Delicious! I ordered a sparerib, which was to die for! Quite large, but I still managed to finish it. Delicious fries and ice cream, definitely top-notch! Towards the end of the evening, it quieted down a bit, which was great; it felt like we'd rented it out! The service was also fantastic, with super nice people who helped us tremendously. In short, highly recommended!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had dinner last night on October 25th. We were quite disappointed. My husband had a tomato soup for €7.50, which was warm, and that was about it. We both had a rib-eye steak. I really couldn't eat some of the pieces; I asked for it well done, but it was served slightly more than medium. I could have said something about it, but then it would have taken even longer. We won't be back. The price/quality ratio isn't good.

Update May 2025: The food is still of excellent quality. Prices have risen considerably over time. It's a shame that the all-inclusive package, which included drinks in the price, was discontinued some time ago. According to the owner, it was no longer feasible for them. The restaurant was quite full on Saturday evening until around nine o'clock. Seating for four people at a table can be a bit cramped if there are taller guests. The food was quite good, although some dishes tasted a bit different than in the past (a different chef?). Prices have risen slightly, but that's generally the case everywhere at the moment (May 2022).

Tasted delicious, fast service, and very friendly staff

When the food was served I saw a bag on my plate. Upon closer inspection it turned out to be a cleaning cloth for your hands. Personally I don't think this fits on the plate. I would have liked to see it on a separate plate. The mixed grill was just cooked although the waitress hadn't asked how I wanted my meat. A bit of a shame. The service is otherwise good and the atmosphere makes up for a lot.

Had a nice meal here. Friendly owner and ditto staff. Staff always asks if the food was good. It was. We both had sandwiches with tapenade and tomato and lettuce as a starter. Main course for both of us was sliced ​​chicken. Kind of stew. Included were fries and baked potatoes. Brocolli. My wife doesn't like broccoli. Let's just say that we first sat quietly at the window. Later a group with kids came. Too bad. We have 4 adult kids ourselves. And they would come along if they were quiet. Or we took a paid babysitter. Went out for dinner with my parents, brother and his girlfriend. This was already my parents' 26th wedding anniversary. It was a great evening and we had a delicious meal. To top it all off, we received a bottle of Muscat wine as a gift with the house dessert. Service was very good. The food was really good quality. The owner of this place is also a great host. Delicious dinner tonight at Desperados. It was our first time. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and we were able to take a seat. We had made reservations for 5 people and we all had the delicious 4-course dinner for my parents' 26th wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and the T bone was perfectly prepared, tasty and looked delicious. Rico also gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate with dessert. Full, creamy fresh ice cream which was fantastic. Definitely recommended and will come back here again

Hey, you! I'm Lulu! My master told me to write something here too. Unfortunately, we have no idea what the food, drinks, or atmosphere are like, which is something we should actually review here. What we found pretty stupid, though, was that we weren't even allowed to go into the restaurant together. Probably because I look so dangerous. In principle, I think it's perfectly fine if dogs aren't welcome. BUT: Then please post it on your website, on Google, and on all the media you look at before visiting a restaurant. It's quite simple: dogs aren't allowed! So I had to walk 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back, and my master was really pissed off. So: this isn't about the food, drinks, or atmosphere, but rather the fact that nowhere does it say that I'm not allowed in at all.

From 5 to 4. Downsizing the menu and price increases makes it less attractive for us. We can live with price increases, but we also think it would be a shame to downsize. Response to owner: We have been coming to Desperado a few times a year for at least 8 years and we have noticed changes recently. We've been eating the same thing for years, so we know exactly what's on the table. This is our honest experience, and it is a shame that this is dismissed as if it cannot be true. This affects my credit as a reviewer and makes me feel like a liar. A special reaction without any empathy. By the way, we think it is special that the review is labeled as 'special'. Not bad, not great. Carpaccio was watery, was supposed to come with truffle sauce instead of balsamic but instead it had both. Onion rings were limp and cold. The jacket potato with cream was also cold. Fries were tasty. Ribeye was good quality but not particularly seasoned. A bit bland, but I added salt and pepper myself. Could be a bit better. You were not asked how you wanted it cooked, so the ribeye was a bit too raw for 1 person. High mountain eggnog dessert tasted good. Tasty wine and you won't be left with an empty glass for long.

Always good food at Desperados. The steak is exactly the way you want it. Tender, but not too red. In addition, the atmosphere is also good and the service is very friendly. The only thing they can consider is that there is less draft at the places near the door. Maybe the outside door could be closed. If people keep the door open for too long, the staff will ask them to close the door.

Not good, but not bad either. I read very positive experiences here. This restaurant certainly deserves that from its regular customers. But our experience was less good. First time, but for us it will remain this time. We did not find the welcome warm. We thought that was a bit cold, a bit unusually friendly or something. No friendly smiling faces who are happy that you are coming to eat. We also found the atmosphere in/of the restaurant to be far from warm and cozy. The fact that we had a nice evening was not due to the owner?? and the girl at the counter, but because of the very nice and pleasant people who sat behind us. The food on those horrible, oversized plates did not live up to our expectations. A total of 6 shrimps on a mountain of lettuce as a starter was a bit disappointing. The carpaccio was good. We also found the mixed grill mediocre. The burger was a tasteless piece of meat ground to smithereens. That one was really bad. The rest was okay. How tasteless. The rib eye was not cooked properly. Still cold and raw on the inside and burnt on the outside. The side dishes were great. Had lava cakes for dessert. But these were also not prepared properly. The chocolate was more of a thick cold sticky pudding than a soft lava. We are quite used to things when it comes to food. Also care more about taste than quantity. And the atmosphere in a restaurant should be warm and cozy. We didn't find that here. Not for us again. Tip for the owner: Throw those awful large traffic signs in the trash immediately. Present the food on a plate that you associate more with a steakhouse.

We have been coming here for over 20 years now, I think, and it is always a party! First of all, you will be warmly welcomed as if you were old friends and then you will be spoiled with all kinds of delicious dishes all evening long. We had the 4 course menu supplemented with the Tomahawk. Perfectly prepared and cut at the table. Friendly service and charming host who clearly enjoys what he does. When paying, my daughter wanted to leave a good tip, but the host didn't want that. Instead, he shakes your hand very kindly and you leave the place with a warm feeling. Inconsiderate of us: we didn't think to congratulate you on your 25th anniversary. Here's how: congratulations!

After a friendly welcome we were able to take a seat at the back of the store. Cozy, darkly decorated place where we sat at a wooden table and chairs, which were great to sit on. Friendly service that does not come back all the time, but is there at the right time. In my opinion, the food was above expectations. Well-fried meat with a shared plank with some vegetables and a baked potato. Paid just under 200 euros for 4 people, but that was also due to their offer this month.

My woodcutter steak was so raw (ordered medium) that it was impossible to chew and after reporting this, nothing was done with it. For €145.- for 2 people I had higher expectations than this.

This was really an evening of enjoyment! The tomahawk that we ordered as a main course and was cut at the table was so very well prepared and incredibly tasty with the chimichirru and herb butter. All other dishes were also delicious and the service was very friendly. We'll be back soon!

We were here with 4 adults and a child and we all had a delicious meal. The meat, I had the chicken, my husband the hamburger, jacket potatoes, fries, it was all delicious and more than enough. The owner is very friendly and hospitable and solved the problem with our table companion's steak perfectly. He also helped in the search after the child lost his phone. Ultimately it was found elsewhere. In short, highly recommended and we will definitely come again!
