ribeye was a touch too sweet for my palate, but overall, it was an excellent experience. Highly recommended!
